761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Castano - July 17 on: July 19, 2021, 01:47:44 PM
I agree with the result, Castano is a real warrior, he was able to give Charlo a toe to toe fight and the Fans love it. This fight deserves a rematch and I think Charlo would win in the rematch, he is the bigger fighter, if he just learns how to master his jab, I think the outcome will be different.

I was not able to watch the fight live but looking at the highlights, I can tell it's 50/50 and the result is accurate.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka0KQdrX85k
Agree with the rematch, the performance of both fighters are what other aspiring boxers should aim for and Castano winning the match is a well deserved one. It's a good game for both side and it seems that seeing the fight, they both gave their all in the fight.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 19, 2021, 12:11:20 PM
My country, Turkey, is participating in the tournament with 108 athletes. Our favorite sport is wrestling. We expect medals in wrestling. Taha Akgül is one of our most successful wrestlers. Let's see how many medals we will get back from the Olympics as Turkey. What is your country's favorite sport?
In Philippines, I don't think that we will be even participating and if so, I don't think that a lot of athletes will participate, I know how my country takes care of my athlete and in a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 as the lowest, I would rank it as 1 probably because they don't have any support since they don't really further the agenda of politicians.
763  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the next economic crisis in the world instead cause financial inflows into on: July 19, 2021, 11:35:29 AM
I think that when the next economic crisis occurs, Bitcoin should have more advantages than disadvantages, because during an economic crisis, money will depreciate and no longer be valuable, but Bitcoin will not. The more legal currency depreciates, the more Bitcoin rises. The space will be higher, thus reflecting the value as a safe-haven asset.
We still don't know though if bitcoin isn't going to be dragged down by this collapse though but I am a firm believer that we will see it as a hedge by many people that sees bitcoin as it is which is a shield for collapse and inflation.
764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a pattern when there is a dump like this? on: July 19, 2021, 11:02:33 AM
I don't know if there's one but I think you can just follow the pattern of bitcoin prices starting from 2009 up to this day, you will a generalized pattern there that you can probably analyze to see if it's going to be repeated because patterns tend to repeat.
765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will China's crackdown on Bitcoin cause Bitcoin to become worthless? on: July 19, 2021, 10:30:50 AM
They've did this kind of crackdown back them and now isn't even anything worse because the crackdown has already happened and now look, the prices are still that high, it's not like they owned millions of bitcoin and sold it to crash the market.
766  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Follows Ethereum? on: July 19, 2021, 08:51:00 AM
You are gravely wrong OP, most tokens before bitcoin tend to follow bitcoin rather than the opposite. I think there's this image about how bitcoin goes up and the other goes up too or something, although it says there that the following could be the opposite but I don't think that's exactly how it works but I am sure that bitcoin leads and others just follows.
767  Economy / Speculation / Re: David Gokhshtein: Bitcoin Price Will Reach $80K on: July 19, 2021, 08:14:10 AM
That man has 400k followers probably that's enough amount to spread the news around the internet.. And if most of them will believe on his view for sure there will be an impact in the market soon or later in my opinion .. Infact he's part of the doge believer as well, so i hope right now they will focus in bitcoin again until bitcoin reach that predicted value wherein no another quick profits like what elon musk did.
I just hope that I can cash in during his manipulation of his followers, remember that these manipulation can be useful especially with that amount of followers, I think that amount can cause a significant amount of movement in the market.
768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin and GBTC premium on: July 19, 2021, 07:40:25 AM
I think the downward pressure on the market at the moment COULD be because of weak hands who are fearful of this. GBTC unlock is over next week so hopefully we resume upwards price trajectory then.
It's good that there's weal hands in the market because I really want to buy some bitcoin at a really low price. There's no worry when will this upwards price trajectory happen because it will although don't put some hope that it will happen this month or the next because I feel like the unlock is going to make the prices stay at a certain point for awhile.
769  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the lowest price of bitcoin from June to December 2021 on: July 19, 2021, 07:04:39 AM
Probably a 30k or a 28k max, I don't really think that bitcoin will be going down much further than that in the coming months since there's a strong speculation that the prices will go to a 100k by the end of the year or the next year.
770  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies replace fiat currencies on: July 18, 2021, 10:25:55 AM
I don't think so but CBDCs can do the job probably since they're just basically an electronic fiat, the main difference between the two is that you will sacrifice anonymity with CBDC since it's controlled by the government unlike the traditional fiat that still has some level of anonymity.
771  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Renewable Energy resources the future? on: July 18, 2021, 09:43:43 AM
Yes we can make our energy sources renewable if we as humanity abolish the current energy industry that only aims to profit but not care about the pollution that they are emitting because they don't care about the future generations. If the people in position and power have integrity and won't easily be outshined by money, we will probably see a future where we are reliant on renewable energy.
772  Economy / Scam Accusations / Fake Ronin Wallet on: July 18, 2021, 06:21:50 AM
Be careful with clicking on a website because with the advent of Axie Infinity comes the scammers who want to take advantage of people that aren't familiar to crypto world, they are using SEO and advertising to get on top of the search bar for Ronin Wallet, remember to just refer to the Twitter page of the official Axie Infinity to go to the right websites. Lots of money is involved so I am doing a PSA for everyone who is going to be venturing in the Axie Infinity world.
773  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Neptuneswap - Plagiarism whitepaper on: July 18, 2021, 05:41:15 AM
This is a really good plagiarized whitepaper if I say so myself because if you think about it, the normality at first glance makes it hard for someone to spot it so easily, I love that scambusters have a keen eye when it comes to this kind of things because these scammers are getting craftier every single day.
774  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk.org losing user base? on: July 17, 2021, 02:42:59 PM
Yes it was/is that yobit forum - I don't know if it runs and how is it going - , then there's some crypto/altcoins forum the bounties not-in-correct form for bitcointalk were held there, then there's a few forums that were advertised also here .. I don't know how good are they doing, but I guess that some of them do exist.
Cryptotalk is already a fossil, it did gain traction in my school but it ended with nothing but air because the way they make money is unsustainable in so many levels. Also, I don't think that Bitcointalk is losing it's user base, there are new users in the forum that are slowly making merits and making a name for themselves, it's a slow burn so there's nothing to worry about.
775  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Nigeria local board on: July 17, 2021, 02:13:59 PM
I am proudly Nigerian and I strongly believe it is well within our right to request for a local board. We have a good and active user base in the community. As my fellow country have stated reasons why we need a local board, our argument is just and can't be denied. A local board would be a home inside a home (bitcointalk forum). Let's say we want to organise a Bitcoin hangout in maybe Lagos. How do we efficiently convey the information to the interested parties? A local board!
I agree with you, I mean this board should have boards for every country but there's a problem and I only assume this but I feel like there's not a lot of Nigerian users in the forum although I could be wrong and you are all just speaking the English language that good. Maybe it can benefit that they add a board, it's been a while since they've added a board and I think that the African countries, deserves to have one.
776  Other / Meta / Re: Something worse than plagiarism. on: July 17, 2021, 01:22:59 PM
False. You're a sockpuppeting liar like any other fake newbie.
Ohhh, who could possibly be behind the sockpuppet that is @KingsDen then? This is the first I have heard of the term fake newbies in this forum.
777  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is full of opportunities to come on: July 17, 2021, 12:08:14 PM
The opportunities don't come, they're already here for a really long time, some people haven't found it just yet including me because of the epidemic of scams all over the cryptospace meaning that the real ones sometimes get overshadowed or doubted because they think that it's just another scam.
778  Economy / Economics / Re: EFCC launches app for online reporting of economic crimes called "Eagle Eye" on: July 17, 2021, 11:32:06 AM
I don't think this will be effective, especially if the commission that handles the said reporting are also plagued with corruption and reeking with interests for self-gain. Perhaps leave everything to the civilian body that are really wanting to take politicians to jail for mishandling the public's money, but I guess that isn't going to happen since some of those in the commission would be wanting to protect some of their buddies who are still actively working in the government, and just get some kickback on whatever they are working for.
Exactly, they will just be another catalyst for misinformation among the public which continues to think that they are doing so well that they think that there's nothing wrong with their government. Also, this kind of thing is pretty useless to be honest because news outlets or the television can probably do the job.
779  Economy / Economics / Re: Higher Inflation Is Here to Stay for Years on: July 17, 2021, 10:53:01 AM
You don't know what you're talking about in your title OP, it's going to eventually subside, it's just that at this point we just can't see it so we think that there's no end to it. There's a lot of hyperinflation throughout history and all of them seem to subside in time and the country that was affected did recovered from the damage.
780  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is helping out Cubans and Venezuelans on: July 17, 2021, 10:20:17 AM
~

it's amazing that a country can still work things out despite the disorder that's happening. i can't believe the mayor of Miami considers an airstrike on Cuba.
the rallies there are caused by Covid19 still which the government can't really do much but to tell the people to stay home.

this country is actually abundant, the people don't go hungry until covid came. i hope BTC can work out on them.
That's on part that people are crafty no matter how incompetent their government is. Also, is that airstrike request for real though? That's the most aggressive USA had been in Cuba since the Cold War and the Missile Crisis. This is what happens when your communist ideology happens, only the select few gets the taste of good life.
