861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We discuss the prospects of an LTC based FPGA. on: July 09, 2013, 03:52:07 AM
With what Damnsammit said, that makes a lot of sense. However the key to it being a hit would be its ability to have an ROI worth investing. I wish these boards could just easily integrate some GDDR5 and we'd be set.

GDDR5 is not necessary for the fpga to be capable of mining scrypt efficiently. Any fpga we produce or anyone else for that matter will likely have ddr3 on their boards.

Its been a while ....any rough ball park figures on what the performance specs may be Huh

If you can ...it would be good to start doing the mental excel spreadsheet stuff

Currently have ~ 50m and hit the capacity in regards to my solar setup ... any more would be at 100% power costs and thats not where I want to be going Sad

No final numbers yet. But we are aiming to beat 10khs/w and so far we are winning that battle Cheesy

Wait. So you are saying that not buying one is a option?

864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scrypt ASIC on: July 08, 2013, 09:24:35 PM
FPGA = Re-programmable
ASIC = Not

Read through the thread in my signature, there is a decent amount of discussion on the subject.

Is it really getting hammered?  I didn't see it posted on CNN or anything.

Competition would be my assumption are hitting it.
866  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Ann] US based Avalon ASIC chips and assembly: 4,600 remaining on: July 08, 2013, 08:24:28 PM
Just delete the quotes so it doesnt get hammered more.

We shall see soon enough. The intent is to save vs energy consumption as you pointed out. Then continue optimization further after that.
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We discuss the prospects of an LTC based FPGA. on: July 08, 2013, 07:24:59 PM
Personally, I'm very skeptical that this will ever happen, and if it does, we're looking at least 3 years.

Anyone have any opinions on LTC based FPGA's or Asics? Will it happen soon? Long time from now? Never?

This guy seems to think he can pull it off:

People can speculate all they want.

It is simple: I have never scammed anyone on this forum nor any forum. Nor do I ever intend to.

Your personal information is not for me. It is for the security of your order being delivered. If I dont have registered mail in place then your package goes lost, then there is another thing to cry about.

I figured the best bet is to do what Mike does (Casascius), require registered mail so there is no funny business in the shipment process. Then once the package is confirmed I then fund the coins.

Simple really.  Smiley

stop bitching about the shipping guys...
Sure registered mail is great, as long as coins are actually shipped in the first place, could have save you a lot of breath there.

Please do not order, let us finish our orders then when the inventory is gone you can place yours mkay Cheesy

Smoothie is starting to delete posts now... lol

Like I said, ive seen much more elaborate set ups, not saying its a scam, just saying... still no one should give their personal info out here.

Yeah we saw it repeatedly. Why dont you get on your main account and stop trolling on puppets if your such a greate advocate for the little guy?

Any company will make coins for you, you can make your own BTC or LTC any way you want, instead people are being duped into buying these....

And guess what, you people act like these are "the first LTC physical coins" and the cascius BTC coins "are the originals"  SATOSHI didnt make the cascius coins, and Maged, or whoever it was didnt make these LTC coins, its just some random person who decided to have the coins made themselves and sell them at an extremely high markup.

If everyone could do it, they would be doing it.
Looks like we have another troll as well, I hope you still enjoy your ltc coins, and the fact in knowing anyone and everyone on this forum could have your personal information now

If you dont want him to have your personal information, dont buy from him. This is not rocket science.

These are way beyond Casascius price:value ratios Cheesy

Casascius had 500 in his first silver run. They are significantly more rare. People who buy these should be buying them cuz they like the coin or the idea, not to every get their money back out of them.

I bought two myself but I'm fully aware the resale value will be lower than what I paid.
You cant say these coins or casacius coins are rare, because anyone can have them made, anyone, its not difficult. For the idiots buying these and casacius, I dont understand why they just didnt have their own made  lol
+1

casacius can do it because he is a highly trusted member. smoothie is a well known troll so he gets to charge more I guess.
I think what he was saying is that you can have your own silver coins minted with any design you want, ive done it before, why pay the premium from someone else who did it?

Keep in mind to all you people ordering are giving this troll your name and address, something you should NEVER do on this forum.

The intent is to allow us to prep for when they go on sale, then buy as a group. Rather than 1 person buy them all at once we will be ready to buy all at once with buying power even if I have to pay the extra.

You're taking money up front for a group buy significantely higher then buying individually from the man himself....wtf and again taking money for preorders on a product you can't preorder.

The seller is a trust guy too you know and i'm pretty sure he's not going to sell all to 1 person.

If you are not interested, then dont buy any, this is fairly simple.

The purpose of this thread is to facilitate a group buy of physical LTC. The Group will purchase as many as allowed in advance and post the amount here and resell them to ensure everyone here gets a coin that wants one. This will be the first batch, and a collectors item and there is only a limited run of 1000 coins total a portion of which will be retained by the creator. I am assuming he will retain 100, so the remainder will be the ones on sale in this group buy.

2013 Lealana Physical Silver Litecoins

Regardless of the final price the coins are sold at, the purchase price for the group buy to simplify matters will be 100$ in LTC or BTC per coin.

Current purchase price of the Physical Solid Silver 1/2 troy oz is 1BTC or 40 LTC.

For Litecoin Payments: LYDVkTe96CfjKumDxLFZxzuNduyM1Svb8q

When payments have been received to pay for an order I will update the thread to reflect the amount sold. The order in which the payment is received will dictate each buyer's place in line.

This will include the leatherette case in the price, air tight capsules, and certificate of authenticity.

Once you have made payment, you will need to email the following information to ltcgroupbuy@gmail.com

The time the payment was received will dictate your order on the list. If you become the last person on the list and they are out of stock at that point ( I will contact the creator of the coins to ensure we have not gone over the amount of stock remaining. ) Your coins will be refunded.

If you live outside the USA, you will need to add an additional 10$ for shipping regardless of the amount of coins you purchase.

Inside the USA shipping will be an additional 5$ regardless of how many are purchased.

All coins will be sent registered mail, so your address will need to have someone there that you trust to sign for the delivery. If you do not want to pay the 5$ inside the USA for the registered mail, you can choose to skip it by stating in this thread:

" I accept responsibility for the package's potential theft if it is left at my home and stolen. I also accept that if the mail service loses or steals my package the shipper will be in no way responsible for the coins loss. "

FAQ:

Emails received regarding questions outlined in this FAQ will be asked to review the information contained herein.

Purchasing

What is a TX ID?
A transaction ID is a number that is generated every time coins are moved from one address to another. In order to find the TX ID of your purchase you can right click and select “show transaction details” within the bitcoin-qt or litecoin-qt software, or go to blockchain.info and enter your payment address if you are using bitcoin.

Do you accept reservations?
Coin purchases are on a first come, first serve basis, and all orders must be paid in full.

What do I do with coins?
Coins are used as a means of transfer of LTC physically. And besides this, I mean look at them, they are awesome. And they happen to be batch 1 so they are collectors items.

Can orders be split and/or transferred?
We are not responsible for any splits or transfers negotiated after purchase of the coins, nor will we facilitate any trades. This is your responsibility after you have received them.

Can I add to my order?
Assuming coins are still available, you may add to your order, if any coins remain they will be attached to your order in a single shipment. If they are no longer available, the coins that did not make it into the group buy will be refunded. These will be handled after the group buy totals have been confirmed.

Can I pay with (Insert anything other than BTC or LTC here)?
BTC and LTC currently the only accepted forms of payment.

What if my email is hacked and you receive a payment from the correct address but they send a different shipping address?
We cannot be held responsible for your lack of security. If you do discover this type of an attack has occured, email the ltcgroupbuy@gmail.com and we will have you sign a message to prove ownership of the payment.
