801  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies say no to Trading. on: August 16, 2023, 07:33:35 PM
It's the impression entirely for the whole market wherein they think that it's an easy going market and everyone will become rich because they're into crypto, Bitcoin.

While someone has to get an experience in order to get the idea of how trading works. Only start trading with an amount that you can afford to lose and if you're persistent enough to keep going, think of those losses as your enrolment fee to learn more.

And don't forget that it's not just trading is your only option to enter this market, you can choose to be an investor/hodler like everyone does.
802  Economy / Economics / Re: China Setting up mBridge against US Swift Ban on: August 16, 2023, 06:31:56 PM
I think I get it now on why did China first tested its CBDC even if it doesn't sound good that it's coming from them. They're the one that have been banning Bitcoin and ICOs before and there were tons of news from them a couple of years ago.

But with this mBridge, I think it all make sense that they're trying to skip on some major trades in order for them to overtake this sector.

We shall see if this is going to work well for most of the countries that are involved on this especially for China.

I just noticed that there is a team named Made in Philippines in SEA qualifiers. It is the released roster of Xerxia and reformed as Made in Philippines. I do not know this team but I think I have to support it since I am from Philippines. Cheesy

Yeah, I recognized them as well. Good luck, this is really a hard time for the SEA qualifiers.

One quick look and I noticed that the team isn't registered to Liquipedia all. Also, most of their players don't seem to be known to the majority of the Dota community so it remains to be seen whether they're someone who can go toe-to-toe against the current teams of SEA for the International.
I've known most of them since when there have been div 2 games and these names have became familiar to me. It's like they're also good players but in terms of achievement in the pro scene, it's always that their team disbands.

Still, good luck to them.

While another SEA team, Polaris had already chose not to participate in the TI qualifiers because they'll represent the country in the IESF World championships.

And on this tournament, I recognize some notable players that will play for their national team and that means that they won't participate as well on the TI qualifiers.
804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hey there Bitcointalkers! on: August 15, 2023, 10:41:52 AM
Welcome here bud, I hope you enjoy your stay here and you'll learn more.

I also saw it's a lending board and a marketplace, nothing I need for now but it's good that people that trust each other can make deals without anyone else involved.
It's a common P2P lending marketplace wherein, it's all about trust but not just that. If you're untrusted, the lender will require you a collateral unless he really trust you. And mostly for newbie ranks, you're barely trusted and that's why if you're legitimately trying to get a loan, don't expect that you'll get one without any valuable collateral to be offered.

The distinction of being approved is still on the decision of the lender.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin moving now? on: August 15, 2023, 09:17:32 AM
Overtime now it seem like bitcoin is lacking direction but from the look of things it has started gaining effectively price direction and this is going to going a long bullishly but am trying to ask why is moving now on the fact that dollar is rising extremely I thought that would affect the demand and supply of bitcoin.
Bitcoin has always been volatile, so you expect that it will move continuously. Sometimes, it is sluggish and sometimes it is too quickly. And that motion depends on the demand in the market.

Is this the green opportunity for us to buy or is going to return back after a while let me hear from you because have started calling to ask if they should buy base on the current bitcoin progress if is going to last. Do you think the price will continue voraciously by the day?
Nobody knows.

As long as you're determined whether this is the dip then you must decide for yourself if you want to buy. We're going near to the halving and that's one reason why everyone sees it going up soon.
806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Web3 wallet trading alternatives you recommend? on: August 14, 2023, 11:44:21 AM
With a wide variety of Web3 wallets in the market today, popular and widely-used wallets like Metamask, Trust Wallet etc have paved the way for an open and fair internet, but could they be all-sufficient?
I guess so, I am not into those but if those are the known wallets that supports web3 projects/tokens then that's what you must use.

But my sentiment on these, if you treat your assets highly and you want the best security then I'll choose to keep it on my hardware wallet. As long as it is supported by a hardware wallet.

As we know the innovations in this industry are boundless so I tend to tilt towards exploring options, recently alternating Metamask and BitKeep. What are your reviews about the later? and other reliable options you might suggest?
I don't know about bitkeep, I thought that you just mistyped it and talking about bitkey. Anyway, most wallets have their own cons and pros but since trust wallet was mentioned, you should think of it because just like the others it has got bad reviews.
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 14, 2023, 08:56:30 AM
Straight up bet on Lvl up against Nemiga. Im going to bet on Nigma to win whatever comes out as a winner from these two

Congratulations on this bet and if you ever bet for Nigma for the final qualifying match, Nigma Galaxy did won. I'll just give my thoughts about their matches.

They're struggling as usual on the first phase early of the game but I think that they're getting synchronized and keeping up with the rest. Kuro played supports that are good on this patch.

As they go in te main event, I wish them luck.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Earn Ethereum 1400% staking with AIETHS.com passive income on: August 14, 2023, 06:37:23 AM
Crazy returns for just a week.

We've got a saying about too good to be true offers and people must know that this isn't possible for an actual project that's going to operate for a long time.

This is also the reason why many think that crypto is like the easiest way to make money as these rich quick schemes are everywhere.

People, don't be gullible with such unbelieavable high guaranteed returns.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding Bitcoin confirmation on: August 14, 2023, 01:35:00 AM
I want to make this as a simple contribution to all bitcoin users.
The most people that needed it is new bitcoin users,
Always take not of blockchair that enable you know if you have in coming bitcoin or not before rais alarm that someone scammed or beings afraid of the delays.
I barely understand what you're trying to say here.

Sometimes it can take more than 10 hours to receive bitcoin transactions depends on the volume of transactions generally at the time you made yours
Yes, there's relation to the network's clogging and traffic for our transactions but it's all up to the fee adjustment. And a transaction might get stuck if you don't pay the fee that's recommended by the network.

secondly those of you that uses bitcoin atm machine, always not that after the sender has comfirm that he has transferred the bitcoins, And send receipt of confirmation, sometimes you may not receive and it not in blockchair, calm down and don’t panic tell the sender to call the Atm machine that he/she transferred the bitcoins from, sometimes they do this to prevent scam And so you can be sure of your payment.
I don't use a Bitcoin ATM but I haven't heard any problem on using them especially if the ATM is placed on a good and crowded location.

Much better to just do it the traditional way through exchanges and avoid high fees from these ATMs.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: August 13, 2023, 11:33:40 PM
Nakedness is somewhat popular in my local when someone can't handle the heat of being drunk.

There are reasons why patrollers or the casino management aren't too strict imposing penalties to these people. It's because they can potentially lose a client and if that guy is known to be a big time gambler to them, they will just let it pass and call that a day.

In the end, it's all about business for the casino and if there are irritated other customers, they'll just have to tell sorry for those affected gamblers by that toxic behavior of gambler.
811  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should we see bitcoin as? on: August 13, 2023, 10:35:21 PM
Whatever works for you choose it but for the majority here, we're into it as an investment. While many are earning Bitcoin but if you're too patient in looking into more opportunities that will pay in bitcoin, you're free to do it.

And when someone says about earning bitcoin full time or part time, trading is what comes to my mind quickly.

It is doable but the struggle that you'll feel is gonna be for real.
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would We Pay Taxes When We Don't Exchange Bitcoin for Fiat Anymore? on: August 12, 2023, 01:21:06 PM
A question arises: Would taxes still be applicable if a time comes when exchanging bitcoin for fiat is no longer necessary?
Depends on the law of the country.

If they've got specific ruling about Bitcoin exchanging it into fiat or just simply using Bitcoin to Bitcoin transaction going to the merchants, there can still be taxation on it.

I feel the senior but we can't do anything against with that because that's the permanent thing on this world. Whether we like it or not, in everywhere, there's tax.
813  Economy / Gambling / Re: MEGA:PARI | BTC GIVEAWAY IN GAMES AND ROUNDS 💸💸💸 on: August 12, 2023, 12:10:30 PM
That's a lot of nominations and I'm curious on how these nominations got you. Are they the ones reaching you or you're applying for those nominations? I don't know how it goes but being recognized and being nominated into those events whether they're grand, prestigious or not, it's still an achievement for you guys.
Congratulations!
Hey there! It's actually both! Usually, companies need to demonstrate their eligibility for the nominations. Then, independent judges create a shortlist of companies that will compete for the award.
Thanks, so that's what happens and it's quite a tough process that you'll have to go through sot hat you'll be nominated and becomes eligible for it.

We'll be showcasing our services at the SBC Summit Barcelona - SBC Awards 2023 will be held on its last day and the winners will be revealed.
Good luck with that, I don't really have an idea about these summits and awards meeting but congratulations in advance.
814  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 12, 2023, 06:05:12 AM
I will spread that half mil in all of them. Real estate and have my airbnb's rented and at the same time rental properties as well.

As for crypto, I'll try to make my own farm with a solar panel on it. Despite that I have been here for quite a while, I haven't owned yet a mining farm and that's why I'll buy ASICS with that.

And for a business, maybe I'll do something like dropshipping business and will get into it or any other business that I may be interested with. This is an actual diversification that everyone has to have.

Well at least you have idea when you invest on these three, but if I were going to invest. Maybe I will start with a little first on these three as alternate investment. For crypto I would just buy some BTC and would hodl them and for the business, maybe a little catering would do good but I'm not really good at cooking but my wife so I could just do the labor to help her and assist her. As for the real state, we also have the same interest with rental air bnb. Because here in the PH, it's popular to have rental places especially to the tourist spot. You could earn almost $1000 in just few months but of course just minus the needs for the air bnb. That is my main investment but for now, I would focus on crypto since I'm too busy to handle work plus havinga business.
That's necessary to at least have the idea when you're going to diversify your money. Not just with crypto but also in other sectors where you think that suits your risk appetite and investing techniques.

No doubt with rental properties, it's a universal investment where the property appreciates in value and if you want to rent it out, you'll also get passive income.

So, it's a win win investment for someone who wants to retain his wealth and at the same time have its valuation go high and also earn from it passively.
815  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a slap on the faces of patriotic citizens on: August 11, 2023, 07:08:47 PM
there is absolutely nothing wrong in critizing your leader. criticism is part of democracy but when you call your country a zoo and all sorts of names and regret being a citizen, you have crossed the redline.
I have seen a lot of this and this is more common to the younger generations that are like this. They're mocking their citizenships and just because they're able to move to another country and able to get a residency there, they're telling all shits of where the roots they've come from.

It's normal to criticize when you're seeing a lot of bad things going on. But it can't just turn into a better land on an instant, that's why I like those leaders that instead of taking time into making themselves good, they're showing what they're capable of and what they can do for their country.

I also have no problem with some people's vituperation and hate over there country but to suddenly decide to serve the same country you hate is hypocrisy of the highest order. and such people will have nothing to offer.they want to make use of the government to gain there own personal subscription, if appointed at the end. Because there are enemies of the country.
I think it's understandable and they don't have to choice, they don't have a place to go and it's easy to tell that they just have to move from here and there but not everyone is capable of that.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 11, 2023, 05:58:52 PM
Teased many times because I've passed on betting on a game for esports. While most of my friends got their own bets and won, I didn't bother but they did teased me and boasted me their profits. I don't really mind at all but it's too annoying when it doesn't look like it's gonna stop soon.

That's how it goes with peers, sometimes it's total fun and sometimes you just don't like it when they go against your boundaries looking that you're comfortable for them when don't. Just know the boundaries and you're still you and gambling with or without them.

You know what you're up to and what do you like when you gamble.

819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy e-sim with bitcoin on: August 10, 2023, 03:54:58 PM
Nice, if this is just a data-only sim. This is useful for those people that have contacts through their socials, even with or without number.

This is the kind of product that we want to see. Anyone who actually took and able to purchase this e-sim? An ideal data provider for those who travel frequently.

And not only that, can be paid with crypto. But hopefully, telcos and sim providers will consider it someday to pay load stuff, data and etc, with btc and cryptos.

820  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As an undergraduate, is it advisable to invest my trustfund in Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2023, 02:38:51 PM
I'm a student still studying, and I've been putting away some money from my trust fund over the last 3 years. Because money doesn't seem to buy as much as before in my country and maybe even everywhere, I'm thinking about what to do with my savings. I've been hearing about this thing called cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. People say you can buy Bitcoin and become really wealthy. Even one of my classmates told me the same thing.

I talked to my classmate, and he said I could learn about it on my own because there's a lot of information out there. That's how I ended up finding this forum. So, here's what I want to know: Is it a good idea if I use the money I've saved up from 3 years of my trust fund to buy Bitcoin?
I don't like it when someone introduced to Bitcoin as if it's a rich quick scheme. It wasn't introduced to me like that and it's more like a cyber thing and deep web shit when people talked about it.

I guess things have changed these days and the common thing that we'll understand about bitcoin is that it's a store of value and in short, an investment.

As a student, you need to weigh things and think of your priorities first. If you've got some spare money to invest then go. But make sure that it's not affecting your studies and tuitions.
