5. NXT - 412 Mb
6. Dogecoin - 6 Gb
12. Nxttycoin - n/a, runs on NXT blockchain.

Others don't know.

Looks like the price is going back up again for some reason. Bought some cheap coins at under 7,000 sats and a couple even under 6,000 a while ago. Would have been nice if I bought a bit more but I'm not complaining. Smiley

You did good. Anything below 2 mln. satoshi is cheap, 2 mln. is when market cap of Bitcoin = market cap of NXT Smiley
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next coin to merge mine with ltc? on: September 13, 2014, 12:43:21 PM
Isn't it the other way around? It's Doge accepting hashrates from other Scrypt coins, including from Litecoin miners? So it makes other coins merge-mined with Doge.

Lol no dogecoin had to fork to be able to merge mine with litecoin.Every scrypt coin wiĺl die unless they merge mine with litecoin.

You got it wrong, LTC bag holder Smiley Dogecoin had to fork to introduce the auxPoW feature, that's true about the forking part. But read up on what that feature is. It allows other Scrypt coin pools to merge-mine Doges, not only Litecoin pools but whatever other Scrypt coins there are, they all now send their hashrate to Doge. Doge is the Scrypt coin to rule other Scrypt coins, Doge will use everyone's hashrate to its power, muahaha! Grin

It's not going to settle at anything, it will fluctuate, like any other coin. Or did you mean within a short time frame? Short time frames are not predictable. Don't play those unless you're a trader with years of experience. Selecting what's undervalued and hodling it for long term is the best strategy for most people.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wow Doge is exploding right now on: September 13, 2014, 12:10:07 PM
I am not understanding who is buying this coin? Volume is third of all coins, which is a lot... I get the community, but the community in general has no money. So what are any big players thinking on this right now.

I am actually a fan of Doge but more from the standpoint that I don't think the coin is going to go away, not sure if I think this current price increase has staying power.

Dogecoin is seriously undervalued, look at market cap. Either that, or Litecoin is seriously overvalued. Anybody who does investing semi-professionally can stack pros and cons of both and balance the weights against each other. These are relative valuations though. Both coins could be worth zero tomorrow, but related to each other there is a large disbalance in valuation. So when you ask who is buying Dogecoin, first ask who is buying Litecoin and why? Because it makes zero sense to buy Litecoin now when you have a better Scrypt coin (better = better in qualities and much undervalued, two main qualities are marketing achievements and activity of community). I believe LTC and Doge disbalance in valuations will not last long, their market caps will be equal, maybe they will be equal at $50m or $100m, no idea, but they have to be, disbalances of the market don't last forever.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wow Doge is exploding right now on: September 13, 2014, 11:55:11 AM
How is it that Litecoin miners are not just dumping their doge as they mine it, i am not understanding this run up. I thought it would be the opposite...

They may be dumping it alright, so what? The block reward is low now and not enough to overcome buying pressure. Well, it's too premature to say that the buying pressure is large, because price is rising slowly, but at some point bulls will be stopped for a while.

I am also not able to connect to peers and have no balance?

That's because there are few peers. The Qora community must provide a larger bounty to set up public nodes. 3k qora/week bounty doesn't even cover hosting expenses. 10k/week minimum bounty should be provided to grow the network of nodes and even that would barely cover hosting fees. Qora whales are waiting for the network to grow on its own, it's not gonna happen.

Yep, it is hard to have a balance.
I felt somehow bad for the ones who missed the price because the "whales" bought everything so fast.

Chris

Chris,

just don't create evolve3, because evolve2 is all bought up too already, let the market carry on from here Cheesy

Dogecoin hashrate spiked from 70 GH/s to 570 GH/s and keeps growing after auxPoW feature was introduced. The hashrate could soon be exactly the same as Litecoin's hashrate as pools can mine both coins without any trouble simultaneously. Which effectively makes all 51% FUDsters shut up. Now that the only advantage of Litecoin is gone, and now that it can never compete with Dogecoin's marketing advantages and huge active community, Litecoin's days are numbered. By the end of 2014 marketcaps of both will be equal, if not sooner.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 12, 2014, 12:53:29 PM
I am going to take this a step further, and say its a bad idea to invest in it.  You are now making an investment in someone elses coin selection, someone elses management (centralized) , someone elses technological idea.   Not within your own.   The point about (well now you dont need to research all these things) - if you are not researching what you are investing in then what the hell are you doing wasting your money ?

think about it.

peace.

This investment basically comes down to investing in James's vision. You don't need to know all the details. Invest a little in him or don't, that's all it comes down to.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][GEMS]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP OWNED BY THE USERS | Gems public sale | on: September 12, 2014, 12:50:13 PM
mmm... yeah..this is the way I think also. But still, it would be good to have more info for investors, just to be able to make more educated decision.

Well, think of it this way: GEMS app is trying to make Bitcoins popular, Nxtty app tries to make NXT popular. Depending on which crypto you believe more - invest in the respective app Smiley But they both basically try to achieve the same functions.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 12, 2014, 12:48:48 PM
True, I can diverse into anything I see ass successful... supernet is not one of those things for me unfortunately.  I don't get it.   I was really hoping someone here would be able to show me why it is useful.  I thought there was more to it... I guess not.

Guess not then. Maybe you just didn't throw your money into a trashcan. We'll find out sooner or later Smiley
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 12, 2014, 12:45:08 PM
What I am saying is WHY are you taking the marketcap AWAY from the coin you like most and throwing it into a supernet stock that represents something it has no way  / means to enforce.

Because you need to diversify your holdings?
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][GEMS]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP OWNED BY THE USERS | Gems public sale | on: September 12, 2014, 12:42:50 PM
What do you guys think of Nxttycoin project? Could someone make comparision between the two?

Only creators know all the details of their respective projects, and they would give a biased comparison. Bet on both horses.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 12, 2014, 12:31:34 PM
@bitcad4u,
my idea is SuperNET just gives you exposure to different coins and technologies it is going to incorporate without having to research and own them. You basically buy the index fund of SuperNET and let others worry about making it profitable. Which has its pros and cons. I wouldn't invest a whole bunch, but staying out of it could be missing an opportunity.

so, I am correct then that supernet is an umbrell company - an investment in supernet is an investment in umbrella corp, umbrella corps idea is to get friends within to cooperate and share, yet umbrella corp has no means or authority / protocols / laws to enforce the sharing?

Im out.  unless someone can give me better ideas as to why I should be in.   This whole thing sounds like a FAD.  Like poptarts, pogs, napster, furbys and fannypacks.

Sharing of what? SuperNET makes features of one coin accessible to other coins, decentrally. At least that's how it's explained. I only outlined the benefits from an investor's perspective. See torshammer's post above. But you may be right, maybe this idea won't fly, so don't invest a fortune.

799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: September 12, 2014, 11:39:56 AM
It doesn't solve any existing problems.

It doesn't have to.

Two guys were hiking through the jungle when they spotted a tiger who looked both hungry and fast. One of the guys reached into his pack and pulled out a pair of tennis shoes.

His friend looked at him “Do you really think those shoes are going to make you run faster than that tiger?”

I don’t have to run faster than that tiger, his friend replied. “I just have to run faster than you”.

I think your in the wrong thread.

I think not. What is killing Litecoin, do you think?
