801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Exchange Explain How They Saved Their Users From Twitter Hackers on: July 24, 2020, 03:26:28 PM
While coinbase has done great in this particular incident, but you have to look at the flipside as well. A central business authority prevented users to use their own money for whatsoever reasons. For this incident, Coinbase deserves a thumbs up, but in general, someone else controlling your money in a nutshell and they have the power to decide when and where you can spend your own money!

Not being pessimistic but that's the reality.

Hoping that most of the exchange are responsible about its customers safety and monitoring of scam transactions.

Coinbase exchange will surely have a massive increase in its reputation as it prevented users to engage in a harmful scams where they will lose their money.

It is not only those victim's fault, but also Twitter's, their platform should be accountable about these scenarios where people don't feel any comfortableness in using their platform. I don't really believe that it is not their fault, scammers used a high profile personality that's why believing in that tweet is easy for those people who trust easily.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Limited escrow service for building self discipline. on: July 23, 2020, 06:11:52 PM
I can stop playing gambling whenever I want because I know that in gambling, the emotion will take part, including greediness, because of winning the games. But maybe that can help other members who need help from the escrow agent or members who use too big money to gamble. Make sure you can select the recommended escrow agent to handle your money.

Not all people can control themselves just like we do. I can also limit myself from those overspending of money in gambling because I only see myself releasing my stress to it.

Escrow can really help a lot of gamblers who are struggling overcome their addiction.

I don't really believe in the idea of "you can stop gambling immediately" without even looking for another source of entertainment or someone/something that will hold your money. Obviously if you are a gambling addict you will not control yourself easily from spending another money. So I think, escrow will guide most of those gamblers to stop and prevent themselves from wasting huge amount of money.
803  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money and beat up inflation rate? Options please! on: July 23, 2020, 05:37:00 PM
Depositing your money in your bank account will also work, but you can not expect a big return in one year or more because it has its calculation about giving the return to its members.

For me, IMO, bank will just help you cope up with those other expenses that isn't necessary.

It will help you to control your money, but I don't see it an effective way for us to beat up inflation because that's less likely to happen. Try to invest in those long-term investments and not only rely on the money that you have, you need to secure your future. Invest in cryptocurrencies and I'm pretty sure that most of us here have knowledge about the benefits of cryptocurrency in to your assets  and businesses. Don't always rely on those banks, it can help you, but you need to think of other possibilities for you to save and grow your money.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strengthening Property Rights of Bitcoin on: July 23, 2020, 04:34:10 PM
Moreover, we cannot deny that in the near future, our anonymity with cryptocurrency will slowly fade as we accept KYC verifications from local exchanges because of the need to obey from Governments's regulation. Who knows, but for me, I'm okay with it if the goal is wider adoption of crypto and a safer transaction environment. What's your opinion?
I agree with your opinion up to this point. I'm not okay at all with the fading of my privacy, even if it means BTC would become the worldwide currency. There shouldn't be such sacrifices we have to digest in order to have the adoption we need. When it comes to privacy, I'd much rather continue having Bitcoin exactly the same way we have it today adoption-wise than feeling constrained and constantly monitored/tracked while using it. If that's how the future looks, I guess we can call it a defeat in face of the govs.

I just hate it when I notice almost everyone around me would give up literally anything over a price bump. What's the point of having a huge BTC adoption if BTC will be forced not to be BTC anymore?

How can we achieve those safer transaction environment if the governments are still treating bitcoin as a source of scams?

Yes, we need to achieve wider adoption but it should starts with us. I'm also afraid about my future and the future of the entire cryptocurrency. Bitcoin being a decentralized currency is really hard to imagine, if our assets can't be used freely then it is a hassle for us, for our privacy, and safety. But no matter how long we hold a BTC, there's always some changes that we need to deal with and adapt in the future between cryptocurrency and the governments.
805  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please help me. on: July 22, 2020, 05:44:00 PM
Please, don't mind. I am not forbidding your children to go to good schools but everyone should spend according to their income.

That's also one of the reason why the budget is not enough, improper spending of money is the reason why you are suffering financially.

It is clearly your fault if you are having that kind of struggle, but you are also the one who can overcome it. Each and one of us have different kind of struggles in life, it depends on us on how can we cope with that depending on the circumstances.

Forgive me, You didn't mention anything aout your skills, In this forum you will find many part-time type income sources like Photoshop editing, video making, promotional art or banner making.

There are a lot of options here in this forum, there are plenty of sidelines where he can apply. But the question is, do he really have any skills or talent in making digital designs?

If you interested to invest on crypto market then at first you must have to achieve a good knowledge about crypto trading, Online trading is profitable but without proper skill it is tough to trade properly.

With those basic fundamentals skills and strategies in trading, that's enough for a beginner trader. But as you are trading from time to time, you need to become better and make yourself grow so that you can earn bigger profits.
806  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: July 22, 2020, 05:09:52 PM
It is sad to hear your story... But I think there should be something you can do to earn some extra bucks for living, right? This pandemic really affects our current world and it changes our life significantly.

It is not that easy to find another job nowadays, most of the businesses are also struggling. But it is much more effective if someone will make his own business just for him to have an enough budget for his necessities during quarantine. You can't please someone to hire you that easy, you also need to do extra effort and consistency.

We had no choice but to deal with this crisis, that's why it feels like it is a survival of the fittest. You also need to follow those protocols to while working and dealing with outside environment for you to prevent those diseases to infect you.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 22, 2020, 04:36:30 PM
It's already suspicious if they would ask you to send money first before you can receive money or if they will promise you to double that money.

That's obviously a scam, if someone tells you to do that. I guarantee you, that's a scam. It is not that easy to trust those offers as it is risky to send money to someone first. There's no such thing like that where they will multiply your money without even earning for themselves.

Scammers will always be there that's why it's important to educate others or those people around you about this kind of tricks because not everything they will see on the internet is real. Even those big and famous accounts from celebrities since they are prone to hacking.

But what if there's no one to inform them? People should not always rely on other individual to become enlightened about those scams.

Also hacking is not always a person's mistakes or problem. Usually, it is the platform that lacks security that's why hackers can enter those high profile accounts.
808  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any way to out of this insecurity? on: July 21, 2020, 11:51:53 AM
That's the importance of conducting some research first before accessing it or observing first the platform that you are using.

Crypto related websites, exchanges, or wallets, are really prone to those hackers because it involves money and assets, but you should also consider that they have their own level of security so that they can maintain their good reputation towards those cryptocurrency users. They are working on it so that those insecurities of other people, not only you, should be lessen and those popular exchanges or platforms are really doing their best for its customers to become comfortable while accessing a crypto related programs.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you estimate resilience of economy in your country? on: July 21, 2020, 11:19:07 AM
Do you think that your country has done everything to cope successfuly and rescue economy, support businesses and most vulnerable citizens or not?

Here in my country, I think not.

Our government authorities here are not that responsible in handling this pandemic that's why we are having a hard time to minimize the number of cases per day.
Government here is really corrupt and they are focusing on other political and social issues rather than this Covid-19 pandemic.

What do you think which country in the world will fight the economic crisis best?

Obviously, it is China, where the Covid-19 pandemic was started, and the number of cases in their country are very small compared to other countries right now that are almost in a 100,000+ active cases.
Chinese government managed to handle this pandemic properly that's why their businesses are now open and they started to operate again.

Also, they are the number 1 manufacturer of most of our goods and those PPEs that's why their economy is really alive and they don't experience economic crisis for so long.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin for Contract Killing" on: July 21, 2020, 10:49:30 AM
There is a probability that this is happening today, as criminals is really taking advantage of bitcoin's supposedly anonymity. And maybe one day we are going to hear this kind of scenario in the media.

Maybe, it is possibly happening right now but the media is focused on this pandemic that's why the happenings like that wasn't given an opportunity to be broadcast. Not all people are knowledgeable on what bitcoin is, and what are the benefits of it to us. If that really happened and this "bitcoin for contract killing scenario" was broadcasted, it will have a negative impact on bitcoin community.

But then again, this is not bitcoin's use case, its just criminals has seen the potential of exploiting bitcoin. Of course this could put bitcoin in bad light and in the spot light as tools being use by criminals. The same argument though can be used against fiat as well. So nothing new, if this 'imitates real life scenario", whether bitcoin or fiat is used.

Yeah, if any currency was used in "contract killing scenarios" like this, it will have a bad reputation to community and to the people who have a lot of money both cryptocurrency or fiat. That will make us hard to promote bitcoin by making good transactions, due to these illegal transactions like the OP was watched in Netflix.
811  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19's "New Normal" is Creating Opportunities in Crypto on: July 20, 2020, 12:01:45 PM
During this pandemic, while we are in a quarantine or lockdown, I manage to observe the market and wait for some movement in market price. I prioritize my bitcoin and ETH because they made me grow in using them in the market. This "New Normal" is not that easy to adapt, but what can we do if we have nothing against this pandemic but to prevent ourselves from getting them.

Digital currency or cryptocurrency is what we need and we should focus on right now.

Also, this quarantine will give us opportunity to explore more assets or altcoins that we never hold before. There are a lot of opportunities for us to make profits using other coins that can give us hope when we are still suffering from financial crisis. Hopefully, after this pandemic, we can promote the use of bitcoin and the cryptocurrency community should increase and grow more.

812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 20, 2020, 11:27:46 AM
Governments don't want it and they wish they could prevent it, because they cannot track you easily, they cannot tax you, they ..., they ..., they...
Governments like censorship, and there is 0% censorship on bitcoin.

Governments probably don't find bitcoin as an effective tool to help the economy of a country grow due to its volatility. As they can't collect taxes from bitcoin transactions, they can just benefit those local businesses and not on the centralized transactions. That's why they keep on keeping it illegal in some countries due to selfishness and not thinking of the government's benefits. It is really hard to trust government if those politicians are corrupt.

I like bitcoin, a lot. But I don't think that this world needs it. Except if they want to hide something. Prove me wrong.

We need bitcoin because it has the ability to secure our future, it can be a store of value and a source of profit depending on how you will make it grow with your hardwork and effort.
813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Twitter Accounts Hacked & Used to Scam People on: July 19, 2020, 05:47:54 PM
That's really shame for giant company like Twitter. Twitter is like haven for crypto currency users. From past few years we continuously seeing this kinda pathetic news. If this is going to happening every moment then people won't believe twitter anymore. They should shut down their platform and they should find out their lick and working on it. And people should stay away from any kinda Twitter giveaway for a while.

There's no such thing as a perfect platform and I want you to know that even those huge platforms also make mistakes.

I really don't understand is that, the security is the most important thing in a social media platform and still they don't value it very much.

But I know that in this circumstances, they learned a lot from this because this scams will costs a lot of money. Even those high profiles can also be scammed, criminals are really wise in using other people's identity to easily believe on what they are offering in a certain tweets. They don't need to shutdown their platform because their platform can make us updated on what is happening in our surroundings. They should just fix their problems immediately before this scammers can victimized more people.
814  Economy / Economics / Re: Doing an essay on Bitcoin, need ideas on: July 19, 2020, 04:59:14 PM
Try to scan the Bitcoin whitepaper it will help you to get ideas or additional information. Making an essay is a little bit difficult but if you're fluent in english then it would be easy just expand your opinions on you can compose your own words about bitcoin. Try also to search some articles about bitcoin and also the whole cryptocurrency.
I think the main purpose of creating bitcoin is like that, satoshi nakamoto wants to create a digital currency that cannot be controlled by others, so only those who have bitcoin can control it and can be used as the safest and fastest transaction solution.

Some bitcoin transactions are not safe due to those hackers that can enter a certain platform that you are using.

If you are really careful about sending a bitcoin in a right addresses then you will not have a problem in making transactions.

Also, I think the reason why Satoshi Nakamoto made this digital currency is for people to have an asset where they can benefit for life due to its importance and benefits in the economy. Although, it is volatile in the market, with the use of bitcoin, we should handle our asset carefully and we should know how to deal with the market effectively.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 19, 2020, 04:09:39 PM
That is funny. I agree with the OP that this should a lesson that we should not always follow and believe the expert's prediction or opinion. Any reactions of this from him these days?

This promotion of bitcoin can be a risky thing for John Mcafee, his faith and loyalty towards bitcoin is extremely strong and maybe he's also paid by some organizations.

For me, it is really hard to predict the price of bitcoin in the upcoming years due to its volatility in the market.

There are a lot of factors that can affect the price of bitcoin such as the those issues related to oil, politics, and etc. In this year 2020, for me, based on my observation, bitcoin didn't really have a huge increase in its price instead it has a stable price in $9000+ last month. I don't think that this is a good signal for us to have transactions because there is no positive movement in the price of bitcoin. Maybe, John Mcafee will probably regret his tweet because $9k is far different from $500k.
816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: July 18, 2020, 07:07:42 AM
100% is enough to start out day trading because it's better to start out with a little amount at the start albeit the damage goes through a touch it's possible to form a profit a day if you begin with 100% but if you've got enough knowledge about trading. However just in case of doing business keep an outsized account as long as you've got 400 long-term investments If the worth goes up you'll get double profit.

Your capital is not an important thing for you to focus, the important thing for you to do is to make it grow. No matter how much money you invest in trading, as long as you make it grow, as long as you are rooting for success. There are people who are investing even an 80% to start their trading journey and now they are earning profits.

Also, no matter how big or small your profit is, as long as you are earning instead of losing.
You just need to make sure that everything that happens to your asset is worth it and don't regret if you have a mistake and lose your money.

In trading, you need to learn and from small amount of money, you should benefit it until the end.
817  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea quarantines and burn their cash due to Coronavirus on: July 18, 2020, 05:33:43 AM
Maybe they think in that way it will reduce the number of infected cases in their country, and I think it helped. Because we all know that money is one of the dirtiest things and can be the carrier of the said or any viruses. They just showed that human life is still more important than anything else.

thats sick . are they too bright to think of that idea and they are the only one that think of it because others dont burned down thier fiats but they can be able to control the virus.  is south korea rich enough that they are only burning thier money ?  . its funny and proudful at the same time because they represent the saying that money is not important  . money is dirty because it circulates anywhere but like any other things money can be dis infected too with some of the know methods that i saw online. no need to burn it

It was really much better if the government is responsible for doing that. After a person deposits his money into the bank, then his savings should be in a digital form, so that the paper money can be burned without wasting it. You just waste the material but not the value of it.

In that case, they should engage in a more technological market where they will perform transactions using only digital money.

That should be their approach towards this Covid-19 pandemic, instead of paper money, they should allow the regulation of only digital money, so that cryptocurrency can be also promoted in their country.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning: crypto related twitter accounts (Binance, Bitcoin, TRON, &more) hacked on: July 18, 2020, 05:03:19 AM
This is such a massive account hacking to a high profile accounts, that even the personalities from the music industry was also included, and the political figures as well.
But, it's too dumb for the people to believe such fake generosity, that If you send Btc to a certain address it will return double. Most likely, a smart person's response would be like to confirm whether the tweet was legit or an account was being compromised by hackers.

When it comes to social media platforms, if you got hacked, no one is safe, no one is exempted. All of us can be possibly hacked because criminal people like those scammers will do anything just to earn money and fool people. There's no such thing that people will give you btc for free or they will double it instantly.

This is going to have a bad impact on Twitter in general.

They should improve their security more, because this events can make people who are accessing their platfrom to become scared to those hackers. They should prioritize the safety and security of the people because it can make a people's life become miserable due to scams and false tweets.
819  Other / Off-topic / Re: The New Normal on: July 17, 2020, 03:21:52 PM
New Normal is just a human experiment
If you watch tv media and read newspaper all the time than you are 100% infected with propaganda.
It is better if we look at real numbers and think with our own heads first, but I guess it is easier to just trust our good governments who only want good for the people  Tongue
Fear is making people doing some crazy things and giving up on freedom easy.

Our government here implemented a new normal that is not that effective based on my observations to minimize the increase in daily cases.

Before this pandemic started, with a small amount of Covid-19 cases, people are very afraid to this virus and people are not going outside to become safe. But then, when the Covid-19 cases is really huge, the government carry out this what we called "new normal".

Do you think that this is a good decision? To let people go outside even when the cases are still many and the rate of transmission is really fast. That's the reason why we are experiencing 2000+ increase in cases everyday, due to an improper planning of the authorities in this pandemic. What a shame.
820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance compared to other Crypto Exchange. on: July 16, 2020, 01:34:31 PM
...
High security and real volume trading are the advantages of Binance...
actually I have never used Bittrex so I can't say what I experienced but I actively use Binance, since I first used Binance 2 years ago, until now I have not found a personal problem, Binance is the best for me.

One of the most important features in a crypto exchange is its security.

People are looking for an exchange that prioritize the security of its customer to prevent having a bad reputation and to have more customers.

Binance will help you to become comfortable on their platform so that you will not be afraid of accessing their exchange. I know that there are also a lot of cryptocurrency exchange that has a high security, but Binance made me comfortable in my transactions. Also it has a lot of customers so that it is guaranteed for you to access it because there are a lot of trusted users here for so long.
