1443  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Forums should eliminate 'Scammer' ratings and 'Trust' ratings on: July 09, 2013, 02:48:07 AM
So far trust ratings were really helpful for me personally.

It's a fastest way to tag/report someone too.
1444  Other / Off-topic / Re: No idea where to post this but "I'm so done" on: July 09, 2013, 02:32:33 AM
This is so old news

It was the first thing I tried after playing my freebie at that dice, to log in other people's accounts. And while you can make some bets to fuck with someone, no one will keep btc on their accounts longer than needed for betting.

А топик то селфмодерируется, как это я не заметил. Интересно сколько постов потерто уже.

Any updates so far?
1447  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Hearty Mini Raffle! 1/100 tickets sold. Entry from 0.0005 to 0.002 BTC on: July 05, 2013, 09:48:27 PM
Yeah, I was a part of it and it seemed sketchy from a start, but that's not even a true raffle if tickets are free. But does it mean that all subsequential raffles are scams? Also for 0.0005 btc only thing you can buy is a box of matches.

Why don't you let a third party (escrow) hold all the raffle entries.  That would show a little more legitimacy.

I'm not interested as much. Whole idea was to get people going with more than just "1F7x2983cdghvd7c7ycc THANKS OP!". A little more effort, at least some input. I welcome any respected third party to make a similar or same raffle in another thread, with hopefully better luck. I would gladly join if ticket price is not too high. I close this thread, sorry to take your time.  Undecided

Add billing adresses and all that crap, plus monthly fees.
1449  Other / Off-topic / Re: best movie you have ever seen in your life on: July 05, 2013, 06:00:52 PM
I don't get it, who nominated godFARTer as the best movie ever? Is it some kind of snowball effect? Is it because of IMDB?

I'd pick... say, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" over godfather any day. And it's not even in my top 20.

I know direction is great, and it's full of them easy to remember quotes, but come on, not the best!

My bad, I searched seduce a Jew

Possibly don't say anything about her nose size/shape. That will score you some points.
Hitler is a no-no too.
1452  Other / Off-topic / Re: Kid jailed for 4 month now, for a facebook comment with a 500k $ bail on: July 05, 2013, 02:46:38 PM
Haha, in my own country (Latvia) there's news (10 minutes ago) about 31 year old woman who made 2 messages on her facebook, about how she's "gonna make massacre similar to Breivik's in Norway". She's been taken in police custody now. So shit's sure is spreading. We have some laws against internet bullying and against motivating racial hate (which is still against freedom of speech, imho) but this one is taking us to the next tier.

UPDATE/EDIT: She left total of 2 messages. One "gonna make massacre similar to Breivik's in Norway" and other "gonna make massacre similar to recent USA massacre". Twice the fun there!

Stay tuned, folks!

---------------------

Local kindergarten kid drew Mohammad, faces 5 years in jail with 20.000 bail! Neighbor posted a video in his facebook account featuring his dog dressed up as one of Tsarnaev brothers, and violently barking, SWAT is on it's way as we speak!

BREAKING NEWS!  Sally Goldstein, the 14 year old facebook user has left a comment saying that she "hates her classmates, and hopes they die slow death tomorrow, along with the principal". There's emergency meeting going on at LAPD headquarters, there's rumors about possible military involvement!

Back to you Tom!
1453  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Buying used GPU's? on: July 05, 2013, 02:14:45 PM
You should wait for 79XXs or buy them now for a reasonable price. Also some folks run their cards at 80, 90 degrees, so that's that.

1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ASICS killing BTC ? on: July 05, 2013, 12:17:24 PM
The companies which build the ASIC's are killing bitcoin. Look at BFL for example. They are using everyone's 'pre-order' money to build their own machines and then rape bitcoin themselves, only shipping when the difficulty goes too high.

but they do not rape bitcoin Smiley bitcoin still works
1456  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] i5 4670k NEW (maybe from microcenter?) with shipping to Latvia on: July 05, 2013, 12:13:32 PM
I want to buy i5 4670k , possibly from MicroCenter store in US (they sell for 199$ there)
Also they have cpu-mobo bundles, where they make additional 40$ discount.

I want the processor, cause it's very easy and cheap to ship, but maybe it's worth to take mobo as well.
I'm guessing there all kind of other discounts and rebates and whatnot, if you live in USA.

So I need someone to go pickup that cpu at the store and mail it to me.

I can simply use service like shipito (mail forwarder) but it's not convenient enough, they wont repackage good enough, and rebate/discounts are ineffective then too.

Basically I want to buy brand new 4670k for 199$ or less, + shipping, and possible repackaging(tear off all info about item inself, throw out instruction, maybe throw out stock cooler, and set lower price info on packaging, or do not mention price at all). Any combo bonuses or rebates you, of course, save for yourself. Once the item arrives I'll pay in BTC/LTC at current exchange(of your choosing) price. We can use escrow, if you want, but I can also provide some other insurance instead.

Its a fair deal, and i's not urgent, so type your suggestion's here, or leave me a PM (and inform me about it in the thread please).

Thank you for your time.

Ok, thanks for the input.

Seemed like a nice idea to me. Max profit for someone would be 0.2 btc, not so big amount to earn scammer tag for it. Max profit for me could be ~0.02 btc, and maybe 0.2 if I win, but I really would not want for that to happen, cause of possible shitstorm.

There we go. From idea about love it went to idea about shitstorms.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ASICS killing BTC ? on: July 05, 2013, 07:31:49 AM
These asics are not interested in breaking bitcoin themselves, so if they mine, they will try to distribute their hashing speed on ifferent pools and etc. Otherwise they will LOSE IT ALL too.

Bitcoin will survive and have stable network doing those calculations. It's only that mining for simple basement dwellers becomes dead. And opportunistic fiat flowing into bitcoin slows down, lowering the price at that.

Only thing I would like to see - lesser reward for block in next 4 months, so those asics don't get to print too much money daily. They should be awarded with ~25% over their electricity and maintenance costs, not more.

Is it that noone interested in rafles anymore, and everyone just wants stuff for free instead of 0.0005 BTC ?
Or is it that I don't have a hero status?
Or rules are unacceptable?

I welcome someone to comment on this.
Thank you.
