8022  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Searching for a debit card (ONLY POS) comparison on: August 08, 2017, 05:26:57 PM
Bitwala, Spectrocoin, Cryptopay, Advcash, Wirex, Coinbank, Xapo, Bitpay. All of them provide Visa cards which of course can be used at POS. You must know that there is a limit of 250$ after what, you will need a verification ID. And sadly, a lot of countries are restricted regarding getting access to the cards, so be sure to read the FAQ.

8024  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchange Unocoin to Repay Users After Account Thefts on: August 08, 2017, 12:41:35 PM
Well, it's what we call "responsibility" isn't? I don't think there are a lot of exchange/web wallet websites ready to take the same action if something happened to them. I believe it's a good action taken toward the people using it. We can only applaud Unocoin (...maybe less for the security xD)
8025  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Account Hacked - 2FA was active on: August 08, 2017, 12:29:38 PM
There is something I don't get in the original post. For outgoing transfers, we get an email verification with a link to click to confirm the transaction. Without this process, it's not possible. So how would it be possible without getting access to your own email.
Bittrex usually answer to support ticket in 24 hours average but tracking the IP is worthless because only an idiot village  would use his original IP without masking it
You do? Mine does not function like this at Bittrex - it does for a few other exchanges but not for Bittrex.. I should probably cruise through my settings pages and see if I can enable that. If not it should really be mandatory on the site.. kind of like a 3FA if you will.

I've been pulling my longer term holdings off of all exchanges, I get realllyyy nervous when I see a balance in an exchange over a few thousand $$$.

Yes, it's how it works for me. For every transfer outside Bittrex I receive an email for verification purpose and I need to click the link inside to allow the transfer otherwise it is not possible. It is a setting set by default so you shall have it enabled as well.
Also, you can use the "IP address whitelisting" so you can only place orders or withdraw funds from the IP listed.
And the "Withdrawal address whitelisting"  so you can only withdraw a specified crypto to the specified addresses you set

Edit: after checking quickly I have not found where it is possible to disable the email verification process. :/

8027  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Ptc Evo Scirpt & Addons on: August 08, 2017, 12:38:23 AM
There is no reseller license with PTC Evolution script, so you are not supposed to be able to sell this script, especially at 10$ when the cheapest is at 45$. The only place where you can purchase this script is at their own website on evolutionscript.com

8029  Other / Meta / Re: No more moderator in french on: August 07, 2017, 10:36:06 PM
Sorry for the spam... OP seems to think that I'm supposed to read all the topics and all the crap in our Altcoins sub!
From what i understand he is in the altcoins ANN translation business and doesn't like the spam generated from google translate poster in our local forum...

@JohnUser: there is a "Report to moderator" feature, you seem to have use it... 2 times since registration, I don't know what job your are doing but maybe it would be a good start?

It is your job to read and moderate no matter if you like it or not. yes, you can say there is the report button but you should know by now it is not always used because most of the time members just don't care to report something. Sure it's good and it helps a lot when members report what they think is needed to be moderated, but you can't rely 100% on members. And just to give an example today there is someone telling he tried the report 2 times without any action taken...
Suddenly you come back from a long inactivity...
When I open a topic to ask a feedback from others about the moderation, I am not looking for a reply from you coming from nowhere and telling about the report button. I knew there is a report button, trust me

The French forum is not moderated at the level it should be, to be honest, it is the disorder. As an example, people are/were posting ICO/Altcoin translated topics as they are paid to do it. That's fine but a lot of people were just posting text translated with tools such as google. (I wonder since how many times, weeks, months...) Some of them were not even French/francophone. A French user has spent a lot of time trying to clean the place, your job... We, French citizens/francophones, are so much tired with this. To tell the truth, we prefer going to read the English threads, instead to read broken french that we hardly understand
It creates a lot of frustration between French members and we can see some of them over reacting

The Altcoin section needs to be improved, with over +800 cryptos it is taking a higher interest recently. People asked to have a separate section, in a topic all posters replied yes such needed. Who is interested to visit the altcoin section to read topic such like "what is the best campaign to join" and so on. While before people were talking mining, technic, software, hardware...
When managing a community you can't really make it "as you like" you have to think about the users as well, what they like, what they want, what could be efficient, etc. After all, it is the users together who make a community.

In my opinion, I believe this is the job of the French Moderator. To Moderate what needs to be moderated. He logs in quite often but nothing is done. He hasn't been so much active since months (his last post is from May). He may be busy in his personal life and it's normal. But another Moderator or a second is really needed to clean the place.

Bonjour à tous.  Smiley

And how are you going to choose someone? Corruption always works, especially with money offered. I am afraid after some time the guy can start to look around a way to accept money without you see/check something is not clean in the project.
Don't you have someone in your team able to do this?
8034  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mistertango - Bitcoin friendly European Bank Account + free MasterCard on: August 07, 2017, 06:41:08 PM

Well, Mistertango operates under Lithuanian law and if the law says outdated ID document is not valid, don't think Mistertango alone could change here something.

<sarcasm> Really man thank you so much, I couldn't guess it alone </sarcasm>

If you took the time to read the topic, I was first asking if MisterTango is accepting ID cards like I was describing. Then @aesma replied to me that for example Italy wasn't aware of this and could turn French people around at the border. I then, in the discussion, replied to him that's it's not true and explained why. (There are no more borders in Europe since more than a decade by the way Cheesy)
In my last reply which you quoted I clearly said: "Since my previous post, I found that Lithuania is one of those countries refusing those outdated cards"
So trust me I can guess alone that MisterTango is not able to accept those cards

8036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cashing out to GBP on: August 07, 2017, 05:15:01 PM
Hi,

I haven't traded yet as I want to be able to understand this before buying coin. I can see exchanges make it very easy to purchases cryptocurrencies, but cashing out seems challenging, particularly for those in the UK.

What is the best way to cash out GBP? localbitcoins or bitcoin ATMs seem to charge the kind of transaction fees that people would laugh at if they were dealing in fiat currencies. From what I've read, traditional banks can block interactions with crypto-related activities (as well as charging huge fees to receive SEPA). I was looking at Revolut plus a payment service such as Paysera (to convert from EUR to GBP) as a method. Any thoughts or improvements on this method?

Thanks!

You may take a look at Cryptopay.me as they are from UK. It's a Bitcoin wallet website but they have this feature for bank withdrawals, so I assume they deal with £
edit: After checking their website, the process is done via SEPA. But if you didn't know the UK is part of the countries of the SEPA zone

8037  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you primarily manage and monitor your portfolio? on: August 07, 2017, 04:32:36 PM
Notepad... Cheesy I always have a notepad file open and write everything on it. I am not sure if it is efficient as I like to call a complete disorder, as nothing structured, everything mixed etc. I usually like a to keep in simple, but right now I need to have something else as a tool. I am so bad that I am not sure to know how to use google sheet lol.. I didn't know all those mentioned in the OP, so I will give it a look at some

I would not be surprised to see the Bitcoin value falling again in October/November, the same way we saw it in July loosing over 1000$ in some hours and then coming back to what it was. If the same situation happens again, it will mean we will have the value at 2000$. To be honest, I  won't be surprised to see a 500$ correction in the next following days
8039  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: At Only $500 on: August 07, 2017, 03:09:50 PM
It depends on how you trust the future of Bitcoin and what you can afford to lose.
If you are really confident with Bitcoin, you can continue to hold your coin and wait to see the value coming back to what it was. You know you won't lose something, it's just a matter of patience. How big the patience shall be is, of course, another story.
If you are on low budget and can't afford to lose some money it' better to join the selling market because we all have bills to pay and a family to feed. It's like gambling with a money you can't afford to lose.If you tell to your wife you can pay the next bills because you spent all in the casino. You know what's going to happen Cheesy
