1241  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance crisis - how will it affect the crypto market? on: June 10, 2023, 06:12:34 PM
...
- In your opinion, is this a consequence of increased pressure on China by the U.S.?
- What will the problems of Binance lead to for crypto market and crypto users?

all this fuss has nothing to do with china, this is only business of Binance being deemed to have violated some rules set by the SEC to make the cryptocurrency ecosystem in the country healthier (they said).

maybe for now the valuation of the crypto market will be quite affected, considering that Binance and BNB are 2 entities that influence the crypto market and this news has a negative impact on both of them which causes disruption to the valuation of the global crypto market. hundreds of millions of dollars in losses will be inevitable, considering that this news is bad news for the crypto market and causes a decline in the confidence of investors. but this is only temporary, of course the crypto market will get better in the future, it just takes time.
1242  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: June 10, 2023, 07:14:00 AM
Russia is now contributing to 42% of all the crude oil imports to India. An average of 1.96 million barrels per day was imported last month, which is greater than the combined imports from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.

https://www.outlookindia.com/national/india-s-oil-import-from-russia-continues-to-increase-news-291981

The EXW cost of crude oil imported from various nations at Indian ports are as follows:

Russia: $68.21 per barrel
Iraq: $77.77 per barrel
Saudi Arabia: $86.96 per barrel

Russian and Iraqi prices are as expected. But Saudi prices are much higher than the benchmark crude levels. It is clear that Saudi Arabia is trying to over-price it's crude exports, taking advantage of the prevailing political tensions.

Russia and India are likely to further improve their relationship, given that 40% of India's defense comes from Russia and resources like oil, iron and many others also come from Russia and the price India gets is cheaper than what the global market offers. , that's why India is more interested in importing resources from Russia.

The relationship between India and Russia is a profitable relationship, besides Russia needs India as their trading partner to earn money, India also needs Russian resources to support their economy. It is estimated that this trade relationship will continue to improve in the next year given that America and its allies are reluctant to impose sanctions on India.
1243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin criticizer, 'Black Swan' author, admits BTC isn't useful for 'bad guys' on: June 10, 2023, 03:28:43 AM
In an attempt to discredit and disdain Bitcoin once again, 'Black Swan' author Nassim Taleb, ended declaring Bitcoin isn't useful for the 'bad guys' (thieves), due to its transparency and traceability nature which is visible in a public blockchain at anytime, which can't be forged or adulterated.

So much angry against Bitcoin put one of the strongest arguments of the critics in contradiction. Now they have to decide, is Bitcoin bad because it helps thieves, or is it good because it can't benefit thieves? Huh

'Black Swan' Author Destroys Bitcoin (BTC): 'Cult-Like, Useless, and Dangerous'

Quote
In a scathing critique of the crypto industry, Nassim Taleb, the renowned author of "Black Swan," launched a blistering attack on Bitcoin (BTC), dismissing it as a useless and dangerous phenomenon, reports Business Insider.
Quote
Speaking at the Bloomberg Invest conference, Taleb denounced Bitcoin, asserting that it offered no haven and failed to serve even the purpose of money launderers.
Quote
He debunked the notion that Bitcoin facilitated money laundering, arguing that its traceability made it unsuitable for such illicit activities.

i just laugh at people who discredit bitcoin and call it unfit for use because it is often used by criminals. don't they think that fiat is much more used for crime? take a look at cases of corruption, money laundering, drugs, most of them still use fiat for their transactions, so does that make fiat much better than bitcoin?

so don't think that for reasons like these it makes Bitcoin appear to be a dangerous digital asset and must be abandoned, precisely because it is untraceable and secure it is what makes many people use bitcoin. regardless of the purpose of people using it, it is the right of each one, no one should interfere with it.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) 2021 on: June 09, 2023, 08:38:11 PM
HI OP, it looks like you have to update this topic because ever since Messi moved to Inter Miami, the world's eyes seem to be on MLS, I'm also still awkward with this league but it seems like this is one of the leagues that must get attention especially Messi is willing to sacrifice big money offers the big deal is just unique to be in inter miami Grin
Messi effect is going to be felt in this MLS like Ronaldo did to the Saudi League. Lovers of football, fans of Messi, brands and sponsors are are going to shift their gaze from Europe now to America. There is going to be increased sports betting in the league and viewership would increase especially from people outside of the USA. Will this have any effect on the team's performance and position in the league? Nobody knows. What we know is that Messi is going to me making a ton of money.

in the USA football is a sport that gets the least amount of attention than futball, baseball or basketball so with the presence of messi in one of the USA clubs, it is hoped that it can boost the prestige of football there, it is also rumored that angel di maria, who is currently officially free transfer will join inter miami to accompany messi, it seems that this news will really happen.
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 09, 2023, 08:12:13 PM
Arsenal will need to bring in some new players to improve their squad depth in order to compete comfortably in these two tournaments. They require it even more today, given how their season ended with them losing the Premier League title to Manchester City.

One of the major reasons was that some of their core top 11 players were injured, and there was no better alternative to fill those spots, therefore they performed poorly and gradually lost the title fight to Manchester City. They need a more powerful and agile team now; they must be fit and compete well in both their domestic league and the European competition.

arsenal doesn't want to be left behind in the transfer market this time, they are also hunting for declan rice after west ham succeeded in winning the conference league, but the price that west ham wants for declan rice is very high, around 90 million pounds more, I doubt they will be able to buy declan rice at that price, arsenal really need a midfielder and maybe they should look for other player options.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 09, 2023, 07:05:29 PM
Is this and end of an era for PSG dream team ? They didn't win UCL and now everyone seems to leave or about to leave next year.

I know the Messi situation will continue to be on front page on every newspaper but I really believe that his move to Inter is bad one as he still has a lot to offer to football in Europe but I guess after he full filled his dream to win WC , his desire to play top football is kinda gone. In MLS , he will  simply destroy them but he has to be mega careful to avoid injuries because those players are not used to what Messi will do to them.  Grin

it can be said that the decision taken by Messi to prefer MLS was quite wise. what else can messi expect at PSG, he is no longer appreciated by PSG fans for failing to bring PSG to win the UCL trophy even though he has worked hard for it, maybe we will also hear news about Neymar moving to another team but for mbappe it looks like he will stay at PSG until some time in the future maybe.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 09, 2023, 06:49:15 PM
If we don't see them reaching an agreement with Tottenham for Kane then I hope we can see a young and promising striker to be signed. I mean especially Osimhen about this because he was the most attention getting striker of the past season. He is really promising for many more years already. I can't imagine how much he can do with even a bigger team like Real Madrid.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has uncertain statement that few months ago he said Osimhen will be sell with expensive price but recently he has been said Osimhen will not for sale and Napoli will do anything to protect this player even in the near future Napoli has a plan to giving Osimhen new contract extension although Osimhen contract will be expired until 2025 and why he did this because with losing Osimhen there will be a big hole for Napoli squad so De Laurentiis doesn't want to losing any important players especially Napoli want to defend their title

The president of Napoli seems to be very serious about getting their team to dominate Serie A again next season by maintaining Osimhen and he even raised the value of Osimhen to 120 million euros, that's a crazy amount. I'm sure Madrid will withdraw from their hunt for Osimhen because the value is already unreasonable, especially since they just bought Bellingham for a fantastic price too.

1248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend interested in investing in BTC but the friend's father does not agree on: June 09, 2023, 02:00:56 PM
...

I live in a country that prohibits Bitcoin and Altcoin trading and violating it will incur a fine, but here I still trade and invest in Bitcoin. I won't be afraid if the police approach me, because I think the transactions I make are still reasonable and I don't use Bitcoin for other purposes, only for trade and investment. so I think it's safe.

so as long as you only trade and invest in Bitcoin it doesn't matter, even when your country prohibits it, because you have done nothing wrong, unless you use it for criminal purposes, it is wrong. that's why many people still trade and invest in Bitcoin in China even though Bitcoin is banned there, because they haven't committed any criminal acts and the police are too tired to take action against them.
1249  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: June 09, 2023, 12:20:14 PM
Savings is a very good idea because noone know tomorrow. Some people survive in their old age because they have save earlier

I think saving is important, but that doesn't guarantee that you will be able to survive in old age by just saving money, you need passive income which can give you money regularly. investment can be the answer to this, because instead of saving money, you save stocks/bonds which can give you passive income or when you need it you can sell it to get fresh funds, and it can give you a bigger return.

or you can try to save on bitcoin assets and when you need it you can sell it quickly which can give you a much bigger return than what regular investments offer and with that money you can enjoy old age in peace.
1250  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: June 09, 2023, 07:40:19 AM
With the current issue in the crypto world between Cz (Changpeng Zhao) Ceo of binance and the Sec, I support Cz with reasons that binance has done alot to earn it's communities trust, helping millions of users in the crypto ecosystem, and has more durable marketing strategy whereas the Sec is government driven and wants to control everybody.
It's unfair that the sec is suppressing a private cooperation that's helping to grow & build the crypto world, binance is helping everybody including crypto whales and newbies and a fight against binance is against the world.
What's your say on this?

i support Cz because regardless of his pros and cons as the CEO of Binance, he has done a lot for the crypto community, for example in my country they help donate to natural disasters, increase crypto adoption, and many other things. although many people say that Binance as an exchange violates some rules, what business is not like that? no need to be hypocritical because the average business is run in a dishonest manner.

so even if Binance made a mistake, whatever it is, they should only be given sanctions and fines, don't make them look like criminals, because that is a discriminatory act against the crypto platform.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early coins movement ? on: June 09, 2023, 06:52:23 AM
No need to investigate any further mates, I confess now I did that transaction Grin Grin.

Well for one reason I don't see why we want to investigate about other people funds, I thought the whole essence of this decentralized system is to remain anonymous from the government system and control our funds. But I do agree though, its either an old miner trying to move his funds for safety purpose or an old investor who totally abandoned his BTC allowing it to grow and now back to move it out to safety, well it could be anyone and I don't think knowing him would make  any difference instead I intend to hold such BTC as he did one day Cool

what's wrong with monitoring transactions from Bitcoin wallets? There's nothing wrong with that, because it's posted on the blockchain for everyone to see. and also even though we are here to monitor transactions from the wallet, we do not violate anyone's privacy because even if we know the transaction was made on the blockchain, we do not know who and where he did it.

so it needs to be underlined that all transactions from wallets on the blockchain can be monitored and there is nothing wrong with that because we also need to know what these wallets are doing because it can affect prices in the market.

One of the co-owner of Inter Miami is David Beckham and he left PSG to become one of the owner of the Inter Miami, Messi is following the same path and have gotten a stake in the club with some other benefits, I'm very confident that his presence and good midfilders supports will revive that club and the success of that club will become his own success, the world will know for sure the existence of Inter Miami as similar to how Ronaldo help Al-Nasir to get fame in other part of the world.

Becoming a player and co-owner of Inter Miami is definitely not an easy decision for Messi to make, he's like making a bet, but everyone should be able to support messi especially his fans because it's all for the sake of his future.

after previously successfully bringing in lewandowski from bayern, it seems that xavi will not stop to hijack bayern players, this issue is hot.

I don't want to try to be a gambling consultant because I'm not that serious and I fully understand it, by the way because in my country gambling is illegal so this type of work (gambling consultant) is a very new thing for me but what I heard there are several types of gambling consultants, the first as a gambling business consultant and the second as a consultant for gambling games, is that true?
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 08, 2023, 06:35:57 PM
Apart from Mbappe, who has been a target for Real Madrid in recent seasons, Kane is another. Kane is a worthy target to replace Benzema, but other rumors suggest that Manchester United are also expecting him to play at Old Trafford next season. Kane's situation is not yet clear whether he will go to Real Madrid or Manchester United, so of course with him Real Madrid must find other alternatives so they can bring in the best striker next season.

Kane is a reliable striker who can operate on the front lines of Real Madrid. Ancelotti's strategy seems to suit him and he will be a mainstay for the next few seasons. But I doubt if Kane will move to the Santiago Bernabeu or even stay in the Premier League for Manchester United.

I am surprised that to this day the players targeted by Real Madrid seem to be difficult for them to get, for example, Mbappe, until now he is still stuck at PSG while Harry Kane is still gray because some sources claim he only wants to be in the EPL. since benzema left for al ittihad, madrid's attack line will definitely be chaotic and weak, so before the transfer market ends, they should be able to get a replacement for benzema as soon as possible (before the season starts again).

A transaction of 1432.92 btc happened today https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/1E6nViR5Xv1wyNXg87SamvtLJ5TyXuksLC .

The odd thing about this address is it ( almost ) contains block rewards from early days , specifically first reward is from block #2718 which is less than a month since launch . Only 2 transactions are not block rewards , a 0.01 btc and a 32.91 btc . All the other are coinbase rewards of 50 btc .

Did satoshi came back to spend his coins ? A very early miner or an early OTC buyer decided to take profits ?

Time will tell . I'll try to dig more to see if i can find anything . Any opinions or findings are appreciated .

218,941.38USD worth of bitcoins was just transferred from this wallet to a new wallet, pretty sure this is the old holder's wallet and for some reason he is trying to move his bitcoins to a safe place.

what's interesting is that he's moving his bitcoins to a self-custody wallet instead of the one linked to an exchange, meaning that he wants to hold his bitcoins for a much longer period of time or is he just making this wallet a temporary shelter before he deposits to the exchange? because 218,941.38USD is quite a lot of money and he can live peacefully with this much money. no one knows what he will do with his bitcoin but this wallet is very interesting to monitor its activities.
1257  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason of why Bitcoin is good for trading (for me) on: June 08, 2023, 06:33:16 AM
...

Keep in mind I never learn about chart, candlestick, trend etc, all of my decision come from my mood and instinct. No stop limit, no follow any signal, no watching my PC for 24/7 etc, just directly buy and sell.

Is there anyone like me here? Cheesy

trading without analysis and learning as you do is very risky. because if you use mood/instinct it's not trading but gambling, because trading uses analysis and various strategies to be able to minimize losses and get profits. whereas gambling is that you actually buy an asset and hope that it goes up or down, you don't use any method, just stick to your feelings.

there's nothing wrong with you from now on starting to learn to analyze the market based on the news. No need to be complicated to learn charting, just learn the fundamentals. trading like this is much more fun, because we can see how we try to analyze and get profit and when it works we will definitely appreciate trading more.
1258  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: June 08, 2023, 03:49:01 AM
...

Sometimes someone is aiming for freedom in managing their assets, so they will choose to invest instead of them choosing the staking option, because this staking has been locked within a specified time frame and this way freedom is not included in staking, even though both are equally good options, and maybe people will choose their own direction.

both staking and investing can be profitable, but depending on the situation both are very good to be used, for example, I keep staking some of my assets and hold the rest in my wallet. I usually stake stablecoin assets as a precaution if in the future my investment experiences a significant decline.

because after all you need reserve assets to be able to take care of future situations or you need emergency funds for certain situations, for example funds for operations or various other needs. and usually I make these funds in the form of stablecoins and stake them on credible CEXs like Binance. even though they offer quite a small interest rate at least my assets can increase little by little.
1259  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 08, 2023, 03:16:48 AM
One of the major reasons why bitcoin Enthusiasts hold bitcoin is in anticipation of a price increase that would increase the value of their asset. However, holding your bitcoin requires a patience mixed with strong will. It is the patience to be patient for a long period of time until the price makes a 10%, 20% and so on increase. Strong will not to use it to solve some immediate problem and risk a reduction in your asset. Consequently, not everyone one can wait that is why some decide to learn bitcoin trading so that they can make some quick profit that would also increase their asset holding. Some other become bitcoin lenders. Yes, they use either a centralized or decentralized platform to lend their bitcoin which would be repaid with interest. What is your honest take on bitcoin lending? Too risky, won't try it? Too risky, will give it a try?

if asked to choose to hold or lend my bitcoin, I prefer to hold it, even when the loan has collateral and a few percent interest. why is that? because I don't want the assets that I hold to be in the hands of other people, and when I need them, I can't sell or withdraw them directly.

I am a holder, not a lender. indeed it's a win-win, but just imagine when the bitcoin is lent to someone else, meaning we are waiting for it to be returned, while no one can predict the momentum of the bitcoin price. imagine when the bitcoin price rises and your bitcoin is still in someone's hands other? you will lose the momentum to sell it which can generate bigger profits. not to mention that the risk of the lending platform going bankrupt, it also needs to be considered. that's why I prefer to hold it in my wallet.

A few days ago I made a post betting that he would go to Barcelona for a season and then go to the USA.
It was supposed to happen, but unfortunately Barcelona didn't get the necessary elements to close the contract with him.

this is really crazy, no one thought that messi would accept the offer to go to inter miami even though al hilal really wanted it even at a high rate, i wonder what really made messi interested in inter miami, was it for beckham or something else!
