841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: January 06, 2024, 04:48:44 AM
Anyone know the tokenomics of the token?

Not released yet, but supply is going to be 1B DYM.

Considering the fact that trading this coin is already available on Aevo at a price of $5 - https://app.auto.xyz/perpetual/dym then we can assume that approximately this price will be after listing on CEX. Of course, this price may change, since this is a market and the price is formed in accordance with supply and demand, but it is already pleasant that the price of DYM is measured in dollars, not cents.

Yes, I expected it to be dollars cause claimers are given 30-100 token per eligible chain. Less tokens given, more the price.

$Pyth was trading around 30c in OTC market on Kucoin before official listing, and it has been hovering around that price since, so I expect range of $4-$5 to be for DYM.

I'm gonna hold and stake portion of DYM, sell rest of it and buy $TIA to be eligible for airdrops allocated for it.
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking SushiSwap, RevokeCash, etc on: January 05, 2024, 11:03:31 AM
This incident was funny, people went to Revoke cash to secure themselves in case they were hacked, and doing so actually got them hacked. Good thing that dev took site offline as soon as he became aware of it, it saved many.

This incident also shows what lacking in the altcoin/token spaces, specifically, things that mentioned themselves as "decentralized platform". A truly decentralized platform should not rely on single and centralized library CDNs. On another hand, this proves that security measure is lacking among many applications.

Even decentralized blockchains like ethereum are not really decentralized as most of nodes are hosted on centralized cloud providers [1].

843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Are your Best Solana Wallets In 2024? on: January 05, 2024, 10:29:09 AM
I use Solflare now, used to use Phantom wallet prior, but recently there was hack that resulted in loss of funds for some of Phantom wallet users, although it was said that it wasn't Phantom related issue that resulted in loss but I decided to change nonetheless.
844  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: January 05, 2024, 09:50:28 AM
What a game of test cricket we have noticed today, the game got ended in just two days. I felt this was a big mistake by the South African management to create a pitch that is not friendly for batters. I was expecting the match to continue for 5 days, which did not happen. Good comeback by the Indian team they lost quite badly in the first test match, and they won quite convincingly in the second game. Why was Shiraj not given the due amount of overs today? He could have wrapped up the game before tea. Bhumrah got his own 6 wickets and as usual, this guy was consistent. Mukesh Kumar is a good bowler he needs to be selected more for international games by the selectors.
..And if you watched it closely, then you can observe that batting approach was not up to the mark for test match they're just concentrating on playing the ball, but the beauty is in leaving and defending the ball right?

First test had glimpse of test cricket from SA side but second one was played like odi. If selectors would hire test batter then we would see test cricket. India has lot of players, many aspiring to play for the county, they can hire different ones for each format. Not like BCCI has lose pockets either.

Iyer, Jaiswal should definitely stay away from test cricket.
845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 05, 2024, 04:47:05 AM
T20 group stages announced, details on Telegraph, here is quick image.

India and Pakistan in same group,  ICC never fails to cash in on that one. Kohli and Rohit have declared their willingness to be part of T20 wc squad, also players will monitored during IPL for their selection in wc squad.
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2024, 04:18:22 AM
It's fair to say this is the era of Siraj and Bumrah. If India had Mo Shami alongside this duo, the result could have been different. India might have won the series.
This is a great point. The trio of Bumrah, Siraj and Shami are outstanding in any format though I can understand why they chose Mukesh Kumar and Prasidh since they are training them for the future.

Shami was replaced due to injury, all bowlers you mentioned quite around same age, including Prasidh (27 yrs). Guys like Arshdeep Singh (24 yrs) are right candidates for training for future.

847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Some Passive Earning Opportunities On My Radar. on: January 05, 2024, 03:59:44 AM
It is easy because they're airdrops but it's way easier before that you don't have to do tasks before you will become eligible for it. Like with all of those forks and availability of those wallets that you are holding their main token or mainnet token and you'll be eligible for it.

I think I have replied to similar question before. If you keep using crypto normally, and if you strike some luck, airdrops are still natural and you don't have to do anything to earn them.

For example, I got some zkfair tokens, because I'm active on zksync, this was unexpected and I didn't anything to earn zkfair token specifically.

I find it similar to what you mentioned about forks. You are holding particular coin and fork gives airdrop to holders of that coin, here you do your usual crypto stuff and some coin decides to reward you for it. What's different?

Well, if you understand this thing called retroactive Airdrops like either the OP or someone mentioned above, and you read your comment again you will completely agree that you did something to be Airdrop ZKFair tokens which is: You were ACTIVE ON ZKSYNC. The difference is that you were not expecting to be Airdrop as reward for being active. Just so you know, there are people who have found out that being active on certain chain qualifies them to be eligible for airdrop and so they deliberately engage those chains as often as they can afford to for even higher reward. I hope you get my point.

I feel you are missing my point rather. Yes, there are people who deliberately engage with chains, but you don't have to become one of them, use chains normally without expecting anything and if luck strikes then it is still a normal airdrop received without any effort.

848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: January 04, 2024, 02:26:25 PM
Since airdrops have gone retroactive, all is speculation which ones will do airdrop and which ones won't.

This is thread to post your airdrop speculations.

I think best airdrops will be ethereum ecosystem airdrops

Eg :

1. Eigen layer
2. Swell network
3. Ether-fi

True, Ethereum ecosystem itself is gated cause it's expensive to interact with, this makes airdrops happening there confined to less number of people, making airdrops there worth significant.

Regarding projects you mentioned, to stake you had to pay $30-$50 in fees, how many would be willing to do that?

Quote
Also you can try out cosmos airdrops as well. Also keep stake the TIA. There is lot of airdrop will be checking the TIA staking as well

Except TIA, I'm doing that.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zksync ERA is here on: January 04, 2024, 02:19:50 PM
Rare day, right now, I also paid 7 cents, otherwise I used to pay 30-50c

My yesterday's transaction [1], I paid 41c. As I mentioned before, I go with whatever MM suggests me, and today it was 7c somehow. Can you check other transactions if it was same cheap fee there as well?

Of course, the cost of the transaction depends not only on the gas price, but also on the contract that you are executing.

I make only robots farm transaction every couple weeks, each time I have paid 30-50c, only today transaction was cheap (ie. 8 cents).

...Eligibility criteria summary: Stakers of $TIA, $OSMO, $ATOM, holders of stAtom, users of Ethereum L2 ecosystem, Solana users and holders of certain NFTs.

I checked all the available blockchains, but in the end I was only eligible for the Ethereum L2 ecosystem, despite the fact that I was active in other networks. As dimension reports in its X (Twitter), "298,439 claims so far! Substantial portion of unclaimed DYM will be distributed towards benefiting larger stakers of TIA and ATOM" - https://twitter.com/dymension/status/1742551352302030953

Yea, I'm active on Osmosis, yet was ineligible for it. Same case with Namada. Regarding update, MFahad has already mentioned it.
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zksync ERA is here on: January 04, 2024, 01:10:58 PM
However, in order for your wallet to be eligible, it is necessary to continue to perform the minimum number of interactions on the network, choosing a time for this when the cost of transactions on the network decreases. For example, the acquisition of a free ticket to https://robots.farm/airdrop/quests or sending an email on the service https://mail.dmail.ai it will cost you 5-10 cents.

I do robots.farm quests, yet I pay fee mentioned, are you sure it costs 5-10c for these transactions? If I choose custom fee, transaction fails, so I don't do manual tinkering, and go with what Metamask suggests.

I don't understand why you are paying such a high transaction fee. I just purchased a free ticket on the specified site at a gas cost of 21 Gwai and paid 7 cents for this transaction. To confirm my words, I attach a screenshot showing the exact time and cost of the transaction.

Bumping this so we could get discussion flowing, Arb is now close to $2, let's see how token unlock is gonna affect this, there are plenty this year [1]. If the market will be able to sustain the sell pressure of people dumping arb due to this event rather than new tokens being available to trade in market.

One more reason why I think Lamina1 will be a success is it's ticker, L1 just sounds lit to me.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 04, 2024, 11:43:51 AM
India wins the shortest test match in history (taking commentators word for it) with 7 wickets in hand and concludes the series with a draw. Good quick innings from Jaiswal, played to his nature, definitely helped a lot and put 36 all-out out of cards by time he got out.

Series should be at least 3 matches, so winner can be decided.

~
The match of India vs South Africa was almost win by India because the Indian team needed 4 runs to win and they just had a loss of 3 wickets but in the previous innings they also had the loss of 3 wickets and they made 153 runs but South African did bowling extremely well and they all out them on 153 runs so maybe their ballers again do this and if they did it so this match is unbelievable because some time India win and sometimes South African team had lead so now, lets see which team will win this match.
I do believe it will be India the winner in the end.

I wouldn't expect surreal fall like yesterday again, at least with batters coming on crease, in that inning except Jadeja all were bowlers.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 04, 2024, 10:23:38 AM
Yesterday Siraj, today Bumrah, Mukesh helped team with early breakthrough in second inning. Prasidh helped Markram make century  Tongue, Rohit didn't have him bowl since long, if he had no confidence in him, should have let him sit on bench.

India needs 79 runs to win, should be doable but you never know.

856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS BLOCKCHAIN on: January 04, 2024, 05:30:41 AM
EOS seems to be done for, no recent blog posts or tweets (and they have blocked the comments). Since Dan left, EOS appeared to have lost direction, not the first project that he left.

It's funny, none of blockchains that called themselves as Ethereum killers no longer exist/no one cares about them.
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You want to make USDT transaction, check transaction fee across chains on: January 04, 2024, 05:17:50 AM
Is the gas fee on ETH less than the Tron network? Last time I checked it was around $2 for the ERC20 transfer but now it decreased which means the ETH2.0 is succeeding. Roll Eyes

It's Tron which has gotten worse lately. Regarding ETH 2.0, It seems to be a prominent misconception that it has 'already' scaled Ethereum which is not the case, what we call ETH 2.0 is term used to signify improvement phases Ethereum is to go through in upcoming years, the first step was transition from PoW to PoS, which has happened.

Scaling is to happen down the road as sharding is implemented.

Quote
USDT on other networks has negligible fees but the liquidity is high on Ethereum and Tron compared to other chains so I would better keep USDT in either one of these chains so that when I need to convert I may not face problems.

I don't think liquidity matters unless you are converting millions worth crypto.

Zenland should have made exception for you.
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zksync ERA is here on: January 04, 2024, 04:02:11 AM
It's likely due to airdrop speculation, otherwise Zksync Era is expensive to use amongst all L2s. Just now, I paid 45 cents for transaction, and ETH is ~2400, ETH doubles and you will pay close to $1 USD per transaction.

I refuse this much fee which touts itself as scaling solution.

860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: January 04, 2024, 03:56:40 AM
You got TIA airdrop, Your wallet will be then eligible for many airdrops but you have done mistake by selling at low rate. imagine if you stake All TIA you would now be eligible for many airdrops (dimensions too) and your profit would be more than 2k$. I haven't received TIA otherwise I would definitely  hold half of my tokens.

Yep, I'm well aware of the mistake, but can't afford to go back with current $TIA price. Yes it did taught me to hold part of airdrop received, have followed that already with other airdrops received later on.

Quote
There is some updates from Dimensions team that new address has been added in the airdrop eligibility but still my wallet not eligible. Maybe I haven't used layer 2 chains.

Update specifically states they have added missing SOL and Atom addresses, these are not layer 2. If you weren't eligible for layer 2 then, this update made no difference there.
