Bangladesh made it illegal, but is it too late for this to happen in the west since too many influential people have adopted it?
Yes the FBI would have committed a crime by selling Bitcoin if it was outlawed.

Take heed people, this is the counter argument. I wonder if he can produce a chart to prove it?

Have to admit, i have always assumed it would be denied, even though i am a long term bull. Just seems to me .gov will not make shit that easy for us, i think it's more likely they will try and kill it.
If the government wants to kill it they would have done so by now

Overstock.com tv commercials have Bitcoin.
Also just noticed Apple iOS 8.0 capitalizes Bitcoin pretty neat.
Oh wow this is great! What network do they air on? I am in the UK so if you have a way to record and upload it, I am sure all the non-US Bitcoiners would be interested to watch

Ignore them. Any company that thinks this a good and cost-effective marketing strategy will go out of business sooner or later

Bitcoin unadopted you Only those with above average intelligence and patience will be the ones to benefit from Bitcoin at the moment. Your gains from Bitcoin will be limited to saving wire fees using Circle once Bitcoin becomes mainstream and you have no option than to use Bitcoin again, or look silly paying extortionate fees.

Your involvement in Bitcoin has already been priced in

Dollar has been going up and down ever since, but it is still here right? Dollar has been proven to withstand time, I hope bitcoin does that too.
Like all fiat currencies, the USD has been losing real value against real world goods/commodities since it was created. That can't happen forever. Eventually something has to give. The dollar will stand the test of time, but it will lose value for ever. Inflation does not always end in disaster

No.
Paypal for me is just a payment processor and I've had way to many problems with them in the past. They might be accepting bitcoins now but I do not see them as a main player in the bitcoin field in regards to providing wallets and the like as most of that will be done by a third party in any case.
Storing my bitcoins with Paypal will just not feel right, will feel like me banking all my cash at the local supermarket and not at the bank.
But it will feel right for the mainstream, and that is more important
