Nice word BTCforJoe, shit people like this, especially digaran, need to know all the counter things for what he had said. He always says his lunatic words and force people to believe him, and i guess some of people believe in him for unknown reasons, because maybe they are both lunatics.

To add something from BTCforJoe, even member without red tag wont be accepted if they are on the ban list like SMAS or darklist, that is the difference between a great managers and great companies with bad managers and bad companies.

264  Other / Meta / Re: How can I overcome the merit barrier? on: June 08, 2018, 04:45:08 PM
The introduction of the merit system has been applauded by many. Others too have spoken against it. I have been on the side of the merit system.

But looking at my activity points and where my rank still is, makes me understand why so many are against the merit system. I, though, still support the merit system.

There are those whom it seems know the key to earning merits. So I am asking, can such members share their knowledge here?

Why did they against merit? Oh wait i know. Because they cant go to next rank and can not earn more money with their recent signature. If they dont care about money, they will not mad about not levelling up in this forum, and even if they care a lot about money they should work hard for it. It is privilege, not a right., you have to earn it, but apparently they just want the easy way to earn money in this forum.

You can get merits by working hard, help members, contribute more, be visible, etc. O wait, you all guys who whine can not do it because you guys only want an easy money in this forum.
265  Other / Meta / Re: Can I get the Full Member status? on: June 07, 2018, 04:48:13 PM
Yes you can. You only need to improve yourself by learning a lot about cryptocurrency and then be helpful to others. That is the way. Even though it takes a lot of times and hard work, it is still an possible task to do. Oh wait, you are just a lazy person i guess.
266  Other / Meta / Re: How Do You Feel About This New System?? on: June 07, 2018, 02:44:44 PM
I like the idea of merit. As I said in the main post I think it will help cut down useless posts and spam. It will also help fight against signature campaign fraud and account farming.

My only issue with the system is that I was 30 points away from becoming a hero member, but now, I will also have to wait for another 250 merit points. I think that they should have made the merit equal to activity for its introduction.

I have the same thoughts and sentiment. I have not visited this forum for a year and I was surprised and annoyed when I learned about the new Merit Point System. For me I believe that this Merit Point System has its ups and downs.

But the biggest effect that this Merit Point System brought is that it lessened the number of active users in this forum because as we all know, it became much harder to reach a higher rank because of this system. Obtaining merits is not an easy thing to do and requires luck, time, and more effort.

The good effect of this new system is that I really noticed that the number of dummy accounts has incredibly decreased.

If the so you called active users are become more passive in this forum because merit stop them to become higher rank, then i guess merit does the job right. They apparently just want the money from this forum because higher rank means higher money. If they never care about money, or only have a tiny little care about money, then they will still be here talking with others, sharing knowledge with others, helping each others, etc, but they only care about rank.
267  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system fact on: June 07, 2018, 09:09:15 AM
More and more thread like this nowadays. I dont know when this will be over haha. But to be honest, it is an irony when in the title you said merit system fact yet your post is about your opinion  Grin . You dont get a lot of merit because of some reasons and if its happen to you doesnt mean it happens to others. I see many members get merits easily because they have quality in their self, which you dont have at all.
268  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: June 07, 2018, 05:45:59 AM
@Jet Cash

If you know so much, If you think they're right they say , if you trust yourself ;

Create a zero account and win 900+ Merits... Do this and prove to me 80 merit sources they are doing their job properly... But you can't... You already know that

I do not think to write anything more and I give thanks to friends who help and direct

Jet Cash did it and he prove it newbie can gain merit. He made an account without telling people it is him in the first place, so i guess it works. Then again, you can find a thread made by a member in meta section that listing all member who got merit points. He/she even made the categorized list like "people from 0-100 merits" and "people from 100-250 merits" and so on. I kinda forgot the name of the member, but it is a great thread made by him/her. You should find and check it @Leteravian.
269  Other / Meta / Re: How Do You Feel About This New System?? on: June 07, 2018, 05:13:43 AM
Taking into cognizance how things were when I joined this forum early last year and now, I would say the merit system has done marvelously well in fighting spams. But on the negative:
1. Merit on Legendary account is a waste.
2. The frenzy for merit giving has died off...

For me, the sour part is that even constructive posts don't even get merited any more.

I think it is normal for a system to be like this. At the first time people will use it a lot and then it will gradually become lesser and lesser merits given by people until it stops at one point. But the good thing is, if you made a great posts, it will last long and it has chance to be discovered in the future when people are active in giving merit again. Like me, i dont expect people to post in my thread anymore, you can see the difference of time in each post.
270  Other / Meta / Re: Identity stolen?!?!?!? on: June 06, 2018, 02:30:37 PM
Just a suggestion for you, bump this thread once a day and make the title more appealing for moderators or other member who can help like "Help My Account Got Hacked, Have Signed Message From Original Address", because right now the title is not too appealing and some people wont even bother to click it.
271  Other / Meta / Re: How Do You Feel About This New System?? on: June 06, 2018, 01:08:38 PM
The idea is excellent, and who cares if it will slow down ranking. The only really annoying thing is that merits have not been given proportionally to activity, a choice which has created too many injustices.

It is designed to acknowledge member based on their quality not for their number of post they have done. If it is designed to be given based on activity proportionally, then it is not that hard to gain merits and it would be the same just like "posting randomly and then get rank" like the old system.
272  Other / Meta / Re: Real HoweyCoins Bounty Manager: theymos/suchmoon on: June 06, 2018, 09:29:27 AM
You're right. Just given theymos a 7 day ban for sig spam/duplicate threads.

You might want to revoke it before he change your membership to Micra Member.

Lamborghini member rank is unchangeable.

It can be only changed to Lamborghinis Member Rank i guess  Grin haha. Well i guess it wont be long for hilariousandco got his/her another lamborghini from cryptocurrency xD.
273  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: June 06, 2018, 09:13:48 AM
snip

What i can say to you is, early birds got the most food. You can not blame it. It is the same as if people enter the boat of bitcoin sooner than you, that is the different. That sentence was in the first page, right after the merit introduced and there was so many things to be discovered and that member point out some of valuable information at that time. It is hot topic back there, replied by famous member with a good information on the post, so i guess it is well deserved
274  Other / Meta / Re: I'm spending too much time looking for posts to merit. on: June 05, 2018, 07:04:32 PM
Maybe to ease your self, just focus on the section that you love? That way it would make the meritorious posts hunting become a fun activity because people said "do what you love man !"  Grin. There is one idea that crossed my mind tho, but it would be done if the person doing it really want to help this forum community.

Why dont you make a specific email for the post suggestion, like an email that is not using your identity so it is not trackable. So you tell people to send the post suggestion to that email and you can check on it later. That way it would reduce the number of spam in the thread you made, and you can (or not, maybe skip some because it is not a sin) read the post later. You can lock your thread on the forum and bump it once a day, that way it wont create a spam fest, at least on the forum (would be a lot of spam fest on the email tho)

It is just my opinion tho and i could be wrong  Roll Eyes
275  Other / Off-topic / Re: Money for school fees. Invested in bitcoin. on: June 05, 2018, 05:47:23 PM
You know what? although making a bet is sometimes giving you a good results, but it mostly gives you bad results. And obviously you dont get the important rules on how to invest on to something. The most important rule is, do not use your "hot money" or in other word use only your free money. You dont know how much your tuition fees if they always doubled. My suggestion is, if you already make a profit, cash it out and pay your education fees, please.
276  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much time you spend on researching about bitcoins ? on: June 05, 2018, 05:11:34 PM
You guys really dont need to spend a lot of your time on bitcoin if you guys only care about making money from bitcoin. Just buy when low and then HODL. Even when you buy it at 6000usd just HODL that bitcoin until the prices going up like crazy. The key is just investing  your free money.

Seriously, i only read a little about bitcoin in a day.
277  Other / Meta / Re: Quality posts To get merit? on: June 05, 2018, 04:59:32 PM
I must be the only one who hasn't added him to my ignore list, and I thought that I was the 'Mr Ignore' here. Smiley

I did hope that we could encourage these posters away from trying to scratch pennies by promoting scam coins, but I'm not sure of the best way to do this.

You are not the only one. I have been on a rampage of ignoring people but now i push that brake pedal for a while. We are not being a big headed person because of the capability of us to give merit, but it is really annoying when people asking about how to get merit when they never read or learn, or telling how hard it is to get merit even when they are claiming already made the effort which they didnt make. They make "ignoring" them is the easiest and the best solution right now rather than encouraging them. Is there anyone here really know how to encourages them? I have seen many thread about to be a better member, to be better in english, challenges, etc, which i presume can encourages them but seems they dont even give attention to it.
278  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Introduction of KYC To Establish Trust on: June 05, 2018, 03:02:33 PM
Not only it would decrease the number of alt-accounts, but almost all people would have leave this forum if administrator apply KYC in the registration form. Privation matters in this cryptocurrency world. On top of that, majority of old people here agree that alt account is not a problem, in fact, there are many high ranked members have alt accounts. The problem is when the alt account is associated spammer, it create a lor of problem and it is hard to get rid of, as you can see of now.
279  Other / Meta / Re: Quality posts To get merit? on: June 05, 2018, 10:47:38 AM
I guess if you dont even know which kind of posts are meritorious, then either you are reading in a wrong places or just not reading that much in this 6 months, or both. There have been many posts in every board that got merits, including meta section. From there, you can learn how can a post get merits.

Seriously, do you even read bro??? *insert meme here
280  Other / Meta / Re: What is going on in the Serious discussion section? on: June 04, 2018, 11:27:26 AM
Serious discussion needs to be restricted to members and above, and to be removed from activity credits in my opinion.

I kinda agree with this suggestion from Jet Cash. Serious Discussion board needs to be restricted for member and above . Below that rank, members can only read people's thread on there, it is ideal suggestion, because it sucks when you find trolls in a serious place. Removing activity credits from post on serious discussion should be done too. With that being applied, why would a spammer going there, right?
