8461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the value of 1 Bitcoin when you first mined/purchased? on: April 29, 2017, 02:40:00 PM
I can't forget the first time i purchased bitcoin. I bought them from a friend in exchange of paypal. The value was about 225$ and in the next following weeks the price was above 500$ about. I was feeling very lucky and very happy. I still hold those bitcoins since. Grin
8462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: April 29, 2017, 01:18:06 PM
There are a few people septics about the project, but it is still some time to prove itself. People were also septic when it was about bitcoin or any other cryptos, still there are successfull project. Still two weeks left and about half a million has been invested, so it means there is a quite interesting interest in Quantum
8463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When your friend that cut you up about bitcoin now wants you to hook him up... on: April 29, 2017, 01:05:01 PM
I have a few friends in this case, who now are interested in bitcoin. But they are only interested because of the possible profits that can be done. I am not interested to talk with them about this, but prefer to explain them what are the pros and cons to use cryptocurrencies compared to traditionnal money. And i surely not going to tell them to buy bitcoin to make profits "quick". I prefer they make their own due dilligence. In case the price decrase, i don't want to be responsible for their potential lost lol.
8464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange Bitcoin, USDT, USD and EUR? on: April 29, 2017, 09:09:32 AM
Hi
kraken  is good for european citizens. Of course you can exchange your bitcoin with euros, some others altcoins too can be traded there. If you want to cash out then your Bitcoins. You can get a SEPA transfer from Kraken within 24 hours (or less) the fees are 0.09cts to cashout with SEPA. You need to be verified tier 2, but it's easy and doesn't need to send any documents. Most europeans use Kraken
8465  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitfinex?! What the hell!? on: April 28, 2017, 06:16:04 PM
 I do not understand why the entire planet continues to deal with institutions that are governed by a State which makes very difficult.Especially if it is to make simple transfers. Never trust all these platforms. Yet the so-called report on the hack of 120000 bitcoin of last year. Almost a year after we still have anything. The best thing to do is to keep your bitcoin on a wallet hardware
8466  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay Bitcoin Debit card + Giveaway on: April 28, 2017, 05:38:21 PM
Got an email yesterday, in hope it is a joke ? Telling me that due to new requirements affecting providers of payment services, you add a new limit for all residents and french citizens, non-verified. As of May 1, 2017, my account and my identity must be verified by your compliance department. Why do you have to obey to this you're not a french company? Who is going to trust me if my id card date is expired but it is still a valid id card since the french gov added 5 years to cards previously made...It's not that i don't want to be verified, but due to this i am not sure my verification will be accepted.

Hello,

Please be informed that we have to comply with the updated French policies regardless of the country we are based at. Sorry for the inconvenience! Please contact our Compliance Team via the Live Chat on Cryptopay.me and they will do their best to help you with the verification process.

Nah you don't have to be sorry, the french gov should. I sent the documents asked (id card, proof of adress). I will wait to see the verification refused and then try to explain that my ID card is still valid since the french gov added 5 years to cards previously made 2014. I usually have no success to be accepted with a foreign site, due to this.
thanks
8467  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex or Bittrex on: April 28, 2017, 05:18:38 PM
I prefer myself Bittrex over Poloniex. There is not any particular reason, it's just that the Poloniex UI hurt my eyes.It is confusing that you don't know where to put your eyes. Bittrex is also the first exchange I used and I am happy with it. I don't like to change specially when all is working good. So i stick with Bitrrex personnaly

Hi there, it may be a stupid question, but i downloaded this wallet 3-4 days ago about, and it doesn't sync. And it shows zero connection active to Solariscoin. So at the end i am not able to use the wallet. Any help and explantion will be appreciated xD

@LeGaulois , Welcome on board  !  Please  try start wallet then wait few minutes.  If doesn't sync  you need setup solariscoin.conf.

Close wallet first  , then edit your solariscoin.conf  ( the config file for the Solariscoin wallet is located at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\solariscoin

Code:
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=18921
rpcuser=USER
rpcpassword=PASSWD
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
mining=1
addnode=185.183.99.171
addnode=185.183.99.19

thank you for the welcome  Smiley so i followed the path you told me but this is what there is. I don't find the solariscoin.conf
edit: It's ok now, i have created a solariscoin.conf and transfered in the path you mentionned above. Now the wallet is syncing correctly, all is good, thanks for the help

8469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: April 27, 2017, 12:16:31 PM
35% of US citizens are ok for a cashless society, 40% of transactions are done using a debt card. And the percentages keep growing. So it mean people are interested by the solutions given like cards, mobil wallet, ect. Bitcoin can also be a solution for a cashless society, so bank may adapt it in their solution, otherwise they can risk to lost a lot of transactions and so customers if they don't adapt their method to the new generation.

8472  Economy / Economics / Re: The Belgian Minister of justice proposed to confiscate all cryptocurrencies on: April 25, 2017, 11:55:33 PM
References or it didn't happen.  I get most of my crypto news from this forum, and I believe absolutely NONE of it unless there's a link involved somewhere.

But I have to laugh.  How's any government going to "confiscate all cryptocurrencies"?  Good luck with that one, I'll believe it when I see it.

https://themerkle.com/belgian-minster-of-justice-plans-to-crack-down-on-bitcoin-activity/

The guy doesn't understand the concept of cryptocurrencies, he think it is  possible to confiscate coins, his only opinion is that it facilitate illegal activities ect. Be sure if you ask him how it works he won't be able to tell you anything about crypto

@Turing
No Belgium is a country, and Holland is not a country by the way
8473  Economy / Speculation / Re: War is coming on: April 25, 2017, 09:18:28 PM
Trump is mental ill, and it's not me who say it, it is doctors specialist. Why do you guys keep to continue believing US medias ? Specially when you know they lie. I know what kind of shit they make you drink. Now you are in trouble with this guy, and believe it or not, he doesn't give a shit to the citizens. If you read the book "Manufacturing Consent" from Noam Chomsky, you won't watch TV anymore LOL... Good luck with Trump !

I think yes all this drama will have an impact on the bitcoin value. As well there is the french election currently wich can also make something to the bitcoin value, I know there are lot of people waiting this to see what's going to happen

Look the contradiction on your post. You believe the doctor "specialist" announced by the media as an irrefutable fact, but accuses who endorses Trump to be manipulated by the same media?

I know the big media lies, that is one of the reasons to endorse Trump and any other who has courage to challenge mainstream corporations and forces of this world. The internet is here to help us find informations the media doesn't say.

The old leftist attempt to intimidate people by saying "don't watch TV" doesn't work anymore, the information now is decentralized and it's on the internet.

It has not been on the medias first. Medias republished the story but nice try...Tv make the human brain dirty. Most humans are too weak to not be affected by the TV. Brief better to stay on topic as to will a possible war will affect the bitcoin price...

This + That can make the bitcoin value higher

8475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e might have been compromised on: April 25, 2017, 04:21:09 PM
I created an account at BTC-e last year, around November or December. Few hours later the account was compromised. The email I used in not used in another place related to crypto and the password was 20 characters, mixing numbers, symbols, ect wich I don't think it is a "weak" password. So it was the first time and will be the last time I use BTC-e

Now that's strange, did you check for keyloggers or such back then?
Yes I checked everything I can and nothing found, as well using my bank account, paypal and social media or any site with log in details, none of them were compromised this day... My BTC-e account is the only thing that has been hijacked, nothing else. When you create an account in something related to money and then you see some hours later the account has been used by someone else, it's enough for me to not come back.
I know some hackers use Brute force method to guess the password, but guessing the email of the customers is something really amazing

Have you hear the news about Malta ready to embrace Bitcoin and Blockchain ?  Grin It's not my country but I am really happy to see a country not so closed mind. Who know if some others countries will follow if they see positive results. Malta is going to attract some Fintech companies with this news.
8478  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: April 25, 2017, 02:16:56 PM
@MtinS
Probably your account has been hijacked. Otherwise you would not be the only one with such problem and the day it happens it will be all over the web in less 24 hours xD. I was going to say you change your PIN in the Advcash website, but I checked and we can't and their FAQ say it can be done with ATM machines. So far I have never meet an ATM machine where I was able to change PIN from any card...

@alani123
Come one, you can't move in your quarantine a site because one or two guys have a bad exeprience with the site. Specially when it's their own mistake, at least in look, like the case of @MtinS. Otherwise you can put everything in quarantine .

How long it takes to get your documents approved with them? I may be interested, I heard good about them some weeks ago.
8480  Economy / Services / Re: Dygits.io Twitter Campaign | Earn BTC just by completing a simple task | [OPEN] on: April 24, 2017, 06:11:18 PM
When we can post second time tweet?
Do we need to wait seven days, or we need to wait round two for this task?
There is no second round for this campaign but you can only use two accounts. You can tweet and retweet using your two different profiles at the same time if you can do so.

Obviously you did not read rules carefully from OP

Quote
IMPORTANT RULES
1. You should be atleast a " Jr. member" or above to be able to join and receive payment.
2. Negative trusted members are not allowed.
3. You should have atleast 800 real followers or above to be eligible for the payment.
4. One person can claim only TWICE with two different twitter accounts.

p.s. received payments. thanks

I understand like:
One person can claim only TWICE, with two different twitter accounts.
(see the ponctuation)

The OP wanted to say, you can claim twice if you have 2 different twitter accounts... That's how i understood it
