My goal is to build a global bitcoin-related business which employs hundreds if not thousands people  Grin

my goal is to build hundreds if not thousands of bitcoin-related businesses, which can be run by one person.

You need to be sure to make it clear that interest stops the moment BTCMax gets it's payout, I understand that, but shit stirrers might now

that is correct.

from what i understand, pirate will be sending the coins to me all at once... in 1 big transaction.

i'm going to be processing payouts one at a time anyway, to make sure no mistakes occur, so this will naturally be in order of USER ID# which basically means account age.

this process will likely take me a while, so even after pirate pays me, please don't expect your coins immediately... i'll get them done as fast as i can.

i still need to make sure account-ownership changes are up-to-date too.
When the coin comes in, would you mind posting that you received them, and that the balance you received, covers the balance of the outstanding accounts you have to be paid out?

I don't see where we need the number, but just an assurance that you have the full amount, so those of us who joined late, are reassured, that we're ok?

-- Smoov

sure, i can do that.
804  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 23, 2012, 12:55:57 AM
The payout order is important to determine the market value off the defaulted accounts.

The wherewithall is not able to be hidden anymore, so yes we are there already  and there are to

come more hythethical questions, one should get ones sleepless head around.

Cheers Zyk

Now that the original OP is drawn away and the FAQ too,  may there be some FAQ, how bitcoinmax handles

the passthrough of coins and in what order, if there  are coming any in from pirate as its heard that there are dripping some already....?

Are bitcoinmax lenders really all patsys Wink ?

Thanks Zyk

I agree with the coins that had it the account. I don't know how long it takes you to pass it thru, but if someone invested 100 coins an hour before the announcement and you still had them in your account before you knew about the closing, wouldnt it be the most ethical thing to send them right back?

the most ethical thing would be to stick to the terms of the agreement: 100% exposure, no insurance or guarantees. i think Vladimir quoted the original faq somewhere too.

I totally get it once they are out of your hands.. I guess we are talking about a pretty small number, so, its not that big of deal, to me anyways... I mean, to your knowledge where there any deposits refused and sent back? i guess thats what im really getting at... really after the announcement, according to pirate, he said that they would be returned..

i don't know if any BST deposits got returned, i didn't 'test' this myself as i had no reason to.
808  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 22, 2012, 09:41:25 PM
following on from the previous post, i just want to make one point clear:

your investment is 100% exposed to BST as soon as you send it to me, regardless of where the outputs of your actual transaction get spent.

whats are your take on to what kind of service BCST is providing to its clients and therefore the risk exposure to your buiseness and that of your lenders?

Cheers Zyk

P.S.  you mean if pirate goes bust you are free of returning principal ?

my take is that it works, so i don't really concern myself with trying to find out why it works. if pirate really wanted us to know, he'd tell us.

and yes i'm free of returning principal: your principal 'amount' is with BST.

an example of that would be let's say to start with i have 200 btc which i keep here:

BST wallet   100   i own 100% of these coins
My wallet   100   i own 100% of these coins

then, a bitcoinmax lender decides to invest 40 btc (sending it to MY wallet), the ownership changes immediately to:

BST wallet   100   i own 60 of these coins, and the bitcoinmax lender owns the other 40
My wallet   140   i own 100% of these coins

then if BST stops paying, i've lost 60 btc, and the bitcoinmax lender has lost 40 btc, even though the actual 40 bitcoins that he sent are still unspent in my own personal wallet.

809  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 22, 2012, 09:38:10 PM
if pirate doesnt pay up whats your plan for the coins your holding?

Its obvious, if hes holding any coins, they should go back to the person that sent them.. no one else...

perhaps it's not obvious, but if you've been paying attention to this thread, and to the rules of bitcoinmax, the *amount* you send is effectively tied up in BST immediately, even if the *coins* you send are still in my wallet.

i'll dig up the relevant post so people can get their head around this.

if you are SELLING an account, send a small amount (eg. 0.01022) from your current withdrawal address, to the buyer's withdrawal address, then PM me with this info.
This is what the sign message feature is for...

running 0.4.6 here at the moment... does QT enable you to easily verify a message?
No, you have to use the command line for that. However, you can now also just use Blockchain.info:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40264.msg1104041#msg1104041

great, in that case, they can sign a message with their current withdrawal address that says "please update address to: [buyer's address]".

opening this thread again, so people can discuss the buying/selling of accounts here if they need to.

if you are BUYING an account, give the seller your withdrawal address and PM me with the account name and your withdrawal address.

if you are SELLING an account, send a small amount (eg. 0.01022) from your current withdrawal address, to the buyer's withdrawal address, then PM me with this info.

This assumes everyone uses coin control or raw transactions. I don't think you can send coins from any address with the normal client.

Send all the coins in your wallet to your withdrawal address then send the coins forcing the coins to come from this address.

even with the normal client, it's possible with a bit of effort:

export the private key of your current withdrawal address.

start a fresh wallet, and import the private key of your current withdrawal address.

if empty, send a tiny amount to it and wait for it to confirm.

send to the new withdrawal address.

Yeah, close this thread Paybt.c, it's redundant.   Your customers can see what's going on in the site directly.  This thread is just a trolls playground now.

your wish is my command.

if any lenders have any questions, PM me.

cheers.

Sorry did I get that right? If pirate fails to pay you then you will not pay your investors? Grin

congratulations smoothie, you must have read the faq.
817  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 21, 2012, 03:30:03 AM
if pirate doesnt pay up whats your plan for the coins your holding?

hookers and blow.

as i've said all along, your exposure to BST is immediate upon sending coins, regardless of where actual tx input/outputs point to.

if BST fails, you lose.

there is a much more detailed explanation of how this works, in this thread somewhere, although finding it might take a while.
818  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 21, 2012, 02:33:18 AM
by the way, i hadn't run the interest script yet because i thought i was going to end up doing a lot of things manually this week, but i have now (after setting everyone's account to 100% reinvest) run the processing script.

so balances have been updated.

i've also changed the 5.1% back to 6.9.
819  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Valuation estimate for "Bit-Pay" ? on: August 21, 2012, 01:40:31 AM
i wouldn't know what to guess for the current val, but i'd guess that $60k to create (for 'dev' hours) might be lacking in areas of security.

i guess that's why spike said 'done right' it would be $200k... i think more than half of that would be focused on security.

ongoing costs would be a factor too... can't just have it up on some shared hostgator account Cheesy

As a major operator I don't understand why you would keep relevant info from all of us - clearly you customers would also like to know the total.

why is the total relevant?

if 'customers' feel that the total is relevant, they can PM me to discuss it.

if unrelated parties such as yourself feel that the total is relevant, get a girlfriend or find a hobby.

you seem to think that because you are uninformed, everybody must be uninformed Cheesy it's mainly just you.
