What you just said is right. A team is needed, not just myself :-)
The past months I've done bug fixing, promotion, support...
What if someone starts to leverage me at least of promotion, and maybe exchanges? So I can focus on development?

Matteo don't get mad at this hacking shit.
A lot of users got hacked, it's a mass operation without any specific target.

Oss!

He occasionally produces code, but there is no commercial venture because either it's too buggy to do or he doesn't actually have a working program. If he did, he would have warehouses full of them, but he doesn't, so he can't. It's just like Chryo talking about how he's going to conquer the universe, but he still has to stop back in here to remind us of his existence, much like Wolf0.

As far as what Pallas said, some algorithms are easier to paralyze (parallel?) and fit better inside small footprints (that also depends on the kind of FPGA). Also notice where Wolf0 just said "Believe me I'm a developer" and Pallas actually attempted to talk about it a bit. You can't inherit credibility either.

You are talking about things you don't know, as usual. You are just speculating.
What makes you think Wolf0 doesn't have FPGA implementations ready? What makes you think there aren't any FPGA farms mining blake or keccak based algos?
FPGA is there, even if you don't want it.
But people shouldn't care. As long as a coin is profitable, what's the problem?

What's currently missing is promotion, but it doesn't make sense to do it without first having good exchanges, otherwise the people we reach will think this is a small and worthless coin.
It's not that we don't have a plan, it's that there are clear priorities: exchanges => promotion => new features.

Sorry for OT but did you hacked guys change your passwords after 2015?

i don`t know about that time, was some problem with password in 2015?

There was a leak, they suggested everyone change their password and not use the old password anywhere else. Usual stuff when using weak cyphers and weak passwords.

Thanks for the info Pallas!

I just found out that my friend _javi_ account was stolen also, they change the email address so you cannot longer recover it.

I was suggested that post my BTC address so in case of my account being stolen i can digitally sign with it, good idea, so here it goes.

1vTGnFgaM2WJjswwmbj6N2AQBWcHfimSc

I think it is a good idea, but dunno if admins have the time to check every single stolen account, hope they can Sad

indkt.

well, makes sense, but the hacker can still edit your messages and put their address in there, just like with the signature
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DAO] 🚂 The Movement | Unstoppable Organization on: October 19, 2017, 10:08:17 AM
I would like to take this opportunity to nominate and invite @Pallas to be also a Founding Member of this amazing Movement.

@Pallas is a software developer, i can't call every project that he worked/helped, he has been around in crypto way before i got in ( 2 years ago ) and he is one of the best people i had the pleasure to meet. He will be helpful to anyone who seeks his help and he was one of the people who taught me and guided me on my first newbie steps in this forum.

I will leave more introductions to him, but i want to say that i believe he is the right person for me to invite and that makes him MY CHOICE

@Pallas Welcome mate Wink

Thanks very much SlowGrowth for the nice words and for inviting me to this project.
Your introduction is very good, let me just add that I've been developing crypto-related projects since 2013 (currently I'm the main dev of Cryptonite coin, among others).
I'm always interested in news ideas and on work done by honest people. I've just started learning about DAO and will follow this project closely as it goes by.
Let me show you that I can give a helpful contribution :-)
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 2.2.2 - opensource - GPL (tpruvot) on: October 19, 2017, 08:36:38 AM
I am a pool operator, and found that there is difficulty multiplier set for different algos in ccminer, may I know what is the reason behind that?

weird question from a pool operator.
a multiplier is applied to stratum diff and may be different from coin to coin.
it's been like that for ages.
usually, a multiplier is set for a hashing algo when the first stratum implementation is made.
it's just a way to allow much easier shares for slow miners (compared to net hashrate).

Keccak and skein (and blake) are good for FPGA, don't be surprised if the profit for GPU drops quickly.
A good FPGA programmer can do the miner in some days. It will be 5 time more efficient than GPU, or more.

I have to open my wallet all the time to get stacking?

Not necessarily, especially if you have no mature coins yet.
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LUXCoin — New PHI1612 PoW/PoS Hybrid Algorithm — Parallel Masternodes on: October 18, 2017, 11:52:46 AM
What the minimum amount of lux for guaranteed POS reward?

No such file or directory.
The more coins, the more chances you have to stake, and stake soon.
Reasonably speaking, I'd say you need at least a couple coins.

the "trie" is a balance sheet, internally organised as a tree data type in memory.
the idea is that you don't need all the past transactions to know how many coin a certain account has got.
that is accomplished by the balance sheet, which is updated on every block and every wallet has a copy.
every wallet also has a copy of all the block headers and the recent full block information, including transactions.
so when you start using cryptonite, you don't need the past information but just the current situation, then all the information will be kept (since you start interacting with it).

XCN is also traded on NovaExchange, but someone really should tell Coinmarketcap.com about that.

AFAIK, they are not adding it because its daily volume is too low.
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: October 16, 2017, 02:08:24 PM
This is the keccak algo. Can be mined in nicehash/zpool.ca or coins directly.

some of the coins:

smartcash
maxcoin

There are a lot of people reading this thread, immediately after this post, the diff jumps up to 107k:(

yeah! because most miners, even big ones, still don't understand how difficulty works.

what about www.gate.io ? it can be easy i think.

oh yes, I forgot to mention we also requested to be added on gate.io, as we are on bter since 2014.

Since the btc38 has taken off XCN, its trading volume has been reduced a lot. I don't know how it's going to be. I want a better exchange to go public, such as cryptopia.

We currently have open addcoin procedures for bittrex, poloniex and yobit.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 2.2.2 - opensource - GPL (tpruvot) on: October 15, 2017, 10:18:20 AM
I have the following error during compilation:

Code:
/usr/local/cuda/bin/nvcc  -I. -I/usr/local/cuda/include -O3 -lineno -Xcompiler -Wall  -D_FORCE_INLINES -gencode=arch=compute_20,code=\"sm_21,compute_20\" -o scrypt/salsa_kernel.o -c scrypt/salsa_kernel.cu
nvcc fatal   : Unsupported gpu architecture 'compute_20'
Makefile:2717: recipe for target 'scrypt/salsa_kernel.o' failed
make[2]: *** [scrypt/salsa_kernel.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

May I ask if someone can help me with this?

compute 20 is not supported on cuda9.
just remove the relavant parts in Makefile.am, then run autogen.sh and configure again.

are you referring to this specific part?: https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/blob/windows/Makefile.am#L177

Yes. You can remove those lines.
