801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to the transaction fee? on: November 18, 2016, 05:36:26 PM
I don't think the tx fee would ever increase to as high as $10, but I'm not quite aware of the workings of why it has been going up in the first place besides the increase in transaction load. I'm worried more about the size of the blockchain growing faster than Moore's Law.
802  Economy / Goods / Re: [Price drop] Create secure paper wallets with an Ubuntu Live USB 0.025BTC each on: November 18, 2016, 05:31:48 PM
If someone knows how to use ubuntu to generate addresses offline, then they know how to use the deadass simple USB installer for ubuntu and they can make their own.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: November 18, 2016, 05:28:36 PM
Gambling isn't really like investing, maybe vice versa. Investing your EV is usually positive while gambling it's not.
804  Economy / Gambling / Re: What about an advanced Dice Game on: November 18, 2016, 05:27:42 PM
I was thinking if we can choose our custom numbers in dice games and bet on them.... then it would be very good.
However when i bet on Hi / Lo game i don't feel good when a number is popping in my mind
For Example : If i think 44.xx gonna come then i want to choose between 40.xx to 50.xx all the numbers and make a 10x or around that multiplier including House edge.
If any gambling website can do this thing then i am sure it will get popularity very easily.

there is no way for gambling website to do that, no one know what is coming, for high or for low. the chance for us is we still play to make sure what is coming out in that games. but the risk is if we make a wrong bet then we can get loss.
No, there's definitely a way for websites to do that. You just need to specify a range of numbers that you think the number will land in and your odds depend on the size of the range
805  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [1000 Bitcoins] Be a part of bitcoin history! on: November 17, 2016, 04:08:31 AM
So, it's only the billionth iteration of the million dollar homepage, nice. At least you've managed to get a couple advertisers on there already, that's a lot of money.
806  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How can I trust clients? on: November 16, 2016, 11:16:24 PM
The only way to really trust a client besides verifying the source code yourself is to just trust what other people have verified, or trust what others have trusted.
807  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [C#][Github] Watch Only Bitcoin Wallet. Keep track of balance and price. on: November 16, 2016, 11:08:15 PM
This is a nice project, I can respect your enthusiasm for coding. Remember that the more often you do it, the faster you'll get better.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: November 14, 2016, 12:41:48 AM
Just the idea that someone would risk jail time for a payment system is kind of looney. If the government said you would get five years in a federal prison (no parole) would you risk using PayPal? ApplePay? M-Pesa? Google Wallet? WePay? Braintree? Skrill? I understand they are different from Bitcoin but they are still just value transfer systems.

You're all making Bitcoin sound more like a sinister cult than a Peer-To-Peer Electronic Cash System.
I think the problem is a lot of outsiders view it as a sinister cult. Many uninformed people still think of it as what people use to buy drugs on the internet.
809  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Best Hardware Wallet on: November 13, 2016, 06:34:35 PM
I am planning on purchasing a hardware wallet and would like to know which is best to use? I am looking towards getting an trezor but i also know there is ledger (probably not wise since there is no input on the device to confirm transactions) and keepkey but dont know which would be best. If you use one of these three i listed, do you think it would be a good fit to use or should I use something else?
I just think you should make sure you have a reason to spend ~$100 on a hardware wallet when there are plenty of very secure methods out there already that don't require a purchase.

I am using Armory, but however when using armory you are restricted to the platforms it supports. I know i can have an offline wallet too, but im not always going to be around the machine that holds it, which is why i thought about having it offline completely with a hardware wallet. It might be worth it, the only risk is the device itself getting damaged or corrupted in a way that would destroy the private keys. I would have a backup, but other than that, its also one of the best ways to handle signing transactions. I do not trust my phone to hold my coins either lol.
If you have enough money to justify the purchase, then go for it. But remember that a lot of what you want to do can also be achieved with paper wallets.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese miners rejecting transactions from the US? on: November 13, 2016, 06:26:00 PM
The Miners are not mining to dominate the world, they are mining to make profits. The two biggest users of Bitcoin is the USA and China at the

moment, why would they stop accepting tx's from US users, and cut their profits in half, and possibly become unsustainable? Even if this was

possible, it would push business into the pockets of other nations/global miners.  Grin
That's a good point, if they do decide to start picking and choosing then it would quickly turn into a very bad situation for Bitcoin, meaning their large operations would be a bunch of useless hardware.
811  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Idea's needed for skill based gambling site. on: November 13, 2016, 06:23:53 PM
Skill based games are very hard to get balanced and even harder to make cheat-proof. You're better off finding another use of your time.

813  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: November 13, 2016, 06:18:15 PM
Faucet(0.00004300) to 0.3 in two weeks .. thx for the bacon!
The faucet limit per day is really bad for primedice players  Embarrassed
Could it possible be that there's a reason for the faucet limit? Maybe along the lines of "so PD doesn't go broke"?
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: November 13, 2016, 06:29:41 AM
Popping in here to throw in my two bits, I definitely think that if we plan to compete with China in mining power, we need to start finding our own cheap electricity. Until we have cheap electricity, we won't have mining in other places.
815  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: RewardsPlaza.com - Earn Bitcoins From Your Online Activities + CASH Bonus on: November 13, 2016, 06:13:42 AM
So is this like a paid-to type site, where you just whore yourself out to watch bad ads and take surveys that never work, or is there more to it?
816  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [PreLaunch] BitcoinBerry on: November 13, 2016, 05:55:05 AM
So it's like freebitco.in? There's already so many sites like it, I'm not sure how it could succeed.

819  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin-Denominated Poker Chips on: November 13, 2016, 12:09:29 AM
Chips have arrived, we're just waiting for the Holos

Viz
Those look pretty impressive, keep us up to date on what they look like when they're finished, I'm curious now.
820  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: a concept about creating high-security holograms for paper wallet. on: November 13, 2016, 12:07:22 AM
I would definitely be interested in secure hologram stickers, or something similar. Paper wallets are my favorite way to store bitcoin.

Check out

PaperSafe.org
Wow, those look pretty impressive. It looks like they're all sold out though, bummer.
