781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the existence of bitcoins a threat to jobs and national currencies? on: August 18, 2018, 02:46:31 PM
maybe or maybe not, maybe for those people who is willing to learn and invest in this kind of investment, maybe not for those people that is close minded that do 8-hour shift a day. National currencies ? maybe because bitcoin is like banking that anyone can do, maybe not because we aren't sure on its security.

It is not like that everyone is forced or trapped in the job cycle. Some people do a job because their passion lies in that field. Some people give their entire live working in NGOs and they are satisfied. I do not think they will be tempted to leave that job ever for gaining money through crypto investment.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My sweet and bitter experience about bitcoin on: August 18, 2018, 02:45:01 PM
everyone has such a story. the main thing to learn from this experience. because you never learn from someone else's experience)

A smart person actually learns from other people experiences only. This forum has got so much of experiences of people from all over the world, that I will value it more than anything else here. For instance, when bitcoin was going to be banned in my country, when went through similar decisions made in neighboring countries and made a call based on that to sell.

783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too late to invest in bitcoin? Is it a bubble? on: August 18, 2018, 02:30:41 PM
now many companies are adopting bitcoin as an alternative payment instantly. therefore many people will buy bitcoin to buy their products. let's be patient for now. maybe we don't know when bitcoin will rise but I'm sure in the near future

I agree that this is a step in right direction. However, we need more companies to adopt this. Like if companies like Amazon implement this, this will be a huge boost to crypto. Most of the online store already have additional payment options to cash payment like gift cards. Crypto can also be a good addition to this.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to make bitcoin a popular payment method? on: August 18, 2018, 02:28:49 PM
To make Bitcoin popular, you must share your positive experience when it comes to Bitcoin. The Good effects and the convenience of Bitcoin to financial transactions.

And this positive experience needs to b shared on platforms other than social networking websites or chat groups as well. I feel that there is already enough of online promotions for crypto. Now we need to explore untapped market which do not use internet that frequently. Something like sharing experience in local gatherings with friends can be one step in right direction.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INVEST AND DON'T HAVE REGRETS !! on: August 18, 2018, 02:24:02 PM
Some people feel that crypto is dead now as it has not given good performance in 2018. In the same year, a lot of people have been able to make good profits by making right investments at correct time. If someone invested in ripple just 7-14 days back, he would have got about 20-305 returns in such a short term duration.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin First Billionaire: Winklevoss Twins on: August 18, 2018, 02:22:38 PM
Has it occurred to you that many bitcoin holders have been traced and beaten up in their homes after exposing how much coins they own. I do not think many people will want to expose themselves after hearing and seeing all this theft. Some may even split their coins into many wallets to avoid trace.

They are influential and powerful enough to protect themselves. They already had a lot of wealth before they invested in bitcoins. For an average guy living in developing country with limited security, this might be a problem. But  for a person of their stature, I do not think that they need to be scared of a robber coming to their home and beating them up for their bitcoins.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake volume in exchanges on: August 13, 2018, 06:56:00 PM
Found an interesting article in which one guy did some datamining on some popular exchanges and their volumes:

https://medium.com/@sylvainartplayribes/chasing-fake-volume-a-crypto-plague-ea1a3c1e0b5e

Apparently a few of these giants are falsifying their volumes. Maybe because a higher market cap would make people think it's a more trustworthy exchange? I don't know if it's really worth going through all of that effort.

Would this have a major effect on the prices? I know we used to see huge differences in prices in the past, but now you won't see much more than a few percent here and there between exchanges.

Of course, they will do that. Crypto world has become very much filled with these suspicious activities which affects the trust of all investors.

An experienced investors might be able to spot such manipulations done by big entities but new investors will fall for this and suffer huge loss. Best option for them is to invest in coins like bitcoin where least manipulation is possible.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you research altcoins? on: August 13, 2018, 06:42:21 PM
Read community member posts, and ask questions about the project and current developments. Review the source code on github and etc.

1) Reading the opinion of other members can be very useful. Some of the members do share the essence of their research related to a particular coin.

2) Asking specific questions will also help clear doubt.

Regarding your last suggestion for github, does it also involves technical knowledge like coding and all ?
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get more profit? on: August 13, 2018, 06:36:30 PM
If you want to gain more profit, you can join some ICO project. Like airdrops or campaign.
You can join in airdrop because it is a simplest and fastest way to gain money.
For me, the profit not too small and not too big. You can also join in bounty campaign in ICO and buy some coins from there

This can be profitable but the member needs to some precautions like:

1) Make sure that the project is being  managed by a  reputed manager , otherwise you may get nothing.

2) If the people involved with the project have had done a previous airdrop successfully, it is a big plus in my opinion.

790  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) on: August 13, 2018, 06:26:16 PM
Has anyone received a confirmation about if this campaign is still going on?
Ive been wearing the signature and avatar and posting, but Im not certain if its all for nothing.

The campaign is going on. You will be paid for posts that you make after the campaign manger declares that you are accepted. Normally, the announcement is every 2 weeks at time of payment. Now you have to wait for the next response from the manager on this thread.

791  Economy / Economics / Re: Government regulation on cryptocurrency, GOOD or BAD? on: August 13, 2018, 06:20:37 PM
I feel this is a good thing, because then the cryptocurrency will be available to many people, and more importantly there is no more confusion for cryptocurrency holders.

Right. Regulations are better than complete ban as :

1) A country banning crypto completely is closing all doors. But a country which is just adding some taxes may reconsider the restrictions in future and lift them if they see people getting benefited with crypto.

2) By announcing the regulations, the government will indirectly encourage more people to invest who were earlier scared to invest.
792  Economy / Economics / Re: The whole market is going down. Any particular reason for that? on: August 13, 2018, 06:18:30 PM
But once the price drop means just buy the bitcoin at low price and hold it for future. Surely the price will increase in future.

It is not that simple. How do you know that it will not drop further after the first price drop ?

I mean suppose there is major announcement coming regarding some country banning crypto. As soon as the news is leaked, price will start dropping. As per your suggestion, one should at that time. When finally the ban is imposed, prices will decline very fast and you will be in loss. I hope this hypothetical situation will help you make better decisions regarding time of entry and exit in a particular coin.
793  Economy / Economics / Re: So many cryptocurrencies ! on: August 13, 2018, 06:14:57 PM
this will make crypto more attractive to many people, but there is the worst possibility if this continues to happen, coin value will be cheaper because traders and investors are divided into various kinds of altcoin

I do not think that it would any benefit because:

1) With so many coins coming up, market share will keep getting smaller for each coin. This will affect the growth of old coins.

2) Most of the new coins do not have any new feature. They will fail and people will loose money.
794  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is not a bubble on: August 13, 2018, 06:13:37 PM
Bitcoin and blockchain will be the future of money as well as the world financial sector. It's not a bubble. It is true that Bitcoin is facing many hardships by the government in the prohibition. Bitcoin is also used for money laundering by some organizations as well as individuals, so Bitcoin is considered bubble is easy to understand.

If bitcoin is affected because of government regulations or bans, that does mean it is a bubble.

Many good programs or projects had suffered because of such behavior from the government. However, it is quite ironical that some of the governments think that bitcoin is abubble and are thus making those regulations.

10 plays for 500$

That's expensive af o.o

How do we even know the results are legit?

You can know for sure that they are not legit. OP is a newbie and his post contains no proof to support what he is claiming.

If he thought to promote his website, he should have put a little more effort.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play online casino? if Yes... on: August 13, 2018, 06:01:31 PM
Gambling can be both draining and refreshing, it depends on ourselves. It is indeed draining for those who take gambling as a way to earn money only but for some other people gambling can be a refreshing thing. I do enjoy playing poker game and sportsbetting, I'm sure it is not draining for me. People should not think about losing money if they want to get refreshed on gambling, people should think that the losing money is like something that they should spend to get the refreshment. At least it is what I do so far, I wont be drained on gambling as I have a limit and I do not care about losing it.

I agree. For instance, there are some cash based tournaments on a particular site. I selectively play those games whenever I am free. I know that the probability of winning in those games is less than a match between 3-4 participants. Still, that half hour game is very thrilling for me and thus I always end up choosing that particular game only.

797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life with a Gambler - Solution! on: August 13, 2018, 05:58:32 PM
When I got addicted to gambling, I was living alone. It took me a lot of time to recover and getting back to the family was also a helping hand in that. However, I do agree that some addicted players are burden for their family members. One of my friends used to loose a lot of money and his parents used to pay for his expense like rent and food.

798  Other / Archival / Re: Do i need a license if i want to create a crypto gambling site? on: August 13, 2018, 05:56:49 PM
Yes that is right that different countries have different rules and regulation about opening a online casino, in my country I know that it is totally illegal and they are not issuing any license to create a online gambling site, it will be totally illegal in my country. With license we can attract more gamblers, but after crypto payments no owners provide importance to this.

There are ways to twist the legal conditions and operate such sites even if the law does not allow that. For instance, in some countries the rules is than any online game which involves some skills cannot be banned. Now gambling activities like card based games may fall in these category and thus one can run such websites in that country.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government backed, regulated gambling is more predatory than Crypto Gambling on: August 13, 2018, 05:55:11 PM
Yes, but the problem is that the government is sponsoring it. We have to hold the government to a higher standard because it is supposed to represent the interests of the people.

This is much more complicated. Most  of the governments support these things mainly because of the tax they get. This tax is used for the welfare of poor and unprivileged and thus ultimately the money goes to those who need it. However, if the government is corrupt, then the money might not be reaching right hands.

Even if government completely bans these things, people will find loopholes or alternatives.

800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: August 13, 2018, 05:52:33 PM
Why can't you?

I think that his response was very valid. It is hard to imagine the world without gambling. Gambling exists since many years and even kings used to show interest in such activities. The human nature craves for thrill and fun and thus he invests things like gambling. It is is natural to be involved with gambling related activities.

Of course, no one would have though that it would evolve so much with time.
