781  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do We Owe Falllling an Apology? on: November 19, 2014, 10:55:37 PM
What, you think he's not still here?

I like how he posts from different usernames with varying typing styles.

Sometimes he's Indian, sometimes he somewhat intelligent, sometimes he shows a small hint of bullishness in an attempt to throw off the scent.

Fallling is still here...and we don't owe him an apology.

Most of you people haven't been around BTC long enough to know that this sort of "bear" market has already happened before...and will continue to happen. These "markets" are cyclical.

People on here make me want Bitcoin to fail with your get-rich-now expectations.

They banned the poor guy's IP. He's gone, and the people you're describing aren't fallling, they're entirely different posters who merely share a similar sentiment. You think he's the only guy in the world bearish on bitcoin?  Cheesy
I thought Theymos would only ever reveal IPs if police asked for it.

People forget that fallling started off as fonzie. And I am pretty sure deadcoin is fallling too
782  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will start a new rally? on: November 10, 2014, 12:11:23 PM
I ... just don't know.

I don't have the money, the balls and the crystal ball to help me get rich, so I guess I'll die trying. But... good luck to all of us!

BTC and actually all the altcoin's price are driven by something else, not only their innovation and the cost to mine them. They are not backed by something like gold. People will buy for different reasons (support, hope to get rich, ways to make business, ways to hide wealth, ...) and it's not clear what makes them at one point make the money flow in or out BTC. I would say that Silk road 2's problems would make the money flow out from BTC and go into anonymous cryptos. But hmm.. I may be very wrong.
Exactly.  The factors that influence bitcoin's price are very uncertain atm

Yes maybe bitcoin is this kind of hero that we are hoping so much to bring the world hope, wealth and power to the people, however, it may be our doom...  Cry

Bitcoin is the hero we deserve Cool
But not the one we need right now
786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2014, 06:52:19 AM

too stupid dont see...

basically he says that future currency is virtual fiat currency so bank can print without paper and ink, and bitcoiner are lunatic...

That's really all you got out of that?

oh yes the number of  bitoiner are so small and bitcoin decentralization is stupid and delusional cultist. i stop watching after that.
Having a news anchor defend Bitcoin shows how far we have come
787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 04, 2014, 07:32:25 PM

We would all be wealthy assholes, so why not?
This effect is proof that the willy bot did nothing.

If it was as simple as making a bot to drive the price up, the exchanges would have made another bot by now.

Choose the moon!

Just send to your new address if you are not comfortable using the import/export private key feature (under tools).

The next 34 seconds are crucial
791  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to create an exchange like crypsy or bittrex? on: October 29, 2014, 09:36:34 PM
You have two choices:
1) Become a world-class programmer
2) Pay Alphapoint $200k and 40% of your profits

Good luck!

793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trading to Astrology / Moon Cycles on: October 27, 2014, 11:07:56 AM
Had a skim. The data provided doesn't convince me, I'd like to see more than the limited period as an example. But since nature is cyclical and so are markets I suppose that there could be merit in the concept. Thanks for sharing! I love learning new obscure ideas.
I think it is spurious correlation rather than a trading strategy.

Kind of reminds be of monkeys beating the pros at stock picking;

794  Economy / Speculation / Trading to Astrology / Moon Cycles on: October 26, 2014, 06:44:40 PM
I have heard of a few people on here trading based on Astrology and Moon cycles.  I

If you are doing this, what is your strategy and how are you doing?  Any cool charts to share?

Shall I go long or short?
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found a Major Security Flaw on: October 25, 2014, 11:51:38 AM
The whole bitcoin is open source. If there is such a major flaw, you should let them know, and by them I mean the devs. It's no good reason to hide it, someday someone else will find it out eventually.

The OP title is probably misleading when posted in this sub forum. If you read further you'll see that the security flaw is not in Bitcoin but in the company's procedures.
Seems like he edited his original post after posting  Grin
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found a Major Security Flaw on: October 25, 2014, 11:42:56 AM
If you really found a security flaw you would be exploiting it, rather than revealing it  Cheesy
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.org now claiming to be "offical" site on: October 21, 2014, 11:11:04 AM
They probably have good intentions.  If they wanted to make a quick buck they would just sell the domain
799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is dead on: October 20, 2014, 09:07:55 PM
Yup Bitcoin CEO announced it earlier
