According to a new report published by the World Bank, Indians top the list of remittance back to India. According to the reports $125 billion was remitted back to India by Indian expat in 2023. The second spot goes to Mexico with $67 billion and the third spot goes to China with $50 billion. Now, with so much money coming into India why won't Indian economy get ranked 5th in the world. A lot has to do with remittances and a major chunk of money is coming from Indian expats living in the Middle East.

The second ODI between India and South Africa starts in just a few hours from now. India are one up in the series due to the impressive bowling by Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan. Need to see whether they can repeat the same level of bowling today. Axar Patel will get included to the team as the pitch looks good for spinners. I guess Mukesh Kumar or Avesh Khan might go back to bench. If India wins today they will seal the series, which I doubt 🧐
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects for investment on: December 17, 2023, 04:12:26 PM
It is not that easy to find project similar to Solana. You would find a project that comes up with a new blockchain. These projects come up to solve the issue of existing blockchain. But, are they able to create an ecosystem like Solana or Ethereum.

You need to check that, also you need to see how actively the developers and the team is working on that project. Which means you need to keep a track of it progress, that is something which would require a lot of time and efforts. If you can do what I have said you will be able to find a good project to invest

Welcome bombard.com!

Nice to see another single game casino creating an ANN page. I went through the first two pages of this thread and found a few features are still being tested. I liked the simplicity of your casino as it is so simple to understand the layout. I hope you guys can get those issues fixed and move into marketing part by coming up with exclusive offers for Bitcointalk members.

Snip..

Sudarshan played really well, as a debutant he got his first 50 in International cricket. He was lucky too as in the early stage of the match he was actually LBW. The umpire said not out as he thought that the ball hit the bat. South African thought the ball might not be hitting the legs stump and did not ask for DRS. Turns out later that the ball was hitting the leg stump.

Yeah, inconsistency has been an issue with Arshdeep Singh. He was bowling very bad in the T20 series, but today was his day. The most consistent bowler at the moment in the Indian team is Kuldeep Yadav. He has taken wickets in almost every game that he has played.
766  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: December 17, 2023, 12:18:22 PM
The bilateral ODI series between India and South Africa will start today under the captaincy of KL Rahul. He has been the captain of the Indian team in the past which did not work out well. If he can win this series then his prospects of becoming the permanent captain for the 50 format will be high.

What happened today with South Africa? They didn't even reach a respectable score while batting first. I heard the commentators saying that South Africans were unable to asses the condition and took the bad decision of batting first. Can you imagine a home team unable to asses home condition. What a kind of excuse is that?

They should accept it that the Indian bowlers were bowling the best line and length. Arshdeep Singh was the star of today's match. 5 wickets with the best of economy rate, India won the match by losing only 2 wickets in the 17th over.
767  Economy / Gambling / Re: tell me the best online casino on: December 16, 2023, 05:05:31 PM
I want to play online casino which has the following criteria,
1. of course not a scam online casino
2. there are slots, roulette and versus (player vs player) games
3. there are deposit bonuses and free spins for new players
4. there is a daily bonus (points or free spins)
5. easy and fast withdrawal process (doesn't have many rules)

1. There have been instances when trusted casinos have scammed their users, this is an area where no one will be able to guarantee you. You would need to trust a casino based on its reputation and its existence.
2. Almost all casinos that have an ANN page on the Gambling board have those games that you have mentioned.
3. That depends on the casinos to casinos if they want to give deposit bonuses, free spins, or both to new users.
4. Not sure whether every casino will give you daily bonuses if they do give you then there will be a wagering requirement attached to it.
5. Withdrawals are always fast if the amount is small if it is big then there will be additional security check that will be applicable, KYC is mandatory with big withdrawals.

MI expected it to be what happened when MSD gave his captaincy to Virat and played under him by guiding him on the field with his decisions related to play but still both of their style of captaining varies, but people accepted it because of national team, but this is franchise and fans are still unhappy about it and MI's followers numbers keep decreasing.

MSD guidance did not help Virat in his captaincy, later he had to give it up and concentrate on his batting. The same happened with Sachin Tendulkar where his batting was affected by the captaincy pressure and Dada got to be the captain. Yes, it was the national team and this is a franchise league where the franchises are dependent on the fans for revenue. We know who owns MI, if MI does well under the captaincy of Pandya then fans will come back otherwise it will become a big blunder for MI. Hardik has been able to perform well as an all-rounder after being the captain of two teams. Still, you cannot ignore what Rohit has done for MI and his contribution to getting so many fans for MI.
769  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Mempool fees and Solutions on: December 16, 2023, 02:01:02 PM
I thought the fee has reduced to some extent when I made a transaction last week but seeing it very high this week marvel me. That the high transaction fee will not just go off like that. I know it will reduce but at this time it will take some time. I tried to make a transaction of 0.001 today and the fee is unusual and the transaction fee was 0.000186 which is equivalent to $7.84 and the fee rate is 129.2 sat/vb so I have to give up the transaction for now till further notice. And if the transaction fee persists, it will affect businesses very badly. Because nobody like to do a business and loss it in. Mostly people that are involved in small scale transactions. I was thinking that before this year will end the fee will come back to normalcy but things are getting worse. There should be a solution to this problem by Satoshi and his co developers.

Currently, the transaction fees are beyond 312 sat/vB and it might continue in the same manner for god knows how many days. For small transactions, it is better to use the LN as a $20 transaction with a high priority fee is now $18.51. Small businesses would be affected by such fees, they won't be able to sustain such insane fees for the long term and would go for alternate options. The problem is with the hype that is being created by Binance whenever they announce they would be listing an Ordinals on their exchange. They recently listed this meme coin 1000SATS and it has been pumping after listing creating congestion in the network.
770  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: December 16, 2023, 01:18:27 PM
Snip..

Unbelievable at first they hired Hardik Pandya back and then they declared him as the captain. What will Rohit Sharma do will be the vice-captain or will he be only an opening batter for MI? I do not think this is the right strategy for the MI team considering the way Rohit captained the Indian team in the recently concluded World Cup and his success rate as a captain in IPL.

BTW, both jersey number 10 of Sachin Tendulkar and 7 of MS Dhoni has been retired by the BCCI. A great homage paid by the BCCI to these two legends of Indian cricket.

That is good news as no one can replace their contribution to Indian cricket and both of them were part of the team that won the 2011 World Cup. I think the Jharkhand Cricket Association should come up with a bronze statue of MSD similar to Sachin's in the Wankhede.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to determine the right gas fee? on: December 15, 2023, 02:18:20 PM
BTW, you are promoting a Bitcoin mixer that has been questionable from the day it came into existence here. I should inform you that you should understand Bitcoin before coming up with a topic that I feel is a big dent for a Bitcoin mixer, which does not care who should promote it. I do feel they got some random guy to spam without understanding how a signature campaign works.
I am only promoting them because of GazetaBitcoin…I don't know them but I know GazetaBitcoin and I trust him and his judgment. He is not some fool, you should know better. You could say I am a random guy but he isn't. And before joining the campaign, I talked with GazetaBitcoin personally about this. I am aware of the questions that were made against this mixer. People promoted Sinbad for more than 50+ weeks and nobody questioned them but only after the accusations were made and caught, everyone started talking.

Left you neutral feedback only because you don't have a simple understanding between the Bitcoin transaction fee and the Ethereum gas fee.

I don't know them but I know GazetaBitcoin and I trust him and his judgment. He is not some fool, you should know better. You could say I am a random guy but he isn't.

That is not my concern if someone is promoting a Bitcoin mixer campaign they should know about the product as in Bitcoin. If you had posted this topic with the right word for transaction fees then I wouldn't have questioned you. Coming up with excuses won't matter now and next time don't hide behind a legendary name for your falt.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to determine the right gas fee? on: December 15, 2023, 01:44:11 PM
Most of you know that gas fees are inputted automatically when making a transaction, but they can be added manually. A reputed member said, "When someone chooses the gas fee automatically, there are many unnecessary fees included, which could have been reduced or deducted."
What is gas fee? Are you sure you are asking the right question on the right board.

As an example, suppose the current gas fee is set at $1. But based on the memepool congestion, it could have been reduced to $0.90, and the translation would still take the same confirmation time (slightly). I don't know how much of it is true or practical but as far as I understood, he meant this.

Bitcoin does not use gas, it is called a transaction fee, and gas fee is associated with altcoins. If you are using wallets such as Electrum and Mycelium you would be able to edit the transaction fee according to your requirements as to when you want your transaction to get confirmed.

I am not in a hurry. So I won't need instant confirmation. I can wait 6 hours, 12 hours, or even 24 hours for the confirmation. Of course, I won't choose a value that would make the transaction stuck. I know that a high gas fee equals high priority. But if I could save a couple of pennies, then why not?

You can forget about instant confirmation till next year, ordinals and others which I am not in the mood to write will congest the Bitcoin blockchain. The miners are supporting them as they know this is an opportunity that they have before the halving to earn a good amount of satoshi.

773  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My crypto news site - cryptotalk.tech on: December 15, 2023, 01:14:48 PM
The main page is updating all the time with the news from the different RSS providers, adding images to the ones that don't have img from the source will be demanding, and taking out the articles that don't have an image is not an option because for me all the articles are relevant info. Maybe a solution could be to add a generic image for those articles that don't have one. But I'm not sure about how to do that in wordpress.

The problem with RSS feed aggregator is that it downloads raw data from the source. Editing the data and then restructuring it to fit your blog theme takes time, if images are not present then it takes a whole lot of time, and it can consume more time than editing the text content. What you can do is use these AI image generators which can reduce your time and energy. To generate prompts there is a plugin for ChatGPT, all versions included and it is known as AIRPM.

It can generate prompts for ChatGPT where you can ask the AI to generate a prompt for image-generating AI. You will need to test the prompt first on different platforms to see if they fit your requirements. Mid journey works with prompts generated from ChatGPT, you can use the plugin to generate your prompts. The work would be hard in the beginning but later on, it will be easy.

If you do not want a plugin then use Bard, with the recent upgrade it is now far better than the other AI. BTW, how do you plan to monetize your website, and has your website ranking improved with the recent Google update?

774  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: December 15, 2023, 12:44:11 PM
Pant, I am doubtful that he would be part of the final 11 as he has not played in any international games for some time now. I am not sure whether he will be playing in the IPL as nothing has come out in the news till now.

It's not confirmed but he's likely to comeback.

I do not know whether he will be playing or not in the IPL or the T20WC. There is one thing I am sure of after seeing a few wicketkeepers/batters playing in his position that he will face fierce competition to get back his place in the team. The names of those players with whom he has to compete are KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, and this new guy Jitesh Sharma. After the injury it would take some time for him to gain his form and his physical abilities, he got his right leg injured badly if I remember correctly. A keeper/batter needs his leg and if you are a left-hander then you rely a lot on your right leg for footwork.

I highly doubt he would get a chance in the World Cup, he might get back to IPL but that is a gray area for us to discuss unless an official statement comes from the BCCI. Till then we need to stop speculating about him being a part of the team or not. No one is to be blamed for his injury as it was his recklessness that got him in his situation and I did say it in on another thread it would not be easy for him to make a comeback.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All thanks to my family they contributed and bought bitcoin for me on: December 15, 2023, 12:30:17 PM
The thing that gets me depressed the most is when I hear about the halving next year and how bitcoin prices may be influenced positively. I wish i could just have some amount of Bitcoin. However, seeing the price of bitcoin now i became restless if the price will soon go higher and i may not afford it.

What you were experiencing earlier is known as FOMO (Fear of missing out), I hope you do not panic when the price suddenly dives. In such situation you should stay calm and remember Bitcoin always bounces back.

So i pleaded with my parents if they could support me. Seeing how curious i am they helped me with some amount in my local currency so i used it to buy Bitcoin. Help me thank them for what they have done for me. Am so happy right now.

So, your Christmas gift has arrived early you should keep it somewhere safe and when you start earning you should start accumulating more. Never give up your Bitcoin unless you have made something out of it.

This is the amount in my local currency i believe it will get me up to 90 dollars of bitcoin. I am waiting for my friend who will help me buy it by the weekend.

Thank you mom, Thank you dad. And thank you Bitcointalk.

It does not matter how much you are investing in your future. What matters is how can you secure your future, keep your Bitcoin in a safe wallet, and keep the wallet backup somewhere safe. You should be thankful to your family for giving you this opportunity, not everyone here is that lucky.

777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin community are in support of BRC20 on: December 15, 2023, 10:43:42 AM
Can you see the mempool? Very congested.

Who are the ones pumping SATS and RATS? I can see CATS on Polonix pumped 400% today. Probably they will bounce on it to pump it more.

You know the funniest thing? No presale, no social media, no advertisement for these tokens.

SATS pumped almost 10 times in 2 weeks. Having over $1.75 billion now in marketcap.
RATS almost pumped 30 times in 3 or 4 weeks
CATS pumped 4 times today.

Who are pumping them? I do not want to believe it is not bitcoin people.

Yes, it has been congested from the day ORDI got listed on Binance. Yesterday or day before they again listed 1000sats which resulted in a major congestion in the network again. Binance may list more of them in the future that is what causing the insane pump. If the congestion keeps on continuing in the same manner small investors won't be able to buy Bitcoin.
778  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: December 15, 2023, 10:15:33 AM

Do you often experience things like this?

This is the only game that, I enjoy playing at an online casino, you are not the only one who has gone through bad luck. I have been in the same situation as you but, for some reason or the other I have been only getting 1x or 2x while playing. It's kind of pretty annoying to see that some of you are getting big multipliers whereas as me still patiently waiting to experience or see a big one.

Some short questions about BC.

How fast are the withdrawals and at what point does it trigger KYC?

It all depends on the network you are using, last time I used their built-in swap to convert my coins to TRX. It went smoothly without any issue and the withdrawal was fast.
779  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: December 14, 2023, 07:56:47 AM

In this case it is not really server maintenance unless the web server had actually crashed. Because you can still update the site while the web server is running.

It's more likely that the web server is crashing, but whether this is due to high traffic I don't know. In fact I don't suspect that BPIP hardly gets any traffic since its not on Google.

Then what could be the issue? It was working earlier in the morning before I wrote the reply. Now it is still not up and I don't think they are closing it down. Only @OP can come and adress this issue of 503 error.

snip~~

I have not got the 502 error message. I am only getting a blank page with 503 error message on the top. I too hope the problem gets resolved at the earliest.
780  Local / India / Re: Oh digital rupee is already live!? on: December 14, 2023, 06:18:54 AM

This. If digital rupee is given right ui/ux, promoted right way. Given offers to use, which most of Indian population is mad after, I don't see reason why it wouldn't get popular.

We might see another global pandemic on its way from the same country where COVID-19 started. If that happens then the government won't be required to promote digital rupee as it will get the same response as UPI did in the past. The CBDC in China has less use locally but has a lot of use for international payments and big business transactions. I think the path forward for our CBDC will be the same or if UPI does not remain free then CBDC transactions will take a big leap in our economy for sure.
