401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NFT bring any change in crypto gambling industry? on: August 08, 2021, 11:44:25 PM
I believe that NFTs will be important in the gambling industry; I see a lot of good use cases for NFTs in gambling if gambling platform developers become more creative and idealistic. If they're making a gambling game, or a card game, their cards can be NFTs that can be wagered on. If you check NFTs in the gaming industry, it's being used to play the game and earn some money so if we are using that idea, we can also use NFTs in order to win some extra in gambling games or use it as an asset for betting.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LIST OF #PLAY2EARN GAMES 2021 on: August 08, 2021, 11:32:46 PM
I propose that you include the token that they will receive after playing/winning the game. People like me are interested in knowing if the value of the token they will receive is also valuable. Of course, when selecting an NFT game, you'll consider whether you'll get a quick ROI after playing for a few weeks or months. BBecause there are a lot of NFTs out there that require a lot of money to start a game, but calculating the day you'll get ROI will take a long time.

Anyway, the one you mentioned is what I'm currently playing; axie infinity is a great game that I enjoy playing and earning SLPs in.
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to the coins after your death ? on: August 08, 2021, 11:22:03 PM
If you are healthy or do not expect to die sooner like you have plenty of enemies trying to get you just keep your private keys and seed with you. I can see the logic that anyone could die any moment, probably won't wake up the next morning but at least give it to someone you know you can trust.
Even you are healthy, it doesn't guarantee you to live longer than people who are sick. The reasons to die are varied, no one can predict how he will die and when it is. Because of this fact, we must prepare everything, including sharing our important assets with the most trusted person in our life. If you think your children or wife can be trusted, just give the priority to them. They are the nearest people in our life, always be there to help us every time.
Sickness isn't the only thing that can kill you; there are a variety of situations you could find yourself in if it's your time to go. We don't know where we'll die, and we can't predict how or when we'll die, so I agree that assuring or securing your keys to some relatives is the best fit solution. Of course, you don't want those coins to go to waste just because you die; instead, make certain that someone will inherit and benefit from them.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: August 08, 2021, 05:52:21 PM
My question is, should online gambling companies be responsible for the harm related to their activities because of their current failures in the implementation and control of CSR policies?
I think those CSR on every online casino are used as references and applied the advice of the service for gamblers in order to reduce its addiction if at some extent people feel got addicted to gambling. After all every single person that comes to online casinos are adults who supposed to take responsibility for all of their own activities, it isn't necessary for online casinos to fully accompany the customers on taking rehabilitation.
Adults already know what they're doing; they have the option of gambling or not gambling with their money. There are different stages of gambling addiction; there is a specific stage that CSR handles and is doing its job, but the next stage is already decided by the gamblers, so they are to blame.
What kind of harm can a gambler get while playing online? Curved spine because of sitting on a bad chair and loosing visual acuity? But that is not what company be responsible for. If a gambler looses a lot - this is an addiction that specialists must cure. Chances of loosing due to phishing ? Again this is gamblers responsibility.

Only responsible gamblers should gamble because a responsible gambler will not blame a casino when he losses it's part of the game, a responsible gambler knows he should gamble what he can afford to lose, the majority of gambling sites always warn their players, they do not lack warning their players if he failed to heed that, whatever the consequences it should be his responsibility.

Losing funds because of phishing sites isn't the responsibility of a gambling casino anymore. We're always advised to be mindful of our actions and be careful on clicking suspicious sites. Gambling sites don't have any control over that. It could harm careless players and aren't mindful of their actions. We must know how to get rid of phishing sites these days. We should think before we click.
This is another's gambler fault. You should always take care of what links are you clicking. If you get baited on some phishing sites then, this isn't the fault of the gambling company, it's your lack of knowledge about some fake sites spreading in the internet.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: August 08, 2021, 04:55:14 PM
Gamblin is really a problem for everyone who cant control themselves when they are already addicted to it, but first, how can we identify whether the person is a gambling addict or not, here are some of the reasons why can we call someone an addict to gambling.
1. Skipping meals
2. Not able to take a bath
3. Cannot spend time with their friends or family.
4. Skipping sleep.
5. Doin desperate things just to have money to gamble.

Always make sure that if you are going to gamble, you should play accordingly, do not spend all of your time on it and always be in control.
You can add more such as:
6. They do not go out of their rooms and spend their time playing gambling or watching or learning more about gambling.
7. Always think about how they can win from gambling.
8. Sometimes dream of winning from gambling and get delirious to be the winner.
9. Can not focus on other things besides playing gambling.
etc.

But I guess many more signs of addiction to gambling that we do not know because the signs will be different from others.
10. Trying to get back lost money by gambling more or chasing losses.
11. Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut back on gambling.
12. Commit theft or fraud to get gambling money.
13. Harm or lose important relationships, jobs, or school or job opportunities because of gambling.
14. Betting is not for fun and is also betting beyond its means.

And there are many signs of gambling addiction depending on the signs you feel and not all of them, and if you recognize your own behavior from the list of signs and symptoms of compulsive gambling, seek professional help.
15. Already having difficulties in making decisions, doesn't consider any circumstances.
16. Possibility of adopting other addictions like being alcoholic or drugs.
17. Having a hard time to asses any situations, focusing on just winning.

This is the only thing I can contribute, and there are many more, so I'll let the others quote and continue this because they may have an idea on what other cases to look for to determine if someone is addicted to gambling.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 08, 2021, 03:26:45 PM

How would you keep your kid effectively from watching shit stuff on Youtube? I can tell you that's impossible, and if the kid doesn't use its own iPad, it might already hold yours in its hand. It is really difficult to exclude videos you deem bad for your kid. There is all kinds of stuff on the platform and they already know the tricks how to get the stuff rolling on the iPad that they want.

Keeping your child away from gadgets is impossible if from time to time the kid always see his/her parents holding gadgets. I never want to admit it but I think having a kid today can't be a kid like us on our generation. Today, raising a child while exposing him/her in technology is inevitable since this is what they will going to see when they going outside their home, watching videos on youtube became a way to entertain a child. Not all the time it is bad to exposed a child in technology but the strong parental guidance is strongly advice.
Yeah, most kids nowadays rely on gadgets; their recreational activities are now centered on gadgets, and the majority of kid shows are available on YouTube. Because we can't really defeat children's curiosity, it's entirely possible that they will discover gambling activities in some gadgets. Most of the kids right now are exposed to technology, it's true, you can see everywhere that many kids aren't really playing outside now to enjoy, most are on devices.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motivated by "breaking the code" on: August 08, 2021, 01:03:16 PM
The casino has an advantage on these machines and the longer we play the closer we get to the edge of the casino.
But in my experience, the more you play the more you will lose. Attempting in more number of times, will not maximize your chance of beating the house is such games which includes dicing as well. If you are lucky you may hit on your first attempt and if you exit at that point then you may remain profits and if you try for another time then you may lose or at least on the third attempt.

If someone says he broke the code of the machine I would only believe it if I see him do it
If someone is able to crack the code then they may profit all the money from that machine until management change the algorithm. If they find a machine is draining out then definitely they will change codes/algorithm as early as possible and this is how casinos are surviving even among many hacks.
Agree with you tho,  if you play too much, you're just increasing your chances of losing because it's not always a win-win situation because, in gambling, you're always losing.

I don't really rely on this breaking the code scheme because it just gives you a reason to play more, and winning is still not dependent on it.

You will lose if you do not win.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in TRC20 tokens on: August 07, 2021, 07:54:42 PM
Because the most common tokens are BEP20 and ERC20, I don't usually invest in TRC20 tokens, and besides, if no one knows about it, there will be no investors and no pump and dump schemes. TRC20 transaction fees are very low when compared to ERC20 and BEP20, but the problem is that only a few of the coins created there have potential.

The only TRC20 tokens I am familiar with are WIN and BTT, both of which are fully supported by Justin Sun, but I do not invest in them.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Number of altcoins keep increasing! on: August 07, 2021, 07:26:03 PM
Now the scammers are also increasing with the number of altcoins. Many altcoins are useless, now we are confused about which is a good project and which will scam. I suggest you stay away from shitcoins many will scam. You will be able to buy but you will not be able to sell them because there will be no option for that.
You should always DYOR in the world of altcoins! Pump and dump schemes are common in altcoins, so you can win instantly and lose if you invest late in that coin.

I've made some money from pump and dump coins, but it's a huge risk; you really need to determine if the roadmap appears legit and will be followed throughout the year. Some developers are simply extorting money from newcomers by enticing them with appealing objectives and goals of the coin that are, in reality, a sham.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Splintershards (SPS) on: August 02, 2021, 11:23:28 PM
The game is pretty good, it's a card game and I really like it but the majority of the players aren't interested in card games but I'm still hoping that it will go boom in the future.

Bought spellbook for 10usd.
Got my ROI after 3 days because of this gold foil card (NFT).

This card cost 26.9, lucky that I've played this game. They're dropping SPS every day via Hive, staking available right now.

SPS is currently at dip right now, might go grab your SPS now, if another pump happened, it's any easy x5 but still DYOR (do your own research).
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: August 02, 2021, 10:48:57 PM
There's always good solution for someone who are trying to work with this concern, it's not easy but working on it with proper balance and adjustment, self-control helps you to manage your bankroll properly, that includes also time staying inside  gambling venues.
If someone who cannot attain that type of budget that the other gamblers can to prolong their stay as they gamble, there's really a solution on it. And it varies depending the game that they're playing and with the amount that they put every bet they make.
Well, with such budget that they have and if they're staying for long even if they no longer have a budget. They're obliged to withdraw or get another budget because that how it feels when they're staying long without anything to gamble.
Stick to your budget and wont go overboard and once you had consumed or lost it all on the time you do play then dont tend to add up just for you to mind to break even or chase losses.

This is the primary reason on why you do go past to your limit because you are tolerating on what you do have in mind and as long you do know that you have money to spend then
you would definitely be playing even more and wont minding about tomorrows expenses.Even if you are hell a of a rich guy but there would be coming to a point that you would
be surely wrecked that hard.
This is one of the problems that other gamblers face; they can't control themselves and continue to gamble after their gambling budget has been depleted. If you lack self-discipline, you have a high risk of becoming addicted to gambling.
If you can't afford to lose a lot of money, you should know right away that gambling isn't a good way to make money.

Don't go over your limits or else, it's you that will get affected.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 02, 2021, 09:47:04 PM
Try Valorant! Stage 3 challengers are happening right now and I'm wondering why VALORANT isn't included in the OP because it's the mainstream game right now and a lot of tournaments happened recently. Even the popular streamers of twitch are playing Valorant and having watch party on VCT Challengers 2 and now I'm waiting for VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs. and next is the VCT Berlin Masters! A lot of tournaments are waiting so I hope that those popular platforms mentioned have VALORANT bettings.
Valorant is a potential big sport that's going to be hopefully be on par with the success of CS:GO but I still have this inkling feeling that Valorant in my opinion is just a rip off of Overwatch which has a pretty good tournaments but Blizzard is just too stupid to keep up the hype and take care of the game now it's not popular.
Well, it's still pandemic; wait for Riot to step up when the pandemic is over, and you'll notice significant changes in the game and even the professional eSports scene. Riot is pretty popular, if you know how long League has been running for, and their world championship, Worlds, has so much hype that you'll definitely watch it and be curious about the game if you haven't played. Valorant encourages precise gameplay, similar to CS:GO, but with skills; Overwatch's physics are a little different and more like an RPG style, so I don't think it's a ripoff. But Valorant is still a must-play game; it's been a year and counting, but look at how large the community is; it's bound to go big and conquer eSports soon.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: August 02, 2021, 09:28:02 PM
Is it possible that most people only discuss here to fulfill their signature requirement? In my case, I don’t play games at casino. I used to play back in the day but not anymore while I'm still having sportsbet on most of the matches.
Gambling isn't a rare activity that only a few people can participate in; there are a lot of gambling activities, and you can even see people gambling on the street, so I don't think most of them don't have any experience in gambling and aren't allowed to discuss gambling topics here. It is not difficult to gain gambling experience.
Be honest and share about you whether you post only for your signature requirement or you post because you are involved in gambling & you want to know or share knowledge.
Some people are posting for signatures, but it doesn't matter as long as he has an idea on the topic and can share his/her experience, gambler or not, as I've previously stated, gambling is subjective, everyone has already experienced risk, which is what most of the topics in this section discuss.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: August 02, 2021, 09:00:03 PM
I picked interest in Gambling recently and I love playing for fun, but lately, I lost most of the games this has made me lose some money and I would like to learn how to gamble.

I will appreciate anyone who can help with a guide or share a link to where I can learn how to gamble for beginners.
There are plenty of guides on the internet, especially on youtube vlogging their win and losses so you can have an idea how is it hard if you're having a losing streak. Sometimes you'll learn about gambling games by experience, playing an actual game but risky because your money is on the line. In terms of how to handle yourself in gambling or risk management, you're in the right section because you can learn from people's experiences. If you're just playing for fun, I don't think it matters whether you win or lose as long as you enjoy gambling, but if you really want to win, you should play with a strategy and, of course, control your emotions to avoid being ruined by gambling.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motivated by "breaking the code" on: August 02, 2021, 08:21:22 PM
You'll know that it's so hard because he was challenge by that slot machine and claiming that he'll beat that. I think he's motivated to win a game and I think this kind of person has a higher chance of getting addicted as he already challenging the gambling game, won't stop until he beat it. No one can break the code; if you're unlucky, you'll still lose, even if you're super motivated to play hard. Being motivated doesn't mean you'll get a win streak, sometimes it shows that you're ready to bet all just to win the game and sometimes end up losing all.
416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Always take profit on: August 02, 2021, 03:12:17 PM
You right, not any one in trading can manage with always profit consistently every session created because we can't predicting when bitcoin or altcoin suddenly dump, now many outside news make trader and investor panic to sell their coin. This why always use 60% from my fund to buy some coin, left 40% I use when bitcoin or altcoin suddenly dump so I got with good price.
Asset diversification is one of the strategies that many traders use in an effort to increase the profitability of their asset. If you believe enough in bitcoin then you can be 100% with it but if not then you have to diversify. There is nothing wrong if a trader chooses 50% of his total asset to be in altcoin while in my opinion bitcoin should also be considered in his portfolio.
This is one of my methods, in order to gain then diversify your money so you can gain from other coins too. Take advantage of other potential cryptocurrencies because there are many of them with a good use-case and the potential to be game-changers in the crypto market. And if you only have a small amount of money to invest, it's better to make money on other new altcoins that can pump x2 in a short period of time. Don't be loyal to one, diversifying your money is a good method, many people have already tried and get profit from this method.
417  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, do you still choose fiat currency? on: August 02, 2021, 02:54:30 PM
Quote
Bitwage is a platform that converts wages into cryptocurrency. Bitwage founder Jonathan Chester said: “A lot of people now want to earn part or all of their wages through Bitcoin.” The company has made contributions in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia this year. 20,000 employees. Some users processed $30 million in salaries, including employees from Google, Facebook, General Electric, Philips, the United Nations, and the U.S. Navy. Many of these employees have signed up for this service themselves.

Chester stated that he converts 15% of his monthly salary into virtual currency, which is "a way to not worry about whether to buy or accumulate bitcoin or cryptocurrency at the right time."

Many companies are also considering allowing their employees to choose to receive partial or full compensation in the form of cryptocurrency. If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, which one would you choose? If the boss pays in Bitcoin, would you want it? Or you continue to prefer to pay in fiat currency to facilitate the purchase of tokens you like.
Do you think cryptocurrency payment will be a new trend in the future?
It depends on the circumstances? If the market changes dramatically, I don't want to receive a crypto salary unless there is a bonus, such as for transaction fees and other expenses. But, of course, choosing fiat as payment is much better because if you want to invest, you can simply convert it and buy the specific cryptocurrency you want. Even crypto is very trendy, people will still choose the stable coin, maybe choosing usdt or busd is a good option, at least they're cryptocurrency Smiley
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: August 02, 2021, 02:19:15 PM
The challenges of parenting have always been challenging, but the widespread adoption of smartphones and the rise of social media have added to the difficulty.
How much screen time should parents allow their kids? And how long before it interferes with children's normal development? And what is normal in today's world anyway?

I recently read an article by Pew Research Center stating that two-thirds of parents in the U.S. say parenting is harder today than it was 20 years ago, with many citing technologies, like social media or smartphones, as a reason. As parents, however, I believe that should not be an excuse. It is our duty to stay up to date on our kids' activities, and we should actively participate in their interests.

The issue is that parents mostly because of their jobs do not have the time to watch their kids as close as they could in the past, I really think that when it comes to smartphones, computers and video games consoles some limits must be set, the amount of time they are allowed to use those devices is not important what matters is that there is a limit as it is not rare for kids today to spend most of their time in front of one of those 3 devices.

Your post is basically my opinion of how the Internet can be damaging for kids, since most of the posts here only focus on adults and how their internet gambling can be harmful but there are many children that are already addicted to the internet and even my own kids are starting to show signs of it.
I'm struggling to make them aware of the dangers that exist online, especially when they see other kids spending so much time on their devices. It makes me wonder - after reading how others have addressed the same issue with their own children, if it is imperative that kids learn about the Internet's potential dangers from an early age? Or, am I just being paranoid?

yes, I think its important to teach them from an early age, but in a way that doesn't kill their curiosity about internet too
in the end it is a tool so you can use it in a bad way or in a good way

but its much easier to go a good path if educated since the beggining than in a time in the future after the damage is done
But it's difficult because the internet has a lot of things to see, and I'm pretty sure he'll find gambling eventually. The internet provides us with useful information, particularly for children, and makes research easier than it was in the past, when books were the only reliable source. The only thing we need to do is discipline them and teach them the do's and don'ts of the internet; I believe they will understand if they learn more about it. The fact that they have no idea about gambling makes them even more curious, so teach them and give them plenty of time.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women in Gambling on: August 02, 2021, 01:10:13 PM
Gender does not matter in gambling; it is a recreational activity that anyone can participate in without making gender a factor in the game. Women's gambling is very common in my country; you can see them playing bingo or tongits on any street.

You'll only see a few women in casinos because gambling isn't their favorite recreational activity; they'd rather go shopping than waste time gambling; they'll prioritize what makes them happy. Don't make gambling a male activity only just because majority of the players are male.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: August 02, 2021, 12:52:13 PM

Right, it's a common thing nowadays, not knowing what exactly your kids are doing online. I think what we can do as parents is explain what our kids might encounter with beforehand, before they saw it inside of a game or someone showed them in some other place. Don't wait for that. Explain the possible risks of gambling to your kid.

We can't deny that this kind of resources were made easily available in the use of internet and can be accessed by minor or kids. On the other hand, this is the kind of scenario that a parents guidance on a kid we're very much needed but the kids today were having their alone time with their gadgets that a parents sometimes couldn't hold or check the phone. So it is very important that a parent is very much attentive to observe the actions of the child.

Some gaming and gambling sites can be traced on their history and some of them had an application that you can install, always check what applications are installed in your kids cellphone, give them a stern warning that they cannot use their cellphone for a limited time if they are caught using an application that deals with gambling, kids nowadays are afraid their phone confiscated so they cannot do anything but follow their parents.
I'm aware of a number of games that include a betting feature but only use in-game currency rather than real money. However, children are being introduced to a game that will pique their interest in gambling, which is extremely concerning. They will eventually learn how to gamble as a result of the mobile game that was previously thought to be a children's game only. People should be aware of this, especially parents who have no idea what kind of game is available in the play store right now.
