Очень полезная фича в свете угрозы квантовых компов Smiley

Если кто-то и захочет посерьезней взятся за чужой биткоин - он скорее заюзает электрический вспоминатель чем будет строить суперкомпьютер.

did you disable your sound card in the BIOS? A compromised OS could send your keys via morse code through you speakers! Shocked

come on, you should know better than that!

His printer is gathering all data in it's hidden drive. When it gets thrown out - NSA agents disguised as bums will retrieve information.

No not yet, wanted to check if there was any other simple newbie way I might have missed.
Plus, I have 2x GPUs, does it automatically (GUIMiner) use both?
Thanks.

delete your guiminer and setup cgminer

a lot of threads for this one

scrypt is "profitable" as of now, even without "free electricity"

If you are fine with such risks you might as well just buy btc directly.
1185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you guys like to earn your BTC? on: November 08, 2013, 09:19:39 AM
I made about 150 btc this week by trading LTC ↔ BTC  Smiley

Ah yes, forgot about trading

Although I'm more like 0.150 btc Smiley
1186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you guys like to earn your BTC? on: November 08, 2013, 09:14:21 AM
free bitcoin faucet

i'm sure captcha is easy by solver standards, so you could possibly set up a bot for this faucet

Me myself got 0.4 btc from some freebies/faucets 0.4 btc from sig space and the rest from mining

I would prefer to be simply mining for the rest of my life, if it was easier

Cheesy Yeah that's exactly how people talk to me when I point out how shitty DRM is, I'm feeling extremely smug after the adobe hack.

withouth drm there would be much LESS software around

Chivalry - Medieval Warfare

Tried pirated at first, which was great fun, now going to buy real deal if some steam discount pops up.

That was another great game that had it's balance ruined for the sake of silly RPG progression bullshit Sad shame really and I warned them about it on the forums too so you can expect them to ignore players and fuck things up more, they've also made the mistake of releasing multiplayer DLC which completely segregates communities.

yeah, that pirates ninjas thing is wrong IMO
1190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC will drop soon... on: November 06, 2013, 01:24:59 PM
cool guys. I will try it out today.
Just angry, that I didn't buy it 3 days ago  Angry  Sad  Shocked

You will be angry at yourself one way or another, with that approach.

You just need to act, and do not think about "shoulda-coulda-woulda".

I would like to be free financially first of all. Not being subjected from my birth to taxes which support elite and politicians.

You have warcraft 3 twice actually
1193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best faucet sites? on: November 06, 2013, 12:15:10 PM
I'd suggest you to try some of them for a week, this could be enough to find the valuable ones.
Avoid the ones based on inputs.io, I found they were not really reliable in general.

In "pay to click on ads", bitvisitor and coinad are good.

I love clean made websites like this. Even if it's a waste of time, it sure looks sleek and professional. Props to designer/webmaster.

1195  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which DSLR camera to pick? Nikon D3100 vs D5100? on: November 06, 2013, 12:24:43 AM
My friend has the D3100 and he is very happy with it. He makes awesome pics.
I've got a D3100, and it really is the best camera for the price. The D5100 is better, but I doubt you'd notice much of a difference below ISO 1600, and it's not really worth the extra cost unless you really need such high sensitivity, IMO.

All in favor of 3100 Smiley I see. Thanks for your input, everyone.

Nikon D3100 body is 241EUR
Nikon D5100 body is 330 EUR

D5100 has better resolution, swivel LCD - which is good for making strange angle shots and video. It can film with a little bit higher fps. It has microphone jack. It supposedly has better HIGH ISO performance (although I rarely use ISO higher than 400). It has a newer sensor, but it's impossible to find side by side comparison photos on the net.
D3100 is almost 100EUR cheaper, which can buy me some extra lens or flash.

Anyone of you has D3100 and can swear by it? Or maybe 5100?

It's intended for my gf's birthday, and I don't want to spoil a surprise by asking her opinion. Canon and other brand's are out of the question, as we have some nikon lenses with our old d40 already.

Get a smartphone that have really good mega pixel instead?

No, just no. That's two different worlds.

My toes are warm from all the sockpuppets posting useless crap here.

Prefer naked, its good for your blood circulation Smiley

actually no (if it's too cold and you do not move enough)

If you don't need to make videos, it's a good one. I got a gopro for that.

Regardless, you can find many better examples online.

thanks!

So there's finally a bitcoin ATM after all this talk? I wonder how those news have slipped past me.
1199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What should be the Goal(s) of Government? on: November 03, 2013, 11:50:10 AM
There's no ideal solution. No utopia for you, sorry. Not in your lifetime, or in a lifetime of your kids. Only thing you can do is to steal/earn enough for yourself and those that are close to you, and live happily ever after in some remote corner, as far as you can be from any government. People are competitive by nature, they work in their own interests, and there are too many people with too many interests. It's logical that given the power you usurp that power. If someone is delusional enough to believe in some greater good, this is only a stage in his life, until a point where his delusions are replaced with common sense, coming in terms with his needs.
Unless the entire generation of youth believes in the same delusion.

Quote
A question: once government is out of individual control, how do individuals stop it from evolving into fascism/communism without taking control of it again?
Anarchy, complete nature and balance.

Even if you raise all that generation as your kids, teaching them to be good and all, and giving all attention needed - there will be conflicts and it will go out of control. People will fight for money, for power, for space. It's human nature.

If you altruistically give give and give, there will be those who'll get used to take take and take. You will get tired of giving it to people like that, and stop - they will get angry at you for stopping, and fight among themselves for scraps, or even attack you. If we build something together, one of us will get tired/annoyed/bored faster than others and will sabotage our hard labor. If one of us works harder than others, he would want to receive better payment than others.

Only possible way would be to clone same guy over and over, and brainwash him - so there's uniformity. Unachievable otherwise.

I've decided to browse local eBay for a hot deal, and will go from there. If I get overkill price for D5100 I'll take it, if not - D3100 then.

Since that you don't have a lot of previous experience, the 5100 would be an overkill. The 3100 is already a great camera, it already has everything you need.
I own a 3000, that can't even make a video, and i don't miss it.
You've tried both cameras or is that only your opinion?
I've used the 3000 that i own and both the 3100 and the 5100 from friends, yes.
Since that he is getting started and he is wondering about getting the cheaper model, he should get the cheaper model. He won't notice the difference.

If that's not too much hassle, could you post one or two of your favorite pics made with your D3000?
