901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. on: November 18, 2023, 11:14:58 PM
Yes. Bitcoin is not a get rich quick as there's no such investments that would offer quick profits, unless if you are dealing with a scam one. However, with the bitcoin hype that most of the crypto influencers are doing to trick people and easily believe that it could be a get rich quick investment, then its not surprising that until at the present time, people who have just heard about bitcoin will still see it as a get rich quick scheme, especially that the government is also imposing the same idea.

But to be honest, bitcoin could be the most valuable investment that is capable to give you highly exceptional profits, that is if you maximize accumulating bitcoin in your portfolio. The profits after selling will eventually turn you an instant millionaire, one fact that other types of investments are not capable of doing.
902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 18, 2023, 10:58:51 PM
I would just like to make everyone cautious about the current situation as it's a period which can make or break you based on your investment strategy. It's all about Altcoin investment and most of the newbie try their luck by investing into Altcoin whenever there are rumours of bull Run and the reason they prefer Altcoin over bitcoin is that they think Bitcoin is already priced higher and it would not get pumped multiple fold any further and they think Altcoin is price priced at single digit or double digit so they can grown thousand folds but that's not the case as it's a common mistake made by newbies as they just look at the market price instead of looking total supply of Bitcoin and Altcoin, they need to consider total supply of Altcoin and calculate it with the price they expect it to reach and think if it's even possible. I would suggest sticking to top Altcoin and Bitcoin.

Please share your opinions on common mistake newbie makes when market trends upward.

That's the reason why most of the newbie investors are losing because they enter the market when bitcoin price is bullish, and because its quite expensive, resorting into altcoin investing could be their best option. At first, the idea might be working but when the market suddenly crash and altcoins prices have been dropping so badly, that's when they realized that risking their money into altcoins is not worthy and might only put them at the losing end, losing their money that were supposed to risk in bitcoin.

However, we can't blame that as they only invest at a beginner's point of view. Without prior research and making them totally aware how altcoins can be tricky and deceiving, these newbies will definitely end up quitting after losing significant amount.
903  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My experience as a beginner trader on: November 18, 2023, 10:37:29 PM
There are no experience mate Grin you lose  as a beginner to become a stronger trader  Smiley so for everyone out there thinking of QUITTING QUITTING is not the option here just keep learning  till you  can say "Gone are those days " Grin

Confused, fearful, FOMO, freaked out, disappointment, unsatisfaction, losses, etc.—let's put it in a simple word: total disaster. I know most people started with these kinds of mixed feelings, but it will clear the path in the future. Early trading is not even easier either. Scammers have been the major headache from the beginning until now. There is no doubt that beginners will fall for their trick easily without even thinking. And telling the truth honestly, the major reason why many people entered the crypto market was due to scammers. I don't know how much you earned or sacrificed in your beginning journey, but here you are, so remember those days with pride and keep going.
Well, it could be the hype that these scammers have been doing just to attract innocent people into trading. And because of the beginner's greed to trade and earn quick profits, then its undeniable that people easily fall on their traps and lose on their initial trading capital. And it usually happens to most of the beginner traders, simply because they don't have stable knowledge and their trading skills are not yet developed.

However, being a victim of scammers could be an eye opener to everyone that in trading, you can't trust no one but only yourself. So trade with knowledge and skills, and with the right attitude to trade, so you won't end up quitting in trading just like most of the newbies have decided to.
904  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin Hit $1 Million by 2026? Arthur Hayes Makes Exciting Forecast on: November 18, 2023, 10:16:30 PM
We were close to $100K but we never reached that price, if I remember correctly the 2017 bull season also had some expectations of that price and in the 2021 bull season, those expectations were repeated again. But after 2 bull cycles, we still haven't been able to reach $100k, so I think we need to conquer $100k before thinking about further goals. People are setting unrealistic expectations and making predictions that we don't even know will happen or not. I think we should live realistically rather than set too high expectations and then live in illusion with it.
I also think like this, but for what I can see I would guess many people think it is basically a given that bitcoin will reach and surpass the 100k level during the next bullish cycle, however even if that was true I still prefer to concentrate on the goals that can actually be achieved instead of dreaming with my eyes open, as those that make those wild predictions are the kind that later will regret about not taking the right decision at the time as they simply believed the upside bitcoin had was massive, only to be disappointed at the end.
However, the fact that bitcoin price has reached a very good position in the market currently, I guess that motivates other crypto analysts to level up their predictions that most of us have even think it a lot of times if its still possible to achieve or not. Well, I have no issues with this kind of predictions because they are not forcing us to believe on them as well. They are just sharing their own expectations with bitcoin price, and we have to stick to our own as well.

But if you ask me regarding this price prediction, for now I prefer not to believe on it. But I am open to a change of views and concepts later on when bitcoin price has finally surpassed the $100k price resistance that we have been predicting to achieved with those previous years.
905  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the second most popular investment in "France" on: November 18, 2023, 09:32:07 PM
I would not be surprised with the result of the survey since the French government is all out supportive about the cryptocurrency development. Trading and hodling bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies are legal in their country, and this motivates more the young generation to seize every opportunity investment when it comes to crypto, most particularly bitcoin. Its a good thing about the French government as they never limit their people to only trust fiat, but trust in crypto as well as it could create more financial security in the future when their crypto investment has paid off.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really too Expensive? Then Buy Satoshis on: November 18, 2023, 08:56:59 PM
It is just as easy as saying it is not necessary to buy bitcoin if you do not have enough money to, becuase you can buy less than 1 bitcoin. Satoshi is the smallest unit of bitcoin but I do not think saying investing in satoshi is correct, it is still investing in bitcoin but people can buy less than 1 bitcoin.
Using the term satoshi might only bring confusion to beginners. They might be thinking that what's the significance of satoshi when all we are talking here is only bitcoin. Instead, make it clear that we don't have to invest or buy the whole bitcoin if our funds are still insufficient. Just buy a portion of bitcoin on an amount that you can afford to lose, and continue to grow it through doing DCA in your next purchases.

I'd say people understand every piece of advice based on their capability to understand. And I know what you are trying to say here is actually good and valuable, but only limited people will understand the essence of having satoshi when its hard for you to invest or buy the whole amount of bitcoin.

Guys, don't get your hopes up for an entertaining fight if Shakur wins. If he keeps up his current pace, it means he's dictating the fight with his run-and-gun style, and that usually leaves fans unsatisfied. You know how it goes......they complain that Shakur is boring, yet they still shell out their money hoping for a different outcome. Some things never change!

Many are hopeful that Shakur will entertain us. Personally, what I'm looking forward to is the day he faces a defeat, which would undoubtedly offer real entertainment. There's no denying his prowess in boxing; he's an incredibly dominant fighter, and his skills are challenging to match, even against knockout artists who lack his speed.

But, can we believe he said this?

he is popular but not the kind of Manny's power that drives people to travel just to watch him. but just like Inoue, they are both climbing the ladder. it will be really good to see popular boxers like Haney, Tank or Shakur fighting Inoue for this man is more likely to follow Manny. he is unifying titles and he is hurrying up to achieve greatness.

Inoue is currently in the superbantamweight division, and it would require him to climb three weight classes to face Shakur. While it's a possibility, it might take some time. Inoue's plan seems to be staying in the current division for a while, especially if he manages to unify all the belts, a scenario we'll find out about after his fight with Tapales on December 26th.

Garcia vs Broner sounds a bit of a joke but it will be fun. Broner is Ryan co main event this dec 2. theyd be observing each other then.

So Broner has a new opponent? I thouht he's up against Chris Howard as we have a thread here created before.

908  Economy / Economics / Re: Imaginary Future on: November 18, 2023, 03:24:44 PM
Do you ever feel like that being after saving or investing for future you forget to live in the present? You don't buy the things you want to or don't go after experiences you want because you'd rather save/invest for future instead.
If you really want to secure your future, you might certainly put your present being compromised. And we all know that's wrong, but we can't help doing it most especially if we are more aggressive living our future than trying to live the present. But when consequences start to sink in, that's when we realized that we need to prioritize living the present than to disregard it just to save for the future. We don't know what the future holds so as much as possible, live the present life to its fullest.

However, saving or investing for the future is also crucial.  It allows you to enjoy greater security in life, and through saving or investing, you are preparing yourself for future life's hurdles and battles and be able to win them easily and most importantly, you are building financial security at an earlier age.

910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 18, 2023, 01:31:06 PM
That ROS vs. Phoenix game was a thriller! Do you happen to know the betting odds for it? The ending was intense, especially that last-second sequence. Phoenix got lucky grabbing the ball after Perkins missed the 3-point attempt. They scrambled, and with only 1 second left, ROS fouled Phoenix's import. If ROS had snagged that rebound, who knows, the outcome might have been different. Whatta game!!!!

Import vs Import production, the win goes to the Phoenix.

Williams 29 points
Summers 15 points

That game was a real entertainer. It looks like Coach Yeng's return to his old team might not be a smooth ride. The team has undergone changes, and it's unclear whether his coaching style has kept pace with the new dynamics. With three losses already this season, ROS is yet to secure a win, posing a significant challenge for Coach Yeng in steering the team towards qualifying the quarterfinals.

On another note, Converge is also facing a tough start at 0-3.
911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the minimum amount of bitcoin or satoshi should hold for poor? on: November 18, 2023, 01:20:48 PM
What is the minimum amount of bitcoins a poor person should have? and the minimum time it should be Hold/retained?

Bitcoin accumulation provides no limit regardless of your status in a society, but the more bitcoin you have, the bigger the profit opportunities you will enjoy.  It all depends actually on how capable you are to purchase and manage bitcoin investment, and how far your finances can go considering that every piece of bitcoin is worth a thousand dollars. But one thing is certain, bitcoin is for everyone. Even the poor ones are free to purchase it, as long as they have sufficient funds ready to invest in bitcoin, on an amount that they can afford to lose. But to be honest, if you are a poor individual, every cent counts so I don't think investing in bitcoin on an amount that you can afford to lose is applicable.

There is no minimum amount of bitcoin a poor person is able to hold. Just like for rich people, sky is the limit when it comes to buying bitcoin.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: November 17, 2023, 11:59:13 PM
As an investor, i did a lots of invest in altcoins. Those were suppose to be good that time with having good hype, good team and community. But with having all of thats, most of altcoins scam after a time! I wonder for some altcoins, they were suppose not to be go but they scammed without any reason! And hundreds of altcoins are in my wallet, which are turn into dead shitcoin now.
This is not new anymore as altcoin market have been the playground for scammers when all these too good to be true projects have start to emerged. Gone are the days where altcoins are highly profitable and highly valuable because at the moment, majority end up as dead and shitcoins.

Stick to bitcoin instead. Aside that you won't waste your money and time identifying which are shitcoins and which are not,  you will also minimize the chances of getting scam. Although I won't say in general that altcoins are not worthy of our money and time, but definitely must avoid if you want to gain significant profits in the end.
913  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Better Than Digital Gold on: November 17, 2023, 11:39:30 PM
Gold market existed long before BTC, sure its cap is way bigger. But majority of us here will prefer BTC of course, it couldn't really convince anyone to solely leave BTC and choose gold. It is not going to hurt the investor does have gold along with BTC.

Time is very uncertain now so whatever could happen, your survival depends on how much investment and the kind of investment you have. Gold can be paid to someone who doesn't understand BTC.
While it's a wise decision to invest in gold, but it will be a lot wiser if you both have bitcoin and gold in your portfolio. There's no distinction as they are both profitable and valuable in their own ways. However, it's undeniable that bitcoin offers the highest net proceeds compared to other investments, but the risk is certainly the highest and the scariest if you enter Bitcoin investment without prior knowledge and experience in the market.

The only advantage about bitcoin is when you have a good working strategy that will help you to sustain your investment, then you're good to go. You will gain exceptional profits compared to gold and other investments.
914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disadvantage of bitcoin on: November 17, 2023, 10:39:15 PM
You can't claim to call a spade a spade and then at the same time conclude that traditional banks seem to be one of the safest places to keep our money. They aren't!
Many people are just ignorant about how banks operate, or are simply lazy and careless when it comes to safeguarding their finances.

They would rather push the responsibility to someone else or a third party, and you call that safe? Hell No.
One of the main points of Bitcoin is for you to become your own bank, have a complete control over your funds and by this it's also your responsibility to safeguard those funds, just like how you would keep your fiat cash in your wallet or pocket.
Let's just say with traditional banks, our money are also their money so they have to safeguard it 24/7 but with bitcoin, we are entitled to secure the own safety of our coins, and that gives us bigger responsibility to safeguard our finances. While bitcoin may be prone to hacks or scams, but it's never a disadvantage of bitcoin but a lack of responsibility of the owner itself. Bitcoin is giving us the freedom not to rely on banks and other third parties, therefore it's giving us the full freedom to control the safety of our own bank.

However, when it comes to the volatility nature of bitcoin, it could be a disadvantage on the eyes of centralized government, but unknowingly this is the best asset of bitcoin that enable us to achieve financial independence when bitcoin hits a new significant all time high price.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 17, 2023, 07:57:33 AM
Warriors and OKC is currently playing, OKC up by double digit, could be another L for the home team?

Seems like it's a close game with OKC holding onto a single-digit lead. We're into the 3rd quarter, which is usually where the Warriors shine. If they can take this quarter, they've got to keep grinding in the 4th. Predicting this one is tricky, just when folks start counting the Warriors out, they pull a comeback. Anything can happen!

At one point, it was a close game, but it ended with OKC winning by 19 points. KT was shooting bricks this game, managing only 5 points from a 1/10 shooting performance. They really need to get rid of him; he's messing up our bets. Without Curry, there's no one to carry them, so I expect that losing streak to get even worse.

916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 17, 2023, 06:55:37 AM
It was a thrilling game, but the bettors ended up feeling let down in the end.

Anyway, we've got two games today. Maybe we can bounce back from our losses if we double down, hehe.

The first game is Magnolia vs. Northport, and the second game is Ginebra vs. Converge. Let's check if this Ginebra team is still super risky, even without Brownlee. For the favorites, we have the spreads and odds  below.

Hotshots -8.5
Ginebra -7.5

I'd lean towards the hotshots, but I'm a bit unsure about how Ginebra will perform. Since it's their first game, they might be a bit rusty, similar to what happened with SMB when they couldn't maintain their big lead. Plus, Ginebra has a new import, so it's smart to wait and see if he'll click with his teammates.

I might go for the under on the total (haven't checked it yet) because I think they'll stick to their defensive style – that's just their nature.
917  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: November 16, 2023, 11:58:30 PM
Engaging in spot trading carries lower risks compared to trading futures. While there are limitations to achieving higher returns, spot trading has proven to be a safer and simpler approach. Here, you won't be using borrowed funds for trading, ensuring that your trade size aligns with the assets you own. I refer to spot trading as genuine trading because it doesn't allow for profit in bearish markets, except through buybacks. Nonetheless, to gain profit, the prices must still rise.

Futures trading is suitable for those who are advanced in the trading world. Here, you can set leverage to increase the size of your trades. However, this is directly proportional to the risk; even a slight analytical error could result in the complete loss of your assets. Futures trading is highly perilous for all newcomers, so it's advisable to steer clear of it if you still consider yourself a novice.

article maybe help you for consideration
https://www.binance.com/en-BH/feed/post/1028429

Both spot trading and futures trading are actually risky for beginner traders. That is why they should not be trading in the first place but focus only on buying bitcoin and long term hodling. However, when there is greed, there is motivation to trade for quick profits. And for that, considering that you know already the basics in trading, I suggest you go  for spot trading. That is less risky than futures trading.

When you see yourself has gained positive improvements on your trading performance and you are making significant profits from spot trading, then you can start risking some of your capital into futures trading. With this, you should trade more carefully and wisely. Otherwise, by committing just a single mistake, all your money and efforts will immediately go into waste.
918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 16, 2023, 11:31:52 PM
It is actually called the DCA strategy; in this strategy, you don't need to invest a large amount. It doesn't matter if you aren't rich; if you have good intentions to invest and hold, then any amount you can buy. If we don't have a large amount and can't afford to lose, then the DCA strategy is best for us. We can invest a portion of our savings and hold it tight until we have good profits. If you are looking for a bottom, then you may not find it because Bitcoin is unpredictable anyway.
Only those who rush to invest in bitcoin without prior knowledge will decide to buy bitcoin at a full blast, thus buying an amount that you will surely regret once it end up losing. And I have known at lot of these people and end up quitting after experiencing an initial loss with a significant amount. That is why I want to discouraged those people who have no clear mindset about bitcoin, never invest in bitcoin if you want to get rich quick as putting a large amount of capital will never guarantee that your investment will succeed.

Do the DCA instead. Never worry for a small purchase because once you do it consistently, you will still be able to own a huge portfolio of bitcoin in the long run. Just stay patient and timing the market when it offers a big discount on the price of bitcoin.
919  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: November 16, 2023, 10:38:18 PM
It is difficult to balance the two things, but as the saying goes, fiat money is spent first, so make sure that Bitcoin payments have a high priority in depositing and the last item on the expense list, thus reducing the possibility of spending in Bitcoin, although I prefer to have Bitcoin accepted at your local business as a future investment. Leave cash payment for daily expenses. Results will vary depending on tax rules, trading strategy and your buying and selling of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is highly valuable as an asset so make sure to keep more it and spend fiat first as its value will come to depreciate in the long run. Although its undeniable that sometimes we get to spend some of our bitcoin to cover up the expenses in fiat but as much as possible, spend more of your fiat so you can increase the chance of hodling bitcoin. But if you are actually running a business that aims to maximize hodling more of bitcoin, then you can actually accept bitcoin more than fiat from your consumers who actually want to spend their bitcoin that serves like a purpose with fiat.

In addition, by accepting side hustles that pay in bitcoin, that is also a good option to receive bitcoin and proceed it for long term hodling. At least, while you continue to grow your fiat from your business, your bitcoin investment also grows from the side hustles that pay you.
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I go with Bitcoin or Altcoins for the upcoming bull run cycle? on: November 16, 2023, 08:25:17 PM
Many people in the crypto market are still uncertain about which type of asset to hold onto for the upcoming growth cycle of the crypto market: Bitcoin or Altcoins.
Referring to altcoins as "assets" makes no sense since at best they are a worse version of penny stocks which are garbage stocks from garbage companies 99% of which have no future whatsoever. Altcoins are the same, majority of them are absolutely useless and they are all created for pump and dumps which are risky to get involved in.

In any case, during the "bull cycles" if anyone wants to touch altcoins they should firs prepare themselves for the concept of pumps and dumps otherwise they will be dumped on and become bag-holders. It is of paramount importance to know when to sell altcoins and how to do it quickly.

This is why we always suggest newcomers to stick to bitcoin alone.
Its not wrong to invest in altcoins as long as you are on the right coins to invest. But the fact that altcoins create a higher risk of losing, then it's safe if we will only stick to bitcoin not because it has high promising profits, but because its never a pump and dump scheme like altcoins. Although altcoins can somehow bring exceptional profits but in most cases, its always losses than gains.

So my advice is to focus on bitcoin if you aim to maximize your investment profits when bull run comes. When you already create a massive profits on your own, then its not bad at all to risk some small amount on altcoins but make sure to sell them instantly before their prices dump in the market.
