801  Economy / Reputation / Re: Admins, ban jollygood and scamvirus on: January 25, 2023, 09:12:37 PM
Do you understand I don't need to provide proof? That I have the benefit of the doubt? That those users first need to come with proof?
Can you please get that? Instead of just defending the guys making the false accusations?
You are the one who came here and claimed that 1xbit paid you 10 BTC, therefore burden of proof is on you. After you failed to do that, you got negative feedback.

People around here are especially sensitive when it comes to 1xbit because they are regularly scamming people and using paid shillers, so when a member like you with no reputation here says something like that, people will ask for proof.

On his other thread, I ask him to sign the wallet where he was supposed to receive the 10 BTC from 1xbit because in the past we have seen how people shill this scam casino by posting that they received or won from 1xbit, people could not just believe that a casino with dubious reputation will send 10 BTC to one of their players, so failing to prove will result in getting you negative feedback.
Unfortunately, your wish will not be granted because you have a very poor reason, and sending negative feedback will not constitute banning, you have a lost cause on this one.
802  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FAKE UNISWAP and OP Airdrop on: January 25, 2023, 02:35:41 PM
This is the risk of claiming airdrops because airdrops have become the venues of scammers because of the many gullible people who think that all airdrops are similar to Uniswap, not doing enough research and using your main wallet to connect to platforms that are offering airdrops is a big risk, avoid connecting your main wallet to any platform, use disposable wallets or newly created wallets.
Airdrops are two things now, they use you to promote their platform, and they lead you to connect your wallet or ask for your private keys, there are no free lunches in the Crypto industry now, you have to believe it or regret later.
803  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paypal are scammers like the FTX bitcoin exchange on: January 25, 2023, 11:49:36 AM

i provided them with card now i found it.

the say cant verify sendemail. they excuse in order not to pay yo udont know them.

this scam company and they block millions of pp accs every day for 6 months with shitty excuses.

You don't have data to say that, unfortunately, Paypal cannot address your issue here as they do not have an announcement, you should not even post your issue here because they are not a full Cryptocurrency platform, better post your concern and issue here
https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/PayPal-Community/ct-p/en you'll get the right response here coming from users of Paypal and you can also ask their support

Quote
and all the blocked account with money (hundrends, thousands, ten of thousands etc)  are used for real esate investment.

what you think that they just keep the money on the account? never.

They create many bugs in order to keep your money on paypal even on the verfication proccess.

These are all allegations to prove it we need the fact by uploading your screenshots and pieces of evidence, you just want to get back to Paypal from limiting your account, in the first place you should have read their terms of service and other feedbacks before using Paypal because they are so strict and they ask a lot of verification before you can use their service.
When using Paypal be aware of how they work and how hey limit their users' accounts.
804  Economy / Reputation / Re: Remove negative feedback on: January 24, 2023, 09:12:41 PM
calling other members an idiot, a moron along with other insults,
I've seen that many times when someone is out of arguments for their lies.

And I have seen a lot of people like you, who better shut the fuck up instead of opening their mouth. If you cant give a constructive answer then get out idiot.
I can't help it that you are.

These things should not escalate to this in the first place you open an unmoderated thread and you are asking for help so anyone can drop here and engage in the conversation, all you have to do is just sign the wallet that was used to receive the funds and that's all there is to do, and it will end there, you just have to prove that you own the wallet, no one here will support your cause if you do not do what should be done, the instruction was already given.
If it's true that you are just a player and not part of the 1XBIT team then you don't deserve the tag and you have a reason to fight it.
805  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coingecko portfolio tracker? on: January 24, 2023, 01:29:29 PM
Started using the portfolio tracker last week on Coingecko and most of it I like however there is something I don't quite get and it seems to only involve those in my portfolio that I have both bought and sold at times.

I have realized that when logging a 'sell' transaction it doesn't take the amount into consideration.

For example if my spend was £500 for a crypto and I then log a 'sell' transaction of £50 , my overall spend should then reduce to £450 but it stays at £500.

Am I doing something wrong or is just the way it is on Coingecko?

I'm using the Coingecko portfolio tracker but I can't get what you mean, you mean auto deduct, all I know is Coingecko tracker is manually edited if you sell  £50 you have to manually deduct the  £50 from your £500, and sometimes you will have to wait an hour at least for the changes to occur, because of the server lag but its not always this way.
If you're holding a lot of coins the Coingecko tracker is a big help because you can track how much you lose and how much you gain and you can use your own currency to see your gains and losses.
806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't get scammed because of wallet upgrade on: January 24, 2023, 08:28:25 AM

I am pretty sure that the metamask team has no mail ID and also the wallet never ask for email address when creating a new wallet account, so the question is how did they get your email address? This is a RED FLAG.
No, they are not asking for email its impossible for the metamask team to get your email or any decentralized wallet, this is a red flag that anyone who falls for it does not even think or even stop and ask where did they get my email and if you know security the basic is always been never click any link coming from an unknown source and if there is a wallet upgrade it should be after you open the wallet not coming from a link, a decentralized platform never send a link to upgrade, basics that newbies are overlooking

807  Other / Meta / Re: Request: "Cybersecurity and Privacy" board + Poll on: January 23, 2023, 11:23:10 PM
22 votes for to 1 vote against. I think it's a matter of when than if at this point.

Send a PM to theymos with a link to this thread, so that he can create it sooner.

Maybe when we hit 100 votes and he still has not appeared and/or made a comment by then, also once I have improved the OP some more, then I will do this!

So far the result :
"Cybersecurity and Privacy" board in "Other" cattegory
Yes   - 24 (96%)
No   - 1 (4%)
Total Voters: 25

I'm sure if many people will stumble or lead to this thread they will vote yes to have that category, we need this category with so much hacking and so many breaches going on, there are many articles and videos about Cybersecurity and Privacy but we want an in-depth discussion to get the best possible solution and results, I don't want only one guy teaching about security without being questioned on what he is discussing.
808  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hello, I would like to ask what system is used here? on: January 23, 2023, 10:53:29 PM
Hello, I would like to ask what system is used here https://listnova.biz/ https://bliyzer.com/  https://deliam.cc/ - and maybe you have the script?

Or maybe you have and know something similar?

There is Google for this I tried it and it gave me these results

But I don't encourage you to create one, script like these only prove that cloud mining is a Ponzi scheme because there are actually no mining rigs to speak of, everything depends on money coming in, to payout those who invested earlier.
809  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: jl33213 SCAMMER on: January 23, 2023, 09:20:27 PM
Quoting the picture here

I don't know how Payzelle works but this is an idiot way to scam of course you will need to verify first if the funds really arrive so you can confirm and check not because I received an edited screenshot of the payment  I will just send my fund right away and I agree no online financial platform will send you a notification through a Gmail, it's warning sign and I commend you for checking out details, jl33213 deserved a tag, we never know if some careless guy will fall to this trick.
810  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OKX's financial fraud multi-level organization warning!😡😡😡😡 on: January 22, 2023, 09:00:33 PM

OKX is a venue that takes listing fees and takes months to return.
They said there was a 100% return guarantee, but in reality their listing team split the money. It works like multi-level stake sharing.
So it will take months for them to return all their money, or financial fraud will result in them refusing to refund it.
Those preparing for the project should beware of these financial scams by OKX.

First, you have to lead us to their link and included a quote or a screenshot about their listing fee return terms, although OKX has a page for it you need to log in first before you can access that information and some of us here do not have an account on that exchange if they said that they have a listing fee return but no exact date to return it, then the decision is on the token developer if he wants to list their token, and the token developer is comfortable on that terms, you don't agree then later disagree and open a scam accusation.
You need to provide us with something, not just words if you have an allegation against OKX, are you a victim here or just sending a warning to developers who want to list their token.
811  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A curious funny thought of the day on: January 22, 2023, 02:10:10 PM
Assuming in the future time many countries have fully embraced crypto adoption and in fact, many countries are using the country fund to invest in Bitcoin just like what El Salvador is doing right now and something bad starts happening to the wallet they store their fund?

Imagine a hacker stealing Bitcoin that belongs to a country, how do you think the situation will be handled?

Do not take this too seriously as it's just a fun thought, since this has nothing to do with Banks I am just thinking about how they will handle the situation, launch a red alert or something. Go after the hacker big time with all they have? Or use the Centralised power on the exchange?

I think by that time there are safety parameters for every country and there will be an international organization to protect  Bitcoin of every holder from hacking and the exchanges and the whole stakeholders will unite to fight this scenario, countries will have multi signatures so they can protect their national treasury from being stolen.

Hackers can steal from people and exchanges but it's going to be different if they are stealing from a country much more than a powerful country like China, they cannot get away with it, so I think hackers will not dare touch the country's stored Bitcoin.
812  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: crypto-hope.com on: January 21, 2023, 11:15:10 PM
I would like to thank all of you for the information. I didn't have any knowledge of crypto until someone suggested paying me via crypto-hope for a domain name I sell. He transferred the money internally but when I tried to withdraw the money to my trust wallet they asked me for 0,11btc in order to verify my wallet and complete the withdrawal.
This is how I got to know them. (Fortunately, I didn't give him the domain)
Thank you very much!

There's no such thing as deposit to verify an address you can do that by signing or verifying your address using Electrum or other wallets, but they did not recommend this because they want to scam you, it's not only on this exchange but it happens on may platforms they ask to deposit ownership, this is always a warning sign if they ask you to deposit, its good that you ask it here you find out the truth and many people learn how this crypto-hope.com operates, you can create a scam accusation on this platform and named it a potential scam because you have a first-hand experience on this platform.

Quote
To prove ownership of Bitcoin address you don’t actually have to spend coins from it. There is a feature called sign message that allows you to prove that you possess BTC without actually spending it and by never exposing your private keys.

Most wallets such as Bitcoin core, electrum, MyEtherWallet and even hardware wallets such as Ledger & Trezor provide signing functionality

813  Other / Meta / Re: Binance pays Google Ads with the word "bitcointalk" on: January 20, 2023, 11:47:10 PM
Binance is paying for advertising from Google, with the word "bitcointalk".

Usually when you search Google for "bitcointalk" the forum link is the first result. But, today I noticed that it is different, at least in Portugal, the first result is from Binance.

It appears that Binance considers this forum valuable as they are spending money advertising using this word in search.

If I am part of the marketing of Binance and working on Google ads I will do a lot of variation based on the density of the keyword research, it's not that they value Bitcointalk its just one of the keywords that come out in search queries based on the keyword, Bitcointalk is just a part but an important part of their campaign, and they varied from country to country and on user's experience, there may be a lot more because they have a huge budget being the top player and mover in the industry
814  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are you finding a virtual assistant as a Campaign Manager? on: January 20, 2023, 11:11:31 PM

If anyone helps me to grow my career to work freelance to get jobs providing my skill then it will be my achievement. I will be your virtual assistant.

Do you have experience working as a virtual assistant you are on your own here when looking for a job as a freelancer, all of us here are working as freelance so the competition is stiff, if you think that you are capable and well experienced and can give a manager a big help on all the campaign he manages then create an announcement in the service section, tell the managers your skills, capability and your rate, managers are looking for help, not someone who will they teach to become an assistant.
815  Economy / Reputation / Re: campaign manager post counts behaviors; is this accepted? on: January 20, 2023, 10:26:17 PM
Hello all,
I want to know from people's opinion about their reaction towards a signature post.
Like for instance, you join a campaign and you are required to post about 20 or 25, but due to some reasons you decided to add additional  post to about 28 or even 29 post out of 25 required post. At last during weekly update you notice about your 5 to 10 post were disqualified.
What would be your reactions?
Do you think other managers who doesn't disqualify post aren't knowledgeable enough or they are just being friendly or knowing that not all that are fluent with english.
I have joined lot of well known managers campaign but they hardly rejects post.

I am curious to know why only 1 or 2 managers do rejected post and remove participants without any note or comments on their spreadsheet.
What do we called this
Being rude or not being friendly?

Note very clearly that I don't mention anyone but if you think this post  is directly pointing at you then you have to be compassionate with your participants as we all are humans despite you are a manager doesn't mean you should toy with peoples time and efforts.

Lets discuss.

I have worked with some of the managers here and I never encounter any issues if I have issues with my post count I send a pm to my manager or a place where he wants me to contact him, you have to address it if you think the post count is not fair, maybe you are posting in sections that are not counted or you are participating in a mega thread or your post is redundant, by asking him for feedback about your post count, you can improve your posting habit.
Managers are not only counting posts they are also checking if your post has substance and is within topic.
816  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit scam with pictures proofment! on: January 20, 2023, 09:51:50 PM

One more thing I am very curious to know is how you get the information on this forum after being scammed and why you can't get this forum before being scammed.

Maybe because if you search just the name of the casino you end up with a ton of fake positive reviews in google (at least on this IP I'm using now), but once you're getting tricked and you ask yourself "is 1xbit a scam" bitcointalk is the third result.  Wink

The search engine will give you results based on your parameters, the searcher should give specific keywords to come out with research with tags on it, on 1xbit search for the keyword 1xbit reviews it still comes out with the results with Bitcointalk reviews on it, if only the potential player will just use these keywords, he will find out the trust about 1xbit, but these newbies who got scammed obviously did not do searches they just sign up and play, maybe they stumble it from banners or from promotions not from the search engine.
817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be patience when you trying to make transactions on your wallet on: January 20, 2023, 04:27:59 PM
Awareness of the existence of malware and basic security on your machine is very important, you never know if malware already infected your machines, invest in an anti-virus if you're using Windows OS and be mindful of what you're clicking, I have three anti-viruses in my machine and also using Brave a better browser if you want security while surfing and do not feel confident that you know everything, scammers are improving and always devising a new way to scam or hack people's wallet because they know many people are careless and uneducated on how to protect their coins.
818  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Plagiarized Whitepaper - Portfol-io on: January 20, 2023, 01:40:24 PM

In their portfolio there are only the biggest assets (Bitcoin, Ethereum, and so on). Everything can be seen transparently in the network.
They've just launched and are already starting with an insane investment pot of $150,000.

Their representative claim they invested $150k but cannot even hire a designer that can design a professional-looking website, their announcement is poorly created, besides plagiarism, the other one that gave them as soon to be scam project is the absence of the name and pictures of their developers or the people behind this, this kind of project is so old, anyone who falls into this definitely is a newbie in the world of investing.
These people can't and don't want to stop, they are even using an old method to scam people.
819  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: January 20, 2023, 12:29:03 PM
[banned mixer] is a mixer that slowly carve its name in the mixing industry if you compared it to other mixing platforms its newbie friendly, newbies who have no prior experience in mixing will find the tutorial and how it works easy to understand, and they will give the top mixing in the industry a run for their money, they just have to build up their reputation and integrity and continue marketing their platform, I'm sure in a few months of branding [banned mixer] will be associated to the word easy to understand mixing platform.
820  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has an exchange ever blocked your Bitcoins from Signature earnings? on: January 19, 2023, 10:50:38 PM
I am just trying to know from forum members if there is anyone who has ever had their bitcoin payments from signature advertising get blocked by an exchange, citing "suspicious transaction"?

What was/would be your course of action if they asked for source of funds or proof of source of funds, especially if you were dealing with payments from a bitcoin casino or bitcoin mixing platform (since most CEXs seems to be no so friendly with bitcoins from such platforms) ?

I'm aware of this because our local exchange clearly stated that they will block transactions directly coming from gambling platforms, so I have to send it to my non-custodial wallet before sending it to our local exchange, so far I have not encountered issues, its better to check the terms or ask support if they will block transactions coming from gambling platform, they will even confiscate the funds if you violate their rules, so awareness is the key for smooth transaction of funds coming from gambling platform.
