1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: zkSync Era Airdrop Guide on: April 29, 2023, 09:24:40 AM
Use these protocols to swap and do some LP'ing to get your total volume and usage in the network up.  When I was playing around Arbitrum, I had my total volume to a tad more than 10k USD in a couple of months or so without realizing it.  I didn't even think Arbitrum would really have an airdrop.  I felt I just got lucky.  So if you wanna get lucky with zkSync and be eligible for their airdrop, you have to use the project and the protocols developed in it.
(....)
Do you think the criteria that were worked on Arbitrum Token will also work on other chains too like zkSync? Because it seems become overrated now and/or maybe a lot of people will abuse it, which somehow on Arbitrum there were a lot of wallets that got airdropped was suspected abusing after the airdrop already even though they have this "Sybil detection" (to identify abusers).

1222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why gambling and mixing called bad actors in bitcoin on: April 29, 2023, 09:18:32 AM
(....)
Secondly, if Gambling and Bitcoin mixing services are called bad actors, what about centralized exchanges are they also perceived as bad actors in Bitcoin?
Basically, they are linked to practices that may be against the law(not all), unethical, or detrimental to the larger community. If you can lookup on the internet about incidents related to these "bad actors", you will see tons of them and that's why a lot of people are against it.
They are undesirable due to their links to illicit activity and potential legal and reputational risks.
1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: History revisited: the first Bitcoin conference 2011 on: April 29, 2023, 09:08:01 AM
Or maybe not? Maybe there is someone from those attendees who kept his bitcoin not on the exchange. Or probably forget about his wallet and eventually get rich in the next coming years.
I'm going to bet that most of them didn't(with at least majority of their holdings, probably a minority on exchanges). Let's not forget that these people are cypherpunks — pretty much one of the most hardcore technically-literate people in the crypto space.
Exactly. These guys are OGs and too many technical persons to be able to identify the risks of exchanges before. For sure they just did it just to help the Bitcoin community back then because the community before is still really small and this method will help to grow the Bitcoin community before.
It's just sad because it was sponsored by an exchange who was REKT which this conference will exist in history. This will be lesson for all.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone planning to take part in the Open Campus (EDU) Binance Launchpad? on: April 29, 2023, 04:04:07 AM
Binance Launchpad right now seems good, because if we take an example just like what happened on the recent launchpad of Binance, the Space ID. A lot of participants or even those people who just bought after it started trading on their exchanges.
This is good to watch closely. This is still good buy just ever some of us will not able to join to their Binance Launchpad.
1225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance sees a large uptick in the amount of BTC held on their exchange on: April 29, 2023, 03:58:19 AM
(....)
I think a lot of folks are still dismayed with all of the current scams casting a shadow on their confidence of crypto. I think things will turn around with time. They are calling for more regulations, which could be both good and bad for us. What are your thoughts on this?
Of course, with all these regulations or any incidents related to FTX Exchange, are important right now in the cryptocurrency market. We must look closer on it because it will help the Bitcoin adoption, because I believe that in short term, the effect of these may be a huge but in the long run, you will not feel it. A lot of FUD spreading right now especially on exchanges.
Challeng on exchanges right now are how they will gain trust of a lot of people after incidents of lot of centralized exchanges recently.
1226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What went wrong with bitcoin! Reply on: April 29, 2023, 03:53:56 AM
(....)
The argument ends but I want to draw this lesson to everyone;
1. When introducing crypto to anyone let them know you're not responsible for anything contrary.
2. Tell them you don't control the price, the system does.
3. You're not liable to any losses
(....)
This is why when someone asking on me about Bitcoin, I just give them a brief explanation of how Bitcoin works because a lot of people always misunderstood what meaning of Bitcoin or how it works.
This is a normal encounter when you do it with new people. Because most of these people see on internet especially social media are good sides, like easy money, profits on investing/trading, etc.
1227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner mistakes and how to avoid them on: April 27, 2023, 02:30:17 AM
(....)
* Failure to use stop-loss-- to me it's the most important thing I do while trading, an it's always close to my entry price, I do it that way so that if the trade didn't go as planned, I won't lose more than 10% of my margin.
I don't if anyone have more to add, so I can also learn?
I can relate to this during my early days in trading. I already realized it very late before. The feeling is really different when you start trading especially you're new to it.
So, it must be always for beginners to have knowledge first or learn every basic first before opening their first trade because there is already money involved here.
1228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why trading Crypto (instead of Forex) on: April 27, 2023, 01:37:23 AM
Sometimes, data isn't necessarily an advantage if everyone has access to the same data. Advantages arise when you have certain good metrics/data base your decisions upon that not everyone follows.
I think if we have a scenario like this, then it will be now based on how these data are being used or analyzed by different people.
For me, using data properly based on your goals or use case then your trading decisions can be improved by having a better understanding of the underlying demand for a particular cryptocurrency.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: April 27, 2023, 01:32:57 AM
(....)
How can we identify it well? Perhaps we should have more discussion about it so we all can learn from everyone's experience.
Before making an investment in any cryptocurrency project, do your homework and research carefully. Always verify.
Any cryptocurrency forums or social media will help you, like there is some community where you can ask about a particular project, just like on this forum.
Be wary of unsolicited messages, and claims of high returns. These safety measures will help you stay safe from cryptocurrency scams.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sui TokenSale on Bybit, OKX and Kucoin? on: April 27, 2023, 01:29:08 AM
Im not seeing a signal for binance to listing sui. This gonna be anothere interesting thing whether the price will be so high after the launch of token in the market.
https://www.binance.com/en/price/sui
I see this on Binance perhaps as a sign that the Binance exchange is also likely to trade SUI tokens in the near future.
It's not related to the signal for binance to listing SUI. Im thinking about binance will be listing it later. OKX, Bybit and kucoin will become the first exchange sites that listed the coin. I think that the same scenario will be happening again. SUI may reach its peak price and then slowly going down like ARB. The hype on binance was also helping sui to get a huge pump during the trade but that's very sad to see that binance will come very late to list the coin. it's caused by binance has been launching its new token called open campus.
I don't it's a good comparison to compared Arbitrum token and the rSUI token here because the Arbitrum token didn't go to any token sale, unlike the Sui token.
There are a lot of people disappointed with the Sui token they assume there will be no token sale and there will be only an airdrop for early users of their network.
But when we talk about the price action after listing, yes, most of the new listings these days will do a massive pump on first few days only.
1231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I may sound really stupid right now, but it's what I noticed on: April 27, 2023, 01:24:21 AM
Why is it that bad news always comes in a bear market and when we are in a bull market, all bad news about Bitcoin vanished? Are they doing this on purpose? It's always the bear market, after halving everything will disappear and some bans will be lifted, and so on...
(....)
Take note also that in the cryptocurrency market, there are a lot of entities or news outlets or personalities that are spreading fake news or in short FUD to try to manipulate the market.
There are a lot of cases here, just like misleading news, fake news, FUD news, etc.
I think you already spot it like how the FUD exists there.
1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 01:20:00 AM
Investment in bitcoin can makes you developed reasoning on how to expand your income, most people who do holdings for a long period of time makes enough money at every running of bulls price and they begins to diversified their investment into different places.
(....)
But you must consider the risk of investing in Bitcoin. Because investing in Bitcoin is just like investing in any asset risk always exists. For me, we must not assume always that it will always "expand your income" because it's not always 100% guaranteed as no one knows what will be the future of Bitcoin.
1233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which YouTube channels and pages to follow for update on market news and TA? on: April 25, 2023, 01:27:19 AM
For me, since you mentioned Technical Analysis (TA).
I can suggest is to find a real trader,  a YouTuber that doesn't promote any shitty projects just for their own benefit.

For example, Crypto Cred and TechnicalRoundup, where are expert traders who also create videos about their analysis, they are doing live videos and live technical analysis on the current market.
On the Crypto Cred channel, you can see a bunch of tutorials on how to do technical analysis.
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What things do you study while choosing a wallet? on: April 25, 2023, 01:23:42 AM
There are a lot of cryptocurrency wallets to pay and receive payments. While you choose a wallet, what things do you consider first like technical support, transaction fees or blockchain technology and why and what is the most important thing for you? We should discuss that!

NON- CUSTODIAL
TRULY DECENTRALIZED
OPEN SOURCE
(...)
I agree with this list but I just need to add based on my own opinion:
Good user interface/user experience and
Supports multiple platforms.

A good user interface/user experience, it will help people to use the wallet easily and comfortably. Because the wallet must be easy to use especially if you are using it day to day, you need to be extremely easy!@

About supporting multiple platforms: mobile support, computers like windows/macOS support, or even web support, it will help you also to use your wallet on whatever devices you are using while maintaining the security on it.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Back in 2021 Form ;) on: April 25, 2023, 01:19:17 AM
I'm really bullish right now on Ethereum and most of my bags are in Ethereum right now.
The recent Shanghai update of Ethereum helps to become more bullish. There's a lot of money flowing into Decentralized Finance (DeFi) platforms right if you can see, with the rise of multiple layers 2 networks now, it will also help Ethereum to scale and get benefits too.
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Benefits of Bitcoins recent price drop on: April 25, 2023, 01:16:53 AM
With the current price, some people will still not invest in Bitcoin Many will still be expecting a fall in the price till it starts rising.
(....)
This is a common problem with us, it's on our emotions and I believe most people can relate when times that price is dropping, we are afraid to buy because we are thinking it may still go down. Same also when pumping, we are thinking it will always go up and we really feel happy about it without thinking other circumstances.
1237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when there is a bear run in Bitcoin on: April 25, 2023, 01:11:06 AM
(...)
Do not panic: It's important not again panic and sell your Bitcoin immediately. Bear runs can be unpredictable, and the price may rise again.
I believe that this is the common issue or problem that most people experience during a bear market. We can't blame some people because they are just afraid about their money.
Some could also be new to this market, like new people enter in Bitcoin market and its their first time to experience bear market, I believe they are much more afraid compared to OGs who experienced multiple bear markets/bull markets.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Competitors: Who will lose Relevance? on: April 24, 2023, 01:01:56 AM
(...)
a)  Polygon zkEVM functionality
I'm going with Polygon zkEVM functionality. Polygon is a serious project and Polygon is one of the projects that is helping Ethereum to scale since day 1, as Polygon was a popular layer 2 network during the early days of layer 2.
So for me, I don't think so Cardano and other projects will have the power to compete with Polygon. Polygon got a strong team and community.
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: April 24, 2023, 12:59:17 AM
My assumption is that the market will rise to its peak in June, then until the end of the year it will continue to fall until it's lowest point again.
and will start rising again in 2024 when the world economic situation has started to improve.
How did you say this? If you can see how huge we dropped since last year, I am not expecting any dump again starting now. What we just experienced a few days ago is just minor corrections since we already reached $30,000 on Bitcoin.
So, I am expecting to get back on $30,000 after this correction and the run will continue until next year which is the Bitcoin block halving event will happen.
1240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price gets to $60k this year? on: April 24, 2023, 12:53:13 AM
(......)
But the question is; is it possible for bitcoin to reach $60k by this year? No serious bulls happening currently and if it continues in this little increase probably it will not get anywhere close to $60k. Share your views.
For me yes, I am very bullish for Bitcoin to be back at an all-time high this year. We are only 60% away from an all-time high and if you can see how Bitcoin pumped from $15,000 to $30,000, then from its current price to an all-time high, it's always possible.
And if you do always the analysis on the Bitcoin block halving, we see a huge bull market before the Bitcoin block halving event.
