You'll want to check for Carbon Monoxide not Carbon Dioxide.

Also this exists already.

I was only off by one mole.  Grin

That's the guy! It was his brother, Steve, that I met.

7762  Other / Off-topic / Re: Petition to get BF Labs Inc. to sue me. Please sign. on: July 23, 2013, 06:49:58 PM
I'm clearly missing something here... Does anyone care to explain?

Here's it in a nutshell: I have given BFL every reason in the world to sue my ass. They have threaten to sue other bitcoiners for the same exact thing of which I'm trying to get sue for. If they do not sue me, then all their threats are just that--threats.

Therefore, the other bitcoiners can now move forward with their intended ligation without being concern about being sued for defamation or libel since a judge would now throw out any such attempts due to their inactions toward me.

10 days was plenty of time for their lawyers to throw together a suit toward me, hence now being able to express why I did what I attempted to do with this thread. Any papers served to me after this date would be seen as an attempt to cover their asses since I have laid my cards on the table.

In closing. BF Labs Inc. is nothing but a bunch of crooks of which will soon close up shop and its owners, namely Sonny Vleisides, will leave the country, taking with them millions of dollars.

To this day, Sonny Vleisides is promoting lottery schemes on his webspawner.com site, just like he did back in 1995 when he fired it up from Costa Rica, claiming to be in Missouri at the time.

Sonny Vleisides even ripped off sports betters via various sites long after Laissez Faire City was dissolved, of which millions are still owed to investors.

so, who is launching bertcoin now? Cheesy

Sonny can't wait to start ripping off cartoon characters. Little does he know that Elmer Fudd open-carries.
7764  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs shipping 300 units a day on: July 23, 2013, 05:33:24 PM
Lets say BFL can ship 300 units per day. For the sake of argument, lets say those units are little singles.
300 x 30GH/s = 9000 GH/s per day shipped.
That means in the last 10 working days, BFL claims to have shipped 90 TH/s.
I see Avalon's batch 2 arriving and the ASICMiner increase in hash rate. I don't see the extra 90TH/s BFL claims to have shipped.

Of course, if any of those units were full sized singles or mini-rigs, there would be even more hash rate.
Clearly, they are not assembling 300 singles per day.

Fuck that! What about 300 units a day for the past month and they are all Jellys?

300 X 30 = 9,000 X 4.5 = 40,500

That equates to 405 TH/s shipped.

And we know Goddamn well that they ordered units themselves to be hosted at the Josh's and Joe's data centers under the guise of foreign miners not wanting to pay the shipping fees or the hassle, both of which is a mute issue since these people don't really exist.

Fuck, they probably placed names in the queue for those mega-miners for the purpose of not only mining with them, but to sell them on the open market, i.e. eBay.

Hi we are new members and are a UK registered charity called Virtual Development UK. We use the internet to help save lives in rural Africa and have been recommended to investigate the opportunity of receiving donations in bitcoin. We are keen to post in the forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52543.1400 so we can have a discussion about accepting donations in bitcoin and setting up our site to receive them. Can we perhaps be upgraded to junior members?

Thanks!

Would the mod(s) be so kind as to Whitelist this account? It's Bitcoin 100 related.

Thanks in advance.

~Bruno K~

EDIT: tysat just PM and it has been taken care of.

Paul Mustardé is a director of Virtual Development, a Community Interest Company based in the UK. Virtual Development runs the Virtual Doctor Project, an innovative new venture that aims to utilize modern technology that can cope with challenging environments, to make it possible to offer doctor-supported primary healthcare to remote, under-served areas of Zambia and eventually other parts of Africa. The project will use email communication via satellite, between mobile telemedicine clinics on the ground and doctors based remotely. This system will allow these virtual doctors to offer on-going diagnostic assistance to clinic staff, who will travel between a number of local sites in four-wheel drive vehicles specifically equipped for the purpose, setting up temporary clinics for several days at a time. paul@virtualdoctors.org

@Rassah ~ Follow the link above and see if you see what I see. I'm sure a slew of potential NPOs can be approached from that list. If that's the case, and more funds are given away, then that it'll less for me to steal from Bitcoin 100 according to Josh.  Roll Eyes

Virtual Development seems to be a fine candidate. We look forward to its representative getting outta Newbie. I'm going to blast a PM to accelerate the process.

Edit: I just sent a PM to tysat. If any other mods are reading this and can take care of it, it'll be appreciated.

Thanks, in advance.

EDIT: tysat just PM me, and it's been taken care of. Thank you, again, for whoever did it.

A charity that works at the University incubation center with my company is thinking about taking donations in Bitcoin. I've been giving them some advice and pointed them at this thread which I've only just discovered myself.

They have just made a white list request in the Newbies forum and hopefully should post here shortly.

Their charity can be found at virtualdoctors.org.

GoDaddy and Wayback look fine, albeit a tad indexing issue with archive.org. I'm checking on a couple other things, but overall looks pretty good.

If anybody, whether a Bitcoin 100 member or not, has any reservations about this organization, feel free to express your concerns.

For the record, my three claims are still pending, I assume.

Quote
Singles from pay date June 23, 2012 shipped. We are nearing the end of June 23 orders for Singles. We may finish them in a day or two.

1 or 2 days turns in to 13+ days.

Where are you looking they started working on June 23rd orders on May 20th
Here is the Blog entry:
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/bfl_jody/164-monday-5-20-shipping-update.html

Its been 2 months today!

And this is only one reason why I claim BFL is nothing but a bunch of lying, thieving pricks with Sonny Vleisides at the helm.

If the above statement is false, today is the end of the 10 day period which I requested BFL to sue my ass. I expect to be served today.

Let me get this straight: BFL will take the time to notify 60K+ orders the status of the production stage, but have discontinued their live pick-up option that wasn't even in place by a small handful of people desiring to do such. Also, they would take the time to photograph a unit for an eBayer prior to having it picked up by the hosting company, but once sold on eBay, the unit is returned to the BFL's facility so that the eBayer who bought it can pick it up.

If that's the case, then them bastards should all be shot with a load of cum.

Now, shall we speculate that the price of bitcoin will go up after Dilber-strip media exposure?

Fuck that! I'm converting to BertCoin.

So what if it just experienced its first hack.

There's a Bitcoin app available that should add BertCoin as another novelty exchange option. The one I'm thinkin' of is the one with the Pizza exchange rate on it.

Somebody help me out here and link that thread. Would hunt it myself but in a bit of hurry this morning.

7776  Other / Off-topic / I met a man today seeking $5M in VC for an invention. on: July 23, 2013, 04:19:04 AM
This guy stopped by today to purchase some barn wood from me. After completing the sale, we rapped for a while. He told me his brother patented an invention and was about to secure $5M in VC.

The invention is a device to automatically open a/the garage door when the CO2 reaches a certain level. The door(s) can not be closed unless the CO2 level is safe/normal. Why the fuck didn't any of us think of that?

I asked him the price point of said device, whereupon he informed me it'll be in the $30-$50 range. The prototype set him back $180.

Totally fuckin' amazing!

Then we spoke about Bitcoin. The last time I turned somebody onto Bitcoin, he put $10K(?) into Bitcoinica. He's still waiting for his money of which is tied up in Mt Gox. Hopefully, this guy doesn't stumbled upon BitFloor III.
