Declan Rice deal is said to be completed for €123m in total for Arsenal. This is a really huge amount and they had better hope he will be worth this deal. Because they have seemed really desperate to complete this signing for themselves. They even increased their offer a lot more after Manchester City's being interested in Rice also.

I heard it like €105m at first but it looks like the whole package is even bigger than that. After this huge deal I wouldn't expect Arsenal to pay a similar amount for another player in the same transfer window. They continue to make the team even younger by Xhaka's departure on one hand. Let's see how this will affect the team in the long term.
Declan Rice may not be worth that price to any other club, but to Arsenal he is worth it. He is a solid and fit player that can maintain and improve in performance season long and exactly what we need going to next season where the competition will be tougher.

Now waiting for Mbappe's decision in a few weeks whether he will extend or not, but obviously the closest rumor is that Real Madrid is ready to pay a high price as a release from PSG which will be sold this season, obviously I'm still very curious about Mbappe's feelings now for decided, would he sign the contract again?

Yes, in the end it is only speculation and cannot give certainty about Mbappe's real future, whatever they say I will only believe that in the end Real Madrid is the club that Mbappe will choose.
There are also strong suggestions that Arsenal will be his preferred destination if he decides to move to the premier league but he is very expensive and that may be the reason that this deal will not materialize.
Quote
Arsenal would be Mbappe’s preferred destination should he decide on a Premier League move, having been impressed with Mikel Arteta’s project at the Emirates.

Arsenal’s strong French connections from the Arsene Wenger era also make the Gunners an attractive destination

  • Has it aided you in overcoming gambling addiction (if you were addicted) or developing healthier gambling habits?
Healthier gambling habits I would say because I have become more aware that gambling addiction is real.

I have read topics here about how much people who let themselves become addicts to gambling are struggling to let go of the habit, and because of this, It has made me never want to add gambling to the list of other addictions that I have as a person.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you not hodling on: July 05, 2023, 08:52:40 PM
Now I want to know what really do you think is holding people back for hodling this period?
There are a lot of expenses this period, and even individuals with good financial discipline as having a difficult time keeping what they have saved for these kind of times, I am speaking from the situation of things in my country where the cost of petrol has increased and it is having an effect on the cost of other commodities. There is a need to change and adjust your budget to be able to cope with how expensive things have become. This is a challenge to the bitcoins that you have kept and planned not to tamper with.

Also because expenses have increased, there is less spare money to invest in bitcoins, investing in bitcoins now becomes a sacrifice that you are either willing to make or not.
965  Economy / Economics / Re: I cannot go home if I don't make a lot of money now!! on: July 03, 2023, 09:57:55 PM
tell me anything i need to do to make a lot of money. doesn't matter what, i would do anything to get all the money, even if it mean unlawful and unethical!
I don't know your current state financially, but you are too desperate for money, and decisions you make when desperate lead to endings that are usually regretted. If you decide to involve yourself in anything illegal and you are arrested by the authorities, you will be made to face the law, and if you are guilty, you will be jailed and you will do time in jail away from your family, the family that you will be ashamed to return to without money. Your home should be a resting place, and a place to strategize from when life kicks you down, do not run from home because of money.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting bitcoin besides the profit making idea. on: July 02, 2023, 06:40:29 PM
what more other convincible informative characteristics and benefits  can you give out to someone who has no idea about bitcoin besides the wide established knowledge that it is a digital currency that should you invest in for long you're going to be profitable or get rich by credit of a bull run?
To every person there will be something that will attractive about bitcoins to them, so when having a discussion with someone about bitcoins, always try to talk about all the benefits it has.

Talking about all the benefits in general and elaborately will be more convincing than focusing on just one point.

If you have limited knowledge about bitcoins and only know about the benefit of being able to make profit from it, you need to equip yourself with more information about bitcoins before you try convincing someone else, just incase you are asked a brilliant question by the person you are trying to convince, a question that needs answering to convince them that you really know what you are talking about.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 02, 2023, 11:07:39 AM
Trent Alexander-Arnold had really performed brilliantly as a right full back for Liverpool until last two seasons when his performances diminished and lost form, recall his ability to overlap along the flank and his ability to cross ball to his main striker was topnotch just like Roberson doing the same job at the left flank, though Trent Alexander-Arnold might also has his weak point defensively well Gareth Southgate played him in midfield in their recent matches for England personally I think he only play against minnow countries e.g Malta   until when England play top football countries and prove him himself in those matches that is when I will rate him.
Even if it was a small country that Trent Alexander-Arnold played in midfield against, his movements and the passes he was able to complete from the midfield really showed that he can really do very well if played in Midfield against any team both at the National and club level. If klopp will give him a chance to play in Midfield, I believe we will see an improved Trent Alexander-Arnold that will be able to create more chances for Liverpool from the midfield.
968  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: This increment of Fuel price in Nigeria on: June 29, 2023, 10:36:30 PM
one thing I love about most Nigerians is that regardless of how difficult it is to survive in this country people always device means to survive.
This is both our blessing and our curse.

Marketers project N700/litre petrol
N700/litre will soon become the normal price, and we will be heading to N1000/litre maybe before this administration is over.

I just dey pity all those businesses wey dey depend on petrol and diesel powered generators to run their business, because they will really be running at loss and those that cannot adjust will be forced to close up.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first purchase in btc: the craziest, the most moving, the most expensive on: June 28, 2023, 10:30:42 AM
What was your first purchase in btc that was a special event for you : it was nice, cute, exciting or great. If you hodl, will you ever spend your btc ?
I have not used bitcoins to purchase a car , a house etc but what I have used bitcoins for is to pay for services rendered to me by a friend who requested that I make the payment in bitcoins so they can by that means have some bitcoins of their own.

I am more commited to HODLing the bitcoins I have for the now than using it at every opportunity I get to make payment. I am trying to be more used to keeping bitcoins than spending it.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 27, 2023, 01:08:13 PM
I am not trying to tell anyone to sell their properties to buy Butcoin, I have more lands that's why I am able to sell for Bitcoin, I think it's wrong having a land or two and sell because of Bitcoin, but if you have more, it's going to worth the risk, nothing grows insanely well like bitcoin does.
You have said it all in this little paragraph. The decision to sell your property for bitcoin will depend on the number of properties you have, the importance and the profit potential of the property whether it has future prospects or not.

Land is a profitable property to have, but in some few cases, you can run at a big loss holding on to some properties when you should have sold them off and invested in something better like bitcoins.

Do not hurriedly sell off your land for bitcoins, if it is something you must do, it should be a decision you make on your own and not out of pressure.

971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.7 billion people are still Unbanked; chances for bitcoin on: June 24, 2023, 07:43:46 PM
Hence with 1.7 billion people staying unbanked, added to the increase of people who don't rely on banks, Bitcoin provides them with numerous options why they should use bitcoin for different purposes like sending money to relatives in different countries at a very low fee.
The chances that the 1.7billion unbanked individuals will choose to only adopt bitcoins without using any kind of normal fiat bank. There is barely anyone who uses bitcoins  and don't have any bank account. Even if there is the benefit of making transfers over long distance easily with bitcoins, not all your beneficiaries are using bitcoins yet, so they still need the banks sometimes.

Bank marketers are also very hardworking, they can infiltrate these places where there are many unbanked and convince them to open up bank accounts faster than the story of bitcoin will reach them.

After successfully getting Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea, Manchester City are competing with Arsenal for Declan Rice from West Ham United. Its difficult for Arsenal has fighting with Manchester City because all player will priority for joining with City has bigger chance winning tittle than joining with Arsenal. Exactly with Manchester City always dominance winning Primer League every season give interested reason for Declan Rice priority with Manchester City offering than Arsenal.

But have little bad viewed if join with Manchester City, Declan Rice can't guarantee will get regular position in Manchester City midfielder actually there are have Rodri and De Bruyne have guarantee as regular player. Declan need to fight for one midfielder position but in Arsenal actually guarantee get regular position.
Declan Rice will play more in Arsenal than Manchester city, but he will be interested in a move to Manchester city, than move to Arsenal. Almost everyone wants to play for Manchester city presently, and if the club see's you a player they need, the players know that it is some kind of privilege.

Arsenal should begin working to get the alternative for Declan Rice in case he chooses Manchester city. Romeo Lavia and Nicollo Barella from Inter Milan are possible alternatives currently.

973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 24, 2023, 06:50:56 PM
The US has all it takes to host the world cup. They have quality facilities, tight security and good infrastructures, which makes them far better than Qatar. US will spend less because they will only have few things to put in place.
This is going to be a very big world cup with more teams than the usual number. Games will not only be played in The United States but also extending to Canada and Mexico for some games. Soccer is not very popular in the United States, this world cup that they have been given the rights to host will change all that. Soccer will become as popular as football and Basketball.

In terms of Logistics to handle and ensure that the tournament goes smoothly, the United States will not have a problem, and they are very capable of hosting a tournament that will be remembered
974  Economy / Economics / Re: What roles does the poor play in the Economy? on: June 24, 2023, 03:45:39 PM
True, when people don't have high-paying skills, they can still do simple jobs (but with low salaries). Without people who take that kind of job, the economy would slow down or maybe the society would even crumble. If no one cleans streets, toilets, etc., it would be a disaster. Also, most people are poor at some point in their life, and they can escape poverty by continuously learning and working hard. In other words, it serves as competition and competition is good for the economy.
If everyone is rich, there will be a big imbalance, nobody would want to be the employed, but the employer. You will find no one available for meagre jobs and those that provide meagre services will be unavailable creating a deficit in society. People who are financially poor play the role of keeping the economy balanced because there will be an imbalance if everyone is rich. So there will always be people who are considered poor even if the criteria to classify someone as poor changes.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie Crypto Advice on: June 24, 2023, 03:19:15 PM
Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
If this is not a scam, I will tell you a common advice that we give to every newbie to cryptocurrency and this forum which is that you should not make decisions  about Investments on another person's research. In this situation this is your retirement money you are talking about, and you have to be very careful where you choose to invest it. If you believe the words of a stranger all in the name of recommendation without you doing your own research to verify what you've been told, it can be a big mistake.

Even if you are told to invest in bitcoins, still try to find out why you should. invest in bitcoins on your own.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 05:01:28 PM
would you prefer to gamble in a casino and make some money or learn about futures trading and make some money?
I will choose Futures trading because I have more Interest in trading than gambling so I will not get bored when investing my time to better understand futures trading. For a serious gambler who likes the game, they will have the excuse that they are both for the purpose of making money so they will prefer more to gamble than learn something new that is as boring as futures trading.

Some gamblers may have the believe that within the time that they spend trying to learn futures trade, they would have been able to correctly predict some games and win some money while gambling.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 23, 2023, 01:24:27 PM
We could also bet on "if the fight will happen or not" Smiley
News of the fight got a lot attention, but the fight is not going to happen. It is even funny to imagine these men in a ring together fighting for nothing particularly just for bruises.

No fight will happen, if you follow Elon Musk's mother on twitter @Maye Musk, you see that she has already ended any possibility of the fight happening. If it did, it will be difficult to predict who the winner will be.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 23, 2023, 11:12:26 AM
PSG is taking the right choice if the club wants to sell mbappe asap. Please, mbappe goes to the real madrid.
No need keeping a player who you know will not want to stay. PSG made Mbappe to know how important he was to them, at one time Mbappe looked indispensable to the club owner's, good they are back with their senses to know that the club is more important than any player, and any player who does not want to stay should not be forced to stay.

Mbappe to Real Madrid is the deal that everyone has always been expecting, and it finally going to happen. With Medal hungry Mbappe in Real Madrid, they have a real chance to win any competition they play this coming season.

Anyway, many players, who were bought for an absurd amount of money have failed in Real Madrid(like Hazard and Bale). I really want Kilian Mbappe to succeed in Real.
Hazard was the biggest flop of all the transfers. Mbappe's own can never be like that because of how he plays which is completely different from Hazards style. Mbappe plays with a different mentality.

980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: AFCON Qualifiers 2023. on: June 22, 2023, 08:55:10 PM
The last time the super eagle won any major trophy was in 2013 and that's 10years ago and guess the coach that won us that AFCON tournament, it was the late Stephen Keshi (may his soul rip). We need indigenous coach if we want the super eagle to be playing good football again. José Peseiro contract shoudn't be renewed, he hasn't proven without any doubt that he can deliver this boys to glory. I haven't seen anything special about his style of coaching or playing. Infact it seems the boys are just playing anyhow they feel and their games are just horrible. Imagine they almost lost the last game if not for the late winner from Kelechi Iheanacho.
I agree, not entirely with everything that you have said, but the part that the performance of the super eagles has not been impressive in most of the games that they have played since the new coach.

Indigenous coaches need to be given an opportunity and not only should foreign coaches have preference for the job.

It is difficult to say at this stage because I think it is still too early, this is still early stages of his campaign and I believe he needs more time with the team probably through the AFCONS to determine if he is the right man for the job or not.
so you agree that the NFF should gamble again with this upcoming AFCON? We have a very good chance now to win the AFCON with the quality of players we have now, a good coach is good to compliment them will do it.
