881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Price of #Bitcoin on Christmas on: December 25, 2020, 10:25:44 PM
First of all, Merry Christmas everyone!
Jawhead999. It is nice that you mention that we should use a better size in the images in the forum. What is the code to resize the images?
I would also like to say that the price appears to be heading higher. Without the intention of speculating for the end of December we could see the price of bitcoin from $ 26,000 to $ 31,000.
What is true, Bitcoin is gaining popularity and confidence. In the crypto market it is traded with 67% of the market continues to increase its digits.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is headed for the stars, but... on: December 25, 2020, 01:06:55 PM
I also think that it is an opportunity for more investors to enter the game when the price of bitcoin falls.

Being optimistic, Bitcoin may not fall back in price to what we have seen before. It is going towards a bigger escalation. Important analysts have expressed it.

"Bitcoin will likely break $ 50,000 in 2021."

https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2020/12/13/2144141/0/en/Will-Bitcoin-Continue-to-Rise-Crypto-Experts-Finixio-Make-Their-Predictions.html

A good sign has been this year Bitcoin has overcome with us this difficult crisis of the pandemic. Because we have trusted, supported and adoption is just beginning.
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end the dollar’s reign? on: December 25, 2020, 12:30:58 PM
I also think that Bitcoin represents a viable alternative as a reserve currency against the dollar. It has gained a lot of ground without a doubt but everything takes time so for now it is not marking the end of the dollar due to his dominance in the international market.
Unless everyone loses trust in the dollar and prefers to use bitcoin for their exchanges as some experts think.
Bitcoin in this pandemic has managed to raise its confidence among investors allowing advance to digital technology and the way we view finance. Now Bitcoin will make itself heard more globally.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria is now the No.2 bitcoin market on: December 23, 2020, 10:01:35 AM
Congratulations to Nigeria.
According to this article in Decrypt one of the powerful reasons why Nigerians are buying bitcoin is because they need to get out of the devaluation and recession that their local currency the Naira has had.
The growing volume of cryptocurrency traders in that country is notorious. According to the statistics shown. I very much wish that Nigeria can get out of the sad situation that devaluation brings to a nation.

885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is my Bank on: December 22, 2020, 09:58:02 PM
Certainly "Bitcoin is my Bank"
Thanks OP for sharing your experience. I feel identified with you in some way. What I could advise you is that you try to open a new bank account. Just for you to manage certain funds and keep your portfolio in bitcoin and crypto. When you need cash, use P2P platforms to exchange crypto for cash. So you will save your money invested in bitcoin.

That is what I normally do to protect my money from inflation. Also in the crypto space there are several ways to save: crypto staking, run, validate, certify node and more.
Good luck in our crypto space.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: December 19, 2020, 08:14:47 PM
I have barely a year with Bitcoin. It has changed my life and I think it is the best path I have ever taken. According to the most recent events, I think that Bitcoin will have more visibility around the world and will manage to give some changes in the economy. I hope it is a transformation towards the versatility that digital technology offers.
Bitcoin is allowing the finance that we know to evolve because time was already asking for a change and it is the reason why I think it could be the beginning of a new economy.
887  Economy / Economics / Re: Our new economic model could be defi on: December 19, 2020, 05:59:14 PM
DeFi and Bitcoin are good for me because I have already been testing them for a year. I live in a country with high inflation and both have worked perfectly. I have been able to live day to day with crypto. Not paying directly with bitcoin for my goods and services but by exchanging them in the P2P exchanges but only those I need for each occasion.
What were my results?
I bought my first SmartPhone and Tablet that I would never buy with the income of my local currency, being a country with high inflation, when you want to save is almost impossible. But I did it by investing in crypto in a Staking program and that's where DeFi participates. While Bitcoin allowed me to get ahead in my country with a depreciated economy and also with the difficult situation of the pandemic that still afflicts us around the world.
888  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Crypto live forever or die? on: December 19, 2020, 04:10:51 PM
Crypto should live forever. It is sad that we have wars, I wish they would cease forever and that nations try to live in peace.
On the side that interests us, we maintain the hope that bitcoin was created to stay and that we are currently witnessing the transformation of the economy.
This moment was destined because circumstances allowed it. We need to lead the economy into a digital age and the call is for everyone.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Peter helping bitcoin pump? on: December 19, 2020, 03:05:19 PM
I think Peter is sending a message to those who invest in gold minimizing the potential of bitcoin and of course both tweets have no impact on this bull run.
He knows that Bitcoin is advancing by gaining more investors and the giant PayPal will attract more companies to trust Bitcoin.
We are at a peak moment that favors us as a community. Bitcoin will be fulfilling the objective that we want a more efficient digital economy.
890  Economy / Economics / Re: people stop complain about economy and ccovid on: December 19, 2020, 02:28:03 PM
There are still important countries for the global economy that are fighting Covid19, which is a problem that minimizes the engines that drive the economy. If already before Covid19 the economy was fractured now with the pandemic, the outlook is complicated.
There should be no doubt that covid19 is a serious problem that needs attention and God willing we can get out of this global public health disease soon.
I am optimistic, having a cure for Covid19, we will be ready for the rescue of the economy.
891  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: December 19, 2020, 07:45:20 AM
After seeing venezuela switch to crypto it is clear where the future is. They switched to both bitcoin and Dash, no mention of other coins, not sure about the petro so it's btc all the way

Venezuelans still use their local currency. The news of using crypto in commerce is that of some stores such as supermarkets, pharmacies, pizzerias among others located in the main cities of the country. But not all users pay with crypto is the reason why I say that most Venezuelans pay for their goods and services in the traditional way.
Regarding this news I would say that we are in a pilot project that is beginning to work as people learn and are motivated to use cryptocurrencies.
892  Economy / Economics / Re: Tether's market cap is huge! (usdt) on: December 19, 2020, 07:33:44 AM
The fact that USDT has yet to show support may worry anyone. But the high volume shows that there are investors who are preferring it to all stablecoins. Sincerely USDT maintains its controversy, time passes without any statement of endorsement of its funds. In view of this I would also choose another stablecoin and choose between DAI, GUSD and BUSD.
893  Other / Archival / Re: ... on: December 19, 2020, 07:08:02 AM
With satisfaction we can see that Bitcoin is gaining confidence as a good alternative to safeguard investors' capitals that will serve to boost the economy. It is a fact that the community celebrates it but it is not the time to replace traditional currencies with Bitcoin. Bitcoin's mission now is to counteract inflation and create macro opportunities in the global economy.
894  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: December 19, 2020, 06:44:44 AM
According to the PayPal faq on its website, it indicates what is the first objective when offering its services with cryptocurrencies.

In this first stage, PayPal seeks to teach its users to buy, sell and hold cryptocurrencies in its app. So that then they are ready to the second stage and buy items in their network of merchants with cryptocurrencies.

895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin This year & Next year. on: December 18, 2020, 11:59:40 PM
For Bitcoin, 2017 was different now there have been other circumstances that make it a trustworthy asset. Already large investors have tried all the ways to save their money and have seen in Bitcoin the best asset reserve treasure as Michael Saylor says:

I think that Bitcoin by 2021 will have an important role now that the global economy needs a restoration.

Quote
#Bitcoin is the world’s best treasury reserve asset & the emerging dominant monetary network. It is the solution to the store of value problem faced by every individual, corporation, & government on earth.

896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you see as the major flaws of the Bitcoin ecosystem right now? on: December 18, 2020, 11:29:46 PM
A good design that is user friendly is crucial in the mobile version. We spend the most time on our SmartPhone which will allow more people to join the great bitcoin wave.
Easy to receive, send, buy and sell bitcoin. If you talk and show anyone how easy it is to handle bitcoin, you will win a new user. So I think that this is what developers are thinking about their applications now that Paypal is in the crypto space and the growing demand for new applications is coming.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Becareful at this BITCOIN price point on: December 18, 2020, 11:01:06 PM
It is true that we must be careful with the Bitcoin ATH because this crypto bull run is just beginning.
The inclusion of bitcoin and crypto by the giant PayPal and large investors throughout the year have allowed confidence in new investments in Bitcoin. Now banks such as Kraken in the USA, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan and Spain are joining. There are important moves to upgrade banking to blockchain, bitcoin and crypto technology. This gives me the impression that bitcoin has now evolved to a new stage and for the better.
We must take advantage of our gains in bitcoin and hold for the future.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $20 000 BTC. We did it on: December 17, 2020, 04:51:41 AM
Bitcoin is so amazing!
After showing us that in the face of adversities such as the one we have experienced because of the pandemic and the damage that the global economy has suffered.

In this year it has been the asset with the best characteristics to safeguard the value reserves of many companies. It has inspired the confidence of many because investors seek to protect their wealth from inflation with Bitcoin to create macro opportunities. All of this endorsement has made the great Bitcoin rally.

Bravo! 20000 $ BTC. We did it.
899  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is why btc will die as a crypto on: December 12, 2020, 09:49:51 PM
No. Bitcoin is more alive than ever. I remember everything that I went through at the beginning of the pandemic and how thanks to Bitcoin I was able to overcome many obstacles.
Now Bitcoin is proving that it is a great invention that can be attached to any individual and we should not underestimate it.
Maybe with the most recent announcements that have been important around it. Someone can develop a product that manages to fix the transaction time and fees that are uncomfortable for some.
900  Other / Archival / Re: CitiBank & Report about Bitcoin: 21st Century Gold on: December 12, 2020, 09:37:59 PM
From the first moment in which the stablecoins digital of the governments begin to come into operation, more digital coins will come to enter the game.
It is a matter of time to see the announcements of the banks because times have changed and they have shown that they need to evolve to new technologies such as blockchain.
Bitcoin opened the gap by creating a monetary network and is now more visible to everyone and will make banks adjust to it.
