I don't think Alvarez is still trying to secure his place in the Manchester City's squad he's already got his place already, and with Bernardo Silva out injured, Alvarez is probably Man City best chance creator, perhaps along side Rodri, and De Bruyne is out for the rest of the year, so aside Haaland, Rodri and Ederson, there is no one else with a guaranteed spot that Alvarez. It's just all about what Guardiola does so very often, which rotate his squad but he doesn't quite have that luxury for now btw.
Bernando Silva out for Manchester City due to injuries, Jack Grealish returns from injury and may play against Nottingham Forest.

Manchester City where doing well even with out him, and now that he is back, he will have to struggle to keep his place in Pep's team. Alvarez will still keep starting.
922  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quality over Quantity on: September 22, 2023, 04:26:01 PM
Recently I've seen alot of threads where people just jump into writing an incredible episode without putting their readers into consideration.
I'm not a fan of reading very long articles and most times I think some posts ought to be simplified and summarized to get ease of attention and from my observation,  it seems most users confuse quantity with quality and think, writing very long post simply means the post has quality  which is wrong.

I've seen very short and straight to the point post doing extremely  very well on the forum and people ought to them learn from  them.
I read a lot of things daily, and unless I notice from the topic or the introduction that it is a discussion that has a good reason to be long, I scan through and look for the main points from each topic started. It saves me a lot of time and stress.

A long topic is not always a quality topic. I have read lots of long pointless before, and then very reasonable short topics with a point. The target of writing should be for effective communication and that happens when you have been understood. If your long writing does not make understanding easy, you have wasted the time of your readers.
923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 22, 2023, 04:00:32 PM
So How Much To Invest??
All newbies are not in the same financial level.

Some newbies are not investing in bitcoins because they are seeking where to invest in to get money from with their small capital, some newbies are doing okay financially, just looking for how to diversify their investments for the future so they have enough capital to invest big when they have understood the risks.

Newbies should invest little in bitcoins when they do not understand the risk, not when they know the risks, have the capital to invest big but just refusing to do it because they consider themselves newbies.
924  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: September 22, 2023, 07:09:05 AM
On this board I often see a lot of discussions related to investment and finance which tend to be large scale. However, to start investing we need capital. How do you find capital for investment?
Capital can be gotten from your savings if you have any, if you do not have savings, then you can start saving for a target business to start. Capital can also come from grants, when you have a really good business idea, if you are able to organize it well into writing with a clear strategy to make profit, you can get an Angel investor.

Digital services are a business with minimal risk and small capital (no need to procure new inventory), for example design, printing, bill payment services, and many more.
There are still risk in the businesses that you have mentioned and they may not be minimal. For printing for example, if you are able to get a big printing deal that should be profitable to you and you make mistake in the printing or it does not come out well from machine, you will spend extra, sometimes even your profit in trying to correct the errors from the job.
925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the idea behind the creation of Bitcoin? on: September 22, 2023, 06:33:39 AM
Come to think of it ,understanding the reason something was created gives you the best sense of use and therefore an edge over others in the same space which in this case is the crypto space.
Bitcoin was created for use as a currency to terminate the need for third party control by the government. That is reason for bitcoins, yet for many of us despite having this understanding, we have accepted that as the best use for our bitcoins for the now, we should be hodling it, keeping it as an investment instead of a currency. That was not the reason for bitcoins, but I will not see someone who always use their bitcoin to make purchase and never keeping any bitcoins, as having an edge over me that has decided not to use bitcoins yet for what it was created for.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are no KYC casinos taking risks? on: September 22, 2023, 06:08:45 AM
so is it possible that those casinos doing their no KYC stuffs are not even registered?  [/b]
It is possible that they are not yet registered and have started illegally. Starting with no statement of KYC registration in sign up stage, deposit stage or even withdrawal stage in their "Terms of service" is a big red flag and sign of a casino that may just have been opened for a criminal reason, a casino with no intentions to remain in the business.

KYC requirement is not only to curtail money laundering activities, It is also helping to reduce the increasing number of underaged gamblers.

Become more stronger emotionally, even if you get criticized.

Members of the forum will say things as they want and most times are not concerned about how the person in subject may feel. It is not their duty to care about how you handle feedbacks that you get because like I have said before, to some people the things and language that you consider offensive are not offensive to them.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: September 21, 2023, 09:56:10 PM
That was my biggest mistake last season, I could say that literally cost not ending up on one of the winners list because, I was so hell bent on having Mo Salah for majority the beginning of the season, especially when Liverpool were having supposedly easier fixture, but Salah just was inconsistent, even though he provided a lot of points and one of the most in his position, my decision of captaining him, while having TAA cost me the ability to have a more valuable midfield options due budget.
The experience that many players have here playing is giving them an edge. I like to see when people recognize mistakes that cost them and from the experience avoid such from happening again. There was no last season for me, this is my first season and everything I am learning is from this season. I may not do as I expect this season, but I am pushing to see how well I can do in my first season.

Jackson is only one yellow card away from suspension. GET Alvarez for your piece of mind; he's in the best shape of his life right now, and with KDB and Kovasic out, he'll always play behind Halaand; he's the team's best creator right now. I might also get him.
This is very reasonable, Alvarez has been very consistent for Manchester City but he has only scored two goals in the premier league and Erling Haaland with seven goals making him the top scorer presently.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Secure Your Legacy, Educate Your Loved Ones on: September 21, 2023, 09:23:10 PM
This is the saddest story I have read today. The lesson from it is to make the most of your time while you are here, both for yourself, family and friends. Do not relent on asking all the questions you need to ask about bitcoin so that you will be able to secure the financial well being of your  future generation in your absence. Do not just learn about bitcoin and keep the knowledge to yourself. Educate your kids, educate your spouse. Though they may not understand it at first but with time, they would. It will be painful if a bitcoin holder die after accumulating 1, 2, 10, 15 or any amount of bitcoins dies and his family can't have access to his bitcoin because he didn't teach or educate them about it. They would have missed out on the potential for financial security and prosperity that Bitcoin offers.
Unfortunately, some people never plan for death but they die untimely and suddenly before they could start letting or introducing any of their family members to what bitcoins are. The moment you start hodling bitcoins and you realize that the bitcoin you have is now big and will be lost if you die, you begin to make steps to making sure that it is not lost when that time comes because it can come at anytime. In addition to transferring the access to your next of kin from your family, you should also have taken the step to make sure that they understand what exactly is being transferred to them on your death.

Pot A[/color] leaders have built a healthy lead, and our Matchday 1 freebet winners are:
MoSala
cryptofrka
rohang

Congratulations guys, a good start is always important for every race. I finished first too, but from the bottom, and I was awarded a wooden spoon for finishing GW1 in 52/52 Cheesy I made some wild choices and have learnt some little lessons I believe will help me get better result in the next GW. I know this poor result from this week will affect me, but something can happen in just one GW.

Over 80% of users filled in the sheets without mistakes. Pretty good eh?
It could have been better, but over 80% is a good statistic.
931  Other / Meta / Re: Considering new feature for Bitcoin Forum on: September 21, 2023, 07:42:57 PM
I was thinking that a new feature might be interesting for the forum.
Thank you for your suggestion, but the forum does not need it. The forum has been existing fine before you joined.

The forum is already interesting, all features are working fine in balance and there is no need for suggestions on extra features to be considered especially when the only reason for a feature requested is just to make the forum interesting, and you have made your request/suggestion based on what you consider interesting.
932  Other / Meta / Re: Fun thought on Bitcointalk having this particular feature. on: September 21, 2023, 07:30:56 PM
Well so I was thinking how would users feel if actually there was some kind of Voice translation writing mode here in the forum so as to aid those who are not too good at typing or expressing themselves very well through writing to actually speak out their thought and it gets written down correctly for them  Angry.
If you are not good at expressing yourself in writing, then you may not also be able good expressing yourself in speaking. If you are not good with writing or too tired to write, there's are "speech to text" applications that you can make use of to help write down words as you dictate to it, or you just take rest from the forum. You must not post everyday.  But for such a feature, it may be hard to implement and may not work 100% due to difference in accents that can make some words sound differently, and how very poor some people's speaking skills are. The feature will not be able to recognize or make anything meaningful from what they say.

Typical Atletico finish to a match  Grin
Don't know if to say it is fatigue or the players switch off during the final minutes of games, but it was very disappointing for them to allow a goal when the game was almost over. They left the Provedel completely unmarked.

wow i just checked  standings for this week and i got third place somehow, im so shocked as i didnt even put that much time to pick  the scores; less then 5 mins Cheesy

some how i got 5 exact correct scores  which is pretty crazy :O
A stroke of luck, it will not always happen in your favor.

I can't say I had a great first week. I made some predictions against general opinion, turned out general opinion was correct this time.

934  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: September 19, 2023, 05:21:21 PM
~
Making the registration process for gambling easy for new members is a way to make sure that new people who come across the casino and try registering will not be discouraged from completing the registration process. Registration has to be swift and easy for new members.

Also, casino's do not really need to know who you are when you are signing up to join them, It is more important to know the identity of who is withdrawing from the casino. Registration is not also so serious because until you make deposits and start playing on a casino to win, you are not really a recognized gambler by the casino.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Just HODL But HODL Wisely and Securely on: September 19, 2023, 05:12:14 PM
In the bitcoin community, there are those who have been holding for a long-term and also those who have just started hodling because they are moved by the fast approaching halving event in 2024. As we are holding bitcoin we should be vigilant because hackers and scammers tirelessly seek opportunities and loopholes to steal your bitcoin. Therefore, it is not enough to hold but HODL WISELY.
As you are looking for ways to get more bitcoins, know that other people are looking for ways to get bitcoins too, they do not have dedication to stack up bitcoins themselves from small investments and they are not ruling out getting it by illegal means which includes stealing from those who already have. That is why it is important to HODL WISELY. It will be depressing and a story you will never forget if after gathering bitcoins to benefit from the halving next year, that you then loose it all to scammers and cybercriminals online and other people offline because of 'I don't care" behavior.

I chose for Bayern Munich to hammer ManU and also on someone else, I do not remember exactly because I cannot see the results.
Bayern Munich are favorites for the game to win it by almost everyone, but for some reasons, I just have some faith in Manchester United not no win, but to manage a draw against Bayern Munich. Rasmus Hojlund will start, with Rashford playing from his favourite position and very likely Sergio Reguilon who was impressive in his debut at left back will also start. Dalot will play Right back since Aaron Wan-Bissaka will not play due to a Hamstring problem. Amrabat may also have his debut.

I predicted a 2-2 draw, I know very well that Manchester United can surely disappoint me.
937  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there another similar concept? on: September 18, 2023, 07:50:21 PM
° Can an online business besides just a gambling platform, which accepts Bitcoin as payments or for payouts, run a signature campaign on this Bitcoin talk forum, or is the term 'signature campaign' strictly attributed to gambling platforms?
If your business or company have connections with bitcoins in form of services, and you are interested in promoting it in a place that has a good number of people with interest in bitcoins, this forum is top on that list. If you have the funds to run a signature campaign to promote your company service, that is a form of marketing project for it, and you can do it in this forum.

So far, we have had casinos, mixers, exchanges, IP Stresser / DDoS tool companies like "[banned site]" run campaigns on the forum, we will see more.

From experience, the opinions of these people can just easily change, so best not to take whatever they say seriously. As a person interested in Bitcoins, have your own opinions that have been formed from strong facts that you have researched on.

With your own strong opinions, you will not be too concerned with whatever these people who claim to be financial experts, CEOs and billionaires have to say concerning bitcoins.
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not banned, yet not accepted on: September 18, 2023, 03:04:50 PM
In my country,  there are strict rules against local banks not getting involved in cryptocurrency transactions which simply means that the government  has banned all cryptocurrency transactions  though local banks but yet people still think bitcoin isn't banned.
The Government do not accept bitcoins, it means all it's institutions need to follow with what has been decided by the head. The bank is an institution of the government so they can be instructed by the government not to have direct business with what they have not accepted.

Now my question is this, do you think because bitcoin is still widely in use in countries where it has alot of restrictions makes it not banned or people who use it are breaking some sort of law?
The government institutions is what is banned from using bitcoins in most cases not individuals, except in cases where there is an exclusive label on having bitcoin as an individual as a criminal offence, then it becomes a crime.
940  Other / Meta / Re: Without merit... on: September 17, 2023, 11:58:27 PM
No need to say much but I'd like to know, without merit how can YOU rate a post as a quality post or how can you appreciate a quality post?
Merits is usually given as a reward for a post deemed as quality or valuable by reader when they come across it, can also be given for completion of a task or even for no reason.

The criteria for quality and valuable may be different for everyone, hence some post that you may come across, may be valuable to you because of the information they can provide to you even if they are not merited. And even a merited post may not also be valuable to you.

A highly merited post, that is a post that has been merited by many forum users is a quality post because many users have rated how valuable it is.
