Facing the reality here is that Chelsea was off limit to Bayern Munich form, the English side was kind of luck to have bottled only 3 goals with a 1 goal reply because Bayern Munich players were just all over the field with the ball. Sanchez saves helped in reducing the goals deficit which would have been more than 3 goals.

For the weekend game between Chelsea Vs Manchester United, I would place my bet on Chelsea to win than Amorim side that lacks a winning mentality to trust them with victory against Chelsea. We might get disappointed as it would be just another boring game that would end in a draw.

Bayern Munich were much stronger than Chelsea in yesterday's game, that's true. But perhaps Chelsea were more focused on the game against United than on trying to beat Bayern on their home field? By the way, bookmakers see this game as random:

2.67 - 3.61 - 2.46

Honestly, seeing how poor United are, I'm tempted to bet on Chelsea or Chelsea Double Chance. It feels like a high-value bet. As a United fan it's hard to accept this reality, but that's how things look.

Quote

3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: Today at 09:22:03 AM
I don't even want to think about the 2026 World Cup without Italy. And not because I'm a huge fan of Italy or because it will be their third consecutive appearance. The new format, with a huge crowd of teams playing in the final stage, is absurd. But it's logical to assume that by paying this price, we at least get all the strongest and most decorated teams in the final stage. If it turns out that Italy is not there again, it will be a loss for the tournament and refutation for this assumption.
I am more than happy to participate at the World Cup if we actually deserve our spot. The only thing that bothers me is that these new qualifications and bigger tournament is simply helping to qualify countries that are not so relevant in the football world. In Europe there are many groups where we know that one important nation won't make it because there are two big nationals in that group, and only the first qualifies directly. In other parts of the world now they got way more spots but for Europe is always the same. I understand it's exciting for those nations to finally participate at the World Cup but do we really want to see Uzbekistan vs New Zealand at the World Cup? And, again, the main reason they participate is simply because now they have more spots, not because they actually managed some sort of miracle.

Yes, this is the main criticism of the new format. When the number of teams was increased for each region, Europe, despite being the heart of the football world, received the smallest increase in the number of teams, while teams from obscure (with all due respect, haha) regions received a significant increase in representation. Accordingly, even given the fact that a larger number of teams from Europe will play in the final part of the World Cup, it does not quite compensate for the fact that the group stage of the final part of the World Cup will be a real farce.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering casino bonus on: Today at 09:15:05 AM
Few weeks ago I got some nice non deposit casino bonus on BC.game worth about 20 USD. I received similar bonuses before and I never had any success with them as the wagering requirement was pretty high (30x wagering requirement in order to have control of the funds). I tried different strategies such as wagering with dice, plinko and similar games with high return rate, but always I ran out of funds before even making half of the requirement.

Last time I had more luck, by playing slots I managed to multiply my bonus funds to around 50 USD (I had big luck there) and after that I wagered the rest with plinko. In the end I managed to wager the bonus with 17 USD left.

Had someone similar experience? To be honest I received bonuses quite a few times and this is only time I managed to wager it completely.

Yes, I had exactly the same experience (at the same casino), I was given bonuses, apparently for making deposits at this casino, and out of three bonuses, I was able to win back 1. The bonus I was able to wage was $21. I was lucky and increased it to $180, ending up with $21 in my main balance. Honestly, I didn't read the wagering requirements, so I was surprised when I received $21 instead of $180.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which can be more addicting? on: September 18, 2025, 08:51:02 PM
Which can be more addicting between the two: placing small bets every day or gambling only once or twice a year but doing so with huge amounts of money?

If you place bets every day, your brain might get too used to it even if it is just a small amount but betting less frequently but with bigger amounts of money may lead you to be emotionally attached to that money and may feel extremely happy to win and extremely disappointed to lose.

So what do you think gets someone more addicted?

It is clear that daily activity (in any area) has a great tendency to become an addiction. And I don't see why this shouldn't work with gambling. In fact, even the bet size doesn't matter – if you bet every day, you'll at least develop a habit. It’s probably not far from habit to addiction (I don’t even know if there’s much of a difference in these definitions).
As for the second option, I think it's better to replace it with buying lottery tickets - it's cheaper and can also evoke emotions, since there's always a chance of winning the jackpot.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: September 18, 2025, 06:53:30 PM
Norway for sure are going to win the group and, as Italian, the only thing I can say is kudos to them, they absolutely deserve to win the group: they always played well, they are hungry, and they are the best generation Norway has seen in a long time. I hope we'll make it to the playoffs, we are so unpredictable at this point...

I don't even want to think about the 2026 World Cup without Italy. And not because I'm a huge fan of Italy or because it will be their third consecutive appearance. 9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From $0.9B to $10.9B: Sports Betting Skyrockets in the U.S. on: September 18, 2025, 06:46:04 PM
I was checking some stats and this one really caught my eye. In 2019, legal sports betting in the U.S. only made around $0.9B. Fast forward to 2023, and it already hit $10.9B in revenue. That’s more than a ten-fold jump in just four years. Total wagers? Over $119B placed by Americans last year.

Makes me wonder, what’s fueling this surge? Is it mainly:

* more states opening up to legal betting,
*the convenience of mobile apps and live wagering,
*or nonstop marketing that made betting feel “normal” already?

Big question is, can this growth really last or is the U.S. just catching up after legalization? From under $1B to almost $11B in a few years, that’s huge. If it can happen there, could we see the same worldwide, or will stricter rules and backlash eventually slow it down?

What do you guys think, is this real momentum or just temporary hype?

You're comparing pre-COVID times with the current situation. It seems to me that, firstly, thanks to the COVID restrictions, any online business has grown dramatically, literally by tens of times. I remember this from games and their economies (selling in-game items for real money). Secondly, since 2019, the number of dollars seems to have at least doubled? So, if you adjust for the issuance of money, the gambling business has grown not tenfold, but only by a few.
As for trends, it's difficult to predict how things will develop. Perhaps gambling has already reached saturation and will not experience further growth. Perhaps the market is overheated (there will be a decline), or perhaps growth will continue. Much depends on regulators.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 18, 2025, 06:38:57 PM
I feel like Bundesliga peak performance has passed and we are no in a era of build and grow for them, Bayer Munich still good as always but is not longer a unbeateable team plus the other "bigs" are not doing well, Dortmund is super irregular, Leipzig is weak in this last two seasons.

Leverkusen makes a really good improvement but now after Xavi departure is not so bright anymore.

Yes, it's true. Bayern has fallen behind other top clubs with its outdated strategy of "not making expensive signings," while the rest of the Bundesliga have always been huge underdogs on the European stage. In terms of entertainment, the Bundesliga is good, and if you take away Bayern, the championship is very competitive. But if you compare it with other top championships, the Bundesliga is probably only in third place right now.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 18, 2025, 05:09:20 PM
real madrid vs marseille

Real Madrid's last match was really great. It was a very breathtaking game. A Real player was sent off with a red card during the valuable time of the game, but after that, they won the match and told everyone that we are Real Madrid.
~

No, it was a bad game, even if the result turned out to be okay in the end. Firstly, Real Madrid has problems converting their chances – they should have scored at least four goals, but in the end, all of them were penalties (the second was controversial, by the way). Secondly, this is their second consecutive game with a red card. In the long run, this could translate into a loss of points, but Real Madrid is currently on a lucky streak.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 18, 2025, 05:03:16 PM
Chelsea's performance  has become erratic. The team has won two of its four Premier League matches. Chelsea is already 4 points behind Liverpool. If they continue to perform like this, it is impossible to win the Premier League title. The competition in the Premier League is very high. So if they cannot continue the winning streak, Chelsea will fall behind in the title race.
Despite the erratic performance in the Premier league , Chelsea has failed to start well in the Champions League as well. Chelsea lost 3-1 against Bayern Munich. We have  seen the weaknesses of chelsea's attack and defense in this match. Enzo Maresca needs to be more aware in choosing his match strategy

Chelsea won one (questionable) tournament, the Club World Cup, and why should we even be talking about their poor performance in the title race? First, they had to get there. If I remember correctly, at the start of the season, their chances were estimated at 1 in 8, and the main group of contenders consisted of other clubs (Liverpool + Arsenal + the lagging City). Chelsea are performing at their level, there's nothing surprising about that.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 18, 2025, 04:54:14 PM
Mbappe hits 57 UCL Goals, and now he is in the Elite Group. Kylian Mbappe’s strike over Marseille made him to joint-sixth in the Champions League scoring ranks with 57 goals. Real Madrid forward striker now have the same spot with Thomas Muller, and only behind Ronaldo, Messi, Lewandowski, Benzema, and Raul.

Because of the new format, all old records will fall within 10-15 years (maximum). Previously, a top team could face a weaker team in the group stage, meaning two easy games; now, it's possible to get three, four, and probably even five easy games in the group stage. Furthermore, the group stage used to have six games, while now it's eight. I'm not downplaying Mbappe's achievements at all (you could say he achieved all of his successes under the old format), but we all need to be prepared for the top to be filled with new names soon.

Roll Eyes

Quote

https://www.interfax.ru/russia/1047973

Grin

You are an idiot. A contract is a contract, both parties are equal in their rights and enter into it voluntarily, without coercion. If after this one of the parties begins to evade the execution of the contract (this is what Isak did), then this is pure fraud. I see you like scammers? I hope life teaches you a lesson and you are left without money/housing/health, and then you will talk about how great it is that the scammers made money.
It hasn't come to the level where you will use the case of Isak and Newcastle United to wish your fellow human bad because football is pure business, and Newcastle United didn't allow Isak to join Liverpool for free. Newcastle United made a lot of money from the sale of Isak. However, since Isak is still under contract with Newcastle United, Newcastle United has all the right not sell Isak to Liverpool, but Newcastle United choose to sell Isak at the ending part of the summer transfer window. I blame Newcastle United for letting Isak join Liverpool this season.

No need to overdramatize; this is life, where everyone makes their own choices. If he supports fraudulent behavior, why shouldn't I encourage him to "try his own medicine"?  Roll Eyes
As for Isak, firstly, he breached his contract, and secondly, he blackmailed his way into the transfer (whether it was beneficial to Newcastle or not is of secondary importance). He should be primarily to blame, although both Newcastle and Liverpool could have been more scrupulous in this matter.

You are very funny mate. Who are you to say that Isak scammed anyone or are you the one to fight for Newcastle on Isak determination to move to Liverpool. Liverpool paid heavily on Isak head to Newcastle and they have a lot of money from his signing and you are here sounding dumb. If they didn't make profits from his transfer Newcastle wouldn't allow him move. So big up man and understand business. Football is not a family thing but strictly business.

I'm someone with common sense and an understanding of how civilization works. You don't seem to be one of them, which is why you find it funny that that bastard Isak blackmailed Newcastle. It doesn't matter how it all ended or who paid how much, the fact is that Isak is a fraud. You can justify it all you want (a shameful position), but it won't change the facts.

At end of the day, both parties got what they deserve. Isak played for the team he desires, while Newcastle takes huge money for the signing. Isak, is the most costly player that was bought in the EPL during the summer window. I can remember very well, Isak was bought cheaper but now his value has increased significantly. As for me, this is a good and done deal. No party was scammed in the end.

You fucking degenerate, can you explain to me why Newcastle paid Isak's wages, yet Isak missed out on Newcastle games (before his transfer to Liverpool) and "no party was scammed"?
Better not try, I see you're as stupid as that scammer supporter.

As i promise yesterday here we have the new form for this round 4 of our contest. Enjoy the Champions League week but not forgot about the madness  Wink

ROUND 4 WEEK FROM 19/09 to 22/09 [DEADLINE: START OF LIVERPOOL GAME ON SATURDAY 20/09].

Code:
KTChampions

As always let me know if something is not working. Good luck to everyone.

PS: you can see in the OP a draft about the rewards, but is not 100% we are in talkings for something more plus, maybe i send in the next round a few options to choose.

I bet that if the deadline was on Friday, some participants would have missed the round. First, the national team games, and now the Champions League, which everyone has become unaccustomed to, greatly distort the perception of time.
Thanks for the reminder, I'll make my picks after the last games in the Champions League are over, I think the results will be somehow related, big teams mobilize after disappointing results. I wonder if yesterday's Real Madrid win, despite a red card and terrible finishing, should be considered a disappointing?
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 1% of disposable income goes to gambling – Too Much or Normal? on: September 17, 2025, 10:20:04 AM
Sweden's population is 10.3 million. This means that in 2024, each Swedish resident (including the elderly and children) spent €242 on gambling. .

I don’t think you should base gambling figures on total population. Not everyone gambles,  kids and people who don’t play are included in that number. If you want a useful metric, use the population of actual gamblers or the money flowing into licensed casinos. That’s a more reliable basis than just total population.

Can you read?

Quote
I don't know, maybe the average figures distort the picture too much (although on the other hand, high rollers "take" most of the statistics)

It is clear that average figures have disadvantages in how they reflect the real picture, but they do correlate with the real state of affairs. The best metric for determining average spending is to throw out the richest 10% of gamblers (sometimes they can make up 90% of all spending, and this will definitely distort the picture) and the poorest 10%, and only then calculate the average numbers. By the way, I would not be surprised if they are close to those that I calculated.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 17, 2025, 10:08:56 AM

If you guys are still defending Amorim as MU's coach. I dunno what to say to you guys. Having the worst stats(below 40% wins percentage) ever in the history of MU is one of horrible achievement. I'm sure he's not going to get better from here. His stubbornness and ego can’t be changed. He signed the players to play the system he wants to play, but still doesn't work
so no reason for the club to wait for another transfer windows for him to fix it. The better for them to rip off their wound, sack him and find a new manager who has enough exp to handle their club. I'm not saying he's bad, but not a right man for the job.

I don't want to defend him, I'm not sure it's adequate  Grin But still, if these statistics include last season, then these statistics are irrelevant, since last season he was allowed to sacrifice results in order to rebuild the team. You could say the win percentage is even lower this season (25 haha), but I still suggest waiting a few more games to draw any conclusions. Although, perhaps as a United fan, I'm still in denial/self-delusion mode  Grin It seems that this is exactly the case, because if you think rationally, United should never be that low in terms of points percentage and have a negative goal difference.
