921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fine line between market investment and sports gambling on: March 25, 2021, 09:15:01 AM
In the broad sense of the word, both are gambling. There's not much difference between the two. It's just that there are various interpretations of the word, various contexts on which gambling could be construed differently.

Gambling could refer to placing bets on a game of chance or on a sports team as much as it could refer to taking a risk making a bid order in a stock market or on a crypto exchange platform. However, most of the time gambling in the sense of the former is more on merely having fun and taking blind chances while the latter is oftentimes understood as a serious undertaking which involves a lot of informed analysis.

At the end of the day, I don't think one should be made illegal while the other legal. But both should be highly regulated.

I agree with this, both have risks which can really make you earn profits or lose money.

Gambling is fun especially that you are playing different games, while in the market investment you are just observing the market.

But prioritizing market investment is a must, especially that it will make you somehow secured and safe compared to gambling that make you lose your money in a short period of time.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its coming i faster and would shock most people on: March 24, 2021, 03:53:54 AM
It is not impossible for bitcoin to achieve that milestone as we are really engaging into a more digital age, bitcoin will surely be used for that.

There are already a lot of famous platforms who already adopted bitcoin in their system including Visa, Microsoft, and etc.

We will surely see more about bitcoin engaging into mainstream and as soon as possible, we should invest on it and experience many opportunities with it.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling firms helping Government and people during quarantine, literally. on: March 23, 2021, 02:32:34 AM
Gambling is bad especially if the community is unhealthy and it is more likely to bring negative effect to people.

But if the gambling platforms also aims to help those people in needs then that's the time where we should support its agenda.

Not all gambling platform do have the same mindset like this because most of them only talks about getting rich and greed in terms of money. Hoping that more and more gambling platforms will engage to this kind of idea where we should also help those people who are starving and struggling to survive every single day so that people will not only have a bad impression on gambling activities.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being impredictable on: March 22, 2021, 04:40:34 AM
It is much better to play poker online just like most of the people here in this thread are saying because in that platform, they can't read your facial expression but only your actions.

So it is much easier to bluff there compared in an actual poker game which can pressure you so much and make you unfocused. Being predictable depends on your past actions and it will hardly affect your future action so planning is really required also based on your cards. But if you have the guts to bluff so much then it will just lose your strong hands as a poker player.

By that, you will end up losing so much opportunity and money while playing in that game.

927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Strategies best used to play plinko game on: March 19, 2021, 02:16:13 AM
In playing a Plinko game online, it only requires luck for you to win because it is in a random pattern and you don't need to have strategy to win.

In any online gambling platform or casino, those kind of games don't really require you to make strategies and work you ass off to win more money, it only needs luck and fortune.

I remembered when I last play Plinko online and in physical casino, you can somehow increase your win rate in the physical casino compared online. There's really a huge difference between the two platform so if you are really a fan of these kind of games then you should just risk your money online or wait for the reopening of physical casinos in your area.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OSCARS 2021- nominees and odds on: March 18, 2021, 07:02:18 AM
Only 1.08 odds for Chadwick Boseman? This could be a sure bet but I wouldn't play for such low odds.
From the odds I can say Nomadland must be a really good movie. I should watch it as soon as possible. We know odds don't give us winners but we also know Oscars are fixed to hell, just like Grammy's etc. 1.40 against 6, the lowest odd, it seems that other's winning chances are almost impossible.

I'm also shocked that I saw Chadwick Boseman with a low odds, we all know that he is a great actor.

Even if he is not here already, I know that he did his best fight his cancer and still do acting. They said that he is already diagnosed with cancer when he played Black Panther role in Avengers End Game. That means that he is really passionate with acting and he really deserve to win an Oscar but we have nothing to do with his odds.

Compared to Grammy's they said that this year's Grammy was shocking.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: March 16, 2021, 03:07:19 AM
It's in the grey area for me, casino's specially start up, really needs to attract new customer. And maybe this sort of fake bets or fake money could be a good tool in the beginning. But after that, they should stop promoting their casino's this way.

It's a cut throat business, you really need to think and innovate on how to market your casino. And just like any other niche market, they could use any strategy to be ahead of the competition, just saying.

It is good to start a gambling platform that way just to lure people at first and prove something to them.

But if a certain gambling website will continue doing that thing then that's really a problem here.

As there are a lot of gambling platform competitors in the internet, it is necessary to make something effective to promote or to attract customers that will help you grow. It is our own strategy or idea on how we will make our businesses or our platform to become popular and so be it but we should also know our limits in fooling people that can also affect businesses negatively.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Internet connectivity - Gambling wins/losses on: March 15, 2021, 01:51:04 PM
Internet connectivity issue during gambling is really not a big problem because it will just make you become outdated about the results.

Especially if you are just betting in a sports or esports gambling platform, you have nothing to do with that and you're not that actual player so it is not an issue. But if you are playing in a game such as card game, dice, poker, or etc like skill-based games, then internet connectivity is really a big deal.

Unlike in luck-based game, you can see later if you won or you lose that certain round, game, rotation, or roll.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do I need to pay Tax on my Crypto Gambling Winnings? A guide on: March 11, 2021, 02:58:49 AM
Uhh, I'm not sure that question is asked 'that much' here to  be discussed in its own right. Still, if you're the real BitEdge then thanks for it anyway. To answer the general questions of the people when it comes to taxation and gambling, you have to understand that it depends case per case, usually country of operation being the biggest factor and licenses as well.

Some countries doesn't regulate the taxation in a gambling platform that well so it always depends on your location.

We all know that some countries are prohibiting all forms of gambling, online or physical, fiat or crypto, it doesn't matter as long as there will be no gambling happens.

So it is much better if you will use a licensed gambling platform and it is okay even if you need to pay for taxes with your winnings so that you can continue playing with it.

Taxes are normal and it is needed for the country's economic situation.

932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Estrada vs Chocolatito WBC, WBA & Ring Magazine Unification Fight on: March 09, 2021, 05:37:53 AM
It is absolutely Estrada who's eager to have a rematch and vengeance to Gonzales.

There are a lot of thing where Estrada can improve and I think that Estrada is in a good condition this time.

If Gonzales will underestimate Estrade because he defeated him in their last match then I think it is over now for him. Being too confident is sometimes not a good idea and I knew a lot of fighters who are super confident at the start then ended up being defeated or knocked out. I will surely place my bet on Estrada as he is an underdog and I really like placing my bets on those underdog fighters.

934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site for esport? on: March 08, 2021, 12:55:38 AM
Hello, which crypto betting site is the best for betting esport?
I have played esport on ggbet (limited now), vulkan (the same) and 1xbit (scammed me).
I'm looking for website with such markets like 1xbet/bit has but with crypto.
I play leagues like ESEA Advanced, mostly lower tier tournaments.

Try Loot.bet (they accept crypto) or Sportsbet.io and you might find on what you do look for. Good luck!

I agree with you that Sportsbet.io is good because it is where I bet for Esports and this platform is the best for me.

The processing of payment is extremely fast, it is updated, good anonymity when betting, odds are good, and also have a high security just like other platforms.

This is where I bet when watching CS:GO tournaments and I didn't have any problems with it.

I'm not yet experiencing and troubles or struggle when playing in this website so I hope you try it and somehow give feedbacks also.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Major Risks in Crypto Business on: March 06, 2021, 05:06:54 AM
Before you invest on bitcoin, you should know the risks and why it is the enemy of an investments.

If you don't know how to deal with risks and you don't know how to overcome them then you will surely have a problem on making your assets grow.

I just want you to understand that bitcoin is not always about winning money and earning profits. It is also about risk management and how can you adapt in the market movement because we all know that it is volatile. We are here to learn about this and to apply it in our investment no matter what platform you are in, even trading, or investment or holding.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever lost a bet in this way? on: March 05, 2021, 02:48:06 AM
Now, my main question,
What if you didn't cashout your potential winnings and then suddenly, the game changes and let's say that you placed a bet on a Soccer match between Team A and B and you believe that Team A will be the winner (based on less odds and past performances), the score is 1-0 and time is 89 minutes. Now, if Team B manages to score one goal at the last minute and set the score to 1-1, won't you regret that you were so close that you must've cashed out your bet, but lost big due to that last minute goal? This happened to me a few times and I bet it may also have happened with many of you. So, have you ever lost a bet in this way?

You have nothing to do with that, you are playing gambling which is really full of risks and it depends on you if you want to make it more profitable for you.

Sometimes it also depends on you on how you will act depending on your patience, skills, and discipline.

If you don't want to regret for something then you should play safe if you want that.

If you feel that you are lucky enough then try to take advantage of the odds and bet what you can afford to lose.
937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone placed esports bets? on: March 04, 2021, 07:31:10 AM
Hey guys,

I am currently attending the ICE London event today and there is evidently a massive focus on esports this year. So I wanted to find out if anyone has recently bet on anything esports related?

There was a live esports game today (CS:GO) at ICE with GG.Bet covering the betting, with the match taking place between Mad lions and OG esports.

You can watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnMYAd_O0xk

Let me know if anyone bet on this game!

I've never tried to bet in a live FPS esports game even though I played a lot of games like Valorant, CS:GO and COD etc.

But I tried to bet in games like DOTA 2 and LOL which is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, because of the hype of other gamers.

There are a lot of people who are betting in DOTA 2 and the prize pool is always high compared to other games. Maybe soon I'll try to bet in a FPS games like that, I'm updated in our local tournament but I just don't feel about betting in that game because it is really unpredictable on which team is the best.

938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders - May 8 on: March 03, 2021, 02:54:22 PM
Being straightforward and a fan of Canelo, I will surely place my bet on him even if Saunders is also a good fighter.

I really believed on Canelo's head movement, skills and strategy inside the ring so no doubt that he will win this matchup.

But I think that the odds will be my problem here, I know that many people will also vote for Canelo but I don't want to change my mind.
939  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: March 02, 2021, 01:43:14 PM
That's the dark side of gambling in some countries which is really unfair even if you check it in every angle or situations.

Gambling is sometimes involved in a syndication which makes rich people become more rich and poor people becomes more poor.

That's the reason why people are not engaging in gambling depending on places where these things are common to exist. Governments doesn't care about other people's bets and they are only focusing about economic growth and their own profits. Let's accept the fact that these things are existing and we have nothing to do with this but to avoid it.
