781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: News from Burnside and btc-tc on: December 09, 2014, 09:54:42 AM
Seems like he got off with barely more than a slap on the wrist. Which seems fair, considering he was clearly violating the law, yet remained honest with his customers.

Im mostly curious if the SEC will go after some of the issuers on btc-tc, many of which were not nearly as honest as Burnside. And when we can expect a statement regarding weexchange/bitfunder since its hard to imagine the SEC went after BTCTC while ignoring bitfunder.
782  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining / Any proof? on: December 09, 2014, 09:04:50 AM
Cloud mining sites seem so Ponzi to me, is there any company who shared out some 'real mining' photos to prove that they're really doing this business? Any proof about it?

Have a look here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0

As you  guessed, the vast majority can safely be assumed to be ponzi scams.
There are few legitimate offerings out there, and even fewer (if any) that make any financial sense.
783  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: TERABOX - Cheapest mining contracts - from 0.0012/Ghs! on: December 09, 2014, 08:46:34 AM
Hashie 1St generation, cloudminr.io, cloudmining.website... and a lot of other sites are not providing better proofs than terabox.

And all of those are ponzi scams too:

784  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: December 09, 2014, 08:38:44 AM
i Do think they were ripping me off but i mean to actually stop existing will be annoying.

Scammers tend to do that, you know, scam you only a little bit.
If a hacker gets hold of your wallet and private keys, its also very likely he will only steal like 20% and leave the rest for you.
785  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: December 09, 2014, 08:33:55 AM
If you are a party to this scam, Id suggest filing a complaint with the Saskatchewan Consumer Protection Division of the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority:

http://www.justice.gov.sk.ca/file-a-Complaint-with-cpb

Before doing so, Id start a thread to coordinate what exactly you will report and how to formulate it; its not like the form is designed for this kind of fraud, and who ever will be reading it may not know the first thing about bitcoin,  let alone mining. You'll need to give some context in a clear yet concise way.

FWIW, I recently filed a complaint to US' New Jersey buro of consumer protection in relation to another bitcoin ponzi scam (esoteric investments), and much to my surprise, they have been unbelievably responsive and the scam was closed in less than 2 weeks.
786  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloudmining 101 (spamfree thread) on: December 09, 2014, 08:01:01 AM

thx, added. I was inclined to give them half a point for referrals (at 1% thats not a huge red flag), but when I see "Days Online: 3 | Last update: Dec 9, 2014 | Started: Dec 6, 2014" its almost as if they dont mind you know its a ponzi, by touting you can still get in early.

Let me know if something changes.
787  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Rating System on: December 08, 2014, 10:22:10 PM
Longevity by itself is also a misguided criterion.  For a ponzi it merely shows how successful it has been in the past, and to some extend, how likely it is it will collapse soon.

Considering PBmining's apparent collapse, I dare say QED.

I am not sure they have collapsed (yet).  Not to say they won't collapse, but I got my payout on Sunday as usual and it seems to be about what I expected (.14 for 2 Ths).

You are giving advice and rating these ponzi's.. yet you actually invested in this?

Im lost for words.

Let me just say this: check your account now and do some math.
Then tell me again it hasnt imploded yet.
788  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] BIT-X.com | Exchange BTC, LTC, USD, EUR, GBP | Instantly Mine & Trade GH/s on: December 08, 2014, 08:35:01 PM
Couldn't find much about it other than 'mining provided by bitfury'.

It would also be good to have bitfury confirm your partnership in a press release of by posting here.
I cant give points for putting a bitfury logo on your site
789  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 08, 2014, 05:33:11 PM
The 0.15 happened on Dec 8 during the early morning hours.

How come it doesnt show up on the high/low bars?
Either way, its not like that price held for very long.
790  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 08, 2014, 04:32:29 PM
Should have waited, could have sold for 50% more. AM1 sits at 0.15BTC/share as we speak.

Are we looking at the same charts?

791  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CloudMining.website is offering 1 GHs @ 0.001 BTC | 5% affiliate commission on: December 08, 2014, 04:23:02 PM
Hey spaniard, you never replied to my bet proposal on pbmining. Im putting my money where my mouth is, instead of using my mouth to try to victimize more people for my own profit.
Will you do the same ? Cause Im offering the same bet for this ponzi too. If you really believe they are legit, lets put some btc in escrow.
792  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloudmining 101 (spamfree thread) on: December 08, 2014, 08:59:34 AM

Have you bothered to even read the OP, or are you just spamming your signature?
793  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: December 08, 2014, 08:51:41 AM
Id still like to know how AMhash would handle hashie running off with customers money. Who owns the hashrate, hashie or its customers? If the latter, how can people know hashie forwarded you the btc and/or credentials so you can honor the contract even in absence of hashie?

Also, do you know for sure the identity of the person(s)  behind hashie? Are you vouching for them being a legitimate business, and if not, who's (braindead) idea was it to use them as reseller?
794  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloudmining 101 (spamfree thread) on: December 08, 2014, 08:45:55 AM
What do you know about them? Glancing over their website, I can find some credentials that appear to check out, but only concern their trading business. I find pretty much nothing about their mining operation beyond a bitfury logo. Is there more?
795  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBMining Actuals on: December 08, 2014, 08:36:48 AM
He doesnt just unplug it, because he has recently been fully doxed and he is, quite literally, trying to buy time. He tried to run this anonymously and probably never planned for getting doxed.
796  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: TERABOX - Cheapest mining contracts - from 0.0012/Ghs! on: December 07, 2014, 10:44:54 PM

Yea, FAQ, I know what it says there, it doesn't say "5 year contracts" and then all assume it's another PB mining. It says what I explained. If you do not wish to sell it sooner it will expire after 5 years and this is a big difference.

Price at what we buy them back is some 5% less than cheapest current rate and consider this as maintenance fee. Sure there are expenses involved, it's decided that we do not wish to bother customers with this.

Hardware specs will not be discussed as I'm not allowed to talk about it yet. Miners will be available for sale, some limited amount and all info will be posted in January.
My understanding when reading posts here in this forum is that some people are never satisfied with given info. We have posted photos of miners and DC and this is whey more then any other company did. Now you want to know spec, mining addresses, if we give this info another person will ask if they can visit facility, then if they can take apart miner....seems this never ends as there will always be people sceptic about it....answer is simple...order a miner and do all your work yourself

Curious, how often did you invest a non trivial amount of money in a company that provided:
- no address, no verifiably identity of any kind
- no evidence of being in the business they claimed to be in (sorry some pics that no one can even identify as a miner dont prove a thing)
- no shred of evidence they have the product they are trying to sell, let alone the capacity

If you havent, why do you expect your customers to? Because its "whey more"  (its not) than other known scams, and "wheeeey" less than other known legitimate businesses that provide all of the above, and then some? I see less evidence of legitimacy here than in a typical Nigerian scam email.

this is what he has mined. in your opinion does it measure up to what he is expected to pay out on a weekly basis?

THats not what he mined. 98% of those coins dont even come from mining. There is like a few satoshi there from pools and 2 BTC from eligius. The rest is sales of contracts.
798  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: December 07, 2014, 05:40:40 PM
Does not matter, they probably switched the adress (#3 merged with #6, out at Mel) they are mining with because it was made public here in this thread since they want to remain anonymous.
They mined on eligius, thats a fact.

Oh they mined on btcguild and ghash as well. Enormous fractions of the money he paid out from that address:

BTCguild 0.000000022%
ghash.io  0.0000091128%

Maybe someone want to do that math and see if that adds up to 1 or 2 USB sticks, cause Im not sure;

799  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: December 07, 2014, 05:32:37 PM
You guys are to lazy to even do research, just trolling around. i said search for keyword eligius in this thread...
There was another eligius link as well in here i remember, but it does not seem to be still around.

All time total payout: 2.07953296 BTC

Mr. Troll and Puppet:

Before making more questioning here (You already made enough),
FIRST OF ALL, ABSOLVE THE QUESTIONS:
what is your earning here?, cui bono?, why so much effort in bringing down a business that never let us down?, just for the kindness of your heart?

Mr three post newbie, do we have to get your permission to post now?

My "earning" is anyone willing to accept my bet. The fact no one seems to want to, kinda proves our point doesnt it.
