i think everyone is forgetting the big news that happened in april that caused the big $$ of bitcoin..

april was the month of

FOODLER

12k restaurants/fast food places accepting bitcoin, the biggest single mainstreaming achievement of bitcoin, all in one day.. and as the name of the site suggests it sells FOOD.

next thing is to help the canadians, british, and europeans.. by getting Just-eat.com to accept bitcoins. then the world can survive on food via bitcoins. (although just-eat is more of just evening fastfood/junk food type of places)

anyone suggest any fresh food/salad delivery services/ coffee services that have online payment/ordering options. please push them to accept bitcoin.

food
home hygiene
household bills

are the 3 main things that will make bitcoin an everyday use currency, and not a specialist item currency

Talk about value! Foodler is using Mt Gox's exchange rate: https://www.foodler.com/user/Bitcoin.do;jsessionid=7A9F31896EA27FDAA82D8732D3BD86C8

What other forums do you frequent? Care to share?

I go to a flashlight forum sometimes and a cell phone forum.

Care to shed a little light on the subject as to what a flashlight forum would consist of?

Every single one of my emails on all my accounts now read, "There appears to be a problem loading the email..."

According to the what I've read on the internet, Yahoo is looking into it but can't seem to locate the problem.

6788  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 03, 2013, 02:12:54 AM
what kind of person spends virtually all their money on anything?  99 times out of 100 the answer is homeless.  This person has to have 1) internet access 2) a computer 3) a place to plug both computer and miner in.  They don't sounds homeless... so...

1) Teens and people in their early 20's.
2) People who haven't learned how to budget.

I bet there's a whole lot of people out there who blow all of their money on single purchases.  Not everyone is an adult with solid understanding of finances and budgeting.

I've been witnessing this phenomenon for years. First, at the casinos, where folks on food stamps sell them for 70-80% on the dollar, to stick all the money in the slot machine trying to hit the big one. Now, I witness it first-hand at the convenience stores where they purchase a slew of instant lottery tickets and take a seat to scratch them off. Any winners, they trade them in more cards until there'll broke. In Sandwich, there are two business that have them new online lottery slot machines in place, and both have their six machines tied up all day till closing, with customers bitching at one another wanting them to get off so they can play, all within earshot of the customers that don't play the machines.

My two nephews, along with their Goth cronies, spend every penny they make on drugs, cigarettes, fast food, and gas for the car, enabling them to cruise at night to amass more stuff to be converted to cash so that they can start the entire process over again. They lie about why they're in dire straits so that they have a place to crash and shower and rip off even those who gave them that helping hand.

I would be more concerned about the 14 day countdown until Sonny's parole ends.

I'll have the pleasure of meeting him on the 10th.

Raspberry.

Do tell

I will be visiting Camp BFL on the 10th of September thanks to Josh's invite.

I would like to witness this.

Be safe, #deadofnightbarnwoodthief.

6792  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: To all BFL Customers on: September 03, 2013, 01:16:24 AM
Let me cut the end for you...

Yifu took in millions in seed (pre-order) money and built a bunch of "Avalon 1's" which he sold for extraordinary amounts of money.

He kept a few of these machines and mined with them and sent a few out.  Then he ordered more chips.

At this time he also sold 1/2 million chips to DIY'ers in this forum, pre-paid of course.
People like BKKcoins (and others) believed in him and they took time to DEISGN & BUILD PCB boards to mount on these chips.  BKKcoins personally spent hundreds of hours working out the kinks in his AWESOME design.

YiFu then sent out the machines he'd mined with as "Avalon batch 2".  Some had dust in them demonstrating they'd been used for mining.

Then YiFu disappeared.  Went AWOL.  Nobody could reach him.

Then a rumor appeared in the Wall Street Journal that said "Yifu raised $200,000,000 in VC money".

The next day a retraction appeared "Yifu did not raise $200,000,000 in VC money" read all the papers.

Then, after another month went by, he reappeared and promised news as he'd just gotten off the plane.

Then, yesterday after another full 19 days of silence, he reappeared in the forums talking about his CHI and he started issuing refunds to all the people who had ordered the chips and machines who had not recieved them.

In short, he used your money... made money on that money... and then returned a portion of what he earned to the loudest customers he'd stolen from.

YiFu is now + $20 million USD
Community is now - $15,000,000 USD plus a broken dream.

What a con man.  My hat's off to you YiFu you really taught us a lesson!

I'm highly disappointed to not see a relic collector mentioned in the mix, unless the end users of any further products shipped are the relic collectors, then I'll stand corrected.

Did I mention Jason Shore is a piece of shit?
6795  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: anyone know the actual physical address of coinabul so i can serve lawsuit? on: September 02, 2013, 08:34:35 PM
I placed an order with them in january and received nothing to date.

Please contact us IMMEDIATELY with your order information via contact[at]coinabul.com! The oldest orders on our books(due to PO boxes, invalid addresses, etc) are many months newer than that so your order has definitely been shipped. We need to complete an insurance claim immediately for your order, as it should have arrived long ago.

You mentioned that you've tried to reach us before about this package, if you can include any previous email correspondence so we can further trace where the communication breakdown happened internally within our customer support team that would be highly appreciated. Please also make sure you include your order number, and any tracking information you have received in your email.

Thank you, and please don't hesitate to email us with further questions about the process of filing an insurance claim for your lost shipment. My sincerest apologies, but unfortunately parcels do become lost in transit occasionally despite close integration with customs structures around the world.

Lookey here! The piece of shit Jay Shore is back. That only means one thing--the exchange rate is rising. Yep! I just checked, and sure enough it is. Now that summer's about over, Jay must have envisioned a new scheme while enjoying the money he stole from his previous clients while on some fishing excursion. I'm sure he has some clever name for it like when he came up with QuickBitcoins and Ziggap and, for the all important added touch, it will be registered in Wyoming, Connecticut or Delaware.

BTW, explain to us how that insurance claim may proceed. If memory serves me, there's a thread were you go into great deal on this very subject but, at the end of the day, your customers were fucked.

Bottom line, you're one piece of shit Jay Shore, and I have reason to believe that that's probably not your real name. The following is mind.

Jay Shore has a physical address somewhere around San Diego. I don't recall the city name anymore, but the only clue he'd left was a PO box that is likely disassociated with him. As someone posted, you can get the CA license plate number from the video. Jay was seen at the Bitcoin2013 conference giving a talk something about offshore hiding places, so expect that he is proud of his ability to elude you. He warned me about the quality of the law firm he has on call. The Wyoming address you'll find has thousands of businesses registered there, it is meant to shield him.

My experience with him was that he first stole about 90 bitcoins from me and after months he finally refunded all but about 15 BTC. I spoke with him a few times on the phone (he seemed to want to avoid having an email record). The numbers he called from were 949-951-3023 and 760-282-4529. Those numbers may no longer be his, so be polite until you can confirm. He'll stop taking your calls once he recognizes your number, so be prepared to just deliver a simple and polite message that will keep him wondering when justice will find him. You might have a lawyer make that call.

Jay is a slimy thief. Avoid doing business with Coinabul. If you are lucky then you'll get your coins within a month or two of ordering. It was about four months before I received some of the coins that I ordered, and by that time I was seeking to bring federal charges. He satisfied the obligation enough to limit my legal options. You can still get him on racketeering charges since he has done this to so many people. In my case he was taking currency conversion chances with the payment and it took him a while to make up his losses enough to refund most. I doubt his books would balance. He had wanted me to settle for half my money just a few weeks after my order, and fighting for more was difficult. He knows how much you'd have to spend on lawyers to pursue him and that he could pay just enough in the last moment to make you go way. The funny thing was that Jay acted like he was doing a favor by giving any money back, because the "terms of service" basically say that your only option is to bend over.

Since then I've purchased metals from Amagimetals.com and have never had a problem.

Now, who was that guy that first mentioned the Thomes Ave., Wyoming, address? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48022.0

Interesting! There's a post missing/deleted in that thread.

I suspect local law enforcement might not accept "cheeky tail friskiness" as a legal defense in a sexual harassment case quite yet.
Am I the only one here appalled by this double standard? When I accidentally brush my tail against somebody's thigh, that's "sexual harassment", even though it's their own fault for standing that close to me in the first place (doesn't anybody respect personal space these days?), but when I complain about people stroking my tail without my permission, nobody takes me seriously. Angry

I could envision this as a pub game on a busy night. Imagine most the patrons donning tails. The tails have a built-in sensor of some type that somehow registers a score, with points obtained each time your tail rests on another tail. It doesn't matter what the sex is, but that too can be programmed in: a guy could have a female tail, and vice versa. In the crowd, there would be someone donning a bonus tail, unbeknown to anybody, and one person wearing a tail that takes points away. At the end of the day, the winner is the one with the most points and wins a prize. Bottom line, everybody at the bar gets a little tail.

I've never stated anything ill about Josh's girlfriend/lady friend/wife, nor do I even know her name. But if you're talking about his poodle, I may have said one or two things. <takes another sip of the raspberry Kool Aid--so refreshing!>
