Two quality stars have already departed from Liverpool, which can lead to a slightly poorer performance on the field. The two players who left the club too soon should be replaced by new players. Liverpool must think they can sign better players than left.
Klopp is really taking a risky move by selling their two veteran midfielders, it's similar like Chelsea. Although the performance of both Chelsea and Liverpool in club friendlies are good enough, but we don't know what will happen in the real match.

Chelsea and Liverpool lack of midfielders.
Manchester United lack of strikers.

I would say Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United are shining in this season.
I also think Klopp allowing two of his most experience midfielders the duo of Henderson and Fabinho to leave the club for Saudi Arabian clubs could backfire in the long run because relying on his two new signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai might not yield much impact, the other midfielders like Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita, Curtis Jones, Stefan Bajcetic don't really have much experience except Tiago who is injury prone, premier league is becoming very competitive and for Liverpool to remain consistent in clinching atleast a top 4 spot they needed some experienced players combined with the new signings to matchup with other top clubs in the league

Arsenal is exploring the possibility of signing another goal keeper in Brentford number one shot stopper David Raya who's contract will be expiring next year, and the player is not looking forward to staying at the club.He wants to play in a big team
Even if David Raya's dream is to play for a big club, he has to be careful with the move he makes, Arsenal are a big club, but they already have a number 1 goalkeeper in Aaron Ramsdale and i don't think Arteta is ready to drop him, thus even if David Raya moves to a big club like Arsenal, he is going to be a makeshift goalkeeper and would prolly only play in Carabao and Fa Cup games. I don't think that's what David Raya will want for his career now, he is a brilliant goalkeeper and if he isn't assured of a starting position in a team that wants to buy him, then i think he should be patient and remain in Brentford.
Matt Turner who had been Arsenal backup goalkeeper had not really tested action in most part of last season because Aaron Ramsdale is Arteta first choice goalkeeper thus sticked with him and I am very sure next season he will still man the post for Arsenal thus David Raya should not think of enjoying a regular playing time if he decided to join the club, though Nottingham Forest is considering a move to sign Matt Turner if the transfer is a done deal then David Raya should consider his Arsenal move, however he will still remain a backup goalkeeper who might be played in less competitive matches you mentioned, FA Cup, Carabao Cup except if Aaron Ramsdale suffer an injury.

ETH is so mad to the club right now after the club has been facing some losses in a row. The first loss was against wrexham, madrid and then dortmund. The funniest thing i have ever seen was during the match against dortmund. Meguire again and again become the main actor that was triggering so many people to create another meme about him again. Megurie was doing some blunders which are affecting the performance of MU against dortmund. I don't know the reason ten hag didn't let meguire to go to the aston villa.
It's a must for Maguire to play? I just don't understand why Ten Hag care to him, it's similar like Ten Hag want to give Ronaldo to play when they were in conflict. Ten Hag need to accept if Maguire isn't fit in Manchester United, just keep him in bench and let him enjoy his wage, if Manchester United don't want to spend any money to pay for him, the last option is loan or sell him.

It is very strange indeed, why players like Maguire continue to be defended because anyway, if there is a team that is interested in buying it, then just sell Maguire. After all, if Manchester United keep Maguire until his contract ends also in the end Manchester United will lose. Keeping him and giving Maguire to play, of course, there will be more blunders made. Also if Manchester United keep it, then in the end Maguire will have a free transfer status. So yes, do not understand why players like Maguire are still maintained by Manchester United, because of course it would be better to sell him in the transfer window like now.
I don't know why Man Utd refused to sell for $20m recently offered by West Ham, Maguire had continue with his calamitous mistakes during matches it was evident in Man Utd friendly match against Borussia Dortmund, there was an instance when he committed an error during the match Onana hurriedly ran on to him and shouted on him, I think this mistakes by him is bound to reoccur if he is in team, though I am convinced that Erik ten Hag will never include him in his first team squad, the best bet is to release him before the transfer window closes if West Ham brought a better offer.

Yes they have a lot of players and have also brought in some good names too. Imo Chelsea will make the UCL. I’m so sure of this but they won’t win the league. They don’t have European distractions. Pochettino have given them a sense of play and they’re bonding and finding the rhythm this preseason. They will make the CL, people are underestimating what being totally out of Europe brings in term of squad's fitness. It's three teams that one can boldly say are ahead of them.
The results of pre-season matches cannot be used as a benchmark, now the Chelsea squad is filled with new players and there is no evidence that they will be much better and consistent.
I admit that Pochettino is an experienced and good coach in the Premier League, but what you have to remember is that the light in the Premier League is very tight, there are several teams that will compete hard to get to the top of the standings, and if you look at the player material that Chelsea currently have this makes me a little pessimistic.
Honestly pre-season matches shouldn't be the yardstick to determine the formidability of Chelsea in the upcoming season, recall that in most of the pre-season matches many Chelsea substitutes were tested or played in which when the league matches starts properly only the main squad selected by Pochettino will enjoy a regular playing time and majority of Chelsea first team squad are new signings thus it might take the team some period of time before they will adapt to the league consequently the team might have some mix results some wins, draws and some losses thus Pochettino should be given enough time and Chelsea fans should also exercise patience before the team will begin to be stronger.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 30, 2023, 05:38:07 PM
Letting Harry Maguire go for only 20 million is certainly a big loss for the club. But I also do not believe that there are any other better options to be honest. Because even if they get another offer for him, I don’t think any club is going to offer more than 24/25 million for him.

It is actually not a bad decision to actually let him go for that amount or even to loan him out. First of all, he has high weekly wage and it looks like he is going to stay on the bench for most of the time next season so I dont see why should we keep him in the team only for him to be a bench warmer. Aside from that, everyone knows how bad he is therefore there is no reason to actually keep him in the team
The issue is not allowing Maguire to leave Man Utd for West Ham, but would he agree a pay-cut before agreeing a personal term with West Ham? Even if West Ham make an improve offer more than 20 million, because the club won't be able to pay as much as he earn in Man Utd with regards to his weekly wages, though a regular playing time will be guaranteed at West Ham which will help his career in England National team, though I agreed that 20 million is too small for a player of his calibre, however if West Ham increases their offer Man Utd should consider it because staying at Man Utd will limit his playing time, Varane, Martinez, Lindelof and Evans are favorites of Erik ten Hag in the central defence.

You could see that a striker has been one of Manchester United's top priorities this summer having strengthened in midfielder and goalkeeper after signing Mason Mount and Andre Onana respectively. I think with the frequent injuries struggles to Martial, Ten Hag has always wanted a new forward to bolster his attack and indicated this week that the club is close to securing one, and they have gotten a good striker that has high ceiling. I trust Ten Hag to bring out the monster in him and make him a proper striker.
A good striker is important for Manchester United but it is not their priority. They already have Rashford who scored many goals for them in the past season.

Hojlund has yet been verified enough at top level and spending $83M to buy him is ridiculous. I don't know how he will perform for Manchester United but from his past record and the transfer cost, it is not a wise transfer for Manchester United.

They should spend a few more money to buy a better striker like Osimhen who shown his ability in Champions League, not like Hojlund. Spending $83M like a gamble is very bad decision from Manchester United.
Honestly Osimen should have been a better option for Man Utd though Osimen might cost them more than $100M, however he is a profilic striker who had already proved his worth in Seria A and UCL respectively he will deliver for Man Utd better than Hojlund who joined Atalanta in August last year and had only 10 goals to his credit, can he cope with the standard of EPL? well time will tell, I hope his signing wouldn't be another waste of fund by the club for an untested striker probably Man Utd wanted another striker in shape of Halaand of Man City because of their height he is 6 ft 3 in while Halaand  is 6 ft 4 in.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: July 30, 2023, 09:09:14 AM
There's this scene I witnessed today at a local sport betting house  and I found it very funny and unbelievably true at same time. A certain young man after making his predictions placed his bet and his betting slip was printed to him then another gambler in the house approached him and asked to make a rebet of his games for himself but I was shocked when the young man refused with the excuse that he doesn't share his predictions that sharing it will make him lose his bet. More like having his luck to win reduce or changed maybe because the person he shared his games with could be someone with a bad luck on that day.

This is absolutely a weird behavior from the gambler this is most common among illiterate gamblers because as a learned person sharing one betting slip or code wouldn't have any effect on the outcome of the bet, however if that is gambler personal belief of course we have to respite his belief probably he had experienced bad luck whenever he is opportuned to share his betting slip.
Although I have heard of behaviors like this with some gamblers  but I never believe it not until I witnessed it myself today and it was weird to me imagining how you will get to lose your bet by allowing someone else rebet it. In all my years of gambling I believe that a game prediction that will play as predicted will definitely play not regarding the number of people that bet on same prediction.

So why this belief or do you think it could be true? Or is it one of those superstitious belief among gamblers?
Do you feel cool sharing your predictions with other people and how has the outcome been looking at all the times you have shared your predictions with others?
Personally I believe it's a superstition, though I have never witnessed such since I started my gambling journey, I was very well conversant with sharing of betting slip if betting with the same site or bookies, infact one of the ways of having edge in gambling is sharing of predictions with other gamblers this had help me alot because I my pick I do compare my bets with the shared ones,
769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: July 29, 2023, 06:54:39 PM
My advice - BE CAREFUL

Investment and trading books, articles and videos are made by people who might not actually be winning traders. They make their money by writing "investment materials" and sell it to us, the plebs.

Plus "as traders", most of you will lose money and leave. Some of you might return and lose more money. Some might have learned their lesson the hard way and just HODL Bitcoin. The few who actually put in the most time, effort and who are well-capitalized might make it.
I was once a believer of reading trading books to becoming successful in trading, I read so many forex trading books especially Al Brook, however most of those stuffs I read is in sharp contrast with reality of Price Action during live trades, I once incurred streaks of losses while trading a crypto/USDT pair while applying one of the trading strategy obtained by reading a book based on Elliot wave, I followed all the methods explained by the writer yet wasn't profitable, I also believe Hodling is the best for a newbie in crypto with a reasonable capital, though I had switched to forex trading which I learnt after I had thrown away many fancy indicators on my chart without any usefulness I now rely on RSI and Ema  indicators only with Price Action.

Manchester City have lost a very important player this summer to Saudi Arabian league. Riyad Mahrez is one key player for Guardiola’s side. Al-Ahli paid 30million for the player, which I think is a fair price for Riyad Mahrez at age 32. Manchester City can count this deal as a good deal for the club. This move is the perfect move for Mahrez because joining any other team in the EPL or other leagues will not be as profitable as how much he will be earning at Saudi Arabia.
Trust Guordiola a perfect replacement is available to replace Riyad Mahrez and no player is above the club there is always an alternative if the club is managed by an experience manager, honestly £30million paid by Al-Ahly is a very good deal for Man City for a player who already in his peak, Riyad Mahrez had already won all the major trophies with his former club and it's time to go earn some extra wages in Saudi league a new destination for aging European based players who made a switch to facilitate their retirement, I think players  above 32 years like Riyad Mahrez should utilize the new opportunity offered by Saudi Arabian clubs.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Days you need to work your ass at minimum wage for a BTC, by country on: July 29, 2023, 12:49:47 PM
The data for Nigeria should be much higher than is quoted there, which may be same for other countries as well.

In Nigeria the minimum wage is N30,000 which is equivalent to just over $38, making the daily minimum wage $1.28.
When you calculate that to the price of Bitcoin now one will need to work for 24,474 days with no leave or off days. This is over double the days you quoted in the opening message.

That's 64 years, when you factor in the increasing price of Bitcoin over time and the inflationary rate of fiat currencies, then the number might double or even triple.
In Nigeria it could be more than 64 years because if you capture the data of minimum wages of some private sector employees especially private school teachers and factory workers one of the largest sector that has a good numbers of employees you will discovered that they earned less than the minimum wage which is N15,000 to N20,000 approximately $19 to $25, base on stompix analysis it will take more than 64 years to earn a Bitcoin probably around 77 years or more to reaffirm and validate @Upgrade00 analysis which is absolutely on point, thus it shows how economy of different countries differed in terms of opportunities and their economic policies, the developed countries fair better than the developing ones.

Manchester United have reportedly turned down an offer from West Ham of £20 million for Harry Kane. For Manchester United, Harry Maguire may not be an option for the main squad anymore but they clearly want more money than that. We know that since being brought in from Leicester a few years ago at a cost of 87 million euros, Manchester United don't want to lose by selling Harry Maguire at that price, especially if you see West Ham making a lot of money after selling Declan Rice, they clearly want more than £20 million.

I think this situation is quite confusing and in my opinion, even if Harry Maguire stays at Manchester United, of course it will only have a bad impact on the squad, but on the other hand, even if he has to leave, Manchester United has set a fairly high price for Harry Maguire. Of course, any team will consider the offer if the £20 million fee is still rejected by Manchester United.
Maguire was signed by Man Utd in a deal worth £80 million in fact a world record for a defender in 2019, however £20m offered by West Ham is far too small compared to what they paid for him, West Ham should improve their offer afterall they made more than £100m from the sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal and in a bid to strengthen their squad, they needed experience defender like Maguire to form a formidable and strong defence line, meanwhile Maguire needed a regular playing time to be relevant in the England national team, however he had already been shut out of Man Utd first team due to the formidable partnership of the due of Varane and Martinez.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 28, 2023, 01:49:44 PM
Al-Ahli a Saudi Arabian club had completed the signing of Riyad Mahrez in a deal worth £30m for the 32 year old player who had spent 5 seasons with Man City and won 10 trophies for the club having a brilliant career in EPL first with Leceister City before joining Man City and he is always a good substitute for the club,  I think £30m is a very good deal for Man City considering the age of Mahrez probably that is why he opted to sign for the Arabian club to earn a lucrative weekly wages offered by the oil rich clubs just like the other former European based players who joined the Arab clubs as a retirement base to play in their league as well as to earn massive wages.

If he said Kyle Walker is an irreplaceable player this means he won't allow Walker to leave Manchester City for Bayern Munich or any other team even if they sell this player finding another good player to fill his place can't be easy.

Kyle Walker is one of Manchester City's best defenders, so if Manchester City leaves him at the moment, it will be very difficult for Manchester City to find a defender like him. Kyle Walker wants to play for Manchester City if Manchester City keep him in the regular XI. I have learned from several media that Guardiwala will not consider him in the regular XI if Manchester City keep him at the club. I think his performance is still needed by Manchester so he can still be included in the regular XI. Although he missed the end of the last season due to injury, he kept the team's defense strong from the start.
Kyle Walker is a very strong and pacy defender who had performed brilliantly well for Man City, however Guordiola had devised and deployed a tactical change or style of play to the team which Guordiola believes Kyle Walker can't fit to or play with the system, I think this is one of the main reason for his purported transfer to Bayern Munich, the new tactical system involves movement of the two full backs (both Left and Right full backs) to the midfield, just like what Zinchenko had been playing for Arsenal, John Stones instead had taken over Kyle Walker position in the squad having performed brilliantly well on that role, of course trust Guordiola he must gotten a new replacement for him should his transfer becomes a done deal.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 27, 2023, 06:22:27 PM
Nigeria needs a win or at least a draw so that there is still a chance to qualify from the group phase because losing to Australia means they are eliminated because in the third match, Canada only needs a draw against Australia. However, winning the match against Australia is not an easy job for Nigeria because the team they are facing is one of the strongest in the group and is also quite the favorite to win the World Cup this time because the host factor will give them an advantage because it is fully supported by the spectators who attend the stadium.
Australia dominated the game when it just started, but the Super Falcons grew into the game and found themselves. They play well and made many interceptions that put pressure on the Australians. The Australians were able to catch the super falcons in a moment, and scored a goal that looked like they were going to be able to secure into the halftime, but the super falcons increased their pressure and were able to force a goal back to get the game to 1-1 before the halftime. The Australian team must really miss the presence of Samantha Kerr.
Till 45 minutes both teams played hard with no goals for or against anyone but when half time came to extra time both teams panicked and in 4 minute difference  both teams scored 1/1 and now the scores are level. Australia and Nigeria women's teams look equally strong  So no party can be neglected.  So it is very difficult to make preqdictions for this match. However, the Australian women's team is trying hard to play well, so they seem to have some potential in this match. Half time in the game is over. let's see which team can change their fortune and win the match in 2nd half
No you are wrong because Australia tried to play well but the Nigerian women's team also had more technical knowledge and they beat Australia by 3-2. Australia could only capitalize on the tense moments but Nigeria women's team played technically and they scored 3 very nice goals.  But Australia scored a goal in extra time after half time and another goal in extra 10 minutes at the end of the game but it didn't make much difference.  They had to lose the match against Nigeria
It's indeed a upset for the Australian women team who is ranked 10th in FIFA ranking got defeated by a well determined Nigerian side ranked 40th, the Australian took most of the possessions and shot on target, infact the Nigerian women couldn't register any shot on goal in the first 40 minutes of first half yet they surmount every challenges and secure a win thus secured a 3 maximum points to lead their group, the co-host women will have an uphill task in defeating the Canadian side in their last group match to stand a chance of qualifying for the round of 16, while the Nigerian should have an easy match against winless Republic of Ireland who is yet to secure a point.

Real Madrid 2 vs 0 Manchester United

Not really impressive performance from Premier League teams pre season match, although as friendly match but Manchester United still under level from Real Madrid due both teams played with main composition in the first minutes. Eric Tan Hag must find with new striker because against bigger teams difficult for scoring goals depend on last several pre season matches before Manchester United won from Leeds United and Wrexham.

Eric Tan Hag have tries with several formation if not get possibility for signing new striker, have few pre season matches left and United must effective if want secure top fourth position standings and get chance winning Premier League tittles after missing for long time and last winning Premier League tittles on season 2012/13.
Manchester United's attack is not too bad, and as we know Real Madrid's game because the more pressure is created from the opponent's attack, the easier it is for Real Madrid to steal goals through counterattacks, this is what Erik ten Hag must know and learn, especially when against Real Madrid.
and both teams played the majority of their starting line-up in this match including new Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, but in the early minutes of the match Andre Onana was immediately conceded 1-0 by Jude Bellingham in the 6th minute.
And Erik ten Hag has to do something good for his team, especially when they play against big teams.
Joselu acrobatic kick for Real Madrid second goal was absolutely fantastic and Andre Onana was caught helpless, however it was a keenly contested match and very entertaining and competitive as well Real Madrid took their chances and scored with Bellingham and Joselu on the score sheet while Man Utd missed their own chances mostly from Mount, Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Alejandro Garnacho who could have the change the game had they scored their own goal, meanwhile Bellingham once again showed his class in the midfield of Real Madrid with some brilliant passes to his credit.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 27, 2023, 07:01:46 AM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling.
I agree with this assertion because in my country I discovered that majority of the gamblers do so to source for extra income to cater for there financial needs, infact there are some gamblers who rely solely on income from gambling due to joblessness, I see no reason why a well to do individual who has sufficient need will embark on gambling except if it is for fun.
He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?
Absolutely the numbers of lower and middle class individuals involved in gambling is far more than the rich because a lot of them in there bid to source for alternative means of income or earning resorted to gambling, though some rich class might also involve in gambling but I think they do so once in a while by a wagering with a huge sum of money .

Marco Verratti is also leaving for the Saudi team Al-Hilal now. He has actually been an important part of PSG until now. I wasn't expecting him to leave so soon. He isn't even near the end of his contract now as he has still 3 more years. But it looks like they have offered PSG and especially Verratti a really great offer that is hard to reject.

Saudi teams continue to make big transfers. It is like they still have an unlimited amount of money. There is still a long time to the end of the transfer window. We have barely got past the first half of the summer. The biggest transfer will be Mbappe's going there if it really happens.

But for now there is still no green light by Mbappe.
I don't know the motive behind those Saudi clubs who had been offering mouthwatering contract to lure Europe based players, with Marco Verratti being the latest likely player to switch over to Al-Hilal from PSG it becoming obvious that the juicy contract offered by those Saudi Arabian clubs had enticed majority of those European players, though Marco Verratti is 30 and had spent most of his career at PSG a move to Al-Hilal isn't a bad move, if he eventually signed by the club he will join two other new signings Ruben Neves and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic by forming a formidable midfield for the club.
780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 26, 2023, 01:04:07 PM

My question is this, if you were given 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again for the rest of your life, will you take it? Considering that first you will already be rich or the prospect of getting rich is high from it. And also if you play your cards right by investing the 5 Bitcoin properly, it could also mean generational wealth. Or will you say that 5 Bitcoins can't match the thrill and pleasure that comes from gambling, be it at a physical casino or an online casino.
A whooping 5 Bitcoin to quit gambling? Definitely I will quit gambling for the rest of my life, infact I will be relieved from doing analysis from one site to another before placing my bet during this period I will have opportunity of relaxing and watching my TV, 5 Bitcoin is a huge capital if invested well it will amount to huge amount of profit in the long run which outweighs whatever amount of money I will earned from gambling including the risk involved, better still I might hodl the 5 Bitcoin in hardware wallet hopefully when the price of Bitcoin hits ATH a massive profit is guaranteed, I am very sure majority of members here will accept this offer.
