781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 02, 2023, 06:17:36 PM
I agree with the research stated in the article, moreover I myself have experienced this when I play gambling, especially slot gambling, I really like the animation and also the adrenaline that comes out or appears when I play slots but I can still control myself, when I feel , I am not lucky in a few rounds so I will change the game I play, I will not stop until I run out of capital, gambling will not be bad if we only use it as a means of relieving stress or entertainment because when you want to get rich quickly from gambling then I hope you prepare yourself to end up disappointed.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 02, 2023, 05:51:48 PM
...
Right now Barcelona is 4 points behind Real Madrid and Girona, but there are many people who believe that Barcelona can close the point gap when the team above them slips. I don't know which team can beat the current leaders besides Atletico Madrid, but Real Madrid cannot underestimate Rayo Vallecano in the next match.
Yes, I agree with you. Real Madrid position is still not safe, the points gap is really close. Even, Barcelona might be able to return to consistency because currently Lewandoski is available, only De Jong their main player is still not available. Also, there are still many matches ahead, there are still opportunities for Atletico and Barcelona. Real Madrid must be to keep work hard until the end if they want to secure the title, but their journey will be very difficult if they not recruit a good striker in the winter transfer window.

Currently, Madrid is willing to have a very good midfielder like Bellingham, who is able to be a good striker and defender, even during the last El Clasico, he managed to score 2 goals, that's truly extraordinary. Barcelona's current problem is only their midfield, well you could say that because De Jong is injured, Barcelona's midfield is really bad, Xavi must be able to think of other good strategies to improve Barcelona's midfield until De Jong recovers completely. There was another fatal mistake that I noticed Xavi made during the last El Clasico match, he didn't play Lewandowski from the first minute.
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Positive thoughts and attitude towards Bitcoin. on: November 01, 2023, 10:05:14 PM
From the time I studied in class eight, I used to take money from my father, uncle, elder brothers on the occasion of religious festivals. After few years I kept saving money and with the saved money I started a quail and pigeon farm. After two years of service I got a fairly good benefit from them. One day I got to know about Bitcoin by meeting an elder brother while visiting a place. After learning about Bitcoin, my curiosity increased and gradually I tried to learn more about Bitcoin and became attracted to Bitcoin. A few months ago when the bitcoin market was 17 thousand USD I invested 80% of the dividend in the bitcoin market and I still hold it. When I do any work, I trust the right thinking and decision of my own morale towards that work. I think Bitcoin will be more valuable in the next few years and maybe it will reverse but I have confidence I hold it. When investing in something there is always risk involved. I think risk is the possibility of gaining or losing something valuable.

An investor becomes very successful not because of how much capital they have but how much confidence they have in the investment assets they buy, and in this case you are very confident in Bitcoin, well in the past few decades, Bitcoin continues to be a hot topic of conversation throughout the world, its price volatility always attracts the attention of many people, currently the price has passed $30 and it is predicted that by the end of this year the price of bitcoin will pass $40k, I am sure that those who are increasingly successful are investors who have great confidence in bitcoin and @OP, you will be one of them.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: November 01, 2023, 09:41:17 PM
Yes, Gambling addiction has strained a lot of relationships through financial instabilities emotional turmoil, social isolation, and family problems. Gambling which was meant to be a popular kind of entertainment for many and was designed to provide a temporary escape from everyday life and also help one to be more observant mentally task your brain and it is also good for your mental brain. When it becomes an addiction it causes financial strain the strain can manifest in various ways including the loss of shared savings, debt accumulation, and financial secrecy which may lead to strained communication between partners. This communication breakdown can prevent couples, friends, and associates from working together.

being a gambling addict will never be able to provide benefits for an individual, in fact you will only suffer losses. there are many couples who end up separating because one of their partners decides to choose to be a heavy gambler rather than looking after their family. Gambling addicts will always have the intention to lie, they will always do it in order to fulfill their desire to continue gambling, there are even many husbands who in the end do not give money to their wives because they prefer to gamble. Always make gambling just for entertainment, nothing more, don't get caught up in your thoughts which are misleading because of gambling.
785  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Using a Credit Card Demonstrate Financial Literacy? on: November 01, 2023, 08:16:49 PM
...

Individuals who avoid using credit cards tend to have a higher probability of being debt-free, showcasing financial discipline, and experiencing greater satisfaction compared to those reliant on credit cards. What are your thoughts on this stance?

In general, I don't agree with this because I have an older cousin who has actively used a credit card for almost 10 years, he has a stable job and the monthly salary he receives is deducted by credit card payments every month, because he actively uses a credit card, he get a gift from the bank that provides the credit card he uses.

whether you are a credit card user or not a credit card user, if you are able to manage your debts - investments - savings wisely then you already have high financial literacy.
Yuk shering pendapat agan-agan semuanya

787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 01, 2023, 07:25:30 PM
I saw this image below on one of my friend's WhatsApp statuses earlier today. I don't know if the game was played by him or if it was an image saved from somewhere, but the image got me thinking, and we got into a debate because of that.

I was telling someone that if I'm the one to have such a slip and the game is already showing me to cash out such an amount of money, which is equal to $865 based on our local exchange rate, seeing such an amount as cash out available and leaving it will make me appear like someone who is too greedy, but the guy was telling me it's not being greedy but it's all about taking risks. The debate didn't end well, so I decided to bring this up here to see the responses from experienced gamblers.

Lucky for anyone who ever has that bet slip, it seems like the game played in his favour.
...

how can you suggest something like this to your friend who is someone who likes gambling, they won't listen to what you say, besides I'm sure he is able to make a profit in every gambling activity he does, he knows what he is doing when he gambles, so when you suggest he withdraw all his winnings and stop it is an insult he feels. If I were you, then I would just congratulate that friend and maybe even ask him for some advice that I can try when betting.
788  Economy / Economics / Re: Biting more than i can chew. How can i do better? on: November 01, 2023, 06:24:14 PM
...

The main reason I'm sharing this topic is to get your own opinions and advice so that I can do better. I believe it's because of poor financial management that I've fallen to this level. I've been doing things that I now realize were not the right things to do because I don't have any financial stability. Last week, I felt ashamed when people see how frustrated i am because I had bitten off more than I could chew. I'm open to opinions and helpful insights to start again, but this time in a more stable and responsible manner.

I'm sorry for the difficulties you are currently experiencing, I know it wasn't easy for you to get through it this far, from now on you must be able to only focus on yourself, never again want to be someone who wants to make other people happy, I've also experienced times like this when I was very young, my friends were close to me when I had money but when I had little money, they slowly left me, it was quite hard, but it's something that can't be helped. Avoid it, people only respect your money, not you in general. I don't have any other excessive advice, I just hope that when your finances start to improve, don't repeat the things you did in the past.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 01, 2023, 06:08:47 PM
I’m a new member here, and I want to gamble on online casinos. I found some good trusted casinos. And I want to begin with a game with a low budget. First, I need your suggestions about the best games, slots. Live casino for a beginner.
Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.

If you are not sure that you will be able to manage your greed in gambling then I suggest that you never try gambling, gambling is not an easy thing to control if you really want money or use money and hope to win the jackpot as a reason to gamble. However, if you really have a strong intention to become a gambler, you must be able to gamble with full responsibility, don't let yourself become a gambling addict because of excessive curiosity and excessive greed.

My advice is that if you want to gamble, choose a type of game that you are good at, such as lottery or sports betting and for online casino gambling sites, only those that have an ann thread on this forum.

791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: October 31, 2023, 09:47:08 PM
I see a lot of people here talking about gambling responsibly. Yes, that is something very true, but have you ever been a gambling addict?

To be honest in the past I have spent a lot of money gambling. What I mean here is that I spent all my savings on gambling. Maybe the nominal amount is not that big but it makes me feel like a gambling addict. I spent 5 months of my savings on gambling. Currently I am aware and am in the stage of improving my own financial condition. Have you ever felt like a gambling addict? and how much did you lose in gambling?

Luckily I have never been a gambling addict, I can be said to be a new person in gambling, I got to know gambling when I got to know crypto because I used to like depositing dogecoin which I got on the faucet to play on crypto casino site (The first crypto gambling site I tried was Bitvest)

There is a neighbor of mine who became a gambling addict, he even divorced his partner, he also lost his job, becoming a gambling addict is a nightmare that is difficult for everyone to imagine (don't let that happen to me).
792  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we rely on prediction? on: October 31, 2023, 09:28:01 PM
Let me say since the beginning of this year we have been getting different prediction on Bitcoin prizes and investors too have been keeping their hopes very high on those predictions...

Those doing these predictions are having so much expectations and they said, Bitcoin will recover to $25k in 2024 and then rise to $45k in 2025 them by 2030 Bitcoin will get to $69k. Other crypto analysts suggest even higher price targets ranging from $100,000 to $1 million, but we should keep in mind that all Bitcoin forecasts are predictions. CLICK HERE

With all these being said I feel is time we face the reality that all these are just predictions, is under probability.

Predictions are needed to increase market demand or generate market sentiment, just imagine without predictions it would be impossible for Bitcoin to attract the attention of many people, and usually, those who make these predictions are influential people, there are many cryptocurrencies that have never been looked at by predictors, and look at what happens to their assets, of course there is no price, right? So just make the predictions that appear on the market are just a popularity boost, but remember, never underestimate a Bitcoin prediction, usually, it will become a reality.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 31, 2023, 08:38:55 PM
As the gambling industry is evolving, I think innovations would have kicked in that can make someone create a career from gambling. I do not know how this can be achieved but I feel it is possible.

Making gambling a full time job might be seen as risky but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.

What do you all think?

The risk is very big if we want to make gambling our full time job, however gambling will not be able to provide us with a stable income, gambling must be used as a means of entertainment or a hobby, if it is more than that then you will not get any certainty. Until now I have never met anyone who makes gambling their main job, another very important thing if we make gambling our main job is the possibility that we will become gambling addicts.
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Simple Reason Why Bitcoin is not Money on: October 31, 2023, 08:23:09 PM
...
Now we finally come to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is said to be money. But is that true? Given the above, we can determine this quite easily. All we need to do is answer the following question: can Bitcoin be used for a concrete, practical purpose besides being traded? And here the answer is resolutely - no. Namely, the way Bitcoin was created, is that its author came up with a protocol that assigns virtual points (bitcoins). Points are assigned to bitcoin addresses and stored in a peer-to-peer database. However, whichever owner of an address holds the points, cannot do anything with them except send them to another bitcoin address. They can only exchange them on the market, i.e. use them as a means of exchange. Therefore, no practical purpose exists for which bitcoins would be withdrawn from the market and whose fulfillment would generate a specific amount of benefit to the holders. Consequently, there is no value to estimate. Due to the absence of a value as a reference for how many bitcoins is worth accepting for goods or services, market participants do that blindly. For example, they used to give two pizzas for 10 thousand bitcoins, and today they give the equivalent of a whooping 1,000 houses for the same number of bitcoins. This is a nice practical confirmation of the fact that Bitcoin is not money. It works as money because it is exchanged but is not money because it is purposeless.

If Bitcoin is not money, then what is it? Well, it is a means of recording membership in some kind of decentralized and self-governing pyramid scheme. Members invest purposeful items in it - goods, services and money. They then get recorded by the peer-to-peer network with a certain number of points. Finally, they wait for new investors so they can get out of the scheme. Without new investors, they cannot get purposeful items back - which is how all pyramid schemes operate. Since the Bitcoin scheme is online and thus global, early members made huge profits, which caused great public interest and created a considerable membership base. It is estimated that today the scheme has more than 200 million members.

I really spent a lot of time reading your article where in the end you said bitcoin is a pyramid scheme lol

to understand bitcoin, you won't be able to just use a general understanding of money, bitcoin is future money which means money and also an investment tool. Bitcoin is like gold, even though it has no physical form, every bitcoin that is traded is recorded on the blockchain ledger. always remember that a pyramid scheme or what is called a ponzi scheme will not have fluctuations in value, so it is only a fool who classifies bitcoin as one of the types of pyramid schemes lol.
795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you any of pump groups or Channel ? on: October 31, 2023, 07:07:51 PM
Im on with notourious powerpump team yesterday they pumped yfi i made nice profit with them.
Tell me your experince about pump ? My experinces are good to be honest most of money i Made with pump.
I remember when ETC pumped i Made from 10$ to 500$ in few hours i don't Understood why people don't like pumps it's really great i have made real money from pumps.

Today poweroump team will pump LTC let's see how high they send it

I was once in a pump and dump token type group but the results were not good, I actually suffered quite a big loss because they suggested joining the VIP group to get better profits, so I left the group. For the OP, if the group you are following is really able to provide accurate predictions and information regarding the next price of the token they are planning then you can help the members here by providing screenshot evidence before the prediction and the results after that.
796  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giveaway Scam On the Rise on: October 31, 2023, 06:39:33 PM
...unlikely to get a genuine crypto giveaway. It's better to stay clear of it, as the few information required of you to join the giveaway can be used to sweep your cryptocurrency. Most of them are now equipped with AI generated Ideas, from what I understood from this article

Image from a crypto giveaway article by coinbase https://www.coinbase.com/blog/crypto-giveaway-scams-and-how-to-spot-them

with the presence of AI which can no longer be separated from humans, scammers deliberately use it to try to take advantage by deceiving many people, especially deceiving those who are still beginners in the world of crypto or who are truly greedy people. I've also read posts that mention influential people in the world holding bitcoin or ethereum giveaways but in reality it's not them who do that, they even use live streaming videos to attract more people who they want to deceive. remember, nothing is as easy as giving bitcoin or other altcoins nowadays, never trust any tricks they use, we all have to be careful with the tricks they use.

797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: October 31, 2023, 05:53:04 PM
A person's sadness can cause them to become addicted to anything, because they are depressed. You are no longer in the right mindset, all you want is to turn your attention to others, especially if the love of your life has left you.
In your friend's situation, gambling is what he turned his attention to so that he could forget what he was going through at least a little bit.

There are two things that actually shouldn't be considered in gambling, namely gambling as the best way to make money and gambling as an escape from the realities of life, gambling should only be used as entertainment.

btw, This is a strong reason why everyone is obliged to have good social relations in their environment, but out there now there are quite a lot of introverted people, who feel they are not worthy of being friends with other people. In essence, attention from family - closest friends - social services is very important to support someone who is depressed or who is truly lonely.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 30, 2023, 08:38:49 PM
At one of the local gambling shop I visited during the weekend I happened to listen to a conversation between two bald looking gamblers at the shop talking about one of their gambling colleague who had won a big amount of money amounting to a million in the local currency and due to that win this colleague of theirs' has been avoiding them since e won that money. From their conversation it was obvious that they were a circle of close three friends that gamble together.

After all I finished with my bet headed home and was asking myself what could the colleague act that way avoiding his close friends they all gambling together and just because luck shines on him first he decides to create a distance and class. I couldn't actually annex a good reason why anyone should do that.

We often see things like this happen to gamblers, they will definitely not share their winnings with friends or other people, when you gamble with your friend and your friend wins big, he will definitely avoid you, there is no reason to continue with you, I often think about what exactly gambling addicts are looking for so they become so greedy even towards their own friends, don't let unpleasant things happen to you, don't have high expectations from your gambling table friends.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spirituality and Betting - Do they Have any Connection? on: October 30, 2023, 07:35:19 PM
...
For better understanding, let me first explain the picture above
From the picture above, we can tell that the person who did this is a gambler, and he or she is also a Christian who probably believes God can actually help him or her win big in betting, so the different Bible apps which he or she put around the sportybet app in the middle mean two things for me.

1. He or she wants God to get involved in his or her betting and make him or her win  Grin.
2. Protection so that no evil will make him loss beta unnecessarily, since we Christians believe that the word of God protects, and we all know that the word of God is contained in the Bible.

Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?

I don't know what other people believe, but in my opinion, every win that occurs in gambling, not everything is pure luck, there are other factors that influence it, one of which is our belief and also our skills. every part that happens in your life, there is God who intervenes in it, so never take the small things that happen when you gamble lightly, humans do not live alone, there is always God who accompanies you when you are sad, angry, happy and so on.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: October 28, 2023, 09:08:20 PM
I share my answer to this. To be frank, I don't care about the other people, or, let's say, those people who're not related to me. I share many pieces of advice and opinions here in the forum about how to aid addiction to gambling, such as that, but that's it, because I believe it's still up to the person if he or she will absorb my advice or every piece of advice he or she receives. My only concerns are my friends and family. I once helped a friend who got too addicted to gambling. I helped him divert his attention to other things and helped him earn in different ways, like trading and investing in bitcoin, which is more efficient than wasting money on gambling with no idea if you will really earn from it. So I'm more likely to help related to me only, maybe I can help to the others but will not put too much effort.

I wonder if people addicted to gambling are reading this at all
if they are then this is already a quite good first step
they're aware of the problem and probably want to solve it

it's way harder to solve things when you're not aware of them

that's why a community was formed that discusses gambling addiction, there they will be accompanied by people who care about them, because the people around them will not necessarily care about them very much. Getting rid of gambling addiction is not an easy thing, so extra effort is needed to help everyone who is addicted to gambling to recover, often gambling addicts come from poor families, so they don't have the money to go to a psychiatrist. therefore, always gamble responsibly, don't let your mind become damaged because of gambling, news like this should be advertised for gambling addicts.
