1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are prop trading firms legit? on: September 18, 2025, 11:55:37 PM
Has anyone here actually used these firms and got paid out?
There are traders who started their trading careers with prop firms; they do so because it is hard for them to raise a good amount of money to trade with.

Are there real risks behind these “funded accounts”?
A risk is the pressure it can put you under, because you need to meet up with the terms and conditions.

That pressure can make you enter the market with emotions, which will lead to losses.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 18, 2025, 11:42:14 PM
It's just a lucky game for Barcelona because they were not expecting a win since Newcastle was more favored to win the game by the book markers and the absence of Yamal is also another reason why the odd of Barcelona kept on rising even when the game began it's just luck that helped Barcelona to win the game and the presence of Rashford gave Barcelona the victory otherwise Newcastle would have defeated them on drawn the game.
Barcelona had the edge in the game based on Rashford's experience of playing in the Premier League against Newcastle. Hansi Flick did well to choose him as a starter and not take him off too early as well.

Good first and second goals for Rashford; Barcelona may just retain him and choose to give him a contract at the end of his loan deal.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: The economic activity of waiting in line. on: September 18, 2025, 12:33:06 PM
The concern of this writer is, could we see an overcrowding in the digital space, and start to wait in line, as a result of network issues or variables like that.
I think we still wait in line even in the digital space; it is just less observable since the queue moves faster than a physical queue as things are handled by programmed technology.

This is why there is something called traffic on a website, and during times when there is a lot of traffic on a website or platform, you may find it difficult to have smooth access there. Even in the mempool, you need to wait for your transaction to be added to the block, that is a classic example of waiting in line.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Can egalitarian society ever be achieved? on: September 18, 2025, 11:20:50 AM
Do you think such society is attainable before the end of the current generations as proposed by great economist.
I don't think it is achievable. Everyone cannot be rich even if everyone is given the same amount of money. Becoming rich goes far beyond the amount of money you have or the amount of money you have been given; it requires a lot of financial discipline and financial intelligence to pilot yourself from a place of lack to a place of wealth.

Another reason why an egalitarian society will be hard to achieve is because our thinking faculties are different. Some persons are actually really dumb and foolish, and that's okay because if everyone is wise and sensible, how do we really know who the wise and sensible are? Wisdom will be nothing special.

If everyone is also equal, there will be no balance in society because who is going to do the menial jobs that are still very important?
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your funniest gambling story? on: September 18, 2025, 10:42:11 AM
Then I come at home and I see this 2-3-year-old kid has opened my browser tab and clicks on the space button and is very happy, laughing. I immediately went to the PC and I see that this kid has opened my slots and every time he clicks on the space button, slots are spinned and it makes him very happy....
I bet the children were interested in playing the game simply because they thought it was a regular game, as children are always interested in such. But if you have children around you, you should always be cautious about your activities online and offline and ensure that if it is something that you do not want them becoming exposed to, you take necessary steps to avoid it. I imagine that this early experience of playing slots by these children would not be forgotten in a hurry because they will begin to consider it just as a game and, before the age of maturity, may even develop an interest in gambling, which is not proper.

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 17, 2025, 10:12:45 PM
Bayern is not all that; Chelsea were just not good enough to win the game. Their defence and attack are not that good. People overrate Chelsea because of their performance in the Club World Cup. This is a different competition. I had no doubt that Bayern would win that game. I said it here a couple of times that Bayern would win the game; it was too obvious for all to see, except that you are a Chelsea fan.
I have to speak on Harry Kane and say how good he is, both in goal scoring and linking of play with his other Bayern teammates. Bayern outplayed the world champions, who looked to be in over their heads with the expectations of winning. Chelsea needs to put their feet to the ground in their upcoming games because the Champions League is not the Club World Cup; there are no small teams in this competition, as they all earned their place.

Palmer is an exceptional player, and he will definitely be an important factor for Chelsea if they are going to succeed in the Champions League this season.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake aviator hack app is advertised on telegram on: September 17, 2025, 08:16:20 PM
They are preying on the greed of people and the popularity of the Aviator game. They are aware of how much people are loosing to it, and know that many people will be interested in a way to try to ensure their winning in the game.

People who think they can cheat and make money may deserve to get scammed.
I agree with this; this perhaps will be a lesson to them.

10  Economy / Gambling / Re: YEET.com | Casino & Sportsbook | Airdrop on: September 17, 2025, 06:10:37 PM
I hope they will come back again ASAP since there’s only few weeks before October arrives.
The Yeet Casino has gotten positive feedback from this forum, and based on their services that have so far been problem-free, they are among the top casinos that can be recommended to gamblers who are seeking a casino where they can enjoy gambling.

The expected sportsbook surely will improve the traffic on the Yeet platform and increase the recommendations that they get even from members of this forum.

If the Yeey casino has been able to deliver satisfactory service in their casino section, we do not expect anything less from their sportsbook.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinopunkz.io | Anonymous Crypto Casino | No KYC | 100% Welcome Bonus on: September 17, 2025, 05:53:12 PM
I think that every casino needs to have geo-blocking... It makes a lot of things easier both for the casino & players.
A casino having the geo-block feature is a clear indication that they are not trying to intentionally deprive gamblers of their win with the excuse of gambling from a restricted location. Some gamblers may never have the idea that their location is considered a restricted one, maybe because they failed to go through the casino terms and services to know where gambling is permitted, while others simply failed to follow up with updates on the casino to know if their location has been included among the list of restricted areas.

It is a player's responsibility to find out if their location is permitted to gamble on a platform, but I feel casinos can play a major role in helping gamblers be aware.
12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Small mistakes in investments on: September 17, 2025, 05:04:09 PM
1. Invest in a platform you trust: Most times we invest in platforms we don't even know about.
For a noob, having a platform they can trust is difficult, so they may usually need to depend on the opinion of another person. That first is a mistake, depending on the opinion of someone else to trust a platform. Even if you must trust the platform based on your opinion of someone, you have to gather reviews from different angles and sources for comparison.

Because everyone is doing this, I should do it also or if I don't do it then someone will think or feel somehow.
If you invest under the influence of friends because they are doing so without your own conviction, you will not be a long-term investor who will be patient enough to see their rewards.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading Competitions Really Get the Best Out of You? on: September 17, 2025, 02:42:32 PM
3. Pick competitions that match your category and strength.
This makes sense, and I guess your reason for success in both competitions that you have been in is based on this fact.

The general advice is that you should avoid trading competitions because there is an uncertainty that you will be able to handle the pressure that comes with, as many people can't. But if you are certain that you can handle the pressure and you have the strategy and psychology to support it, then you can actually make some money from trading competitions.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How true is it? on: September 16, 2025, 11:01:44 PM
... are most of these actually real, and do users really win them?
I believe there are people for whom that is their focus. I mean, this person must have won in such competitions before or even know someone closely who has won before, hence their motivation.

Many people fail out of these competitions because they are overwhelmed by the pressure of trying to meet up to win.

Trading under pressure is never the way to trade; losses will be numerous.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First thing you will do if you win big time in a Casino? on: September 16, 2025, 10:17:21 PM
Unlike the guy in the story, I would probably not tell anyone in my family or anyone at all. That just invites problems.
I guess this depends largely on the kind of family that you have. Truthfully, in some families, letting them know about such a win will only invite billing from different angles; they will bring their problem to you in expectations that you will solve it. It is difficult for one person to solve an entire family's problem; if you try, you can go broke, and those people whom you are trying to help will still continue living and survive.

16  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥BetFury.com | 👑#1 VIP CLUB | 🎁FREE BTC DAILY | 🤑Up to $10 500 BONUS on: September 16, 2025, 09:20:56 PM
Congratulations to whoever won that — with that kind of amount, a person would already be considered wealthy here in our country. You could buy a brand-new house and lot,
a brand-new car, and even start up a business of your choice. When luck really lands on someone, they get to experience a win that’s truly meant for them.
Unfortunately, many gamblers, even after winning such an amount of money, will still be unable to set themselves and their lives up. Some, even before they start using the money for important things, have already squandered a huge sum on unreasonable things under pressure, and others under the influence of others. Such an amount of money should never be spent in a hurry.

Quote
That’s why many gamblers are encouraged to keep playing — because of stories like this, where the winnings aren’t small at all.
Some gamblers need to be careful about this sort of story that keeps them encouraged to keep gambling because if it's a gambler who is already experiencing some problems and issues due to their gambling habits and has decided to give gambling a break, these sorts of stories, when shared with them, can foil that plan.

For that reason, I say be careful also who you share your success story in gambling with. To some persons, you are not helping them.
17  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you find a new crypto casino? on: September 16, 2025, 08:20:02 PM
So, is Bitcointalk still the best source, or are there other reliable places to find a good casino?
While on the search for a new crypto casino that you would like to gamble on, be careful of word-of-mouth recommendations from individuals who you consider to be gamblers because not all the casinos or platforms that you are recommended are actually good, and the thing is that these persons may actually not be experienced enough to be able to discern if a casino is legitimate or not. So if you are referred to a casino to go gamble at, do not just go there gambling blindly; make sure to try and do some research on your own to find out reviews from other places like this forum.

THe top fixtures for tomorrow are

Athletic Club against Arsenal -I expect us to win this game.

Juventus against Dortmund—drop your predictions?

Real Madrid against Marseille—I think Real Madrid should win this; they have the home advantage and are playing well.

Tottenham against Villarreal—Thomas Frank has really started a good job with Tottenham, but I am not convinced that they will win this game. I think he will overthink his strategy and mess it up.

If op analysis finally playout, that would be a kudos to him for plotting a cool market chart for the next price direction.
I hope the OP is involving himself in the various bitcoin price prediction contest ongoing in the forum because with his analysis, he has a shot at winning.

There are a couple of them, in the Games and round section of the forum.

20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to react fast to indicators releases on: September 15, 2025, 10:45:52 AM
Two of best weapons in trading.
Stop loss order.
Stop limit order.
Whenever I’m about to enter the market, my first analysis from my position is to determine how much money I’m risking to lose even before I calculate how much I’m getting. The reason is this, people often focus on how much they would gain that sometimes can get them carried away from the risk that they’re about to take and how much they can loose.

Considering your losses and risk to know if it something you can bear for the sake of profit is proper risk management.
