881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can i post satoshi posts in other forums here? on: October 16, 2022, 11:59:19 PM
As long as they dont have enough valid proof, we're never wasting our time with those nonsense posts from conspiracy forums.

There are people who keep claiming that they're the ones who created Bitcoin but in fact, they don't have enough proof of that.  Only here on this forum and Reddit which I believe satoshi had visited the forum.

It seems you're shilling that forum here on us which I didn't continue to read and agree he terms.
882  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why DCA Strategy on: October 16, 2022, 11:08:29 PM
In the DCA Average strategy, purchases will be known by making a portfolio of how many assets have been purchased. The DCA strategy is perfect for those who want to continue to collect bitcoins or other assets for the long term on a consistent basis.
I tend to agree with this, it's a kind of hoarding Bitcoin for the long term and this investment strategy is suitable for those who are afraid of always losing the value of the money invested and aim for profit in the long term purpose.

How many of us here experience this kind of experiment in a way of purchasing Bitcoin?
Instead of buying all at once, purchasing in a DCA way couldn't also hurt your pocket if the bear market will continue.  Additionally, the advantage of this could be a risk reduction which provides liquidity and flexibility in your portfolio and prevent bad timing when the market continue declining the price.
883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you daily traders keep your crypto? on: October 15, 2022, 11:22:42 PM
...Also do people who trade daily keep their coins in say uniswap, pancakeswap or those things..

When trading on a decentralized exchange, such as Uniswap and Pancakeswap, all coins are in your wallet and you do not need to move them to the exchange to make a transaction, as this happens on centralized exchanges. But there are exceptions to these rules, when when trading on DEX, you will need to transfer your funds to the internal account of the exchange, for example, dydx.exchange
This is one advantage when trading decentralized exchange, there's no need to leave your fund on a third-party website which is a great advantage from being hacked which commonly happens on a centralized exchange.  But on the other side, there's also a disadvantage to using a decentralized exchange, traders say, they'd struggled with liquidity which difficult to execute buy and sell.

So now, my point is it depends on you.
You need to understand the risks and consequences of using different exchanges whether it's decentralized or centralized exchange.  Because as a trader picking a good exchange is one of a very difficult thing to do.
884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much gambling is in trading cryptocurrencies? on: October 15, 2022, 10:43:36 PM
Trading is trading and gambling is gambling they've differences from each other.
You can't do trading without proper knowledge even if you're a newbie, so can't say, you can trade that based on luck, it should be you're knowledgeable and have skills in trading.  No one can be consistently lucky in trading which you can be called the same as gambling.

Gambling is much more accessible than trading, you can gamble even though technically you don't have skills in that game.
Gambling is all about fun, while trading you aren't even though they have the same goal of making a profit.
885  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org scam on: October 14, 2022, 11:20:20 PM
I dont understand why do people still use freewallet ? Hoping it's not because of the word free in their name. Anyway, they're known scammers. OP you should have done a simple google search before using it.
The same way the rush to use coinbase.com, blockchain wallet and custodial services like banks. Most people don't want responsibility. They want another company or service to be responsible for their money and log in details so that when they forget the passwords, they just press Forgot password
But I prefer to use these wallets as you have said above rather than this Freewallet.org which is very well known that are selectively scamming its users.
The problem with these custodial wallets is that very sensitive to the KYC which become a problem in the future and also, very poor when it comes to their customer support.

Another scam accusation thread of freewallet.org.

They even draw up their TOS that they have right to suspend your account at any time (and this time comes after first withdrawal!).
You didn't hesitate to deposit your money even though you know this?
886  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any good books on the subject? on: October 14, 2022, 11:00:11 PM
There's Ratimov's thread created last year a huge list of blockchain books.
Big Library of Bitcoin & Blockchain Books

There's a title there and the author that you'll surely easy to find out which you like.

My recommendation is Blockchain Development Philosophy by Kalle Rosenbaum.
A computer scientist?  Not bad, it's an interesting one.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: October 11, 2022, 11:59:40 PM
This didn't surprise me.

Elon Musk bought Twitter of course with a purpose and it could this was his purpose in the first place.  He loves Dogecoin and he always wanted to pump up the price of this coin.  We know Dogecoin is good for micropayments and at least it has a real utility.

It is always good if Elon Musk set another payment option like using the Bitcoin lightning network alternatively to the Dogecoin.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Calendar and Important Days on: October 11, 2022, 11:56:09 PM
Actually, there's a calendar that listed all Bitcoin activities and important days.
https://bitcoin.holiday
(edited: ohh, it's given above already)

I didn't even know that there are more holidays in the Bitcoin calendar.  I always think about a new ATH will come every 4 years come not the monthly activities on Bitcoin in the calendar.
889  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 11, 2022, 11:48:22 PM
I voted sideways.

I didn't see that there's a sign that the Bitcoin price moving up this month, it could be the price will remain struggling at that range ATM.
Though I heard that there are some popular individual investors now that have invested in Bitcoin but I think that's wont the reason it will go upside.  If we look at the daily candle it seems there's no sign of a bullish one.  Sideways could be close to accurate results.

However, I'm very optimistic that the Bitcoin price will go up at the end of this quarter as the most anticipated moment.
890  Other / Off-topic / Re: Asking on behalf of a friend on: October 11, 2022, 11:40:52 PM
A fully air-gapped mobile wallet is considered as good while you don't have a hardware wallet but IMO, I won't use this for a long-term purpose.
If your friend isn't a techy one, this is not good advice.  I rather advise him to buy a hardware wallet that has built-in security inside which an air-gapped mobile phone doesn't have.

It's already given good advice above, I want to hear you and come back here what your friend decided to have, a hardware wallet or a fully air-gapped wallet.  Both are good but this is how will you manage them.
891  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you considering time span? on: October 11, 2022, 11:25:21 PM
I didn't do trading mostly, it's occasionally when I feel I've extra funds for it.
IMO, yes.  Could be a great decision if you consider the time span for canceling your order, this happens when your strategy won't work and you need to cancel to prepare another strategy to apply.  At a certain time your strategy won't work, don't push hard on it, find another one that'll be suitable for your trading orders that has a close to accurate result.

Though I stopped trading now and this was my experience before.
Stop-loss is always the best weapon if you won't consider time span or closing order.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years ago this man was accused to be Satoshi on: October 11, 2022, 10:48:39 PM
I never heard of this guy, it might be suspected because of his work as a cryptographer.
If there's deserving to be called Satoshi, I rather called Hal Finney a Satoshi because in the first place they had an interaction before and I doubt that's one of the members who created Bitcoin (because I doubt Satoshi is not one person).

He doesn't look like a tech guy who can code but a member of a rock band.
Quite true, but in fact, he is a cryptographer  Grin
At the first glance, he is really a coder.
Long hair and wears eyeglasses that look very busy his entire life being a coder.
893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why speculate when you can be at peace with Bitcoin on: October 10, 2022, 11:59:11 PM
It's always a wise choice if you store the value of Bitcoin and yeah, it's definitely peace of mind.
Considering the potential of making money while holding it in a long term, the problem is, are you willing to wait until that time when there's a new ATH come when there's no specific date when it will occur?

Knowing fully well that with Bitcoin I have the best alternative currency to spend at any time without any third-party involvement like the bank.
Well exactly right, as long as you have full control over your key, your Bitcoin holding is fine.  No third party involved, no tax, and anytime you want you can cash it out.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting developers for old coins on: October 10, 2022, 11:53:18 PM
Do you have links referencing what you're talking about, please?
You can simply DYOR to avoid possible scams.
https://www.toptal.com/blockchain

There are a lot of companies now where you can find a good developer, choose a legitimate one to always assure a good developer not a scammer.
Based on my small research, here's what I've got.

Anyway, good luck with your project.
895  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would be your assumption in this forum. on: October 10, 2022, 11:27:21 PM
One thing that I really love this forum cause I gained more knowledge.
It's a very important line when you're a newbie, don't think about what you'll earn here, instead, think about the knowledge that you may absorb and learn that may use to improve your skills in crypto and I'm glad to hear that in you.

Many of us here love to join technical discussions, to learn and gain knowledge.  This forum is very helpful to us and as long as you've followed the rules and guidelines you are safe here.

Respect for each other would be a result of a good community which we applied here.

Even I've learned more things in here I'm always remain who I am Cause I believe being humble magnifies who really we are.
Keep it up and be a good Samaritan.
896  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I run a new campaign on: October 10, 2022, 11:16:17 PM
I would like to advise experiences about the new campaign,
Are you looking for advice as a new campaign manager?  Isn't it?

First, you need to have experience first joining signature and while joining learn how they manage a campaign either signature or bounty campaign.
Here's a brief that came from @CryptopreneurBrainboss in joining a paid campaign that you must learn first.

Learn first before you'll manage your own campaign.
897  Economy / Economics / Re: Portugal will be "hodling friendly" on: October 10, 2022, 11:02:14 PM
This is quite common range of taxation. I don't find this to be big, because every country have got its own taxation. Many countries add it to the list of investment and not into currency/assets. The capital gains taxation on different countries are found higher than this. In Belgium it is found to be 33% and in India it is 30% and it continues with 1% tds. The sad part, Portugal being one of the country that have been into the list having tax exemption for cryptocurrency apart from the business profits adding 28% tax.
I tend to agree and based on this Cointelegraph article which is the worse country for crypto taxation was in Belgium.

This is good news, more adoption and taxation implementation mean it will cause more transactions and also more holders as well.  The basic law of increasing the Bitcoin price was in the demand and the supply which is no doubt this will likely happen in the future.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Squid coin - how did it impact you? on: October 10, 2022, 10:42:31 PM
Why not write about Bitcoin instead of writing about squid coin?

I know from the start that this coin will become a shitcoin soon because it takes advantage of the popularity of the movie which seems like happen covid-19 there is also a coin that pops up.  It's nonsense to have a survey on this coin that surely those FOMOed investors have been a victim of this.

I didn't answer anything even though I dare to visit your link given because I didn't invest this coin from the start.  You must need to move on if you invested a lose your money on this project and learn from that mistake.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC price manipulation on: October 09, 2022, 11:59:00 PM
As per my knowledge, BTC price can manipulate to some extent by whales. But whales need to respect market movment and only can do corrctions to some extent.
what is your thoughts?
It's a simple explanation, there are too many things that happen in the market, not just manipulation, fundamentals have sometimes a reason.
It's normal that every market has a whale even though stocks, but I don't know if there's a manipulation in the crypto market, it seems you need a large fund for this, in order that you can manipulate the market price.

Whales are whales, they didn't need to respect the market.
Once the opportunity of making a profit is there, they will grab it, and they will laugh when they saw a weak hand selling their Bitcoin during the correction time.
900  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only lose nothing if you hold BTC on: October 09, 2022, 11:17:13 PM
Many people still prefer altcoins which is a wrong mindset because they want a quick profit, especially in memecoins.
It seems they like to gamble their money in a short period of time, we know Bitcoin takes a long time before you'll see profit but at least it's sure that you'll have it.

Bitcoin has been known that potentially can make a profit upon storing the value as your long time investment if you have an amount that can afford to wait and lock in a long-term period of time, choose Bitcoin rather than put it into a centralized organization or bank.

If you hold 1 Bitcoin it will remain 1 Bitcoin whatever the market condition.
