81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 28, 2016, 01:43:17 PM
I mined ethereum 1 months back with gtx 970. Accidentally my card becomes faulty and I had to stop all mining things. Last day I bought a 2nd hand 7950 (only 1 Tongue) and am mining with it. Although 7950 is cheaper, regarding mining ethereum, it performs almost same even better than gtx 970. My AMD 7950 is Dual X and it is super silent. I had no idea about AMD before as I am Nvidia fanboy, really appreciate the performance.

Right but a lot of you don't seem to be taking the energy costs into consideration which you should if you're paying for your own power.

Don't buy gold, buy ETH

How are you a 'creditor' - did you loan them money or are do they owe you goods that you paid for?

Dogie claims to be owed a substantial amount of money by SP-Tech for a referral campaign during the SP20 sales.

Anyone reading your recent posts might conclude that there is something very personal going on here between you and Spondoolies/Guy - did you perchance ask them for an 'evaluation' SP50 and they said no?

Dogie and Guy have a long-standing passive-aggressive catfight on the forum, it just escalated when dogie felt he was owed & denied payment from SP-T.

Also, buyers with cash in hand seem to have a hard enough (impossible?) time getting  SP50's in their possession, I wouldn't hold my breath for anyone getting an evaluation SP50 in this lifetime.
We have a dispute over affiliate commissions. Adam Allcock sued Spondoolies-Tech so I can't comment further.
After the dust will settle, I'll give my version of the events.

Guy

"version", isn't there a "truth" out there we can hear instead?

Do you guys even manufacture mining machines anymore?
84  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [lee group]1150$! The group buy of hosted bitmain S7 @4.73T online on 27th Jan!! on: February 24, 2016, 01:45:03 PM
He added the 2 compensation periods of 12 days per period.  So 24 days miners were not online for us but compensated + 2/21/16 - 3/20/16 30 days gives us the 54 days.

I was hoping to get a hosting cut on the compensated period to make up for the price we got locked in to when Bitmain lowered their later Batch prices.

This. Of course he compensated, but also did not have power cost for the miners. In the end this lowers our compensation to the PPS value - hosting. We could have earned more depending on the selected pool.

EDIT: Essentially what sky said.
Did ya'll pay hosting yet?

I paid

Got my hosting bill today... why do the two new S7s need to pay for 54 days? Is that to pay for the "hosting" we've had waiting for them to come online? Thanks.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bernie Sanders will use bitcoin for economic growth? on: February 16, 2016, 09:35:05 PM
If Bernie becomes president... money will flow out of the USA like crazy.

Offshore, Bitcoin and other such things.

Nah, he can't do shit on it's own (without congress' support), so he'll just play the good old "I tried my best to fulfil my promises, but they didn't let me..." card.

There's this thing called executive orders that have been abused and will continue to be in the future. Bernie needs money to pay for his promises.

89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: February 16, 2016, 05:41:55 PM
Ethereum mining is still profitable now. But it will not be if the difficulty rises too fast. Genesis mining has put more hash.

The difficulty is rising really quickly. It may be profitable today, but in one week it may not be the case. Starting the mining is something really costy, so having his investment back could be really hard, also, I doubt that Genenis Hash put any hash, and I think that it is just a kind of ponzi.

Yea red flag for me with genesis was when eth skyrocketed in price a few weeks ago and all of a sudden they were out of contracts.(that can mean two things. 1 it means they wanted to horde the hash for themselves or 2 they are running a fractional reserve operation with end game always with customer pissed off with lost coins!) They seem to have a load when price drops Wink  seen it too many times now.. been scammed by too many of them aswell.. Ones that we all thought were reputable and turned out to not be so..

Just ask yourselves this with any  cloud operation.. WHY would they want you to make the profit and not themselves?!!!!!  There is always some scheme to fuck over the customer with EVERY cloud operation,   Hell even Bitmain knew what they were doing .. They allow s3 s4 contracts to be sold all the while knowing they were going to throw whats turns out to be about 800 peta thus far since announce of s7 and increasing.. hell we just had a 20% diff jump and looking at another 15%.. which is about 300 peta added in a month!.. At this rate if you buy s7 now at hashnest and price doesn't go up.. the 40 % maintenance now will go to 80% and i'm betting that they hold off on throwing a bunch of hash on now so that they can make the play to fuck us by selling s7 up to halving on hashnest all the while knowing they will drive diff up after to squeeze them out of profit as well.. thus shutting you down.. this is all part of their game they are now playing with us miners. I have no doubt if bitfury is at 16 nm so will bitmain soon if not already!.. Dont become a victim like so many of us have!.. Clouds are scams.. hashnest only thing going for it is the ability to trade but thats not what the platform is intended for im no day trader! If that's the only way to make btc from mining on hashnest then i see it as a bad investment opportunity!

Best Regards
d57heinz

Yep and why can't you sell your contracts if they represent real power?
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 16, 2016, 05:40:34 PM
Good Bye ETH looks like the bubble just burst......just goes to show when the whales hype the coin its not worth jack shit......unfortunatly

If the bubble burst, the people who bought the GPUs recently to mine the Ethereum will lose. So so the cloud mining users.

Nope because those video cards hold value on eBay. Genesis buyers will be screwed by difficulty or price declines guaranteed.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: February 13, 2016, 11:05:39 PM
It looks like ethereum contracts are back...but I think now we are getting stiffed.  The price has more than doubled.  Before you could buy a 55 MH/s contract for under $1000 USD.  Now the cost is about $2420 USD.

Anyone else not liking this price change?  It is very suspicious how suddenly when the demand was high ethereum purchases were taken down and then come the price hike.

That's nuts. Buy yourself two R9 290s or 390s and you'll be able to mine at that speed and actually sell the cards later on to recover quite a bit of their purchase price cutting your "ROI" time in half or more.

Gee a lot of nubs posting in this thread about the POS stage... Orchestrated FUD?
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: February 13, 2016, 07:55:45 PM
What kind of messages would be here if bitcoin has hit a 1000 dollars for the last 6 months...

pfft, they would have found another way to null everyone's contracts ;\ it's their business model
dude, you prob lost as much if not more than 80% of people how can u shill for them so hard?
i GUARANTEE, if you would have put that money into another provider such as hashnest
and upgraded your hardware cloud-wise with them as is possible
you would have more btc in your pocket than you do today (we all would), AND STILL  own performing hash in the cloud
they nuke everything on here, (prob this too), and newcomers should stay away, that simple.
those who got burned of us know now, we will not be back (not me anyways)

I gotta say I believe you are right
94  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 11, 2016, 08:14:14 PM

Hitching your star to this I guess. Hardware ready yet?
95  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Bitfury 16 nm chips and board design on: February 10, 2016, 03:57:52 AM
I'm not opposed to working on a board design. Frankly I was wanting to do that anyway.

If someone trusted like you was in charge of the coins then count me in.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: February 09, 2016, 11:40:57 AM
Up to 2/7/2016...I knew this day would come eventually!  I am 168 days into a lifetime 1.5THs contract and it's down to paying $0.02 per day.  It's not dead yet but it's gasping for air. I paid 2.6310 BTC for this contract and I've collected 0.5438 in payouts from it and that's pretty much all I will ever see back.  I bought this contract as a test hoping to do more later on.  What a total waste of time and money.  If you are thinking of buying a cloud contract from Genesis because of their slick web site, do yourself a favor and just buy and hold BTC instead.

LOL, you are such a bad investor. Everybody ROI x10 here. Ask ZetaOS, he earn 10 times what he invested  Grin

But don't worry, your BTC are not really lost, they are in the pocket of somebody.

I warned everybody here, so I suppose you didn't believe me and today I just can laught Smiley

P.S. GM, if you delete once again my post I promise to open a topic to ask people how much they lose/win with your SCAM. Of course, ZetaOS and IanFoxley, your evangelists will be forbidden to post.

Genesis are selling lifetime contracts.  The contract says they have an option to terminate if no payout for 20 days.  Why is everybody assumng that they will exercise this option?  Termination is not automatic.

If GM deliberately terminate contracts that have only run for a few months, this will be very bad publicity for them.

Bitcoin mining profitability goes up and down.  I have no problem with waiting for my mining to be proitable again, but I do have a problem with GM just choosing to terminate my contract now.  I will take a big loss.

GM are selling these as lifetime contracts.  They must adhere to the spirit of these contracts and suspend payouts until the price/difficulty changes to our favour - as it surely will.

Lol it's automatic alright because we've seen it in the past already.
97  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: February 06, 2016, 08:46:28 PM
Board 1 just died in my batch 9

Had to unplug it as it would just cause it not to mine.

Who do I contact for warranty repair?

Bitmain, probably info@bitmaintech.com

Probably on some sort of Chinese vacation

Well I think this should teach people to wait and not be first at this point. Also, I don't plan on getting any more miners until halfing happens at this point. Time to just save up the BTC and see if the price rises enough to have made that a smart move... fingers crossed.

Not all the way down but I'm getting 3k out of 3 S7s...
100  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: February 05, 2016, 02:29:49 PM
Well it seems the world of crypto will finally start to fall like the scam it is. Not one honest mining operation out their. It seems BTC will be held by 3 to 4 private mines whilst the rest of you cocks will keep buying. Lets face it is one big player dumped BTC will be worth nothing.

so, assuming you're a paycon investor after reading your comment - how much did you blew in?

He's a shill from way back
