1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in a Responsible Way is Beneficial on: September 23, 2025, 09:13:38 PM
Gambling is considered as recreational activity and that's why it has a lot of benefits, but the only problem is that it includes the risk of losing money. So gambling in a responsible way is really having fun because this is what I'm doing right now, I don't chase wins, I just want to have a good analysis on my bets. Gambling is a good and fun activity since it uses and train your brain, like studying and solving puzzles through making strategies and determining the algorithm or pattern. We just need to make it into a disciplined and well-act activity, not in an aggressive like betting all of the savings hoping for a jackpot.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not judge the book by its cover on: September 23, 2025, 08:59:44 PM
Some people might visualize bitcoin supporters as those who wear suits and look like finance bros. People might think that you must be so rich and educated to work in something related to bitcoin or invest in bitcoin. But some of you may be shocked that this is not the case at all. Even the most normal people whom you will never think is into bitcoin can be into bitcoin.

You may encounter someone who may not look so rich and only living a quite comfortable life but not totally a luxurious one that is into bitcoin. This is how I believe that bitcoin is indeed for everyone because it is not only the rich ones are into bitcoin nowadays.
Like the rich in general, they don't act like with fancy suits, they just look normal because they don't need to prove their selves to the public. Also, it's dangerous to disclose a sensitive topic like you're holding a lot of crypto, they might use you or do something bad to you. Also, anyone can have bitcoin, it's not a sign of luxury, it's an investment asset, even average people already have that nowadays. Also, it's better to not judge everyone, no one really knows what's the story of each people so better not to judge them, just focus on us on how we can grow.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you very addicted to gambling?? on: September 23, 2025, 08:42:40 PM
One important thing to do is only bet money we can afford. Furthermore, our mindset also determines our future. If someone gambles money they can afford but has the wrong mindset, addiction will still occur and be experienced.

You're right gambling is not just about staking with what we can afford, self control is also very important while going with this approach because if You're not self discipline and also know how to control your emotions some day you will definitely end up doing the opposite, so gambling with what we can afford is a good idea and also, is very important to apply self control while going with this method this will prevent us from not  doing the wrong that's having a wrong mindset as you said.
This is of course a very important thing, you should always maintain self-control over yourself, and make decisions according to reality, that is, many times a gambler gambles with unrealistic expectations while gambling, that is, they want to get rich overnight from it, or they gamble with more money than they can afford just thinking about winning. They think that their winning is certain, and this is an unrealistic expectation, those who cannot limit their expectations, they will never be able to control themselves, first you have to accept the reality here, here you will only lose most of the time, but you have to accept it, and if you cannot accept defeat, you should stay away from gambling.
Agree with this, but tbh it's hard to control yourself especially if there are urges to gamble more. It's also hard to make good decisions in life if in you're in gambling addiction. People just dream big but they're not doing it in a practical way. They always think that winning is very possible, but they didn't know it's a process and really based on luck. Self-control is one of the hardest to achieve but it takes a lot of experience,  and you really need to be disciplined.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you satisfied with the outcome of this bull run? on: September 23, 2025, 08:34:24 PM
In your own view, do you think Bitcoin performed below or above your expectations in this bull run?
It's above.

Imagine the dip was around $15k, you know it's a good price already because the ATH back then is $50k, it's around 2.5x more but it went up to 124k which is a solid and profitable investment.

Of course not only in BTC, take a look with other assets, ETH is one of the profitable assets and it dipped recently but look how it went, breaking new ATH.

I'm satisfied with the outcome and how it was adapted globally, it builds foundation for the future.
5  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BSP ₱500k withdrawal rule, laban ba talaga sa corruption? on: September 23, 2025, 08:12:37 PM
6  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Licensed vs Unlicensed Exchanges in PH - sinong lamang? on: September 23, 2025, 07:50:39 PM
Do you think Filipino traders will eventually move to licensed exchanges? Or will most of the trading volume continue to flow into global/unlicensed platforms?
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wouldn’t you wish the same? on: September 23, 2025, 07:47:00 PM
I rather have a decent income but consistent than having millions of monies but came from taxes of the Filipinos. Imagine that you're have a lavish lifestyle while other people are suffering from floods and calamities in the country? Prolly, you'll have a special place on the bottom because of that. No one wants that, it's better to have a good and honest life than that. Also, why would I gamble with that kind of money, we don't need those, it's like having multiple sins at the same time. If you have so much money you don't need to gamble, maybe it's just a money for laundering, obviously because it's related to casino, you know what it is.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What reasons can have you switch intentions while on the casino on: September 23, 2025, 06:07:40 PM
Finally, what would you propose as a solution to help weak-willed gamblers maintain their motive on the casino without deviating situationally?
Whatever the purpose of a gambler, most gambler can control it for the first few days, later he either gets greedy or loses control due to his loss and starts betting according to his will. Some people try to recover their losses. When the losses increase, they can no longer gamble normally. Whatever the purpose of the gambler, if he loses control, then the amount of his losses will increase. The problem is more in the case of gamblers who do not have strong willpower. In this case, my advice is that if the gambler can take a break after losing in gambling, the chances of its disaster will be relatively low.
Yeah, the effect will be always in the end, it's like a step-by-step process for gambling addiction. People still doesn't know that there's a trap waiting for them, if they're trying to gamble continuously without looking at the risks, danger is incoming. Most of the time, they don't take a break because their thinking is why take a break if you can still continue gamble and you might win in the next bet, and that's the biggest mistake of their gambling journey. People should always reflect and learn on every gamble they're making, it's not a game, money is essential and it's the consequence if your loss so we must be careful and act responsibly in every move in gambling.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling Affect Education/Studies? on: September 23, 2025, 05:31:36 PM
If students want to play safe they will use fictitious money but fun can become addiction. If they become serial winners they could begin gambling with real money. Students who gamble will affect their study and their life.
Yes, it is very natural that when a student starts gambling and if he wins consistently, he can easily get more and more deeply attracted to it, this can eventually make them addicted to gambling, so it is never right to do this, especially in the case of a student, he should stay away from gambling completely, a student does not need to gamble for entertainment, he can enjoy very good physical entertainment with his friends, so I think every student should be careful about this.
Yes, when a student holds a lot of money in his hands, he will definitely get hyped on gambling and will always do it. The more he gets attracted to it, he's more prone to gambling addiction and can really affect his studies. A mind of a student is very soft, he thinks everything as easy way to earn money, that's why he will continuously do it even without thinking about the risks. This is why we need to warn students, the parents should always teach them the value of money and how risky to gamble, of course in school, good manners are also being taught there so they can avoid gambling at early age.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you said "never again" after a huge gambling loss? on: September 23, 2025, 04:03:38 PM
1)How often do you end up regretting a big loss after gambling?
2) Does that regret actually make you change the way you gamble, or do you just move on and keep playing?
3) Could it be that regret itself is part of the cycle that keeps us coming back to gamble?
1. Few times, I don't gamble always and I just spend money that I can afford to lose so most of the time I don't regret.
2. Nope, I gamble using my own strategy, it doesn't change and I still continue what's fun for me, I want the thrills while watching esports then bet.
3. Maybe, having regrets make you also want to revenge gambling and sometimes you want to use those you've learned in the gambling.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your instincts influence your gambling decision? on: September 23, 2025, 03:40:42 PM
In sports betting, instinct isn't a reliable source of information for betting.

You still need to analyze the whole scenario in sports betting in order to win a bet, but I think instinct is useful in other games like luck-base gambling games. But generally, it's not a good basis for bets, and I personally don't want to put my instincts to an algorithm-based platforms specifically online gambling platforms.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you gamble? on: September 22, 2025, 07:35:54 PM
I think it's all about self discipline. Without it, things like being addicted or frequent gambling resulting to losses is bound to happen. It doesn't matter where you stand in your financial capabilities, once you're hooked up you will gonna face consequences emotionally and mentally.
I've seen middle class people went broke, and poor people went worse.
Imho it's because they didn't know where they were getting into. People without plan and people who don't know that they are more susceptible to addiction are bound to make huge mistakes.

I mean you don't do anything else without planning either, so why would gambling (where some people notoriously have troubles with), would be different. If you want to spend a night out having beers, and don't plan it in any way, there's a similar kind of risk of using way more money. Difference being that while drinking, there aren't that many opportunities to spend as much as you can with gambling.
Agree, people who plays blind are in the path of losing a lot of money and making more problems. Sometimes you really need to chill and have fun like how it should be, no losses and no pressure of making mistakes because it's pure entertainment. People have a wrong perspective on gambling, it's kinda difficult to make it a profitable one but let's be honest, gambling in general aren't really a profitable way to earn money. Worst part is having a lot of problems and experience gambling addiction which is very hard to overcome.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Bet on the PH President Finishing His Term? on: September 22, 2025, 07:02:29 PM
Do you think he’ll still manage to serve out the full term despite the scandals? Or is the pressure just going to get too heavy?
Yes, he has a lot of pawns in the government right now and of course you know how these people work.

Even the VP who have a lot of controversies about confidential funds, are still continuing its terms. People from the opposing side which is side of the VP just want to oust the current President but it won't happen, people are still hoping for Marcos to make a good move (Im not a pro, it's just based from the rally last sunday where major celebrities called him out to make a good move). And besides majority of those contractors for the flood control are affiliated to the past admin, few to the current.

It's unpredictable tbh, we don't have any idea what's the next step of the current admin but I'm for sure it'll be hard to bet for him to not finish his term.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a cultural thing? on: September 22, 2025, 06:28:24 PM
People often say that gambling is full of men. But I have seen women be addicted to gambling as well. Older women spend their remaining time in bingo places. You will often see grandmothers playing cards or mahjongs. Some daughters will even say they learned from their mothers. So I am surprised to see when people say they are only recently seeing women around gambling. Is it a cultural thing? Are women from specific cultures more prone to gambling?
Well, I don't think gambling is for men because here in my country, it depends on what kind of play like for example cock fighting is usually for men while bingo and mahjong is played by women. Because maybe bingo and mahjong can be played inside houses or just nearby unlike in other gambling where you really need to go other places. Like for example tongits is also an indoor gambling where you can play with your friends and it's very accessible for women. I don't see it as a cultural thing, I think women just prefer those games that are very accessible to them and will make them feel comfortable.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think we still need more stablecoins in crypto? on: September 22, 2025, 06:19:11 PM
I only use USDT and USDC for stables, nothing else.

There's no point of having a lot of stablecoins, people should focus one for it to have more foundation. Some stablecoin in the past are now dead like BUSD and UST.

We don't other stablecoins, we need other utility coins that will develop web3 for the future.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Approximately only 5% Bitcoins are left to be mined. Is it good or bad? on: September 22, 2025, 04:26:07 PM
There's no bad thing about it because it was built like this.

The only thing you need to do is to ride the current flow, DCA and take advantage of every profitable positions because in the next years, it'll be extremely scarce and the only way to have it is through exchanges or p2p. Making it more valuable like how Gold become, this is one of the reasons why bitcoin is also called as digital gold.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal Introduces Bitcoin as New P2P for Payments on: September 22, 2025, 04:12:43 PM
This is a good move, we will have a lot of options for P2P especially there are some countries that blocks CEX like here in PH. It's a wise move to integrate their app with cryptocurrency, it tells that Bitcoin has a bright future knowingly that Paypal is here. Once implemented, other platforms will follow the same path paypal did and many will have a good perspective about Bitcoin especially those who are still doubting the potential of it. Idk if some people have negative view to this one but this is a great move from them, millions of money flowing from them and adding more features make it efficient for their users.
18  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tindahan ng computer na tumatanggap ng bitcoin any idea??? on: September 21, 2025, 08:05:53 PM
Kung may gagawa niyan for sure mga big cafes lang makakagawa niyan, hindi kaya or mahirap iimplement yan sa normal na computer shop, unang una is sa costing at syempre considered as small business din mga maliliit na comshop, paano kapag bumaba, lugi in terms of volatility. Di rin yan ginagawa dati kasi nga if icoconsider din yung fees pang-extend na din yun if ever. Sa mga big cafes naman, afford nila or talagang investor ng crypto yung mayari na they're willing to take the risk of holding BTC from payments.

Pansin mo din ba kapag crypto payments naman sa online, preferred din ng iba gumamit ng usdt which is a stablecoin, so ganon din wala talagang may gusto or bihira irisk as payment ang volatile na asset.
19  Local / Pilipinas / Re: NBA Star Kevin Durant Bitcoin na Binili sa $650 noong 2016 on: September 21, 2025, 07:55:52 PM
Minsan talaga blessing in disguise din talaga yung mga pagkakataon na mafoforce hold mo ang crypto mo either dahil na lock ang account mo or nawala yung keys then later on marerecover mo after many years.

Daming word dito sa post mo na "iimbit", 6x ata, can you tell anu meaning nito?
