What is POM ?
Good question; no one was questioning this before, though we're talking "CPU mining | PoS-II | PoM | Unique BLK reward | [MagiPay]". PoM has more meaning (since we're advising 1st PoM) than a single campaign as done before (which was an approach to protect coin distribution): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=802681.0; some details here: http://arxiv.org/pdf/1409.7948v1.pdfPoM - proof of mining; by it's definition, the more mining efforts being placed, the more rewards one gets. This is typically right in mining any coins, while it's particularly emphasized in Magi (on individuals' participation), because of the design of PoW block reward. A simple description of the block reward is that it decreases with increasing network hashrate, and may hit zero when network hash is significantly high. A consequence of this is big miners get frustrated. If one is familiar with the block reward ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9991269#msg9991269), you will see block reward could be easily hitting zero. A point here, which was also being argued among people, is who will exit if mining nothing? This is where PoM campaign will be functioning. The campaign will encourage people to keep mining by rewarding despite the amount of block reward. To understand the purpose of the PoM campaign , we can see what happens if we're on the opposite situation - what if generic miners quit first?: 1) big miners keep mining, 2) because of miners quitting, network hash getting low, block reward increasing, and big miners get rewarded more! So now you see PoM campaign is trying to protect the network and to ensure FAIR coin distribution. To the individuals, PoM means one will receive better rewarding by long term mining. Provided that we, the generic miners, form a solid league, won't give up mining in any situation. One will receive less mining share if big miners are present since they have more hash weight over the rest of miners. It should be noted, however, that coin distribution is pretty much protected by the significantly reduced block reward, as much less coins will be mined in this case. At the time of big miners' leaving, network hash decreasing, not only one gets higher mining share, but also the block reward is high. Then you know why Magi can achieve the FAIRness in coin distribution.

Yes there will be. Working on good and solid plan. Also could use more donations. At this moment fund for PoM-II is 10.000 XMG. What is the address for donations to this fund? You can rely on me for 2000 XMG Thank you guys, here is the address:
99TPno3sPeUfDh9tq4To7xkLAYNQV1Qri1
The funds will be more than 20K, and we can be open for donations which will be back to the funds for PoM spending.

I noticed few newbies here, asking about mining hash speed and miner in general. Some of them still using old/slow miner - how about removing them from OP and leave just latest/fastest version of a miner? The miner info in OP has been changed; the latest miners kept there. Thanks for heads up. (I feel like modifying the OP is more difficult than coding ) Spexx, can you see if the info regarding your packages is latest and other links are needed.

That's great, Lightsplasher, thanks a lot. Looks like we have a nice m-face team now (all current magiteam is not mentioned, I will be in touch with them) Team list: kondiomir, go6ooo1212, prfagun1, digibob00, BitcoinFX, NeedIfFindIt, Spexx, hefty, Lightsplasher To all above members, could you please PM me your contact info other than bitcointalk (e.g., email; you can register an email specifically for the coin so that I won't bother your personal/business mail account), your first name (you can give me a fake name ), a bit information about your expertise (in case we need your help) and what you'd like to do for magi (pls don't force yourself into something which makes you busy, you can say I'd like to do ** in the future, or say I am unable to do any program/code but I can post/answer questions; you can also change "what to do" in the future). @all others, joining the list is really easy, just let me know if you want to approach towards the team, and as mentioned above, you don't need to code. The bottom line is to be an active member (see rule in the relevant post). That's about it.

Last week there was an idea that keeps going through my head. One of the unique developments of the Coin of the Magi is to bring the digital currency closer to the people. Anyone with a computer can mine Magi. There is the possibility to mine Magi environmentally conscious. If we all look back to the past 6 months, we see that enormous steps are created through collaboration. Even so much that it was almost impossible for the small team, to make this huge amount of information and new developments organized. Fortunately, the team and the community has increased. The entire thread will be checked and the positive developments will be placed in clear instructions and statements.
In recent times there are several scams and new clones recovered in the crypto world. Having patience is a challenge for some people. Magi has shown to be a good investment for the long term. At present there are still many people who just discovered the Coin of the Magi or have not yet been discovered. Magi is still at the beginning of a long and bright future in the world of digital currency. The big marketing campaigns have yet to begin.
Going back to the idea. In the early stages Magi has launched a unique campaign. The POM, Proof of mining campaign. Personally I found this a fantastic campaign. It gave smaller miners the opportunity to earn more coins. Now I'm trying to find out how the Coin of the Magi could start a new proof-of-mining campaign. POM-II And what the rules concerning that new proof of mining campaign will be.
I need feedback from the community. So if you have ideas post them here.
Thanks for reading!
Nice words, mate. We'll be on the PoM movement; some details include the reward rule, how to record hash rate, and the duration of the PoM.

i am playing all night with render settings 4 intro 4 magi tutorial video im trying to make, i made 2 magipay walpapers/test rends for fun ... hefty, I really liked the image. Would you possibly revise the image into the magipay logo, or a banner for merchant with "Magi accepted here"? also the symbol "sigma" looks nicer than that in the current coin logo; I'd like to change the coin logo if we can come up with a simple & impressive version. thanks mate, i am working on graphics for groupation of hotels right now (logo design, adwords/fb banners etc) and working 2 shifts as sys admin at same time i barely get any sleep these days, but i am in to do some magi graphics when i finish with current graphics design job in 7-10 days, it will be great if we can irc or pm chat in a next week, so i know what is your vision of magi "look" and what i could do. cheers Take time, be sure to have sufficient sleep that will make up creativity especially for design job; we will talk then.

Spexx, regarding your prior post, I will add you into the list.
Ah righto. That's official then I am into XMG right up to the hilt now. Thanks Joe. Definitely the best thing I have got into for years. Thanks Spexx, you're the one who must be in the "team", while I am always under impression that being in team gives people the pressure. There is not yet consolidated projects, but I am sure we will go along with the direction it should be. I am sure we will come up with something when we have enough people who like this coin and like to contribute ideas. A good example: http://peer4commit.com; something like this is definitely what we need in my view; that's really a nice one btw. Anyone likes to have this happened in magi, or we should make different stuffs? Ideas? And yea, I believe I will be into the coin for years, the ever best project addition to the real job I'm living on, and I hope all of us shall be on it for years. @all, to have magi for years, the essential of this coin must be very sound, aka the coin design, PoW/PoS-II; so be sure to suggest me any improvement. "Make the "PoW algo" to be useful" is still something I am keen to; not very necessary though if we can't find the right one.

I dont know if hefty is or isn't "official" MAGI team member...if not, its time he becomes one We got few new m-faces here: kondiomir, go6ooo1212, prfagun1, digibob00, BitcoinFX, NeedIfFindIt I am here to ask @Spexx, @hefty, @historical and @all others (suggest me any other people), would you like to be marked as one of "m-faces"? For now, there is nothing special expected except a mark - the big family of Magi, nor I expect any thing (obligation) from you guys because of joining the family (so don't feel pressure upon joining). There is mostly a purpose which is to see a number of people closer to the coin. Addition to that, contributing to this coin is very much appreciated; even without m-face, we already had that as seen in the past. I was asking above, Spexx, (an informal invitation ) you missed this post too? It's really not "official"; I said a family, a small friendly community on top of the big community. And yes, all I am talking is the m-face (aka extended team; see the m-face post). This is the post regarding how to volunteer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg10561397#msg10561397 Spexx, regarding your prior post, I will add you into the list.

where the heck would I put this?? I have never had to modify anything to get it to work, kinda wondering why it would not just be updated to include this
*******Quick edit here ********** there are no files I can even open properly in my wallet folder in the appdata/roaming folder with any software that I have, it just has tons of garbage and black blocks that say null in white letters in them everywhere. I really hope this is not going to turn into a project that only programmers will be able to use because that is going to end the coin completely with no where near the support it will require for noble to ever amount to anything.
You're right; basically nothing else needs to be done to get sync work, except firing up the qt wallet; so firstly make sure you're using the right wallet which is downloaded from OP. (my version on mac os shows v2.0.0.0; check it!) The wallet will look for nodes and connect them automatically (might take a few minutes at 1st running). Secondly, the conf file (sorry, not the coin file as in prior post) should be noblecoin.conf ( correct me if the name is incorrect) and is in appdata/roaming/NoblecoinPOS folder. noblecoin.conf is really unnecessary; either way, save nodes in this file and restart your wallet. if noblecoin.conf is not present in appdata/roaming/NoblecoinPOS, create it; make sure the file name is noblecoin.conf but not noblecoin.conf.txt (.txt is usually hidden in win).

Great work Joe, now i like more how magipay site looks, much better than yesterday. Simpler the better i like "MagiPay" more than "m-Epays" in top left corner and withought "how magi pay work" graphics in bottom site looks more pro, in top of site "n" of "login" link is cutted off but only in Internet Explorer in Chrome and Firefox is fine. cheers Will take a look at "login" link is cut off issue, thanks for heads up.

Thanks friend; I will move some hash into the pool tomorrow and add the pool into OP.

also on the new noble wallet is not getting any connections, and when it fired up (loading it on a machine that has never had noble on it) it said it was loading the 1.1.0.3 version on the splash screen that shows up while the wallet is being installed. any thoughts??
***edit, I just shut it down and restarted it after it was installed and it still shows the same mismatched version number on the start up splash screen, and it still does not connect to anyone at all. so getting it up and running is impossible for me to go salvage my coins that I invested my hash and money into. Please some one message me or something if you know how to fix this.
What's the client version number shown in Help -> Debug window. I see it's v2.0.0.0 (mac os; never mind the version shown in splash screen)? If no connections, adding some nodes might work, try adding the following into the coin file: addnode=194.181.3.79 addnode=88.87.9.210 addnode=104.236.195.137 addnode=38.84.64.231 addnode=104.54.1.171 addnode=188.226.148.83 addnode=149.3.131.2 addnode=71.175.81.45 Edit, check if firewall blocks the connection, which is the case sometimes reported by people.
