Dear Poloniex.
How will you be compensating people that incur losses from the lag and inability to sell or buy , resulting from YOUR website & API problems over the past week!?!?

I am going to be honest with you and say you are going to have to bear with us for a few weeks. There is no quick fix as the changes we have to make to leonArdo to fix the memory leak run through the entire code base of leonArdo which means we need to change more than ten thousand lines of code.
While we are fairly sure we have found the solution, this is an incredible amount of work to get through and we are very light on the ground.
What does this mean? You could say fuck it, I'll wait until the fix comes in and hopefully Poloniex is back to normal and then continue using leonArdo. Or you are the braver sort and will push on through the current pain.
I really appreciate your patience. You guys are the best!
We will reward you with incredible new features and future bots.

It sometimes crashes just by itself, while I am away, that is true.
I also have the experience that the bots never recover after re-starting leonArdo, and I need to stop all bots, manually cancel the orders, and restart the bots.
If I do not manually remove the orders, here is what happens: After "resuming" a bot, the bot seems to "see" that an order is there and that it is linked to the bot (because if I stop the bot again, it will ask if I want to cancel the order too). However, if that order gets executed, the bot does _not_ place the following order. Nothing more happens. So, effectively, it is as if there is simply no running bot, just a single initial order.
It does take a while to restart everything by hand, indeed.
Same thing on mine too. It is crashing on two PCs. One instance of Leonardo on each.
On server runs 2 exchanges (Polo/BTCE) with 14 coins total and only about 10 active bots and about 20-30 open orders.
Specs of the server running the above :
Dual XEON X5650's (6-core each, 12core total), 48GB Ram total. Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
This time it's been running for about 3 hours and only using 729MB of ram.
Leonardo crashes randomly after an hour to a few hours. Seems to be that it crashes more as I make changes to orders and bots in quick succession.
The second PC running Leonardo that also crashes is an older Dell server with a Quad-Core Intel Q6600, 4GB Ram Windows 10 Pro also.
It only runs 1 exchange, 8 coins, 5-6 active bots and 16 open orders.
Crashes randomly with the runtime error I'll try to see about getting a screencap of the error next time.
I have not had any dual or multiple orders in a while, but that seemed to go away once Poloniex was back to 'semi-normal' . It is still not as good as BTCE.
Even with these issues, I still use it as it is very effective, but if it would be stable enough to be able to forget for a day or two, it'd be amazing. :-)

That is kind of effed up though. If you have thousands of accounts you can't hold them past 4 years then or you won't 'own' them anymore.. Hmm...
Guess there will be a huge sell off when the 4 year period comes close to PASC's start.

A LOT of people are pissed at them. The lag (people are not believing it was DDoS) and inability to trade for the most of the past 5 days has caused lots of losses. Mostly from shorts (which is funny because people who short should be shot anyways ), but still. A loss is a loss. |

Just stop with that DDoS is bull claim. If you actually knew what you were talking about and could tell when they were being attacked...it's not that hard. If you know you'r shit. You would realize it's a coordinated attack against all margin exchanges...Not just Polo

I bought an account on the new market. Got it very fast. Have not tried to sell any. Thanks, stupid question but where do I find the public key on my PASCWallet so I can setup an account on there? Not a stupid question. The wallet is not intuitive at all. Project>Private Keys>Export Public Key (highlight private key you want public key exported before clicking export public key). Thank you. I haven't used the wallet in a few weeks and forgot how it worked. A more simplified wallet would be godsent on this coin. |

People are leaving poloniex in masses. No wonder with the utter BS they are pulling. People can't even trade on there with the time-outs. It's bad.. Hopefully someone can pay them a visit personally and see if they are in the middle of shredding papers and the moving truck is in front of their office yet. |

I think all of this is causing the frequent crashing that started since 2 days ago on Leonardo across 2 high-end servers under windows.

I suggest everyone stop using any bots on Poloniex when they are overloaded. The DDos claim is utter bull. Their systems are always bogging down when they hit more than 35K users. there were almost 40K yesterday. It's down again today too. (still is). No API access is working and tons of people have lost money because of the lag/inability to cancel orders or cover short positions. Scary.
Unless they beef up their systems BIGTIME ASAP, a LOT of people will and are pulling their accounts off there for other exchanges. I might be doing the same too.
On the other hand, Leonardo works very well on GOOD exchanges. :-)
I was just going to say, I found 3 buy orders there for the same price. Looks like it couldn't cancel and just kept adding. Another idea instead of stopping trading is to take most of your coins and put them in margin or lending (if you're using margin.) You don't have to lend them out, but they'd be untouchable by the bot. I just set them at an extremely low buy or very high sell price using the manual trade. I stopped trading on polo for now as it is way too unstable. |
