How do we know you weren't the one that murdered your brother?

Ahhhh, the Internets.

We have a woman on trial right now, which turned her daughter blind, day by day, while she was drugged with sleeping pills. Just to get a welfare bonus for her child's disability.
Also she has been doing similar stuff to other 2 sons, both of whom died eventually.
They caught her in the end, but she's been doing that for 14 years...

That's really bad - printmule - got a link to this?

It's in latvian/russian languages and google translate refuses to work for that page, so It will do you no good. If you want to get a stab still:

Just noticed the topic is changed:     Block Erupter USB Sales [Temporarily Out of Stock]

I'm guessing that's a sales tactic\

Announcer:   And now back to Money Quest, on HBC.
Host 1:   [Camera zooms in on the two hosts] Welcome back to Money Quest. [Kyle looks at the show] In just over two weeks, young financial genius Eric Cartman [his picture appears on the screen behind the hosts] has managed to turn a theme park that was seeing less than a hundred attendees a day into a thriving park with attendance in the thousands.
Host 2:   And the way he did it is with the brilliant "You Can't Come" technique. For the first several days, the young businessman saturated the market with the claim that nobody could get into his park. It made the public crazy. So then, weeks later, when he opened the doors, they were lining up around the block. Simply amazing.
Host 1:   Well, ahah I thnk we should point out that this technique is already being applied by businesses all over the country.
[At a restaurant where all the tables are empty and everyone is waiting in line...]
Waitress:   I'm sorry, we're no longer taking reservations. Nobody can eat here. You'll have to leave now.
[At the Bijou, where everyone is waiting outside....]
Clerk:   No, I'm sorry. You can't see this movie. Nobody can see this movie. I can't even go in.
[At Gracy's clothing store, a sales associates barks orders...]
Associate:   [the shoppers rush out of there] Out! Nobody is allowed into Gracy's anymore! Get out of here! [kicks the last shopper out]
   [Back to Money Quest...]
Host 1:   Amazing. Eric Cartman is surely the financial genius of our time.

Can't protesters just occupy something in a way, that police cannot nitpick? Smiley like not blocking traffic, or dividing in large group on a sidewalks?

I know that it sounds silly...
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning! Possible bug on Cryptsy, coins lost?? [FIXED] on: June 29, 2013, 09:01:23 AM
Had a same problem with withdrawal, and after reading this - figured that cryptsy asked for email confirmation.
It would be nice to have a warning/informative message on a withdrawal page.

I like how topic states that "Your Bitcoin Forum account must have been created before February 19, 2013, 18:45 UTC, in order to be eligible. Only one Ripple address per user, please. (All but the first valid address you post will be ignored)" and yet begging continues. Free advertisement. This topic should be closed. Mods?!

1518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Shipito(mail forwarder) vs bitcointalk user + escrow on: June 26, 2013, 01:42:07 PM
it's crazy
countries which make this stuff in tonnes and have humongous population to cater to, cannot compete with another country overseas?
1519  Economy / Trading Discussion / Shipito(mail forwarder) vs bitcointalk user + escrow on: June 26, 2013, 01:02:42 PM
As stuff in the US is usually a lot cheaper than rest of the world, I use mail forwarders time to time. But there are certain limitations (not very eager to repackage, slow, extra shipping fees, and problems with buying stuff with non US data in the first place).

I'm thinking about asking somebody on this forum to (let's imagine) buy me certain cpu, maybe tear down the package and keep stock cooler, or a CD, effectively making package 10x smaller. Also import duties in EU are insanely unfair, while sender can mitigate that by lowering price tag on a package.  There are all kind of killer deals for US residents. Combo buys, mail in rebates and all that jazz. I get lower price, buyer gets to keep extra stuff and rebates. Win-win?

How safe are escrow services? Even if it's a great escrow, will he believe me if I get screwed over? Hmm... esc-row e-screw...

I would love to hear some opinions, guys(and gals).

Also what about prices in the countries where that tech originates from? China, Malaysia, Korea , etc. Do they get it even cheaper than USA?
1520  Other / Politics & Society / Re: occupy taksim on: June 26, 2013, 10:24:39 AM
Yet the crime rate was virtually zero. There was no looting, virtually no vandalism (accept police vehicles and a pastry shop owned by the municipal of Istanbul), no harrassement (even though there were young girls sleeping in the park alone), and no in fighting (even though there were ideologically opposing groups staying in the park).

I call bullshit. Huge crowd of violent hoodlums is bound to cause damage. Shop window, passerby's head, car - equally good targets for a brick. Those policemen are simple men, just like you, trying to keep country in order, just to get their heads bashed in. Even if some 5% of protesters act on a decent cause, the rest of them are what they are: adrenaline junkies, seeking to channel their frustration and violent tendencies.

There was a protest in Brazil recently, now that was quite peaceful.
