942  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: June 17, 2015, 11:21:16 PM
Spending that money was an investment.

How many rubes saw that shitshow that was the Miami conference and piled more money into his pocket? Didn't a major part of the operation fail that weekend but idiots pointed to the private jet and bodyguards and spotlight as signs that everything was going to work out and a green light to hand more money over?

Only if you neglect the fact that the money has to come from somewhere. I'm a bit lazy to go quote myself but my first question was "who's paying for this?" since 2 body guards might cost around $500 an hour so if the only income is from selling Coins and you have big costs on meaningless stuff like body guards, high end hotels and private jets, you then need to sell more Coins to pay for it and as a result would drop the market. Dropping the market doesn't matter if you have a near infinite supply of Coins coming in when it's just you getting 350% compounding but for everyone else getting 5% it makes it impossible to achieve any profit if the market drops 30% and then that exaggerates the decline because people will panic and sell at a loss.

You are forgetting that GAW didn't pay a cent for their coins, they created them with a snap of their finger. They also had all the money from hashlets/maintenance fees and other things that didn't exist. The price should have crashed from day 1, but Josh's empty promises and spending this money caused idiots to keep buying.

No I was not forgetting that, if you have a huge premine and then no other funding then all funding has to come from future investors. The ones that would keep buying are the ones who are greedy because they would look at the cars, jets and exuberance and think that will be them but the fundamentals couldn't support something like that except for the few, at the expense of everyone else. Any decent investor wouldn't even get into some ICO like that anyways, atleast if you've already watched 99% of the other ICO's fail before that. There is almost always bugs and a drop of the market price after the first couple weeks so the real buy in period is about a month after any launch and by then you will already have a good idea of what a good buy in price is.

Had to smack together some screens but it's almost identical (if not better Tongue)

Fantastic! looks absolutely superb.

I sent you 3k CON from the Development Fund wallet for your help Smiley

Over the last few days I have been experimenting with split and combine thresholds, Block sizes, and nailing down all the little details for a theme competition. Poly Crypto provided a very detailed guide for theme's about a month ago so I have been polishing and checking over it and adding in details to help make it easy for people to understand.

As soon as I found out that he was paying $45000 to hire a private jet to Miami (and I think his hotel was $5000 or thereabouts) a few months ago I could see this coming.

$50,000! for a trip to Miami!?

Private jet, lololol

Save so much more money by going coach, it's what? a 4 hour trip? Discounts for travelling on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and booking a month in advance.

You could do that entire trip for maybe $3000. Flight there and back would be about $650, hotel at $100 a night for a week $700, food and spending money for a week $1650.

Some funnies from GH - seems that Garza has borrowed money using gaw.com as a collateral:

Guess Garza needs money for lawyers? I wasn't aware that he owned a 3char dot com. Wasn't it gawminers com?

He needs money for lawyers because as he said he made no profit from paycoin and all the money he made from hashlets he put in paycoin Grin
Such a martyr of crypto cause... A hard worker for the good of community.. Cheesy

Josh in court yet?

I heard he was back in the States and still has that 300k USD power bill to pay. I sincerely doubt he has the money to pay for it or maybe he does and would pay for it in Crypto?

Tons of people charged back their credit cards on him and were successful. Where's the action? this thread has been pretty boring lately.

All I have to say is FINALLY!

God, if I have to wait in line again for 30 minutes because the little old Pilipino lady behind the counter keeps making mistakes, you could put one person behind the burger machine and pay them twice as much.

#5 biggest bagholder  Cool

soon #6 Tongue

I don´t know what do wrong with adress claim.

I know how it works ,did it with http://cap.cryptocoinexplorer.com/rich , too.

I try it again, have to send my coins to another adress first.

Everything has to be exact. The name you are signing for needs to be the exact same name you enter into your client as the "message". and then copy and paste the signature and place it in the "proof" text box. If it doesnt work, just let me know the address you want and I can add it through the terminal.

Thanks:

is my adress, richlist #5 (hehe, cres)

name: 5ick3uffalo

By the time you start staking again, he may catch you.  Between Developer Appreciation Week, and his stakes it could be a heated battle.  Might have to set up Pay Per View for that one.  Cheesy

Can we go by how much is minted? That would be pretty interesting, surely 1500 Blocks can have more chance than 220 Blocks.

Not bad.
Hey Crest as i said if you want i can translate the OP to italian.
Yeah I think that's a great idea, I'll pass over some CON for it if you'd like.
I was wondering if you might be able to push your changes again for the 64 bit compile, there was a bad commit there somewhere and I ended up reverting it but I want to retest that and include it back into the source whether it's on the main branch or just set a 64 bit branch for now.
I'll push'em tomorrow.
For the translation, i can send it to you via PM once it's done?

You could post an Italian translation one yourself, I think it would be hard for me because I don't know Italian. How to answer questions?

Hyperstake still survive....and still alive and valuable
Hyperstake is getting stronger and stronger, but does it surprise you? It has one of the best Dev in Crypto.

I would have to agree as well, great at coding AND an awesome guy. Most people good at coding tend to have bad people skillz lol

Congratz devs Wink

WoW adress claim, cool.

edit: "Failed to Register Richlist Address". hmm

Feel free to pm me if you are having problems. Have had several people successfully register. So if yours isnt working I can help you figure it out.

I had registered and was successful but it didn't update immediately and registered again to have it fail but it has since been updated. I found the guide very straightforward and didn't have any problems.

I pushed the latest changes to this branch https://github.com/Crestington/ColossusCoin2/tree/Wallet-Work

I still am not sure where this RAM issue is that you guys have been experiencing but I was getting it where during the initial download, it would be trying to mint Coins but wouldn't and then hang as a result. If I were to remove my wallet and sync without it I would get no issues so somewhere it is trying to mint Coins.

I think I may have found the source of the extra RAM usage in that

in wallet.cpp line 1686

it should be

if(GetTime() > out.tx->GetTxTime() + nStakeMinAge)

instead of

if(GetTime() - out.tx->GetTxTime() > nStakeMinAge)

I have been trying to clean up the stake time estimates and pull my latest changes from PayCon, but there is one bug I am having a hard time to identify and fix and it's driving me crazy.

Address claim is up and running on the explorer now. If you want your name to show up on the richlist you can add it here http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/paycon/claim.php

Hey I tried to sign for my address in the address claim and followed the steps, I was successful and it said it was updated but when I went to check it was not showing me as the owner and wouldn't let me resign the address.

Yeah! so many Coins!

Thank you guys so much for this super awesome event! The main Development wallet currently has around 8,600 CON in it and I even Staked once with it so far with it Tongue

Let's make CON the best Coin it can be!
958  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: June 15, 2015, 11:03:39 PM

That's a good idea.  You could set it up so that a portion of each wallet balance randomly gets sent to an address controlled by yourself and tell them "reverse staking will create scarcity which will drive the price up".  That's the kind of horse shit those people seem to fall for.  Meanwhile you just dump those coins every day back to the suckers on crapsty of course.

genius! where can I buy this coin?? TO DA MOON <Upvote>

You could just do that by setting a higher fee when sending to another wallet. PayCoin employs destruction of Fees that reduces the float but destroying Fees is negative because it reduces the overall active Coins in the network.

PayCon adds the Fees back into the POS so we did something like this where we had several different wallets sending Coins to themselves with higher TX Fees (settxfee 30 will send a transaction with a 30 Coin Fee) and became "reverse Staking wallets" where everyone Staking during that period would have a chance of Staking those Fees. I even took it a little step further and set the wallets to automatically start at a specified time and a time drift between the intervals in case it was possible to game it in some way.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Want to work with your altcoin? on: June 15, 2015, 06:05:06 AM
Are you interested in working on your own altcoin? I am working on a new altcoin with a team of other developers and we are looking for some certain people to help us make this coin a reality.
We currently need:
Web designer
Pool Operator
Investors (to be repaid + interest or a stake in the coin)
Please Pm me if anyone can fill any of these! More info to be provided over PM's.

Why do you want to use a new Coin when you could work with an existing Coin? or do open source projects that many Coins can use?

I believe I have more to bring to the table in a new coin. This is due to the fact I am not 100% confident in all my own coding abilities and so with the development of a new coin there can be setup fund addresses and the such to raise funds for developers who can hire and work out new coin features they may not have been able to do. I believe I can code and manage a coin well but not so many brand new features on my own.

You should provide some more information about the coin and your plans and how many option you wan to give for developers, investors etc.

I have PM'd you the information.

How are you going to contract out these features if you are paying them in the Coin you want to make? Then they would sell for BTC and drop the market price and if they could already do these things, why would they need the Coin if they can just do it themselves?

That is all included for those who want to get involved, there is already a plan set out. People would use the coin not just for the coins features but for it's uses. Also it will have a number of features all in combination I don't think one coder could do alone.

Yes but I was saying that you could just aquire some cheap coin already on a market and build on that, could even rename the Coin if you want.

Hi everyone! We're still looking for anyone that has done development work on CON so they can be rewarded during Developer Appreciation Week. Don't be shy, send candlesticks or me a PM so we can put them on the list. The flow of CON gets underway tomorrow!
