I have bitcoin, some alts & a couple of real estate properties. I am not interested in diversifying into anything else. The majority of my net worth is in bitcoin & I intend to keep it that way. The current price will look like chumps change in a couple of years.

And some alts. I think that investing in some alts is a good idea. It doesn't have to be a big investment, depending on someone's possibilities, but setting aside 5% (more or less) for some interesting projects can pay off in the long run. And there are some good projects around that have a nice potential. In every bull run some new alt makes incredible progress.
Indeed, I do not recommend anyone to invest in altcoins as they are riskier than bitcoin, but it would not be so bad if we just invest a small part of our capital in them. Although altcoins have great risks, if we choose the right coin, it is clear that its profits will be very significant compared to bitcoin. Many people only focus on bitcoin and think that all altcoins are useless, which is really a waste because they are missing out on bigger opportunities.

We invest in cryptocurrencies to make profits, so we should not be too stubborn and ignore opportunities outside of bitcoin. As long as we invest a small amount, it will not cause too much damage to us.

There's nothing wrong to invest at altcoin it would really depends on the coin you would invest with, cause for me I've invested in altcoin before but only for a quick-flip it's not much but I've still profit. But still it's not advisable for a long term investment due to its volatility is random like it really depends on the project some would literally rugpull it. Well I agree that maybe your spare capital or money maybe you could try small amount first for your own experience to altcoins if it suits for you so you can compare it to Bitcoin, what I mean is that you can make your own strategy with these coins. Still if you want to secure just stick with BTC.

Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with altcoins but it's confusing how many people consider them to be trash. If we need security, an asset, a currency of the future, then bitcoin is the choice. But if we are here for profit, then altcoins are an opportunity worth trying, just like those who took the risk of investing in bitcoin when the price was below 1 USD. We want great success, we need to step out of our comfort zone.

Long-term investment with altcoins, I think ETH will also be a good choice, the rest should only be used for speculation, do not put your trust in any altcoin projects, there is no technology associated with them, they are just empty promises. Bitcoin should still be the bulk of our portfolio because its safety and returns aren't too bad.

It hasn't been heard for a long time that Philippe Coutinho will now join the Qatari team Al-Duhail on loan from Aston Villa. An agreement has been reached and all of Coutinho's salaries during the loan period will be fully borne by Al-Duhail. Had received offers from Besiktas and Real Betis but Coutinho has rejected both and prefers to go to team qatar. I think there is nothing wrong with Coutinho accepting this offer, after all this is only on loan and later he will still be able to return to Aston Villa and continue competing in the EPL. Maybe at this stage of his career he wants to make more money and that is a fact that probably everyone already knows.
Shame what happened to his career after he left Liverpool. It kind of fizzled out, he was a real star but for whatever reason it went downhill once he left Liverpool.
That's right, I still remember very well how he performed when he was at Liverpool and every time he dribbled the ball past his opponent, that's where Coutinho would take a hard, curved kick towards the opponent's corner post. That's when I was so excited waiting for his kick repeatedly when he was dribbling. Then, with such ability, Barcelona is very interested in signing him at a cost of 135 million euros and making him one of the most expensive players. But unfortunately after being with Barcelona, his performance declined so much that Barcelona had to loan him to other clubs from Bayern Munich to Aston Villa. Since then there have been no more significant developments, forcing Barcelona to sell him and finally Aston Villa made him permanent. Apart from all that, we certainly know that Coutinho's level is no longer equal to the current competitive competition, so we have to understand his decision.

LFC_Bitcoin, It is actually very sad how his career turned out after Liverpool. His Barcelona days were really bad.
After that, he actually never recovered, to be honest. He was once compared to the best of players.
But now that is just a distant memory. Coutinho was a great player. The only thing actually rememberable about himself is the past that he had with Liverpool.

I have fond memories of him, he was a really good player. I totally do not blame him if he feels like going there to earn really good money.

There is no reason for anyone to actually blame him or dislike him, just because he wants to go to a certain club to earn a little more money.
And I do not understand the people who actually do that. After all, he is a professional footballer. What do you expect?

983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 06, 2023, 03:36:44 PM
It is clear that currently it is difficult to find a striker who has abilities as good as Mbappe, but football is not just a game for 1 player but 11 player, so when PSG is able to find a suitable and compact striker in their front line, i am sure that PSG will no longer be dependent on Mbappe.  Actually, Neymar is also a very good striker but his ethics are not good, Enrique is quite an experienced coach, he must be able to prove himself to make PSG much better than last season even though Messi and several other star players are no longer at PSG.

PSG's current position is in 2nd place in the Ligue 1 standings, they are below Monaco, which has a much cheaper player value than PSG.
The media has tried to play up a much bigger issue concerning PSG and Mbappe, as if without these players PSG can't do anything. Luis Enrique can prepare the best squad for PSG for the next few seasons and if management gives him time then I'm sure PSG will be even better in the future, especially when they play in the Champions League. Now what he needs to do is find the right replacement on the front lines if Mbappe plans to leave next season and they also have to get used to being without Mbappe if they want to achieve success in several competitions.

I agree that Mbappe has an important role in the PSG squad and he is one of the best players at the moment in terms of scoring goals and playing skills. But PSG can't hope for Mbappe forever because every player wants to play at a different club to achieve their individual career. Currently they are two points behind Monaco and Luis Enrique's job is to focus on winning the next match.
I think the matter of Kylian Mbappe's future isn't supposed to be the a case of discussion now that the transfer window is over. Kylian Mbappe is a Paris Saint Germaine player and will continue to be their player till the end of the summer. Luis Enrique has been given all the necessary backings he needs to succeed in his first season as a PSG manager.
Though Mbappe wants to leave the French capital to continue his footballing career, but it's been reported in the media that he's going to sign a one year contract extension with the club so he can be sold for reasonable amount of money when he'll be leaving next summer.

PSG will have to start thinking about the future without keeping Mbappe in the conversation from now on. Because I think everyone knows that he is definitely going to leave the club as soon as he can. So PSG will have to think about what they can do in the future without him and how they can improve.

Obviously, he is a very good player, there is no doubt about that. But it is very clear that he does not want to stay in the PSG club. So I do not think that the conversation is, about whether they are able to do anything without him or not. The actual conversation is about how are they going to approach the future knowing that he is not going to be a part of the squad.

Al-Ittihad has again made an offer for Mohamed Salah and this time the amount is so fantastic 251 million euros. Could it be that this time it will be quite difficult for Liverpool to refuse the offer from the Saudi league team? and I think maybe that kind of money could be put to good use to buy new players next winter according to the club's needs. Mohamed Salah is already 31 years old and Liverpool should start thinking about who will be his successor. But the problem is that if Mohamed Salah leaves at the start of this season it will clearly be a loss for Liverpool because they have not prepared a suitable replacement. Now Liverpool will definitely be very confused by this big offer and let's see what steps Liverpool take.
It is surely unbelievable that Al Ittihad wants to pay 251 million euros for Salah. Although he is a top player, he is no longer a young player and he may already pass his golden performance. Although he still contributed well for Liverpool now, we don't know what to happen with him in the next 1-2 years. He can drop his performance because he is getting old, and it is not impossible if he begins to have injured problem.

I assume Liverpool will consider to sell Salah if Al Ittihad wants to wait until the season is over. I doubt if Liverpool wants to sell Salah in this season. He still has a big role for Liverpool, it will be difficult to get his replacement. But for selling him in the end of the season, it is very possible because Liverpool has a lot of time to look for his replacement.

This is definitely an unbelievable offer. Liverpool should understand that they are saying no to a huge amount of money. I don’t think this amount is going to be offered for him again in the future. Liverpool should sell Mohamed Salah. But at the same time that makes me think if they are going to face the troubles that they did after they sold Sadio Mané. And this is definitely going to be a risk. The question is, are they willing to take that risk?

If it was me, I would have definitely sold him, because as you said, he is getting old and he’s going to start having injuries very soon. It will be better for Liverpool to look for a replacement as soon as possible and approach accordingly.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 05, 2023, 11:47:20 AM
A lot of people are saying that Bayern Munich is going to win this match without too many complications, but I beg to differ. I definitely think that Bayern Minnich is going to face a little trouble in this match. Bayern Munich might actually end this match with a draw. It will be hard for Bayern Leverkusen to beat Bayern Munich, I will agree to that. But for them to get one point from this match is not unthinkable. Obviously, Bayern Munich is going to be the team who will be the favourite going into this match.

At the same time, it is not going to be very clever to count Bayern Leverkusen out of the match. They have shown good performance so far and they are capable of winning the match. Just because it is not probable doesn’t mean it is not possible.
Bundesliga is highly competitive, only the best team will keep ranking top on the table. I would predict the game base on their previous records, Bayer Leverkusen won in their last meeting but Bayern Munich have always been in full dominance interms of winning. Thomas Tuchel will face Xabi Alonso, competitive game and difficult to predict. Bayern Munich will host Bayer Leverkusen who are currently topping the Bundesliga table in the present campaign. Both sides are tough, I give my credits to the Bavarians because they're the giants and always have the upper hand to beat their opponents.

Nobody is actually going to choose Bayern Leverkusen over Bayern Munich. At least that is what I think. After all, they have been winning the Bundesliga title for 11 years back to back. I think that gives them enough credibility alone. Of course, Bayern Leverkusen is playing well. But the probability is better for Bayern Munich.

...
But the fact is that in the end it was Bayern Munich who won the trophy at the end of the season. I see that the only interesting thing about the Bundesliga is that the competition between clubs competing for the European zone is more exciting than the competition for the championship. Clubs such as Leverkusen, Frankfurt, Union Berlin, RB Leipzig, Freiburg, Mainz and Wolfsburg always provide color with their surprises which result in tickets to European competitions.

However, in the match between Bayern Muchen and Leverkusen, it is not certain that Bayer Munich can win easily. Leverkusen haven't even disappointed with their performance so far, Leverkusen have a very talented squad and with who they have brought in this season I am sure they will trouble Bayern Munich in the next game.

I will definitely be interested to see if Bayern Munich actually gets pushed by Bayern Leverkusen. We know that a lot of good teams have not been able to do that. The fact that Bayern Leverkusen might pull that off if they do, that is going to mean Xabi Alonso is a great coach. Not gonna lie, I really want him to go to Real Madrid and I want to see him and Xavi go head-to-head against each other.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 04, 2023, 05:59:54 PM
Very interesting of course, because Bayern Munich will play at home against Bayer Leverkusen on the next matchday.
For sure its an advantage sometimes when you playing at home , but that has nothing to say as we have seen it in Dortmund.
But thats another story with Dortmund and we will see a very high and intensiv game between Bayern Munich and Leverkusen.

But yes, after all Bayer Leverkusen has basically improved very well from last season too
Leverkusen has improved there things already in the middle of the season or since Alonso was become the Coach there.
I would say that Leverkusen at the moment has for sure chances to can compete with Munich.

A lot of people are saying that Bayern Munich is going to win this match without too many complications, but I beg to differ. I definitely think that Bayern Minnich is going to face a little trouble in this match. Bayern Munich might actually end this match with a draw. According to Fabrizio's report, Sevilla is said to have signed with Sergio Ramos. Sergio Ramos must have been thinking about ending football with Sevilla as if I remember correctly he became valuable in football while playing for them.

Sevilla finished 12th in the league last season. But since they won the UEFA Europa League, they will compete in the Champions League this season. The Champions League will be an influential factor in Sergio Ramos' decision. I think that's why he contacted Galatasaray. At the moment, Sevilla should be in first place for him, Galatasaray in second place and Arab teams in third place. I would like him to play for Galatasaray. Yes, he is a bit old. But he is still a good footballer and a very experienced defender.

I actually do not mind a defender being very old. Especially if he is a centre back. But the problem is, Sergio Ramos is actually a player who can attack well from the corner. He can also attack in times of emergency. But now he is quite old, so if he actually goes out to attack, it is a big question if he will be able to get back in time to defend. So that is going to somewhat limit his ability. But I still think that he is going to be a good enough player for any team that is currently in pursuit of him. But definitely, Sevilla might be able to use him the best. I also believe that, for some reason, the player is also going to want to go to Sevilla.
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When to invest in bitcoin on: September 04, 2023, 07:42:23 AM
You believe "HODLing" to be the easiest way out? I mean, certainly, less stress and less daily decision-making. However, remember that even a long-term strategy requires efforts. The safety of your wallet, the regulatory landscape, and technological advancements such as forks all require your attention. Long-term may be less demanding, but it is by no means "set it and forget it".

If you can "buy and forget", that's better. Most people (including me) can't forget about investing in bitcoin, I always look at bitcoin price movements, if the price of bitcoin continues to fall I will panic and rush to sell my bitcoin. If you could buy bitcoin and forget about it, I'm sure in 10 or 20 years the price of bitcoin would be even crazier. And I dream of being able to do that, so that my bitcoin investment can become a retirement fund in my old age

For bitcoin wallet security, I would probably recommend using a hardware wallet, because it's the most secure.

If we are rich people and investing in bitcoin is only a small part of our wealth, it will be easy to forget about it for many years. But most of us put great faith in bitcoin investment to improve our economy, so I don't believe anyone here can forget it and not check the market daily. Honestly, it's very difficult to do it, I tried many times but I couldn't succeed, checking the price is a must. Of course, I don't sell my bitcoins, but checking prices and monitoring the market is a very difficult habit to break.

It is true that the European transfer window has closed, while the transfer window for the Saudi Pro Legue has not yet closed. The SPL still has time until September 20, this is what made Jurgen Klopp angry and commented on this policy. -snip-

Regulations that are different from those in Europe should have an impact on recruitment for the Saudi Arabian team. Since there is no transfer window in Europe anymore, even if the Saudis reached an agreement with the team and player, Its mean the club have to wait until the middle of the season or the winter transfer window? So, even coaches shouldn't have to worry, at least until mid-season in the winter transfer market.

I thought that now players can actually sign contracts with another club while the transfer window is closed. I am not sure, but I hope someone can confirm this.

As far as I know, a player can actually sign a new contract with a new club and keep playing for the club that he is currently playing for. And when the transfer window opens again, he will be able to join the new club. But I don’t know how this is going to work when for one club the transfer window is open and for another, it is closed.
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I go with Bitcoin or Altcoins for the upcoming bull run cycle? on: September 03, 2023, 09:29:00 AM
We all have different experiences with our crypto investments, some have been highly profitable on bitcoin while some have been making excellent profits with altcoins. So no one can decide for the other person. However, if we know how to diversify and include them both as our investments, then we will have no problems or missed opportunities in the future. Invest in both of them with caution, and learn to assess from your own experience which one deserves bigger or smaller allocation, so that you can still gain profits from both of them when bullish market happens.

It all depends on your expertise about understanding the market. Some understand bitcoin market well while some are proficient at Alts. For me bitcoin is the primary choice of investment as I find it the controlling agent of crypto market. See if bitcoin is up everything is up and vice versa. Its better to have a ratio of 70:30 between bitcoin and alts. Alts are mostly dependent on bitcoin for there bull runs.

Alts depend entirely on bitcoin. But one thing we should not deny is that investing in altcoins is very risky but the profits it brings us are not small, if not their profits are many times greater than bitcoin brings. I understand that investing in bitcoin is safe but don't ignore altcoins either, especially during bull season when most of them will go crazy in price. High risk, high profit, depending on each person's thinking, I have made a lot of profit from altcoins in 2021 so there is no reason to ignore it.

In my opinion, investing in bitcoin or altcoin is a personal choice, we cannot say that bitcoin is the only investment worth investing in and all altcoins are useless. There have been many people who have made great profits by investing in bitcoin, but there are also many people who have changed their lives by choosing the right altcoin to invest. I really like bitcoin because it's safer than altcoins, but I also don't hate people who are investing in altcoins and ignoring bitcoin. Because after all, the ultimate goal is still profit, so whoever has more profit will follow their investment philosophy correctly.
992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: September 03, 2023, 09:18:26 AM
It is true that there is no guarantee that we will definitely not have to sell bitcoins because the future is unpredictable and life is always full of surprises. But you cannot deny that if we prepare everything well such as having a stable source of income, saving for emergencies... then your investing and holding will be easier and less stressful. Like many people started complaining that high inflation is making them struggle with their daily needs and they are thinking of having to sell their bitcoins because their family's day to day needs need to come first. But there are also many people with good income and large savings, they never thought about selling their bitcoins. Planning for life is very important.

A simple statement but very reasonable to digest, it is true that there is no guarantee for us to continue to maintain it and put aside the needs of our lives, no one can predict the future but here we can prepare everything to minimize the risks that will occur in the future for a very emergency. You may have enough income for now but it is not necessarily for some time to come, so it is a good choice if you look for other opportunities to increase your income, besides you invest in bitcoin but it would be better if you also look for other opportunities in real life. Inflation will continue to occur and as you and I have said above, you need to look for new breakthroughs to minimize or help you make ends meet in the midst of a significant increase in the cost of living.

if you have no other choice then of course you will sell the bitcoin that you have been maintaining, life is more important and it is indeed the best choice than you let your stomach starve.

But on the other hand you can also continue to live normally in the midst of inflation that occurs and you also absolutely do not lose bitcoin or do not have to sell bitcoin, and the way is to start from now on to find or form new opportunities to increase your income. So it will be very useful for your life in the future.

I think that even when inflation passes and life returns to normal, people should still continue to increase their income if given the opportunity. We should not only think about increasing our income when inflation occurs and not need it when inflation passes. Life will always have surprises and inflation will return in the future. So, to be able to live a comfortable life and not sacrifice any of your bitcoin investments, always work hard and try to increase your income regardless of the economy.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 02, 2023, 07:45:07 PM
The match between Napoli and Lazio will start soon. Napoli won the first two games in the league, while Lazio lost the first two games.
For the first time this season, Kvaratshelia starts a game in the starting line-up. New signing Jesper Lindstrom is among the reserves. We can see him on the field at the last minutes of the game. Rudi Garcia's biggest trump card will again be Osimhen.
I expect Napoli to win. But it will be a tough match for sure.
It seems that at this moment Lazio does not have his best performance because after all, about Lazio's two defeats in the previous match also the reality is. Lazio only played against mediocre teams which is clear, both of Lazio's previous opponents have lower quality. But still, Lazio failed to win in the previous two matches and with these bad results, then of course playing away against Napoli could be Lazio's third defeat at this moment in a row. I don't understand why Lazio can be this bad at the beginning of the season, while last season at least Lazio had a good performance. So yes, regarding this ongoing match I personally do not doubt Napoli to win, because Lazio are also not in good form at this moment.

Lazio have lost their last two matches against weaker opponents. Lazio cannot win against weak teams like Lecce and Geona. But even then this group cannot be called weak. They have a strong squad. This team has the ability to perform well if the problems within the team are resolved.

However, the match ended in a 1-1 draw at the end of the first half. Napoli is a strong team and they are favorites in today's match. And they are playing very well. Even then, Napoli can't make much of an advantage. Because Lazio's main goal is to draw the match. And that's what I think from their performance. The team is playing very defensively. Even though the match is now tied at 1-1, I expect Napoli to win.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 02, 2023, 07:20:13 PM
Gone are the days when Laliga clubs dominated European football at all levels of competition, now English football is taking over Europe. English teams are seen competing at all levels and getting to the final stages of all European competitions and even winning the European trophies. Last season Manchester City won the champions league and Conference legaue and Super cup, suming up the success of English teams last season.
Barcelona team is currently the best in La Liga. In addition, this team will want to do something extraordinary in the Champions League, in view of which Barcelona was able to add two new good players to the team. Hopefully this season the team will do better than last season's Champions League performance.

If summing up the best team in La Liga is serious, you can't just say Barcelona. Because after all, La Liga is about Real Madrid and Barcelona, even though last season Real Madrid didn't win the La Liga title but still, the rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona will never end. Moreover, at this moment Real Madrid is still firmly at the top of the La Liga standings, because Real Madrid has managed to win in all the La Liga matches that have been played so far this season. Meanwhile for Barcelona, at this moment they have a record with one draw, and Barcelona not managed to win in all matches like Real Madrid has so far this moment. Therefore, it is not very accurate if you say Barcelona is the best in La Liga, because La Liga is about their two big teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

There is quite an incredible thing happening. I don’t know if other people have noticed this or not. But more money is coming into football in recent times, the more this thing is happening. Which is the rich teams are getting more rich and the poor clubs are getting more poor.  And that’s why in most of the leagues, the competition is definitely going down. The English Premier League is successful right now because most of the clubs in the English Premier League are pretty rich, to be honest. But other leagues like La Liga have definitely suffered since after the Covid situation in my opinion.
995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of Bitcoin over fiat and local banks on: September 02, 2023, 08:17:20 AM
Financial freedom is not the same as financial security. Bitcoin gives you control, but its value is not stable, it's not backed by something that you can predict. Bitcoin showed great performance in the past, but there is no proven model that can guarantee same performance in the future. Or even good performance. You can say that fiat can crash too and be right, but any asset can crash. So the key to managing wealth is diversification between many different uncorrelated and reliable assets, instead of going all in on one thing.

Bitcoin has many advantages over fiat currency but you are right, there is no guarantee for the future and everything has risk whether it is bitcoin or fiat currency, even gold, an asset that is considered is the safest. Diversification is the best key when it comes to finance, focusing on a single asset is too risky because no one can predict what the future will hold.
But the thing is, even if bitcoin is better than fiat, superior to fiat, we still need fiat money for our lives. So in my opinion, there is no need to compare the two because we need both, both have different use cases.
996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: September 02, 2023, 08:04:40 AM
You are right. Bitcoin investment is usually a long term investment and shouldn't be entered into with the intention of making quick bucks. And moreso, before investing in BTC, one should as a matter of necessity have a reliable source of income, otherwise, they may not be disciplined enough to leave that BTC in their wallet when they start having financial emergencies.
Are you insured against force majeure? I don't think so. Therefore, it makes no sense to talk about having a constant source of income that will help you not to touch Bitcoin on your wallet. Different situations may arise when a large amount of money is needed. For example, for the treatment of a loved one or something else. Well, how then to be? It can't wait long.
Therefore, all these points should also be taken into account and not be so naive in this life.

It is true that there is no guarantee that we will definitely not have to sell bitcoins because the future is unpredictable and life is always full of surprises. But you cannot deny that if we prepare everything well such as having a stable source of income, saving for emergencies... then your investing and holding will be easier and less stressful. Worst scenario is that when you suddenly lose your job and you still have bills and loans to pay, so you end up losing all the chances to keep your bitcoins longer but have no choice than to sell them even at a bearish market. This is why we don’t have to rely in one source of income no matter how stable it is. It’s still best to increase our side hustles because once you have 2 or 3 more sources of income, no matter how bad the economy is, I guess your finances will never be much triggered.
If it really happens, it surely makes us to have no choice. Even worse, if we have no savings on banks and have no other assets besides Bitcoin. Selling the Bitcoin is the only way to deal with the situation. If it happens to me, I also won't think twice to sell it even if it is still in the red market. When it is related to the urgent needs, we will sell everything that can fulfill the needs.

Sure, we don't rely on Bitcoin investment only, it is better to diversify our assets. Ideally, we also have stable coins in our wallets, we can sell our stable coins when the market is red. The price of stable coins like USDT or USDC tends to increase during the red market. So, it can be the right solution whenever we need fiats when the market is dump.

Anyway, it is surely better if we have some jobs. When we lose 1 job, we still have another job. But we need to divide our focus when we have some jobs. Although we have 1 main job, we must have enough time to handle side jobs as well. If someone only can focus 1 job only, they are unable to run some jobs.

Selling bitcoin on the red market or selling without the plan we have set out is never a comfortable feeling. But there are more important things in life than bitcoin, and the purpose of investing in bitcoin is also for us to have a better life. So I won't hesitate to sell my bitcoins if there is no other solution.

Having multiple sources of income, lots of savings, many different assets...is what everyone wants. But what matters is how many people are doing it. It sounds easy to say but we even struggle to save little by little, so how can we have so many savings, so many different assets? It's very difficult to do that these days.
998  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market manipulation a common occurrence everywhere? on: September 01, 2023, 09:13:58 AM
Everyone wields different powers when it comes to business. Some say that cryptocurrency prices can be manipulated by wealthy individuals. Despite being decentralized, it seems that price movements can be controlled by specific entities.

So, in your opinion, can everything related to money in this world be manipulated? For instance, do you believe that the value of the USD or the largest stock market in the US can be manipulated by a few individuals?

What kind of people are capable of market manipulation?
If you are talking about altcoins, know that they are mostly centralized so any group or entity can easily manipulate its price or value. Unlike bitcoin, it's completely decentralized so even the government has nothing to do with its current value or price. Just like no one can access bitcoin except the owner itself. However, in a centralized system, market manipulation is always present. Whatever the government wants, the government gets. Even private businesses can still be manipulated through its governed laws wherein business owners are obliged to follow.

Are you sure bitcoin is not being manipulated? Do you remember 1 or 2 weeks ago bitcoin was suddenly dumped to $25,000 and then people spread rumors that it was Elon who sold his remaining bitcoins causing the market to drop? But later it was pointed out that he was not the cause and so far there is no reason for that decline. Isn't that Bitcoin price manipulation?
If you say that the bitcoin network cannot be manipulated then I completely agree. But saying bitcoin prices aren't susceptible to manipulation is as naive as I've heard. Not just bitcoin, there is no financial market that is not manipulated.

Bitcoin is not a panacea, but most of our sicknesses and troubles stem from our finances. Therefore, once our financial problems are solved, other problems in life will also be solved. Finance is almost the root of all problems in life and bitcoin can solve our financial problems.
As much as I agree that most problems stem from finances, I must say that most problems that we can think can easily be avoided altogether, we're just so used to solving stuff with money that we are too dependent on it. Looking at financial problems in a new way helped me not worry too much about where to get the payments for these especially learning stuff about not being more materialistic helps a lot.

It sounds simple but will you admit to me that everything in this world is measured in money? And today we not only depend on money but money decides all our problems. What I'm saying may sound like I'm just someone who lives for money but I don't want to deny the truth and that's what I feel is going on around me. Nowadays everything is measured in money, I really can't think of anything that is not measured in money.
You say you've found a new way to look at financial problems. Which way is that?

Lol, that's how it is when a player is labeled "star", whatever happens to them is always a rumor in the end. Even when he's out of sight, there will still be rumors, and the rumors will be diverse, and probably never thought of before.
Even the emojis he posts will become speculation, just like now. Lol
But I'm just like you, that I'm just waiting for official news, because I've been through so many rumors about her, and it's just a rumor, no official news, no confirmation that eventually sinks in.

I understand that Mbappé is a big star. And anything he does. He's definitely going to be starting some speculation about him, especially when he is not certain about his future. I also understand that the media is also going to try to take advantage of that, and make news out of almost nothing.

But what I am trying to say is, is there actually any reason to make anything out of the emoji that he put on his post? I definitely do not think so. He is definitely a big star but the media is just trying to print news out of thin Air. And right now I am actually angry about this because most of the News does not have any base. I mean why are they talking about him going to another club? Just because him giving some emojis on his post?
Your question has been answered, how the media seize the moment to make speculation and give useless baseless rumors as you said. That's what always happens when a "star" player does something including making a post. And this is not the first time this has happened, even before it happened to other players.
And it's back to us to filter every news or rumor that comes. Therefore, I personally do not want to speculate too much in response to existing rumors, especially for rumors that have no basis that can really make us speculate like that.

I am not disagreeing with any of your points. I do live in reality, and I do accept the fact that anything about a star, regardless of him being a player, or maybe a movie star, the media is definitely going to try to make news out of nothing. I am just saying that this kind of news is definitely misleading. The media has a great power of making people believe in things. All I am saying is that they should use that power responsibly. But at the same time, I also know that this is never going to happen because the media is going to look for news that generates more buzz.
