I think it could be sort of avoided at some times, which would be very rare but it could possibly happen until a point. Like lets say you buy at 10, sell at 15 so you made a profit, someone bought from you at 15 and sold it at 20 then they made a profit and the person who bought from them at 20 sold at 30 and they made a profit too. As you can see in this cycle it's actually a linear increase and not a cycle and everyone made profit, some made more than others, some missed out on even bigger profits but they all made some profits. We need to remember that news websites are no longer what they used to be, in the past a news website only cared about informing the public about the events around the world, but now things have changed and they care way more about influencing the behavior of anyone that is willing to listen to them.
So you cannot really trust whatever you read on those sites anymore as they are trying to manipulate you to act a certain way, and as you may guess the movements they want you to make are favorable to them and most likely they will be very damaging to anyone that actually listens to them.
They have always cared about getting clicks, that’s the main thing that they want. As long as they write something that will get a lot of people to click on their website, they will write about anything. However, you are right about the fact that people are looking for things to listen to, and these days those news websites are not doing the right thing and just writing BS stories and suggestions and so forth that will end up making them hurt a lot. I would highly suggest that the best thing to do right now would be focusing on how you could avoid all those horrible websites, and actually find facts, because facts can't be changed, and it can't be tempered with. |

$20k is always possible because btc have been on that place, not just once or twice but a lot of times already. What is only hard for now is the actual bull run. Maybe $10k for the bottom is also possible because most predictions that I saw are $13k and $11k but yeah we shouldn't be affected by that. There is no special player in the Chelsea team that deserves to be begged to extend his contract with the club, every other person in that club is replaceable from the goalkeeper's to the Strikers.

Why do you think it's too early in the bull run? I too think a real bull run will happen in a few years and that this is a nightmare time for cryptocurrency. But since you and I have similar thoughts, as do many on this forum, then we are more likely to be wrong. The market is more often than not irrational and moves in the opposite direction from the crowd's expectations. It could be that all the fud associated with FTX will disappear and then good times will happen.
I feel like a good few years before we could go up a lot is because people usually rather see it move like that after the halving, and that’s usually the case for when the price goes up. If there is ever halving in crypto, if we look at the history you will see that it’s not that rare to see it go up after a year, it usually skyrockets and that’s really a common thing. So, people are saying that if we are going to have a bull run like that in 2024-25 or so, then it would be weird if we see it right now as well. I mean a break out increase in price in 2023, and then 2024 and 2025? That is unlikely, which means that either it won't be after halving, or it will be, and many think it will be. |

It’s definitely an old story, I remember the very first one I witnessed was in 2014 and there was also mt.gox which was already a problem back in those days, and even earlier. There is no way there is a good thing coming out of this exchanges getting hacked deal, and it’s too common which means that there isn't really a big problem at all if you could avoid it by putting your money somewhere safer. Exchanges have too much money, and I mean way too much, billions, which means that you should be protecting your money by just depositing and then trading and then withdrawing right away which would be the way to trade otherwise there would be a lot of trouble. |

I'm a bit surprised, at first there was a lot of talk about Binance and CZ's role in the FTX exchange crisis, CZ's backtracking on the FTX deal was a merciful shot at FTX's death, now these statements by CZ come as a surprise to me, I hope His intentions are really good because there is some talk about CZ's dream of becoming an unrivaled Crypto Emperor.

Why would he try to somehow get all of that trouble onto his plate? It's possible to stay at this mark if it can survive the wave that is happening due to the FTX dump. If investors will decide to buy back their Bitcoin in a different exchange then we might even see it going back to 19-20k and it will stay there. Because for me, that is our bottom but recent event changed that.
Have you ever thought of what if the FTX bankruptcy didn't happen at all? We can definitely be stagnant at 19k and all it takes is another good news to be in demand again.
I do agree that people who are acting quick to buy from these levels could definitely make a huge profit from it. Not that easy and wouldn't be really that amazing to do, but definitely going to help them in the short term for sure. Centralized exchanges isn't a ponzi if you only use the exchange feature and you wouldn't lose your coins since in staking you need to leave your coins on the exchange. I believe you're refer to Uniswap, Pancakeswap etc that's not a DEX, but they're just a swap platform. A real DEX doesn't hold your coins, similar like Bisq and it's really high security since the exchange never got hacked and the developer purpose is not to make money. This is the thing that bugs me the most about the crypto world. They do not even know what a ponzi is and they still like to talk about what type of scam something could be. Centralized exchanges are just like banks, they take people’s money and let them do whatever they want with it, while still keeping the ownership. You want to trade with it? Sure go ahead, you want to stake it, sure go ahead, you want to loan it out? Sure, just do that. But all the time the money stays in the exchange, same as banks. The difference is that when banks collapse, government bails them out, but when an exchange collapses, there is nobody to bail them out and they just bankrupt right away. |

It's my view that CZ is taking important initiatives to ensure the industry doesn't collapse. I hope this will help restore confidence in the community, and help make people realize that this is a dynamic industry, not a fly-by-night "money grab" scheme.

Actually with the recent event where FTX is bankrupt and the other exchange also got an impact if they hold FTT token, it doesn't effect Bitcoin price at all since it's about the exchange, not Bitcoin. But there's many stupid people who think Bitcoin isn't safe and then sold it blatantly, this make a short dump due to panic. Sooner Bitcoin would recover from this short dump.
There is always people like that and things like exchange bankruptcy is always a thing to take care about. It creates massive panic and people will follow the panic track to make it even worse. We don't know if Bitcoin price will slowly crashing despite this exchange's problem but it does create a huge news this month and it may affect something in the future. I do not think that bitcoin price will crash, neither slowly nor with pace, it is not going to crash. The reason why I think like this is the fact that people have seen what happened with FTX and they reacted to it already and it's done, there is no more reaction to give. The drops happen during the news cycle period and after that there is no reason to keep on selling as a whole community. We were at around 21k for a while, short period like maybe few hours and then we crashed under 17k and that’s it, that was the reaction. There is no reason for it to be like 14k or lower or something like that because we already showed all that we wanted to show as a reaction. |

These incidents have become really disgusting, we are moving towards centralization little by little because we moved towards third-party services and lost decentralization and the goal of inventing Bitcoin (creating a peer-to-peer payment method without a third party), our money will not be safe anymore because it is not in our hands, our money in The truth is in the hands of a third party who can simply delete, block or freeze our balance.
This is another big lesson that should make us not trust any third party services and hold Bitcoin in our secure wallets whose keys we own, because it has been proven that there is no secure central exchange and not even a secure coin except Bitcoin.
Centralization is not about the price, or even the control of the coins neither, it’s about control over the blockchain. It means that we shouldn't be really considering this as a threat since that won't happen. Rakitic and Modric are two good midfielders for Croatia, they are great players with almost the same quality. If you check all the previous world cups, there were a lot of retirements but not names as big as this before, there are no names as big as Ronaldo and Messi, those are the two greatest players ever in history of football and they are retiring on the same world cup, well at least from world cups.
