261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Relationship Between Cryptocurrency and Traditional Banking on: February 01, 2024, 06:51:32 AM
So, let’s talk about this interesting duo: cryptocurrency and traditional banking. Some say traditional banks are threatened by crypto’s rise, while others think they’re starting to see the potential and hopping on the bandwagon. Either way, it’s a fascinating dynamic to watch unfold. What do you think? Are they destined for a happily ever after or is this just a temporary fling?
For me, I don't see any "threatened". Both will stay, traditional banking and cryptocurrency.
Because not all people will be comfortable using cryptocurrency only or traditional banking only, some can use both.

So for me, what I can see is there will be always options, just like you are shopping then you can select the mode of payment you will use.
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF Future on: February 01, 2024, 06:40:32 AM
Thanks for all your answers, I wish I had enough merits to give you all.

Now, there's already some light.
I can consider that these institutions are our centralized exchanges then all listed cryptocurrencies to their exchanges are equivalent to ETFs.
Where we saw some exchanges "delisting" pairs from their exchanges, then I can relate this to these institutions where they also delist/halt/terminate ETF as their "business product".

263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan Chase are participating in 5 categories of cryptocurrency. Jamie lies! on: February 01, 2024, 06:35:50 AM
Hahaha yeah, I remember the recent news or interview about Jamie Dimon where he talks negatively about Bitcoin again.
And then you see this which they are a huge institution that really adopting Bitcoin.

That's why I said recently from his interview that he is spreading again FUD so they can buy more cheap Bitcoins.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Claim $WEN airdrop if you are active on Solana on: February 01, 2024, 06:31:00 AM
OMG. This is what I am looking for, I wasn't able to claim my airdrop on $WEN.

Since all qualified for airdrop will get 643,652 $WEN, now the total value of it is around $40, already lost 50% from its price when the first time it was claimable.
Well, my bad I didn't dig more deeper.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC likely to approve spot Ethereum ETFs on May 23 on: February 01, 2024, 03:30:15 AM
Wow, this is so fast just in case it will be approved in this year.
For me, I am expecting an Ethereum ETF but not this fast, I am expecting that it will be approved in years because Bitcoin is just a new ETF.
I am also hoping that the market will be fine and no high volatile like pump or dump so SEC will not be alarmed.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin ETF Future on: February 01, 2024, 03:27:18 AM
I am curious since most Bitcoin ETFs are already approved and I am new to these ETFs things.

Is there any possibility that in the future these Bitcoin ETFs will be terminated or halted?
If yes, what could be the reasons or possibilities it will?

267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Less than 80 days until the 4th Ever #Bitcoin Halving on: February 01, 2024, 03:23:25 AM
well, we will never know what's gonna happen for this upcoming halving. thus, you should prepare for the possibility of what's to come.and collect what you think you can afford in this type of digital investment.
Prepare now or miss this precious moment. I still firmly believe that bullishness will occur for BTC prices after the halving, so panicking for now because the price does not match expectations, is an unwise choice.
(....)
True, other people will miss and regret once we are already in the time that most people are waiting for.
Better prepared than nothing, that's why since last year I already expecting this move of Bitcoin before the Bitcoin block halving.

I have settled  my Bitcoin but looking for Altcoins to add in my folio, I have small amount
waiting for the best altcoins to be part of my Holding , is there any reccommendation ?
Please discuss altcoins on a separate board, this is only a Bitcoin discussion.

268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time for Jupiter (JUP)!!!! on: February 01, 2024, 12:33:15 AM
Wow Jupiter coin was listed on the market few hours ago. We can see this coin is listed on Binance exchange and has increased by 2100%-4000%. Jupiter Coin listed at $0.0300 and rose to a high of $0.8720. But those who joined and invested in the airdrop campaign might have been able to make a lot of money from it. It could pump more if the market starts a bull fight.
https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/01/31/kD7ev.jpeg
Lucky for those who sold at $0.8 hahaha.
I'm not sure if it is just a bug from the chart of Binance but I think someone really bought and sold in that price or near that price.

The price of Jupiter right now is already $0.65.  I believe this will dump more as it is started to create its price support and resistance.
269  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As a trader never settle for less on: February 01, 2024, 12:30:07 AM
(....)
I have noticed that the rich always want more for there him self even though he has more him still want more to himself, so I will advise us as a bitcoin holder or trader don’t think because you are in your comfort zone makes you feel better that a fat lie I have realized that Comfort zone only makes us feel weaker and lazier
It is just simple. Because they know the struggle and hassle. Especially if you came from nothing and with all your hard work paid off after you strive.

In our current situation right now where you can earn money anywhere especially with only using your internet and connection, you can now trade but before that, you need to surpass a lot of bumpy roads.
Trading is tough and most successful traders have different stories of why they are on top now.
270  Economy / Services / Someone from South Korea with KakaoPay on: February 01, 2024, 12:10:07 AM
[Please inform/remove this if this is not allowed]

I need someone from South Korea willing to pay KRW via scanning a QR code to KakaoPay. I will be paying with Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency you want.
Basically, this is from a game that is exclusive to South Korea and I need to buy some game perks and unfortunately, it is only needed KRW.

Here's the list of their standard payments:

What we only tried is Kakao Pay, someone from Korea with KakaoPay will only scan the QR, then that's all.

I already tried this from someone who is doing this kind of service but he charged high transaction fees.
My goal here is to find a person that willing to do this with low transaction fees.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: January 31, 2024, 11:35:07 PM
another question here, you are earning 5 figures but only spending 110 dollars from that salary when you told us  above that you are working so hard to invest in bitcoin?

$110 is a decent amount of money. For someone earning five figures in naira, I would say OP outdid himself. As a rule of thumb, you should invest what you can afford to lose. If $110 is what OP can afford to risk, that’s his  prerogative.

Other than scrutinizing the OP, do you have any advice for the OP. I have been seeing a lot of threads from newbies about how older members are harsh towards them. Reading your comment on this thread, I understand why they feel that way.
Exactly. If $110 is already huge for OP, we must respect it or maybe OP is just trying small first and then slowly adding more, it depends but as per OP, it is already decent money.

We all know how risky cryptocurrency is and volatile it is.
For now,  let's appreciate what OP did regardless of the amount.
272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 29, 2024, 11:47:02 PM
(...)

What are your additions to understanding the learning time for someone who is learning to trade? I think sharing here will benefit those who may be close to giving up in this field.
The simplest answer is having patience, you already mentioned the problem in your post OP .
If most people are able to handle it, then I can say they will be able to help themselves to become better traders. That's why most of the new people in trading are experiencing this because they didn't experience it, some are first-timers.
273  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins.ph is expanding on: January 29, 2024, 11:45:07 PM
That's amazing! With coins.ph expanding, for sure more Filipinos and other nationalities will be exposed to cryptocurrency.
Another thing I observed in coins.ph is they are really working hard to be able support other cryptocurrency deposits, it's like they already competing in popular centralized exchanges.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do People Steal Hundreds of Millions in BTC And Still Get Caught? on: January 29, 2024, 11:42:36 PM
I believe that our new technologies right now are also helpful to these thieves to get caught, we are totally different now compared to before.
Some fugitives are also dumb because some of them made their own mistake to get caught, and some are dumb mistakes.
Doing criminal things in cryptocurrency is also difficult because we are decentralized and their footprints can track some in the chain.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: January 29, 2024, 11:37:36 PM
What memecoin I can only say important is Dogecoin. Other altcoins are already copy-cats of Dogecoin which is only here just to make money for people, they will create hype at the beginning to lure people then dump on them later on. I can only see gambling to these memecoins.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler? on: January 29, 2024, 01:37:59 AM
(....)
What do you think about yourself and how do you want to define the word Gambler?
The most common answer could be: If you risk taker, you are a gambler.
For me, that is the simplest answer. Another answer could be if you gamble frequently, then you are a gambler, if you do gambling as a source of income, you are a gambler. If you gamble full-time and source of income to feed your family, you are definitely a gambler.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump sells $2.4 million worth of ETH on: January 29, 2024, 01:36:00 AM
Well, that is indeed a personal opinion of Donald Trump, not the government of the United States Of America. Therefore, we must not panic at all or be worried.
As stated in OP, it just royalty which will valid as they uses the name of Donald Trump, if that is their decision to sell the royalty proceeds, so be it.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon-JP Morgan CEO "Satoshi will come back and erase bitcoin" on: January 29, 2024, 01:31:49 AM
Omg, this is the sign again. I remember when Jamie Dimon talked negatively about Bitcoin and that was when the rally upward of Bitcoin started, it's kinda typically doing FUD to people so they can buy more cheap Bitcoins. Well, a typical whale move.
279  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 29, 2024, 01:28:19 AM
(....)
Having a steady and regular income is very important as a gambler because it would enable you to scrap out money you should use for gambling, feeding, taking care of yourself and family and other miscellaneous.
That's why I do not believe in some people who do gambling for a living, like fulltime gamblers and that's their only source to feed their family, well, that's my personal opinion because I know some, and some of them are my friends and they only rely to gambling profits, no other source of income, I can say they are really struggiling.
280  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Your Thoughts on the Recent Crypto Price Drop on: January 28, 2024, 02:41:13 AM
During the last week the crypto world has been quite a ride with the price slump we've experienced. With Bitcoin and altcoins taking a notable dip on the 23rd, I'm curious to hear how everyone is coping and how it affected your investments and what your strategies are moving forward considering the upcoming halving.
(....)
I'm neutral, I know, and positive that the recent dump was just a correction, we must appreciate the pump recently and then we should be ready for a pullback, it is just not every day Christmas.
I just don't panic at all because I already experienced these multiple times.
