Alright, so say I want to buy 219 chips for the production of 13 assembled boards (that is 11 extra chips for possible faulty chips). So that I get working assembled boards shipped to my address.
Do I then just send payment for 219 chips, and mail the details as stated in the post? Where should I tell that I want the chips to be on assembled boards? Are the costs for the board assembly paid afterwards in USD?
Yes, all that is due now is payment for the chips. I will add a section for hosting/assembly/testing. I do not want to commit to a pricing structure at this time. BTC will almost certainly be accepted. USD may be accepted. Anything else will most certainly not be accepted, so please stop asking to pay for your chips with lego's (you know who you are). ordered 3 more chips to cover a potential 5% fail rate Thats is very prudent. Just because the fabricators know what they are doing does not mean every part will be at 100% and just because they will give a warranty in some cases does not mean you will get replacements quickly.

His is the "experimental"? I can add it now but that word may be the wrong choice of phrase. Maybe beta will be better (I didnt know it was being distributed widely yet) but if everyone is happy with it, it will be up soon.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: locking pages and round end/payments
|

In regards to locking writers link's pages, I would suggest that everyone keep a copy of their writing for each page in a text or word document in case a page become deleted. I save mine to word documents (I can make the text bigger for my eyes when editing) to ensure I don't lose any work.
If a page was accidentally deleted I am not sure it can be retrieved. If a page is edited and all the text removed and then saved, the page is gone.
Pages can easily be restored to a previous version, that is not the problem. The real problem is, that if the payment/counting script picks up wrong data and the payments go out, there is no way to get the coins back, even if you later revert the vandalism. By the way, is there a place to see up-to-date counts and share distribution for the current round? I thought http://d.evco.in/charity/devtome_earnings_24.csv would be what I was looking for, but it doesn't have any current data, even if it is updated daily according to the file date. Is the script working correctly? If anyone has a script or a plugin they have found that will achieve what you are talking about without locking every thread to that specific user then please post it. I have hunted and not found one yet.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FinShaggy, Metazilla, Emfox and Weisoq Are Now Administrators
|
on: May 26, 2013, 12:44:39 AM
|
Listed in order of seniority, FinShaggy, Metazilla, Emfox and Weisoq did a lot. I looked over their posts and saw that they were helpful and polite, so they were asked to be administrators. Besides the option of maintaining a receiver file, each administrator does one task. The following choices were given:
1) Promoter.
2) Awarding the tiny (fraction of a share) bounties, and checking that paid maintenance work is being done.
3) Helping people install devcoin on Linux, making binaries for major Linux distributions, and when possible, packages.
4) Investor relations. Charting the growth in words and page views. When we have advertising revenue, determine the net present value of writing a devtome article and chart the growth in revenue.
5) Signing up writers, along with Fuzzy Bear and any other signing administrators. The work would be split according to the writers' name, for example if there were two, the first signing administrator would handle A-K, and the second L-Z.
6) Handling the bitcoin share and devcoin share list.
7) Make up your own job.
FinShaggy chose promoter, Metazilla chose the share lists, Emfox chose Linux, and Weisoq chose to sign up writers. They'll all get the 1 to 4 shares ongoing for administration work.
Bravo guys.
