--snip--
I was looking for partners on a new account in anonymity to avoid undue attention.

What did you drink? Your statement is ridiculous since you already reveal "your" identity. Anyway, i'd like to mention phrase "Don't trust, verify".

I think a more appropriate question is what he didn't drink. Sounds like someone who missed therapy.
I wonder how he even managed to solve the captcha during registration. Regardless, this is just another proof of freedom of speech on this forum. Everyone is allowed to trumpet whatever comes to his mind.
922  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: November 21, 2023, 12:10:10 PM
We sent them an email asking them to check and complete the transaction, since the money was received in their wallet. But just now, after 5! days - I received a message that such mail does not exist!
support@sinbad.io

Three or four people have already asked you simple questions about the situation, and you haven't been able to answer with a simple "yes" or "no".
If your attitude is the same when trying to contact support, it will be difficult to help.

Allow me to try an alternative route. I've send them an email to the address, let's wait if they replied me or if his transaction went through [whichever comes first]. If there's an issue with the email address such as what he described, my email should also be failed to reach them. If it does... well, we clarify at least one thing.

I wanted to do the same thing, to test their email address. Did you get a reply yet? Generally, it does not take much time to get a response from the server if the address is not correct.
They have another address on the website, has it been checked as well?

923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to see the whale transaction? on: November 20, 2023, 11:13:21 PM
Hello,
In some news, it is written that the whales of a coin or token have tried to sell or buy that coin or token, and in this way they recognize the time to buy or sell that coin or token. How can I see the transactions?

Thank you.

The moment you get information about these types of transactions, it is usually already too late to get involved and use them for trade. Usually, you would have to know who moved such a large amount and why, to be able to use such information.
It's not quite as simple as it looks.
924  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is 1miau fit for DT? on: November 20, 2023, 11:01:59 PM
TL;DR for everyone else:

From everyone else, this seems like an unnecessary and uninteresting discussion. Both of you mostly repeat the same thing and do not deviate from your positions.

TL;DR for everyone else:

Do you think it's fine to use the trust system against others for political disagreements?

You might not like it, but...
Adding someone to the distrust list is not a "use of the trust system against someone". It's a matter of personal opinion about someone's views.

Any discussion, where we present our personal views, affects what judgment other users will have about us. Even if two users have the same attitude towards something, that does not necessarily mean that they should be added to the trust list. Sometimes it is enough to see someone's way of expression, regardless of the topic being discussed.
A political discussion will show someone's character more clearly than, for example, a discussion about which miner is more efficient. Also, some users avoid participating in political discussions, even if they have something good to say. And that ignoring gives some picture of these users.

In the end, we mostly don't know each other here personally and we make our judgments about others based on what is presented or written here.
925  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetInAsia stealing user funds, do not use this agent! on: November 20, 2023, 09:55:57 PM
Upon investigation, it has come to our attention that the incidents of stolen funds were largely attributed to users accessing phishing websites that mimic Orbit Exchange, our partner platform. These fraudulent sites aimed to deceive users that are googling for Orbit-related keywords, into providing sensitive information, consequently compromising their accounts. We strongly advise all our users to exercise extreme caution and only access BetInAsia through the official channels to avoid falling victim to such scams.

It's not very clear to me. After stealing user usernames/passwords, why did the hackers place bets that they would surely lose? How did they get the money out of there in the end? Why didn't they, like all other crypto thieves, just withdraw to their addresses?

on the link shared by the OP, there is information that there is already a proven accusation that your employee bagged the money.

Look:

https://haxor.pl/

Bitcoin wiki and forum.

We saw. What to do next?
You did the easier and simpler part of the job, registered the domain, installed two scripts and added the donation address.
I am quite curious about the basic idea and what you want to achieve with this site. What exact problem did you recognize, and which will your service solve?
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there fewer women Than men involved in Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2023, 04:09:37 PM
Another important factor is that women are generally less willing to take a risk than men, and since Bitcoin is pretty new and very risky, no wonder that fewer women are interested in it.

If I were to take my wife as an example, women are not really supporters of the hold, especially not in the long term.  Grin
929  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: November 20, 2023, 02:25:51 PM
No, because one of my close friends confirmed the authenticity of the wallets, and as far as I know, they were delivered by MJ.

I know about it, but only one wallet was tested, which is not a guarantee for the others. Just for the record, I also received one Betnomi Ledger.

Also, don't ignore shipping costs and possible taxes. This can vary a lot, so it can happen that someone will pay almost the same price for delivery as if he were to buy it himself. Or, if you give a choice, what are you going to do with 30 or 40 wallets that the winners didn't want to take over?

For the newbies who win a prize

It is about rewarding users who made a specific contribution to the forum during the year. In this contest, beginners have very little chance to win a prize, at least that's how it was until now. This makes the whole thing even more ridiculous.

930  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Urgent!!! Lost 2FA Code 😰 on: November 20, 2023, 01:58:44 PM
Even when I click the email all I  get is an error, I just want to reset the 2FA  Please help

This is not the best place to ask for help resetting 2FA on freebitco.in. Better try in their thread, as far as I can see they have an official representative there, so maybe he could guide you in the next steps https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.27060

Also, be careful, always check that you are really talking to someone who is a representative of this platform and do not provide sensitive information.
931  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: November 20, 2023, 01:36:19 PM
Yes, but I cannot use both options since the minimum quantity of wallets that can be ordered is 100 units.

So have to choose one or the other (and the wallets definitely wouldn't bear the sponsor's name).

Last time one of the prizes was a Ledger wallet, sponsored by Betnomi. Didn't it turn out to be justifiably risky in the end, because Betnomi was accused of an exit scam, and now we still have their confirmation that part of the team left with the user's data?
After that, I wouldn't even consider this as an option.
932  Economy / Services / Re: Real estate crowd funding idea here Im property whale on: November 20, 2023, 01:26:00 PM
When i look at the options /futures of btc /gold i see until 2028 bull run. (Needless to say i have economics and financial background)
Needless to say USA will import inflation out of USA thanks Crisis in the other countries so they don't care about inflation they can still print money again.
About ECONOMY - Needless to say the new project midas yield will use the DEFI to rebalance debt ( Im expecting aave/uni biggest bull run over the years )
Now the property prices are cheapest it's best time to invest.

Needless to say, but it's too much Needless to say for an anonymous person here who wants to make some money for himself.

Quote
Now the property prices are cheapest it's best time to invest.

They are still not at the lowest level and you would probably get into a problem if you were to invest other people's money in it now. But I guess, Needless to say.

Quote
So let's collect money to buy to lease i have also partners who could do long term rent contracts also i have plan to launch new reality show "Kardashian style "so it will make huge profit trhough our partners.

Stick to that Kardashian show, when you make money there, then move on to something big like the property business. Do you think that those who have the money to buy luxury real estate need someone like you (or me)? Even only for advice.

Im not from USA but nowdays it's not a problem at all i can still manage and use internet and phone and when i need then i can book the flight any time to go in USA.

So you would manage your real estate business in the USA but via the Internet?

Quote
Im use to with that there is always some way to get things done and specially in USA

How can you claim this if you are from the USA? How many times have you participated in the sale of real estate in the USA?
I guess these are not conclusions based only on the experience of watching movies.

So who's with me ?

Doctors and pharmacists.
933  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is 1miau fit for DT? on: November 20, 2023, 12:52:49 PM
I'm not sure if this thread is open to solving your doubts about whether 1miau is eligible for DT, or if you're asking the community to exclude him from the DT selection. You seem insulted to me, because you had (perhaps still have) trust in 1miau and his judgement, and he returned it with distrust. Anyway, I see that he is still on your trust list, also the feedback you left him can be interpreted as a direct answer to the question posed by this topic.

1miau    2023-04-24        I have been following and interacting with "1miau persona" for years now, and I have no doubt that he is to be trusted

3- He removed me from his trust list despite being on it since 2019 as far as I remember. Cheesy

4- He added me to his "distrust" list.

If I may ask. Why is the argument that he moved you from trust to his distrust list? Is this strictly prohibited and is excluding you considered a direct violation of the "rules"?

This example you mentioned, its (1miau) negative tag is certainly not the best reference, because it is about the user who already has several negative feedbacks due to similar things. 6 negative, mostly accusations of trolling.

As for the "conflict" that started the whole thing, I'm quite surprised that you both went that far. A completely useless debate where both sides claim that their media sources of information are more honest than the other. That's the first thing I saw after a quick look at the discussion you mentioned.

To @1miau, (not to write in your thread specifically). You mentioned that we all need to have a thicker skin here, shouldn't that apply to you as well and that you don't fall into the fire through dramas like this? Because of politics, seriously?
934  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: November 19, 2023, 08:56:48 PM
We transferred the coins to their wallet, due to the fact that the commission increased sharply - the coins took 2 days instead of 24 hours. Wrote a letter, attached a letter of guarantee - 3 days of silence without a response! We write in telegram - at first they read it - then they stopped reading it altogether!

First question, is the transaction where you send Bitcoin to Sinbad.io confirmed?

The Sinbad team has announced their absence these days, so there may be a delay in the response. Here is the confirmation of their campaign manager on the forum
As you know Sinbad management informed me last week that they will be away for sometimes, I am expecting them to be available with me anytime this week.

High fees, as well as planned leave, caused certain delays in solving issues. A bit of patience is required for everything.
935  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $225/w on: November 19, 2023, 07:02:57 PM
This section is for BTC campaigns, besides we are promoting a BTC mix. Therefore, payment must be in BTC.
It doesn't shock me, if this network issue doesn't calm down in the next few hours, reduce 1-2$ to move forward.

Well, given the circumstances, it shouldn't be a problem to use an altcoin for payment temporarily. The current situation is horrible for all Bitcoin transactions.

Perhaps we should also ask what Sinbad's business is like and how high fees affect it. I would not be surprised if here too there is a significant drop in the use of mixers and users are waiting for a better time to mix coins. Whatever, it is not good for business.

@Royse777
2 well 3 random thoughts

1) With fees being stupid high at the moment would doing the counts every week but only paying every other week be better. You (sinbad) pay less and we have less utxo to deal with when spending. The downside is people who rely on these funds might have an issue.

2) Same thought. More work for YOU but how about LN payments? Open a large channel and then just pay people. As I said a lot more work since you have to do them 1 by 1.

3) Getting back to #1 and fees. Altcoins if some people don't mind. Fees on LTC are just about 0

I see #s 2 & 3 creating more work for you, but saving others money.
I also know that others here do use alts / LN so it's a wash for them in terms of things like that but would save fees, and the stress that you see in some other campaigns of TXs sitting out there for a while.

-Dave

I would add the option that all participants participate in paying the fee, at least while the fees are high. There are 50 members in the campaign, deducting $1 from each to cover the fee is acceptable, and the total amount ($50) would certainly cover the costs.
938  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scams Bitcoin Mixers List and Services closed on: November 18, 2023, 04:13:57 PM
2. I think it's OK to leave those that are also inactive. The list will act as an archive of past scam bitcoin mixers. In the past, I noticed that scammers tend to make comebacks using domains of old mixers that had been shutdown before.

I am of the opinion, that all domains should be left listed, even when they become inactive. Someone may try to start a legitimate business at some point, and it would be good if there were a warning for domains with a scam history. Just imagine, you start a business, invest a lot of money in it, and suddenly you start being contacted by scammed users who want their money back, even though you have nothing to do with it.

It is still not possible to change the language. System error (code: anticsfr)

The script we are using is based on the Russian language, so it's normal that some minor issues, as you mentioned, may catch your attention. However, we have already addressed and resolved these issues. Please clear your browser cache and try again to check the user interface. Good luck!

Well, you use WordPress script here, and as far as I know, it is in English by default. I am not sure what kind of minor errors you are talking about here, except that it is an error in the bad setup of the WP script.

Is it possible that you were in such a hurry to present this here, and there are so many shortcomings?
I guess you should do all possible tests first, before publication, so only after that do you ask the community to help you with testing. Based on everything I've seen, I seriously doubt the capacity of this service.
940  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: November 18, 2023, 12:16:39 PM
I think Vod meant the current situation where DT1-changes "fake" wiping your Trust list.

It can be said that that part is completely unnecessary, The DT strength page is more relevant for that. It should only have changes made by the user.
Although I would listen to Vod's proposal, maybe there is a more useful solution.
