Manchester City played very well in this second leg match and they were even able to control the match completely from the early minutes but unfortunately they were unlucky in this match.

This really was a very dramatic match and I think both teams have shown their best, Real Madrid with its very strong defense was able to withstand many attacks from Manchester City despite the many criticisms of the defensive tactics applied by Ancelotti but in my opinion the most important thing is the result final and Real Madrid managed to advance to the semifinals and also succeeded in getting revenge last season.

From the start, Manchester City and Real Madrid were quite the favorites to win the Champions League and now that Manchester City has been knocked out, of course Real Madrid is the most favored team to win the Champions League this season and I don't doubt that, they have everything to make it happen.

I don't know what kind of luck you're talking about. City had (including the first match) 210 minutes of pure playing time to prove that they were stronger, but they could not do it. By the way, if you remember the first game, it was really an accident that City scored three goals. Despite the fact that Real won in a penalty shootout, it was a natural victory for Ancelotti, which completely neutralized Guardiola's plan.

228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Legality and Myth of Card Counting in Blackjack on: April 17, 2024, 09:49:35 PM
Of course it's not illegal but just like what you have said players are having edge for counting cards and casinos don't like players to win as they are business and not a gambler. It's true that you'll get banned and escort you out of the casino but it's totally not illegal. Now, if I am not mistaken there's a lot of improvements from the past to avoid counting cards from surveillance, using multiple decks or continuous shuffling and sometimes changing the table payout rules to avoid this.

Now counting cards is useless (and hardly realistic given the number of decks involved in the game). The dealer has a cutoff (if I’m not mistaken, around 30% of the cards played), upon reaching which the entire deck (which consists of several regular decks) is shuffled. The player does not have a chance to reach the point where, knowing all the cards that came out of the game, he can calculate the probabilities of the cards he needs falling out.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing the money in gambling, what is your strategy on: April 17, 2024, 09:31:14 PM
When we experience a loss, especially a fairly large loss, it is true what you said that the first step we must take is to withdraw from the game to take a break from the activity and think seriously about dealing with what happened. Because it is possible that the defeat we experienced was caused by our own carelessness without realizing it. Gambling is full of thrill and excitement, so someone could unknowingly lose a lot of money in just one time. So the next step we have to take is to find a solution to overcome this error. Namely by increasing our knowledge and skills in the type of gambling we play to maximize the possibilities in each game, as well as improving the way we manage money and implementing limits regarding the amount of money used. issued for gambling. And being able to use our loss experiences as lessons for the future.

It seems to me that you don’t need to be a genius to look around and understand that most gamblers are always at a loss and only very rare lucky ones win the jackpot. It is no less easy to see that those who go to work and work there receive at least a salary that allows them to cover many of their vital needs. I say this because his friend understands everything perfectly, but as long as he has a choice between gambling and ordinary life where he has to work, he will choose gambling. But at some point life will force him to make a different choice  Grin

According to the latest news, Barcelona is no longer looking for a potential replacement for Xavi; if he does leave, despite being asked to stay, then the new head coach will be Rafael Marquez, coach of the Barcelona reserve team. A completely logical decision given Barcelona’s financial capabilities and, in general, this is a continuation of their “traditional” search for a head coach among former players within the club.

The limitations possessed by Barcelona at this time of course make them must be able to utilize existing resources to save club expenses but still maintaining Barcelona's chances of continuing to compete in La Liga next season, Xavi's decision to leave Barcelona is certainly a big question at the moment even though we know the relationship between Barcelona and Xavi is very good and even reportedly Xavi will not take his last season's salary at Barcelona in order to maintain Barcelona's finances To stay stable, what Xavi is doing now is inseparable from his love for Barcelona and I think Barcelona will no longer find another coach besides Xavi who really cares more about Barcelona than money.

Now it is reported that Rafael Marquez will replace Xavi next season, I think maybe the appointment of Rafael Marquez as a senior coach will make them not have to spend a lot of money but still it is a gamble for Barcelona, Rafael Marquez previously coached Barcelona B so he has been familiar with Barcelona's game scheme so far, so I think he will not need much time in adapting Barcelona later,  But the gamble I mean is that the atmosphere of coaching Barcelona B and seniors is of course very different so maybe Rafael Marquez will have a lot of pressure in the face of competition in competitions like La Liga and the Champions League later.

Yes, this is pure gambling and copium. Barcelona management hopes to repeat what happened with Guardiola - they took their former player without much experience and a miracle happened. But the problem is that for such a miracle, you first need to assemble the golden squad of the Spanish national team in Barcelona (which was done not by Guardiola but by his predecessor). It was a coincidence of circumstances and just like in the case of gambling, the gambler repeats the same actions that last time led him to win, not realizing that it was just luck.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 17, 2024, 05:24:11 PM
Barcelona now are out of Champions League and they will have to return to La Liga to fight and consider it as last competition to win in this season. Chance to win La Liga for Barcelona is very small and it depends on Real Madrid performances in Champions League and La Liga. If Real Madrid go more in Champions League, Barcelona will have some more hope that Real Madrid will potentially lose points in La Liga. Again it is only hope and Barcelona no longer control the La Liga competition.
~

In order to start talking about how many points Real can lose in La Liga due to the Champions League, Barcelona must first win the game on April 21st. Because if it doesn’t do this, even in the event of a draw, all chances will be lost, since 8 points of advantage 6 rounds before the end of the tournament is too much. At the moment, such an outcome is estimated with a probability of 4.60. In my opinion, this is an extremely unfavorable odds because yesterday we were once again convinced that Barcelona is weak for top games.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 17, 2024, 04:39:54 PM
It sounds incredible (considering the entire previous part of the season), but even this season Chelsea have real goals. If they win the game in hand they will move ahead of United into the European competition zone and have a good chance of ahead of Newcastle and into the Europa League rather than the Conference League. Yes, this is not the Champions League, but still better than nothing, much better.
At the moment, three contenders for two tickets have 50 points each (Chelsea has a game in hand), but United is a clear outsider as they have a significantly worse goal difference.
The big victory that Chelsea achieved over Everton can indeed influence expectations, but I don't think Pochettino squad can be fully trusted this season, I mean regarding their chances of finishing in the European zone. It is not certain that Chelsea will appear consistent in the remaining matches ahead, because Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham have the potential to cause Chelsea to lose points again. Not being pessimistic about their efforts, but the fact is that for almost the entire season Chelsea disappointed their fans, 10 defeats and 8 draws seem to be enough to prove that the 2-time Champions League champions have never been consistent this season.
~

Chelsea is having a bad season, it's hard to argue with that, but look at their competitors - do you think United and Newcastle are having a better season? By the way, Newcastle and United have 12 defeats, it turns out that Chelsea are more reliable in defense, while they were able to improve things in attack (Everton fully felt this). Yes, now Chelsea will have 3 super difficult games in a row (and if you take into account the Cup, then 4), but in the last 4 rounds they have such opponents that they can easily score 12 points.

Damn, Ulven guessed PSG to win by 3 goals difference. The red card changed the game of course and it was a crazy pick to make, but that's how you win them I guess.
~

Wow. Personally, I chose between. 2-1 in favor of PSG and 3-1 and was not brave enough to choose 3-1 although I felt that 2-1 was a weak choice. But choosing 3-0 in favor of PSG is tough. It’s a pity that by actually making such a crazy pick, he received only 0.5 points more than those who chose a simple victory for PSG.
By the way, I wonder what the odds were for PSG to win with a handicap of -2 goals? It was probably a good jackpot for those who were brave.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 17, 2024, 04:12:11 PM
After the match Xavi spoke very harshly about the referees. Naturally Xavi was very angry when the referees changed the course of the match and the round, they thought they could win this cup. It's a pity for this good team, they had the round in their hands with a 2 goal lead, but one red card changed everything. Barca could have stayed motivated but they couldn't win this psychological battle.

I don’t remember a single press conference after losing a big game (Xavi already had a whole bunch of them) where he simply admitted defeat. He always had many reasons - from bad luck, incorrect refereeing, to improperly watered field, etc. In this case, Araujo is clearly at fault for earning an “unnecessary” penalty. Optional not in the sense that the referee could not call this penalty, but in the fact that Araujo could not commit a foul for which he received a straight red card. But of course it’s easier to blame everything on the referee. By the way, is it normal that the team was unable to rebuild and, having +2, ended up with -2? It seems to me that even for a game with ten players this is an abnormal result.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 17, 2024, 04:00:47 PM
I think if Roma can maintain the advantage gained in the first game with Milan and reach the semi-finals, then Bayer’s chances of winning the Europa League will increase significantly since a much weaker team is coming out on the other side of the “pyramid”.
By the way, if Bayer doesn’t lose in the next game with West Ham, they will break Juventus’ record (for the top 5 leagues in Europe) - 43 games without defeat. This record lasted 12 years and Bayer has now repeated it.
The match to be played in England could end Bayer Leverkusen's dream. West Ham is a team that wins important home matches, and if they win this match, they will at least prevent Leverkusen from breaking the record, and if they win by at least 2 goals, they will take the match to overtime. That's why I think West Ham are preparing very well for this match. Bayer Leverkusen may be living a fairytale, but if they're not careful in this match, West Ham could give them a hard time.

West Ham are actually in 9th place in the Premier League standings and have a negative goal difference (minus 6). Sometimes even against Karabakh there are difficult games, but I wouldn’t count heavily on West Ham. Bookmakers estimate a team's odds as follows:

3.75 - 3.95 - 1.90

As you can see, even away and with a goal reserve of +2 after the first game, Bayer remains the clear favorite.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 16, 2024, 11:12:46 PM
Araujo red card made things more difficult and there was no denying the performance reversal that followed the red card and Barcelona were down to 10 men as they had even doubled the aggregate in the opening 10 minutes thanks to Raphinha's goal of the game . But to blame Araujo alone would be unethical as there were some unforeseen actions including the incident that Araujo suffered in this match because even though it was a mistake i don't think it's ethical to blame Araujo entirely for Barcelona defeat in today match .

But on the other hand it is a little unfortunate because after all their momentum is actually very good but because of the mistakes that occurred, their momentum turned to PSG advantage and with this PSG managed to advance to the semi-finals which they had long expected after the previous 2 seasons they always failed in round of 16.

On the contrary, it seems to me that this is Araujo’s personal mistake - such fouls are unacceptable when the game has just begun and in general this is such a foul that the referee has no choice but to send off the player.
Another question is that Barcelona should not have fallen apart so much even when they were left with ten men. I often saw how a team with ten members left competently closed and, playing bus, brought the game to a draw, so by the way, I don’t like games where a player is removed - the game immediately becomes less intense (oddly enough). Barcelona, instead of getting back together, completely fell apart. Before the first game, I considered PSG to be a stronger team and now, based on the results of two games, I think that I was not mistaken.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 16, 2024, 08:58:45 PM
I think. Bayer Leverkusen can win the triple cup this year. I wonder what Xabi will do in the Champions League next year. Of course, not only that, he will also need to keep an excellent player like Wirtz and make the team better. Bayer Leverkusen ended a taboo. They equalized Bayern Munich. They can also win the UEL.

Crap. I was sure that PSG would win and having chosen a 2-1 victory for PSG, I doubted whether to correct it to 3-1. Now the score is exactly like this, but most likely this is not the end and PSG will be able to catch Barcelona at the moment when (if) it goes all-in.
Dortmund 4 - 2 Atlético with 15 minutes left. It is unlikely that anyone guessed the score in this area  Grin
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 16, 2024, 07:38:07 PM
I don’t know about what Bayern deserves - they have been unsuccessful all season and at the moment they have the same number of points as Stuttgart (which last season risked leaving the Bundesliga). Bookmakers quote Bayern much worse than they quoted Arsenal in the home game, Bayern have odds of 2.40 for the upcoming game and Arsenal have odds of 2.82. In fact, these are equal chances with a slight formal advantage for the hosts.

Bayern is a disappointment this season and betting on Bayern is the same as asking to lose money, but Bayern were very lucky that their opponent at this stage was Arsenal, which is a real disaster worse than Bayern in my opinion. I say this because in the case of Arsenal, in recent times they always play well from the beginning of the season until close to the end of the season. but when there are 10 games left until the end of the season then the arsenal becomes a huge disaster, and this disappoints its fans in the premier league. But Arsenal can be worse than that, in the European Champions League they didn't even manage to beat Porto comfortably. So looking at Arsenal's performance in the European Champions League, I would say that they only reached this stage because they were lucky to play against weak teams, such as Sevilla, Lens, PSV and Porto who are not doing well this season. Bayern has been a team that even when they are poor in the Bundesliga, in the Champions League at least they have been good, that's why I see Bayern winning this game, they play well when they are with Kingsley Coman
~

Maybe you're right, we'll see tomorrow. But I must note that Bayern’s opponents in the group stage and in the 1/8 were also very weak, and although Bayern won the group very confidently, they had big problems with Lazio (which is very weak this season). In fact, this is a game of two weak, incompetent teams, but the difference is that Bayern have been like this all season, and Arsenal have (so far only supposedly) entered this phase only now.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 16, 2024, 07:30:35 PM
Chelsea has indeed had an inconsistent performance this season, but if you look at their recent performance, it seems they are starting to find their rhythm, and it also looks like they have pretty good morals. Indeed, that will not be able to provide anything, because there is nothing they can achieve this season. But that could be something valuable for next season because they will have better preparation than this season. I think all they need is to increase their progress little by little and there is no need to make major changes because that might actually make the situation worse.

It sounds incredible (considering the entire previous part of the season), but even this season Chelsea have real goals. If they win the game in hand they will move ahead of United into the European competition zone and have a good chance of ahead of Newcastle and into the Europa League rather than the Conference League.
