781  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 will not pay anyone for the last week /Sinbad campaign/ on: December 16, 2023, 09:57:15 AM
I feel like there's a loophole in signature campaign.
That's not a loophole, it's the risk of doing any business without contractual agreement.
If you don't want that, don't join the campaign. Or make a custom deal.

There can't be a loophole here, campaign signatures are not a rule of the forum, but a possibility. Each campaign has its own rules and they are determined by the owner & manager. And no one is obliged to participate in sig. campaign.

I merely stated a fact with which he brags himself: he managed the best paying campaign for 10 days. Is there anything incorrect about this statement?

Every manager does what he thinks is best and everyone will praise his campaigns and the way he runs them. It is quite to be expected that they claim that their campaign is the best, the most paid, the most...
I think that this is not only the case with managers but in almost every business.

Another thing you are doing is often changing and reducing payrates inside the same campaign, to everyone or to individuals.

This is not unique to one specific manager, I have seen similar cases in several campaigns. Here, for example, LoyceV had a special deal compared to the others in the last couple of campaigns. It is obvious to everyone and no one is discussing or asking about the conditions, why would we start such a discussion here?
Again, if you don't like someone's way of doing business, you simply ignore their offers.

Most people who was not accepted in that campaign should be very lucky considering everything that happened.
Receive the payment,  than be without any payment, and blame it all on mixer ban, perfect crime Grin

Closing a campaign is not unusual and until now it has not been the practice for managers to urgently secure a place in a new campaign for participants from a closed campaign. OK, it's not a bad thing, but there's no need to make too much drama about it.

I should conciliate with him? Conciliate what?

Maybe it's time for you to create a new topic in reputation, "Should Royse777 ...something...?"

783  Economy / Lending / Re: In Need of a $10k Loan, Collateral Available on: December 15, 2023, 05:39:23 PM
I will disclose domain name privately to lender.

Explain why you need to verify collateral only to the person issuing the loan.  The community as a whole is a better indicator of the collateral worth.

OP Ignores the fact that the collateral must be easy to resell. Sites worth $10k or more can't be sold that easily and of course need an evaluation of their value.
784  Economy / Reputation / Re: My Grandma is in a critical situation. Asking everyone for help. on: December 15, 2023, 11:21:23 AM
In any case, there shouldn't be any begging going on here as it's against the rules.  There was some talk if I remember correctly that yahoo62278's request for donations qualified as begging, but that seemed to pass muster--but if this isn't begging I don't know what is.

That's exactly how it was in Yahoo's case, in the end, the thread was locked and archived.

@ALL, they are right in their decision to ask me to take down the addresses. Let's not all get butthurt by them trying to protect the forum. The responses in this thread are less than desirable but That's not on any of you, just the people who made them. It shows that certain people have a low opinion of me and that is their right. Everyone does not have to like me. Locking the thread is a bit much IMO as it is all factual info.

There is also no need for theymos to comment. He hired the staff and stands by their opinion. That's how it should be. Rules are rules, LET IT BE.

@tjtonmoy I'm sorry for everything you're going through, I know exactly what it's about, I went through it with my father, but unfortunately, this is not the way and it's probably better to lock this thread by yourself than to wait for something more drastic from the moderator.
785  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov aka Symmetrick be in DT1? on: December 15, 2023, 11:12:38 AM
It it confirmed Royse777 paid in advance for someone who created so much drama? This would explain his absence for 4 days, he may never come back.

As I said, philipma1957 already wrote about his deal with Tumbler, so I assume that all three users highlighted above have at least a similar agreement. It was said in a completely different context, and I am somehow sure that philip would not invent such things.

Okay I have the 6 month 180 day deal set up with [banned mixer]

I need posts counted by you.

I added signature.

this is first post 43836

I will add avatar in a minute.

or
The ban cost me well over 3000 usd and frankly I support it.

Would have not wanted to lose my six month prepaid signature contract. Had to refund ⅔ of it. But I think towing the government line still needs to be done.

As for Rattrick, we will probably know his status only after January 1st.
I somehow think that he just rented his account, why should they miss such an opportunity to make money.

Of course, they will return the money because the promotion of the mixer will not be possible after 31.12

They will? I mean he. He will? Oo

There were three users with special status. Whether or not all of them want to return the money, I can't answer that.
786  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov aka Symmetrick be in DT1? on: December 15, 2023, 10:46:19 AM
I don't know if he was kicked out of the campaign at that point, but the campaign ended yesterday anyway.

He and two other members made a deal in that campaign outside the official campaign, probably directly with the owner. As far as I understood, they were even paid in advance (for several months), so the campaign's closing does not apply to them. Of course, they will return the money because the promotion of the mixer will not be possible after 31.12
I think philipma1957 wrote somewhere about his deal, and the manager confirmed it somehow.

Considering the new rules that will be applied from January 1st, the decision has been made that we will end the campaign on Bitcointalk, and it's effective from this announcement. You are free to remove the bio information. If anything changes then Tumbler management hopes to come back to this forum again.

787  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need to adjust my trust list on: December 15, 2023, 10:32:23 AM
This has gone off topic; I don't want to lock the thread.

You asked the other members to help you edit your trust list. I would say that the trust list is quite a personal matter and should depend exclusively on your judgment about other members. It can help you if someone points out a certain user and his possible "sins", but the final assessment is still up to you.
In the end, you'll have to do it yourself, checking one by one off your list.
788  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger library possibly compromised on: December 14, 2023, 06:03:57 PM
An official announcement was also published https://twitter.com/Ledger/status/1735326240658100414

Quote
FINAL TIMELINE AND UPDATE TO CUSTOMERS:

4:49pm CET:

Ledger Connect Kit genuine version 1.1.8 is being propagated now automatically. We recommend waiting 24 hours until using the Ledger Connect Kit again.

The investigation continues, here is the timeline of what we know about the exploit at this moment:

- This morning CET, a former Ledger Employee fell victim to a phishing attack that gained access to their NPMJS account.
- The attacker published a malicious version of the Ledger Connect Kit (affecting versions 1.1.5, 1.1.6, and 1.1.7). The malicious code used a rogue WalletConnect project to reroute funds to a hacker wallet.
- Ledger’s technology and security teams were alerted and a fix was deployed within 40 minutes of Ledger becoming aware. The malicious file was live for around 5 hours, however we believe the window where funds were drained was limited to a period of less than two hours.
- Ledger coordinated with
@WalletConnect
 who quickly disabled the the rogue project.
- The genuine and verified Ledger Connect Kit version 1.1.8 is now propagating and is safe to use.
- For builders who are developing and interacting with the Ledger Connect Kit code: connect-kit development team  on the NPM project are now read-only and can’t directly push the NPM package for safety reasons.
- We have internally rotated the secrets to publish on Ledger’s GitHub.
- Developers, please check again that you’re using the latest version, 1.1.8.
- Ledger, along with
@Walletconnect
 and our partners, have reported the bad actor’s wallet address. The address is now visible on
@chainalysis
.
@Tether_to
 has frozen the bad actor’s USDT.
- We remind you to always Clear Sign with your Ledger. What you see on the Ledger screen is what you actually sign. If you still need to blind sign, use an additional Ledger mint wallet or parse your transaction manually.
- We are actively talking with customers whose funds might have been affected, and working proactively to help those individuals at this time.
- We are filing a complaint and working with law enforcement on the investigation to find the attacker.
- We’re studying the exploit in order to avoid further attacks. We believe the attacker’s address where the funds were drained is here: 0x658729879fca881d9526480b82ae00efc54b5c2d

Thank you to
@WalletConnect
, @Tether_io,
@Chainalysis
,
@zachxbt
, and the whole community that helped us and continue to help us identify and solve this attack.

Security will always prevail with the help of the whole ecosystem.

I can't resist posting this edit of their bio

791  Other / Meta / Re: [proposal] forum subdomains on: December 14, 2023, 11:40:18 AM
This is not a bad suggestion at all. I think it would also mean a lot for local boards and simplifying the navigation.

But that's the thing... you can't make a (sub)domain redirect to some page *inside* the domain the way SMF is set up. With a normal website it's possible, but on the forum everything is generated by an index.php.

When you go to a board, the url is index.php?board=x.x . For a topic, it's something like index.php?topic=x.x with no board number. If someone clicks a link to some Bitcointalk topic and it were to show the appropriate subdomain in the address bar, the only way to do that would be to perform a database lookup, which will be expensive since there are almost 5.5 million topics as of now.

Adding a subdomain does not require any change in the code structure of the forum script. It's all about adding certain records as part of DNS settings. You will get the same result if you enter meta.bitcointalk.org (or even bitcointalk.org/meta) or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0 in your browser. It's just that this solution with the subdomains that franky1 suggests is much simpler for humans.
This does not mean that a subdomain should be created individually for each topic.

Feel relieved to know that I am not the only one who is facing the issue. Because last time there is similar kind of situation that occured only for me.

It's not just you, the bpip.org server is down and we won't know the severity of the problem until the devs announce what's going on. I saw earlier that BPIP browser extensions cannot collect data from there.

793  Other / Archival / Re: ➡️➡️ [ANN] | [banned mixer] | BITCOIN MIXER ⬅️⬅️ on: December 14, 2023, 10:33:37 AM
Will [banned mixer] have a solution to circumvent a looming mixer ban?

To begin with, you have to accept that businesses are not created with the purpose of running bounty campaigns on the Bitcointalk forum. Only a small part of the crypto business presented itself here, which is a confirmation that it is possible to do business even without a signature campaign. So it is not mandatory to make a plan to avoid the ban and the whole business adapts exclusively to the Bitcointalk forum.

As far as I can see, Tumbler has started promoting on other platforms, which is part of the strategy that excludes activities on this forum.
794  Economy / Lending / Re: In Need of a $10k Loan, Collateral Available on: December 13, 2023, 11:56:53 PM
Can you share here your site?
187k visitors per year it's not a big goal, and a lot depends on how your visitors come, whether they are organic visits or you paid for advertising somewhere. If at least some part is real visits, then you should have already monetized at least a small part and that would certainly facilitate your further development.
I'm pretty sure your site isn't worth $15,000 and you'll have a hard time getting a loan with it as collateral.

Check this calculator https://whattomine.com/gpus

Is the whattomine calculator relevant at all?
In comparison with some other alternatives, I have been getting completely different results on WTM for a long time. Or maybe it's just me misreading the information presented.
796  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 13, 2023, 10:48:30 PM
Likewise, you cannot mix coins on Mixtum, Webmixer, [banned mixer] without Jambler.

Just as you cannot visit Facebook without googling it?  Lmao.  You can access these mixers without Jambler.  Some of them are older than Jambler.

Is there any chance that before commenting, you can first inform yourself about what exactly Jambler offers and why we mention it in this discussion? Lmao. Also, do a little research on Jambler's relationship with the mixers mentioned above.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Start your TRON Business for Free it's a good opportunity to start this on: December 13, 2023, 12:11:24 PM
You try to be funny ok .. anyways Also

You are not funny at all, scammers here are not funny to anyone.

But to clarify, you created an account and came here to offer get-rich-quick schemes. At the same time, all you have behind you is a newly created account here and two Telegram groups with 4 and 20 subscribers.
There have been quite a few such attempts to extort money from scammers on this forum, some of them were much more sophisticated than yours. Fortunately, we all grew up here, so you'll have to look for victims elsewhere. Also, coming with alt accounts will not help you, but will only cause negative feedback on all connected accounts.

So, this is your stupid idea to get money, but that doesn't mean you can't be wise and stop this.

I will repost what inthelongrun says, there are never enough warnings about scammers.

Warning especially to newbies in crypto!

BEWARE! THIS IS A SCAM!
798  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 13, 2023, 11:52:42 AM
The OP was never interested in knowing the name of the mixer he allegedly lost $7 with while he was mixing. Or to make it more, when someone created a thread (especially Scam Accusation) and does not even provide any evidence it cannot be taken seriously.

He didn't even remember the name of the mixer, not that he followed any of their instructions. I think the most vital information is to know which mixer we are talking about, it's all speculation now. His whole theory that he came up with to spit on mixer services would fall apart if he were on a scam site.
799  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 13, 2023, 11:41:27 AM
[...]
Let me ask a rhetorical question... As an end user, can you mix your bitcoins using the Jambler website? No ... And this is the correct answer.

Likewise, you cannot mix coins on Mixtum, Webmixer, [banned mixer] without Jambler. If by some chance Jambler or any partner mixer from their list was under investigation or seized, it would reflect on all the others and probably at the same time they would all have the same fate.

Regardless of theymos' decision, this is also an interesting question for the authorities. Who is responsible here, the Jambler that provides the complete mixing service or the official mixer partner that only promotes that service?

If an exception is acceptable, Jambler does not mix directly under its name, but I do it masked behind several other brands/domains. Maybe other non-Jambler mixers could adopt this model in a way that promotes the software on which the mixer works. So we could have, for example, tumblersoft.io which is the parent of [banned mixer] mixer or Unidevs, which provides background support to ensure clean coins for Unijoin...

800  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: December 12, 2023, 09:00:18 PM
Where do we draw the line? In another case, theymos posted this:
I'd say that there's a 25% chance of him being the original
That was enough for several red tags.

I'm a little curious, but how is this percentage determined?
Is there an application for that, and what does the algorithm look like by which something abstractly like this is converted into percentages?

This was probably the fastest, steepest downfall of any well-established account, ever.

I can't believe he let what appeared to be a simple argument drag him all the way down to this level.

I also can't believe this thread has gone on for 19 pages, lol.

Yes, this was definitely an express self-destruction. The good thing is that he didn't put his hand in anyone's wallet, at least there are no such accusations. Of course, if we ignore the contest from which he withdrew his sponsorship, there is no abuse of exiting the high-rank level from this forum. About "ever", You've been here long enough to remember members like master-P or yogg who left their forum reputations with "fireworks".  Wink
