reddit user have also problems.

thats why use p2pool...nobody...again...nobody will scam you

technically one could jack up the fee and change the code to hide it upon looking at /fee .

i forgot which pool and coin actually managed to set the fee to 95% and scam the users.

it was a long time ago.

think I remember something during the early altcoin onslaught , probably junkcoin or chncoin

It was ChinaCoin, the fee was 100%, and the scammer was carebear

783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: December 12, 2013, 09:21:37 AM
another odd thing is that recently i get a lot more rejects on this pool, it i mine LTC then my Reject rate is less than 1% but for this night my rate was almost 11% o.O

It's not the pool it depends on the coin currently being mined.

Rejects mostly occur when work starts on a new block, with bitcoin that's only every 10 minutes so very few, with litecoin at 2.5 minutes again it's low, but with some of the coins the pool mines with like fastcoin where a new block is every 12 seconds that means lots of rejects.

Don't worry about it too much, the level of rejects is taken into account when deciding if a coin is more profitable.
784  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB][UK] x1 powered risers (10) on: December 11, 2013, 09:00:36 PM
Good luck with that, been trying for last few days to source some.

Anyone who has them in the UK thinks they are worth £50 each !!  Some chinese suppliers are out of stock and the ones that aren't seem to think a fast delivery is sometime in the next month.

If you find some let me know, and I'll do the same.
785  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] btcolympus.com 28nm Hercules ~500 GH/s ASIC NO PREORDERS! on: December 10, 2013, 11:48:21 PM
okay, if i have read correctly you only have 25 units available in this public offering, i have spoke with the Nigerian and he is willing to buy all 25 miners, but he wanted to know if you accepted mugu guyman coins? the can be exchanged into btc using the 419.ng exchage.

if everything goes well the prince will be looking for another 419 units from you in the coming year

It seems your nigerian prince is very poor and would not be a good partner in this venture.

My nigerian prince on the other hand has just come into $12,000,000 (12 MILLION DOLLARS), which he has kindly agreed to share with me.  As soon as I get back from the Western Union office I expect the money will arrive shortly and I would be willing to purchase 419 batches of miners
786  Economy / Services / Re: Minersource.net & Miner Hosting LLC: Cheap and Secure Hosting and Sales! on: December 10, 2013, 07:17:29 PM
Could you make it so on the website it's possible to order the blackarrow hardware + hosting at the same time.

I'm in the UK, so easier to buy from you and have you host it, currently only allows you to select shipping.
787  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] btcolympus.com 28nm Hercules ~500 GH/s ASIC NO PREORDERS! on: December 10, 2013, 10:51:41 AM
Instead of delaying just post some damn photos of the units with heat problems. Or just undervolt them for better cooling and post photos/videos. Having no proof screams scam from 100 miles.

^^ This, signed up to the list just in case, but until such time as there is ANY evidence of actual hardware

788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 07, 2013, 08:45:50 PM
Something looks seriously wrong with the rate of return today. I have more KH today due to a new rig and am earning far far less than I even had before with half the KH rate. What is up? Is there a big drop in value for the altcoins we're mining?

I concur there is either a problem or the pool has been seriously unlucky today, balance is currently 0.01 when it should be around 0.07, big difference.

For those using the greasemonkey/tampermonkey script I noticed the changes to the website broke it slightly, this version is working for me

Code:
// ==UserScript==
// @name        Middlecoin
// @namespace   middlecoin
// @include     http://middlecoin.com/
// @include     http://www.middlecoin.com/
// @version     1
// @grant       none
// ==/UserScript==

var username = 'Insert your bitcoin address between these quotes';

    // get all rows excluding the first one and the one with your username
var rows = document.evaluate('//table/tbody/tr[position()>0 and not(contains(., "' + username + '"))]', document, null, 6, null), i;

for (i = 1; i < rows.snapshotLength; i += 1) {
    // hide all of them
    rows.snapshotItem(i).style.display = 'none';
}

It's not that important but unable to log in and view the miners anymore.

The ghash login takes you to the cex login which doesn't recognise the login/pass.

Both my own and the admin accounts to our GB works for me as usual, must be in your end.

Tried it in different browsers same result

The sign in link on ghash takes me to

https://cex.io/signin?return=/trade/ghash

Entering the username password just gives "invalid user name or password"
790  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1400 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: December 06, 2013, 10:42:52 AM
The reason auto payouts pay the amount you set are to keep your wallet clean of useless amounts (0.000xxxxx).  The logic being auto payouts are for if you plan to continue mining, so getting regular payouts it doesn't matter if the small bits are paid or not, and it just makes the wallet cleaner (less fragmentation/fees in the long run too).

I like this feature so bah humbug to the spamming git who sent me 0.0000001 and messed it up Smiley

792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 06, 2013, 10:29:01 AM
Seems sales have stalled for a bit.

Down to there are only 866/1500 Neptunes

I bought a single neptune, it's a huge gamble though with such a vague timeline, and not confident enough to buy more. That's $10,000 spent

The november jupiters are awesome, IF they had decided to do a december batch I'd have the confidence to purchase 10 given the short timeframe, proven design which would be $50,000 spent.

KNC should have just creamed the competition by producing monthly batches of the jupiter, worked on the neptune in the background and announced it when there was a better idea of the timeline. IMHO
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] www.MiningPool.co - Multi Coin Pool - Announcement / Update Thread on: December 05, 2013, 05:05:27 PM
Whenever I go to the dashboard, the addresses/threshold entries are always blank, I figured it must be storing them and just not displaying, but I've not been receiving payments so maybe it isn't

Same id as here. Thanks.

Are you sure you are pressing the 'update' button on each entry field? Have you tried using a different browser?

Seems to be a problem with chrome, works ok with IE *spit* Smiley

Also in chrome the information link doesn't work, nor do the buttons on the settings page to add pools to the dashboard

Once they are updated though IE they then appear in chrome ok.

HTH

Thanks for the very handy script.  It works in Chrome too with TamperMonkey.

The thanks go to Jriker1 he wrote it, that was just the only link I had Smiley

I think the website should be more optimised... I'd like to see how much I have earned instead of searching through thousands of people (Yes the CTRL+F in Chrome works). Plus, wouldn't retrieving EVERYBODY all at once just cause heavy load on the database? Especially if lots of people are wanting to view the page as well. Possibly a future improvement.

In the meantime....

Hmm, what if we use a portion of our profits (agreed upon by users) to purchase a KNC Jupiter unit?

What profits ?

Unless my payouts have been wrong we've only got back 1/3 of the investment and it's not going to climb much higher

Guess I won't be getting anything from them.

It gives me a nice warm glow when the warnings are heeded by newer members, congrats on a wise decision Smiley
