241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Exchange Tokens Are You Watching in the 2024 Bull Run? on: February 15, 2024, 10:38:50 PM
(...)
Which exchange tokens are you most excited about for the 2024 bull run?
I don't think we will experience an "Exchange token narrative" this time but if yes, I am looking forward to KCS.
We all know Kucoin started, Kucoin has already been here for a long time and we have seen how they improved, it's just like it are underdog but with quality.

After most exchanges issue, people will start to find trusted one and for me Kucoin is one of them.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which psychological stage of the crypto market are we in? on: February 15, 2024, 10:36:33 PM
(......)
  • Accumulation: Prices slowly rise with low investor participation.
  • Markup: Rallying prices attract more investors, accelerating the upward trend.
(......)
For me, we are in the middle of these.
What I am only positive about is we are already done in the accumulation period, we are now going in markup where we will start to attract more investors, retails, and institutional investors because once we experience this, for sure we will experience more high rally upward.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price of Bitcoin and Ethereum on: February 15, 2024, 10:33:35 PM
(....)
So does the price of Ethereum really go up when the price of Bitcoin goes up? And does Bitcoin's bull market actually coincide with Ethereum's bull market? What is your opinion on this matter? And correct me if I'm wrong.
Not always, somethings that are happening are the opposite, sometimes yes.
For now, the market is already different, if Bitcoin pumps, altcoins pump, if Bitcoin dumps, altcoins dump, if Bitcoin stays sideways, altcoins pump.

But now it's totally different, like sometimes Bitcoin pump first then after a few days, altcoins especially Ethereum pumps. Or sometimes even Bitcoin already pumping altcoins or Ethereum still in sideways.
244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the lost BTC? on: February 15, 2024, 10:31:30 PM
“Lost coins only make everyone else’s coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone”
~ Satoshi Nakamoto

/thread
+1  Smiley
This is the first thing I remember when I saw this thread.
It just happened you quoted it first Cheesy

This statement from Satoshi Nakamoto before is a simple yet straightforward explanation for the one what OP stated. If you really think and analyze it is indeed correct and applies.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be very careful and attentive when selling your bitcoins on: February 15, 2024, 10:29:18 PM
So be warned, if you are going to sell, fill out your order correctly at the price you want to sell, never use the "market" price to sell a large amount of bitcoins.
I'm curious how he got that amount of Bitcoin at first, it's a huge amount of Bitcoin in terms of value.
For me, if you have that amount of Bitcoin for sure you already know how the market works, especially exchanges.

I am not sure if the exchange is accountable for this.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC to Bitcoin ETFs - The ownership are shifting to centralized ownership on: February 15, 2024, 10:26:44 PM
This is what I am looking forward to after the speculation of ETF approval on Bitcoin. Before ETF got approved on Bitcoin I am already speculating that we will see a huge move upward as I compare it with Gold ETF before after it got approved.

Overall, I believe that one of the biggest changes to the cryptocurrency market in coming years is the move towards centralized ownership of Bitcoin through ETFs.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here's why BCH/BSV lovers constantly attack BTC... on: February 15, 2024, 10:23:00 PM
It's not about BCH and BSV lovers attacking Bitcoin; Bitcoin haters always attack Bitcoin, but who cares? After delisting on Binance, I never checked the BSV price. So I don't feel BSV has so many fans right now. BCH is also not popular, so there is nothing to worry about with their attack. Their community is too small compared to Bitcoin, so they can't fight with Bitcoin lovers anyway. They can just spread FUD and nothing else. But lately, the Bitcoin community hasn't responded to FUDs created by haters. Because everyone is now aware of Bitcoin's potential.
It's just ironic because the one they are using to hate Bitcoin is forked from Bitcoin Cheesy
It's just showing that Bitcoin itself is the real and the one that has no problem at all.

For me, there's no reason to compare BCH/BSV at all, BCH/BSV is starting to vanish.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The best new cryptocurrencies to buy in 2024? on: February 15, 2024, 06:17:48 AM
Altcoins from the list of OP are mostly meme coins.

We all know how risky meme coins are, we already saw high volatility here which means buying random meme coins is gambling for me.
And all from the list are my first time to see and already a red flag for me.
249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which sort of investor are you? on: February 15, 2024, 04:13:47 AM
-snip-
(....)
To become a successful trader is not easy - sometimes they even have to lose money after starting. Wrong strategies and greed allow traders to lose money instead of making a profit - so traders need to avoid and learn what they must have to be a successful trader. Trading without risk is impossible - so set your risks and learn how to minimize them.
I agree with BlackStar that trading is not easy. That's why as you can see most newbies who just starting to trade are starting to stop after how many days/weeks or months.
Only a few traders who started then ended up still trading. This is the biggest challenge if you are starting to trade.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make everybody to win in their crypto trading? on: February 13, 2024, 11:38:14 PM
(...)
Even crypto trading experts cannot make everybody to win or earn big profits from their crypto trading at the same time because, for some traders to wait till the real bull to show up in the market, it will make them to feel they are about to miss the opportunity and it can lead them to loose no matter what you do to help such trader.
Obvious answer. Of course, it's impossible.  There's no easy in this world because if the answer here is yes, for sure a lot of people will take advantage and make enough money off of this.
So for me, trading is not easy to we all must learn and have proper knowledge before we start trading because it is risky.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zeta Chain - What is Your Opinion ? on: February 13, 2024, 11:35:25 PM
For me, this is a red flag.
If you are just an airdrop hunter, for sure you already made a profit here.

We already have a lot of projects that are already working fine and already kicking, so finding another project for me is pass for me. Existing projects we already have now is already enough for me.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano vs Ethereum on: February 13, 2024, 11:33:48 PM
Do you think Cardano will replace Ethereum?

Personally, I think that both blockchains will develop in different directions in the future.
Both blockchains would therefore be relevant and coexist.
(....)
Let's be real here. Cardano can't replace or beat Ethereum.

Cardano's scientific methodology and design principles offer an intriguing alternative that may appeal to those prioritizing theoretical stability and long-term stability solutions.
While Ethereum remains a popular choice among developers and users due to its widespread adoption and continuous improvements.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming altcoins on: February 13, 2024, 11:28:18 PM
Are there any new or upcoming altcoins that have caught your attention recently?
For me, I can't say it is new, they just rebranded but they as project already been here before. It's Beam, the old Merit Circle.
What I am amazed about is them being focused on the NFT Games or Gaming industry.
As a gamer, I love projects like this which are innovated and continue to explore things especially in gaming such as eSports gaming/nft games, etc.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your view and your opinion about Ethereum? on: February 13, 2024, 11:22:30 PM
(....)
What is your view and your opinion about Ethereum? You can share if you want.
For me, in terms of price, Ethereum for sure will follow Bitcoin as altcoin is the top market cap on the altcoins market.
What Ethereum only biggest problem is scalability.

The most my favorite part about Ethereum is it has played a crucial role in popularizing smart contracts and promoting the expansion of the DeFi and NFT market.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do cryptocurrency increase the standard of living on: February 13, 2024, 11:20:04 PM
Knowing fully well that there is so many uneducated people around the world, how can cryptocurrency increase the standard of living
I doubt that it can. We cant expect some magic internet money to make all our lives richer, right? But, maybe it can help in some way.  People without banks, just using crypto to save up or send some money, for example.
With cryptocurrency's ability to provide financial services to the underbanked and unbanked, cryptocurrency has the potential to raise living standards in several ways and promote greater economic inclusion.
Overall, overcoming several obstacles is necessary to fully realize the advantages of using Bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETF Tracker on: February 13, 2024, 11:15:45 PM
Very interesting to see that most of this companies are using Coinbase exchange as their custodian, except VanEck using Gemini exchange and only Fidelity is using self-custody.
This tells you we still have long road ahead of us until people realize importance of self-custody and holding your own keys.
Shut down, compromise or hack Coinbase and most of this ETF's are gone.
If Coinbase gets hacked, that's probably the only time that they'll be doing something about self-custody, it's actually a smart thing for most of them to use Coinbase though, wouldn't that mean that they're going to be selling their bitcoins much faster than Fidelity since they're the ones that are using self-custody? Or there's something in the works that's making all of this still work the same for all of them to their favor, you know like cash first and then get the bitcoins later because there's delay something like that. I believe that it's not a long road anymore though, as adoption gets more widespread, I think that it gets more people to be aware that we should consider storing bitcoins for ourselves and the information availability and delivery is much faster than ever so I believe that it's slowly going up from here when it comes to self-custody of your crypto.
For me, this is the biggest challenge right now. How do these companies protect their Bitcoins, or me, there's nothing wrong about using another third-party company for their Bitcoin because it's not their field to protect Bitcoins so for me, it's better than doing self custody, these ETF companies must only focus on what they are doing.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 13, 2024, 11:13:15 PM
I don't see any big issue right here now, we can compare this to "Women in tech".
So for me, increasing the number of powerful women in the crypto industry can be a great way to bring about change, but it's also critical to address the systemic problems that lie at the root of gender imbalances, like discrimination in hiring procedures, workplace culture and resource and education accesibility.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX to refund customers at Bitcoin's prices below $18,000 on: February 12, 2024, 02:55:21 AM
I still don't think people are going to see that money anytime soon. I imagine that if they pay, it will be something for a few years to come, like MT GOX. Don't get your hopes up about receiving money from FTX, they will always find a way not to pay, going to court or making excuses.
I think you are right, but it is possible that they are delaying like they have the funds but they use them to make a profit when they get it they give it away.
or they may not pay at all.
I think people in crypto already understand this risk.
Yep, even me, I got some funds inside of FTX Exchange but after the incident, I started to move on, move forward, because I know I can still earn that money, and to be honest, I am still hoping for some refunds, I just don't want to get stressed.
Even Bitcoin price below $18,000 is already good, as long the refund will be processed.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do coins with no use case value so high in the Market? on: February 12, 2024, 02:51:45 AM
Include also other cryptocurrencies already long dead and suddenly some of them are just pumping even no more activities from the project at all, which means it's still manipulation, some whales maybe wants to make more money or some wants to exit their position, all I can see is only manipulation.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding the basics in Bitcoin before investing on: February 12, 2024, 02:50:15 AM
*Understanding Bitcoin before investing*
Before one start crypto investment I think you should consider whether crypto fits your portfolio goals, risk profile, and personal convictions before buying. Crypto is highly volatile, and does not have the same regulatory protections as registered securities.
(...)
For me, this is already good for investment-related.
But for Bitcoin itself, we need first to know what really Bitcoin is, even the basics, and how it works are already enough.
Next is basic internet safety like identifying scam projects or platforms. Because most of the things we will do once we are in investing in Bitcoin is all internet related, most are online.
